Ride 'em Crowgirl! (yee-haw!)

The Land of Avalon is a freeform medieval/fantasy roleplaying site loosely based on Arthurian lore. Avalon is home to many friendly members, administrators, and position holders, most of whom are always willing to RP, no matter how new a person might be to the site. With a large shop system full of various spells, items, and equipment no two characters are the same. With character races ranging from elves and humans to dragons, chimeras, and demons Avalon welcomes a wide range of races and RP skill levels. Okay, so I've been here a few days before posting a hello. Mea Culpa. I'd planned to import a character I was familiar with and played with for years... then ended up junking her and building a bigger, better, stronger, faster... Oh, wait. That would be the Bionic Man. Ahem At any rate, the application took all of my attention for a few days, as I researched what I wanted, decided what was believable, discarded what wasn't, tried to make it all fit... Especially since I couldn't change her name lol. The birthing process was long, painful and tedious, but I think I did a credible job, considering... Considering my knowledge of Avalon is kind of limited to things like the Knights That Go "Nip!" (That, and Prince Valiant cartoons in the Sunday Funnies, growing up...) Yeah, I read the Once and Future King about 25 years ago but I was much more interested in the mystery of how Wonder Woman seemed to be on a first-name basis with Hera, and how that connected logically with the Amazonians lol. I suppose if this were an Xmen forum, I would have been completely prepared with a character and bio, not to mention an entire history of how she fits into Xavier's school... That isn't to say that Avalon and the Misty Isles aren't fascinating, otherwise I wouldn't be here (okay, I was issued an invitation and I can't help myself, but still...). I'm excited to see what y'all got and how I might fit in... But, truth us, I haven't RPd any of the above. I usually lurk on (don't laugh!) Potterverse sites. Mainly because the whole universe is set out before us with a lexicon and anything I haven't memorized by reading the books ten times is easily searched with a clickie clickie... If I make errors in play, I apologize in advance, and please feel free to correct me (gently, with a smile) and I promise to do the best I can with this universe. But I think I can (hope I can) do a credible job. Obviously, I can type three hundred-fifty words into a post lol. So... Ride 'em crowgirl, (The Magpie flutters in).
