Zekiel
Sinisterly Cynical
His horse plodded along through the rain swept streets, his scythe strapped across his back, his sword strapped to the saddle. In fact, a lot of things were strapped on either him or the horse, weapons all. The few who came out this evening in the rain avoided him, it seemed. In truth, in his black cloak which covered his dark armor, that's the thing he wanted. There was nothing more interesting than humans who cower away from someone they had never met. Zekiel had the power to bring death to these streets, the power to wreak havoc before anyone could lift a finger to stop him. He could cause decay to come to a babe as he did so, and really he wouldn't flinch. But that wasn't the cold-natured Zekiel's style. His reasons for doing things were few, in fact, his reason for being out in the rain, Famine underneath him probably miserable, but at least covered in black cloth, was just to brave the weather. He endured it, despite it being cold, and windy, so windy that his cloak wrapped around him as he drove his horse down the streets. It was nearing winter, and he expected that when the sun totally fell from the sky, snow may blanket the city and surrounding areas. The thought made him smile, "Then perhaps" he muttered to himself, looking with much accusation at a human struggling through the weather, "I will have the street to myself." He liked that thought, very much actually.

A glimpse of the Soul
Dance stood, with there eyes flecked with silver and sparked with an aged wisdom. Don’t you know how much I hate the rain Sharlett muttered in there mind with a resigned sigh. “I know” The soul, Dance, replied with the barest whisper aloud. look, I’m sure that what ever it is you gota do can wait she continued to grumble, and once more the soul gave the vaguest answer. “It cannot.” fine, I get the hint... I’ll be quite Sharlett mumbled with another sigh. She would roll her eyes, but they were currently not under her control. A rider caught Dance’s eye like a fly in the dark to a light. They snapped to his heavily armed appearance and there silver eyes narrowed on the shadowy figure, wondering what trouble he brought. unable to keep quite, Sharlett paused in her grumbling to sparkle in curiusity whats this?

Zekiel
Sinisterly Cynical
There Zekiel was, plodding along, looking the role of dark knight about to commit mass slaughter. Or, that's what he thought others thought of him, he kind of hoped that they saw him and were immediately intimidated. Oh, sure, he had never really gone into a town to take the lives of others, but they didn't know that. In truth, he'd never even killed a child, and the only adults he had killed pretty much deserved it. He looked around at the sort of people walking, suppressing a chill as one of the very cold very wet leather pads inside his armor touched his skin. He should be miserable, but he reveled in this sort of thing, because that was the sort of odd character he was.

A large man, probably drunk, continued to stumble, lost about three steps to every ten he took because he was more fat than muscle, and the wind got him more so than most. He swiveled led his head around to look at the other side of the street, as he was in the very center, not really trying to stay close to a building to avoid not just the rain, but the wind as well. It came from behind him either way, and so his movements were impeded only by his cloak. Why he wore one, he would never be able to explain, it just looked dashing, or ominous, he thought. A rare smile caught his lips inside the helmet that stood about two or three inches out from his face and only covered his mouth and down loosely. He could drink as he walked if he wanted to just by the rain that collected there to travel down his soaked armor. His eyes caught a fair lady, a sort of small lady, a very young lady, and he could have sworn that she had silver eyes. She was traveling in the opposite direction he was. But he decided now was a good time to appear sinister to the very small crowd so they might clear the streets faster.

He shook the reigns a little bit, turning Famine towards her, and stopped directly in front of her path. With a very menacing and very evil sounding voice (he thought, anyway, though he was a really poor actor,) he announced, loudly so she could hear, though despairingly, he doubted many others would, “How.. Do you do?” He asked, thinking that that would surly stun her. (Clearly he had not really thought his words out if he truly meant to play the part of cruel dark knight inches from going on a rampage. However, just from those words, one could gather that perhaps he was not a good guy, maybe not a neutral fellow, but not SO SO bad.)

A glimpse of the Soul
There eyes faded to brown as Sharlett took control. The knight was stepping in front of them and Dance was reluctant to relinquish control, Sharlett’s big mouth was bound to get them in trouble. “How do I do? Sharlett demanded with a flash of annoyance. “Im frustrated, tired, wet, have no say in were im going and some random stranger has just stopped us, and I think that—“ Sharlett! Dance snapped. I know that you think since I joined you our combined magic leaves us without danger, but it doesn’t. I know nothing about this stranger, so let us learn in peace, my friend she begged.

Sharlett made there expressions scowl for a moment before there eyes flooded once more with silver. Dance inclined there head, just slightly in apology “It would appear I let my angered side get the better of me, and I apologise” She murmured softly, and, well, it wasn’t exactly a lie. “I wonder if I may ask what leads you here on such a night?” She continued softly. Her silver eyes glancing upwards from there inclined position before she lifted her head once more to search for the eyes of the knight. Something about this stranger spoke a longing to appear evil, yet his words were not thought through, and certainly not evil. your right Sharlett realised, sharing Dance’s perspective nature well the soul was in control I wonder, then, what he is?

You Gotta Make It Happen.
Äelindis stepped out of the tavern.
It was a dark night. The kind of nights which usually, in stories, involve witches dancing around fires, assassins meeting in dark guild headquarters, and death himself coming out to reap his harvest.
Of course, real life wasn't a story. It was usually scarier.
And on this particular knight, some sort of dark knight was prowling the streets. Äelindis shivered, then pulled himself together. He was a mercenary, for heavens sake. Albeit, one without a sword, but he that was only because someone stole it when he was drunk. He could get through this. Easily.
Then he saw that the knight was blocking the path of someone.
Cautiously, he crept into an alley, watching the conversation intently.

Sinisterly Cynical
Zekiel watched the young lady intently, trying to gauge her reaction, hoping it would be one of pure terror and intimidation. Instead, her eyes changed color, his eyes narrowed at her as she stood there, his voice returned to its slightly cold and hallow norm. His voice didn't really ever seem to come from his mouth, but reverberate outward from his body, unless someone looked at his mouth as he spoke. But, because it was covered on this particular occasion, it came out seeming more evil than his acting had. “You can't choose where you go but your mouth tells me you are a fiery little woman.” He said to her, omitting mentioning the strange way her eyes had changed color. His eyes might not exist, he thought, an uncommon wave of regret swimming over him because of that fact.

Her eye color changed, yet again, and the temper seemed to leave her. That told him something quickly, there were two people in one body, that was odd. “Angered side, yes.” He muttered more to himself, but above the rain so he could be heard. He liked to think where people could hear him. She asked him what he was up to, driving his horse around looking like he was going to do it all night. He looked around, and then looked up, and though she couldn't have been able to see his face to begin with due to his hood and helmet, he stared into the distance, ominously saying. “Blood will be shed tonight, and lives will be taken.” He just felt like it was right to say. Though he doubted he would really be killing anyone. His hand touched the hilt of his sword, strapped to the horse in front of him as if to make a point.

A glimpse of the Soul
Dance’s silver flecked eyes narrowed now on the strange knight. “No blood should spill without a purpose, and even then it has no right.” She whispered softly. Her silver flecked eyes drifting to the dark steed as she continued to speak. “Are you to say you wish to kill? On such a night the moon is still...” She trailed off and seemed to look thoughtful, but really she was having a conversation. What on earth is that suppose to mean? Sharlett demanded, inner voice filled with curiosity. Actually Dance went ahead to explain it means a number of things, although I don’t except him to full understand, the purpose of the words hold the same she finished you... still lost me Sharlett muttered in annoyance. Dance gave an inner sigh and tried again. I’m trying to understand his purpose, Sharlett, bear with me she begged, and her friend finally fell silent.

Sinisterly Cynical
He saw her eyes narrow, and he didn't move, wondering if maybe she wasn't just sheltering her eyes from the rain even though he blocked the majority of it from pelting her, along with the rain. He grunted at the prospect that he might be helping the lady who seemed to be walking through the streets without purpose, such as he. “Seems to me that any blood spilled tonight would be washed away, best weather to do it in.” The nod of his head was visible as if he was confirming what he was saying. She mentioned something about the moon being still, next and so he looked up and found that he couldn't see much of anything up there. It was dark, black clouds blocking the moon. The only light, in fact, was from the sheltered lanterns that were rare. It was dim at best, and the only reason he could really say anything about her eyes was because of the strange silver color that stood out. “I may.” Was his only answer, an honest one at that. He didn't plan on it, though, but he figured it sounded evil enough.

Dance... weren’t you just saying were not invisinsable, well he’s saying he’s a murderer, is he not? Sharlett asked edgily, obviously worried. Relax, my friend Dance countered. I’m not yet sure if he is a threat, I think... he only wants to seem that way the soul mused. Just... don’t get us killed she begged. I know the soul promised, flicking her attention from the internal conversation and back to the knight. “Rain will never wash a stain” She shrugged, her silver eyes locked on were the knights should be – but were not. Aside from Sharlett’s edgy feelings, Dance looked completely unafraid. Sharlett was still deciding If this was idiocy, a face for a reason, or if she knew something that Sharlett did not.

Sinisterly Cynical
Zekiel seemed to have his convictions about the woman confirmed further and further every time her eyes stopped seeing him. Oh, she was looking at him the whole time, but he doubted she was seeing him. Either the woman could change her eyes and emotions in a snap, and she was extremely thoughtful, or it was two in one as he suspected. Whichever it was, he doubted it effected him very much, though he wondered if he could get someone inside his head to talk to every now and then. Maybe he could sleep while they took over – he would have to look into it. The horseman bowed his head to her, and backed his horse up a little so that she could pass him. “It will begin to snow soon, and the wind will only pick up. Perhaps indoors is where a young girl such as yourself should be?” He asked, chuckling on the inside as per his preference. He liked being mysterious, if she heard his hearty, albeit hallow, chuckle, she would know he didn't truly mean any of it. That just couldn't do, maybe he would need to hit her or something, in the arm maybe. Maybe that would give him a good - well, okay, a not so good reputation. Infamy, he thought, would be interesting at least. It would give him something to do with his spare time, which was generally his entire life..

A glimpse of the Soul
Dance’s silver eyes frowned at the knightly figure as his horse pranced backwards, leaving room for her to pass. She blinked slowly, and stepped back herself, as through saying, he could leave anytime he wanted as well. “I have no place inside, this night” She replied softly. He was not the only one who could be mysteries, secretive. “Rather, I have a journey to complete” She explained. Yeah... when you going to tell me the whole point of your ‘journey’ anyway? Scarlett grumbled. when the time is right, my friend was Dance’s answerless answer. Dance dipped her head at the stranger in good bye and slowly passed.

The horseman watched them pass by a moment, and then turned his horse to follow slowly, but he moved back out into the center of the street. He watched her carefully, making it obvious that he intended to follow her where ever she went. What better thing did he have to do? Plus, if someone attacked him for following her, he could have something else to do. He was sure, however, that it didn't much matter to others, they were busy moving from one place to the other, slowly, but Famine never slowed, never even whinnied as they moved along. Zekiel took the scythe down from his back, growing tired of the awkward slant it sat at most of the time, and held it in his right hand off to the side, his left on the horn of his saddle, trusting Famine not to do anything too sudden to knock him off. He didn't really put it passed the horse, he had no doubt in his mind that were his armor legs not clamped firmly around the horse, he would be on his hundredth unsuccessful flying lesson at that moment. Still, his attention wasn't to his horse, but to the woman whom did not reveal her name.

Dance paused in her walking to flick a gaze behind her, some sixth sense warning her of a gaze that had not left her. She was right, to, the horse rider followed slowly behind. Gheez, did we just gain a stalker? Sharlett tried to sound annoyed, but instead she fell to worried. Easy, Sharlett Dance soothed. I’m afraid he has put us behind schedule, all we can do now is ignore him. Dance could feel her friends unease, but all she could do was push it aside and continue walking, her hand tight on her concealed elvan dagger – just in case. They slipped swiftly through the wet and almost completely empty streets, the direction they headed in, it was soon obvious, was not random. They were heading for a way out of the city.

Sinisterly Cynical
He took down his hood, for no other reason than to keep it from blocking his vision. The cloth tended to stretch when wet, and so it sometimes went over his eyes. The top of his helmet was stowed away in one of the bags on his horse, and so his long hair that had been bunched in his hood fell down his back. Most of his head was bald, besides that one spot of long hair towards the back of his head, which was held in a pony tail. He hated the term for it, it sounded stupid, but for the life of him he wasn't going to cut off the only hair he had left. His eyes, now easily seen, were nothing more than shadowy, smokey holes, though one couldn't see passed the blackness. He didn't know where in the city he was, and so any direction, to him, seemed random, because his own direction was random. He urged his horse a little faster so that he could pull alongside her, though he wouldn't be close.

“Clearly one would assume you're going to stop for the night somewhere.” He said offhandedly, now his cloak billowed behind him from the change of his direction. “Yet you say you are not going anywhere indoors. No provisions on your person, so you're obviously not going out of the city – you would starve to death. Are you homeless, then?” He asked. The rain made anybodies clothes look of poor quality as was, and that included his run down cloak that stuck to his armor and skin.

Dance’s silver flecked eyes, incapable of showing anger, simply showed little emotion at all, let alone surprise as the rider appeared beside her. “Homeless... sure, I guess you could use that term if you want, although personally I prefer wonderer.” She mused offhand. She didn’t even turn her gaze to him as she continued to walk, with Sharlett’s unease vibrating through every bone and muscle, making it difficult, but not imposable, to walk on as through she had no care in the world. “As for provisions, well, I an’t telling a stranger were to find them” she said with a flick of a possible smile. She made a swift turn, cutting in front of the horse, taking care not to get to close to the hooves as she took the street she wanted. She glanced up at the murky sky, but there was little to no way of telling the time. Finally Sharlett breathed in relief, as the exit came into view, surely the rider would not follow them out of the city. Don’t get your hopes up Dance warned softly, and received no reply.
