Now you're doing the Waltz with your Murderer.

The streets were aflame, with no explanation as to the appearance of the blaze, or time to combat it. A shadow trailed past corridors and yards, the shadow of a beast. Taller than the homes, the great dog stalked. As men folk fled their homes, seeking water from the sea with which to dispose the flames, they were quickly struck down. There was only reason for the death and destruction of a few dozen innocents. He had nothing better to do. A heel crashed down upon the villager's ribs, the knight leaning forward to yank an ax free of the bone. Daemion would ignore the final, pained gasps for breath. It would be all to easy to just end the man's suffering. But there was no ounce of pity in the dog turned man. Flinging the blood from the hand ax, the cerberus started off to the next row of houses. |

Close your eyes and dream.

Ashling stared in utter disbelief with the destruction. From the distance he saw the flames. They outlined the town against the dark horizon. Homes fell to the hunger of the fire, eating away at the The mage clinched his staff tightly, anguished by the loss of life. But he couldn't let anger cloud his judgement. Sucking in a smoke filled breath, he calmed and began to think clearly. His fears would have to be put aside as he started running. This couldn't be tolerated...he felt that this wasn't natural, someone was behind this mindless destruction. People screamed and ran for their lives. Some went to the sea, looking to gather water to exstinguish the flames. But something was stopping them, ending their lives before they even had a chance to save others. The mage quickly found his prey, watching the hellish man rip an axe from a fallen man's chest. The dying gasps sent pinges of regret through his body, pained that he could of not gotten their sooner. The shrouded man jabbed his staff out, pointing at the harbringer of this useless destruction. "You!" Ash could barely muster a word, his anger looking to overwhelm his sensible nature. Through clinched teeth his hissed, "You..." It was all he could muster. This one would need to learn a lesson. |

With a sigh, the hound wiped his ax clean on a soon discarded cloth. They all just fell too easily, they were not worthy of fighting in his mistress's name. But he would not give up, the guild would live again! Despite the lacking quality of those he killed, the dog still found his thirst for blood rising. Like the predator he was, scavenger too, all this dead meat was making him hungry ... Maybe he'd just take a bite... "What." As if noticing the man for the first time, the cerberus glanced upwards. Just as he was preparing to carve a chunk out flesh from a fresh corpse, some fool was calling to him. Canine eyes scarcely glanced to his accuser, before he ripped off some meat and took a bite from it. Mankind was not his Preferred prey. But he'd take what he could get. |
