The Land of Avalon is a freeform medieval/fantasy roleplaying site loosely based on Arthurian lore. Looks ageless Class Monk Profession Wanderer Alignment None Member Name Frederick	Briarieus gazed out across the pains, and saw a herd of wild buffalo grazing on the tall grass. Finally, some food. I'm starving., Briarieus thought. He advanced on the buffalo, keeping low to the ground , to avoid startling them. Unfortunately, his size, which was usually an asset, betrayed him, and the buffalo scattered.

Being as tired as she was, she was almost willing to sleep where she fell, but that woman was still after her. The one who captured her and her twin brother. "Ah, my brother. Dearest Khal," Masi spoke in her native tongue, "Please tell me, wherever you be, that you are safe." Wild animals ran around near her and she stood her ground until they left her and she fell to her knees. "Mustn't stop now," again she said in her native language, "Need to find shelter of sorts. Oh the gods, deliver us, now from such a horrid place!"

Oh, my head, Masika thought and moved her hand to her head. A lot of force would only be possible to make her head as hurt as it did then. "Great gods, whatever you are get off me this instant," Masi groaned, in the egyptian tongue, as she tried to get up from the recent fall. Wasn't this a lovely day so far? With the way it just happened, she didn't think so.

Suddenly the weight was lifted and she turned over onto her side to look up at the man and saw his hand come down and winced, waiting for a hit from the stranger. Then recalled what he had said. Moving her hand down, she studied him for a moment then spoke cautiously, "Yes, I am quite alright," she said in his tongue with an egyptian accent. Her eyes gazed down to his hand then back up to his face.

Why are they purple and white, Masi thought curiously and frightenedly. Then he spoke and it changed to a females voice. The Gods! What is it?! Masika began to shake in fear and moved to knees in front of the giant person. "If you be a god forgive me. I didn't know. Please do not harm me," she said hurriedly in egyptian as she bowed in front of it with her forehead kissing the ground.

Speaking into ground, she muffled in her best english as possible, leaving an odd accent go with it, "Forgive me, dear god. I did not mean to have you lose a sacrifice. If it pleases you, milord, take my life and spare the animal."

"With your appearance, my god, you are what you are. There be no reason to hide the truth. Maybe finally you can help my brother and I to get back to our beloved homeland, Egypt," Masi said as she began to tremble. She left her brother behind. How cruel could that be, after he had done everything for her? A tear rolled off her cheek and softly hit the ground in her last memory of him. He was fighting to keep her safe and she left him to die.

Why so far from the sand land and here to many bladed forests," Masika's eyes narrowed. "Have the other gods already asked for our mortal deaths," she questioned unsure if the underworld was where she is to be put for her duties. Getting up so ever slowly to her feet, Masi looked up to the god named Briseis. Never in her history has she heard of this god. Her face calmed a little as she tried to put missing puzzles together. Anubis only came during mummification. This wasn't him. Perhaps it is a new or modern god. Or even so, a god of this place, she thought.
