Morgana had always seemed to enjoy ruins. While she was still living in Fincayra, she had visited the Ruins of Verigal a few times to distract herself from her painful memories. There was just something about them. Perhaps it was knowing that, though dead now, these cities had once been teeming with life. That she could walk the halls, or what was left of them, of royalty without having to worry about having some sort of invitation. Granted everything of value was usually already long gone. But the architecture itself spoke of another time. And the Castle of Indrea was particularly unique. The castle itself was the only thing left of the city that had once been here. Made up of five different monolithic statues, it was unlike anything that she had ever seen before. She had stopped after crossing the bridge to take her shoes off, because her feet had hurt from traveling for so long. Leaving her shoes there because she figured that no one else was likely to come across them and she could just get them on her way back, she continued on. The combinations of the cool stones and grass helped to soothe her aching feet somewhat. And she seemed to feel more at peace that way, being in direct contact with nature. She sat down at the edge of the crumbling wall and watched the water from the river that surrounded the island flow past. It really was a nice night. |

This was getting rather annoying to the Elf-Demon Glorfindel of the White Blood. Indrea had long since been an attraction for adventurers from across Avalon, but this was ridiculous. Long before Glorfindel had come to the castle and set up his operations there, Indrea had been stripped of all of its valuables, from silverware to the fine silk curtains. The elf-demon had done minor restorations, but there was nothing at this castle that would interest a profiteering adventurer. And yet, he'd found himself contending with adventurers stumbling upon him in the castle, whereby forcing the Elf-Demon to kill them or break them to his cause, lest they leave and expose him to unwanted ears. The Dark Prince, the demon that was possessing Glorfindel, was a minion of a far greater evil: Reman Monotheril, the Warlock of the North That Destroyed the Kingdom. Several years ago, the mighty sorceror attacked Glorfindel's home country of Elune with a massive army of undead and demonic forces, intent on razing the country to the fallow earth to try and kill his son and wife. He was narrowly defeated during the final, climatic battle in Elune's capital city, but the country had been almost completely despoiled by then, close to ninety-five percent of the once-utopian country had been burned or heavily damaged. Three years ago, when Glorfindel left Elune to come to Avalon, much of the country was still in shambles despite a rigorous rebuilding effort. And now, here was another hapless soul who'd come to his castle, seeking Gods-knew-what. Glorfindel didn't care, one more soul to sacrifice to his master was one less he'd have to go looking for in the country at large. Indrea, which had long been rumored to be haunted, still seemed to provide a tantalizing taste of adventure to those seeking it. Glorifndel had left his throne room to meet this new arrival, melding with the shadows as he entered the grounds. He stalked through the estate, using his keen Elven senses to track this new one to her very resting place atop one of the low walls that surrounded the estate, having since been devestated in a siege that had purged the previous master of the castle. The mage had fallen to a massive assault of warriors and mercenaries led by one known as Kainen. Glorfindel had been among them, and once the castle was taken and abandoned, Glorfindel took this lifeless husk as his own. He broke his shadow meld to appear right behind the elf-girl, her pointed ears apparent to the observant elf-demon underneath her waves of raven hair. She was elven, though she was much too pale to be a High Elf like Glorfindel was. She was an interesting sort, which intrigued him. "Beautiful, isn't it", began Glorfindel out of the blue, coming up behind the smaller woman as she gazed into the clear river that ran around Indrea's island. |

She had just been sitting there, staring into the water and thinking of nothing in particular when the back of her neck began to tingle, which was ridiculous because she was quite sure that the place was deserted. She rubbed the back of neck, figuring that it might have just been sore, but the feeling didn't go away. She frowned slightly, but made no move to search for a source that she didn't believe was there. So when he addressed her, she gasped and her jump caused her to slip off the wall to land unceremoniously on the ground. She quickly stood up, nervous and somewhat embarrassed, trying to regain some sense of composure. Her gaze lifted to the man and her cheeks immediately flushed with color. He was quite clearly a high-born high elf, and quite an attractive one at that. But it wasn't just his good looks, he seemed to have a certain 'bad boy' aura. Her smile was hesitantly flirtatious. "Quite," she breathed in reply. "Tell me, do you make a habit of sneaking up on people?" |

His sudden appearance surprised the adventurous elf-girl, just as he'd wanted it to. She fell over the broken retaining wall and hit the ground with a rather powerful "THUD". When she stood up and got a good look at him, however, this girl's expression changed from surprise to a rather embarrassed expression of physical attraction. When she grinned rather shyly, Glorfindel was a bit surprised to see two canine teeth that were much longer and thicker than the rest, indicating that she was a vampire. This explained her rather fair shading of skin tone, as no elf was naturally that pale, not even high elves. However, Elves were supposed to be pure beings, and for a vampire to feast upon one would spell their inevitable doom, unless they ate a half-breed. Perhaps this was why she was both a vampire and an elf. Half-breeds never really had that sort of powerful purity that a pureblood did. Her rather put-off answer and subsequent question brought a small, arrogant-looking smirk to the Elf-Demon's face. He could tell that she seemed to have a hard on for him, and he intended to exploit this apparent weakness. "Not always, though I'm well within my rights to", retorted Glorfindel with a rather smug tone to his voice, "This place is, afterall, my castle, and you're intruding upon my private property. Without shoes, I might add. The only people who don't wear shoes in this country are peasants, but your complexion and elven blood shows that you're no commoner. So tell me, strange elf-vampire, what brings you to my domain?" |

Her reply seemed to amuse him. Though any amusement he had was lost as he spoke. Well within his rights? And how did he figure that? As he revealed that he owned the ruins, her eyebrows raised slightly in surprise and her mouth formed a perfect little 'o'. And then he commented on her lack of shoes. She wanted to groan. She wasn't expecting anyone to be here, so she hadn't worried about them. And now here she was totally disadvantaged for a first impression. "I'm certainly not a peasant," she confirmed with a slight pout. It wasn't only peasants who liked to walk barefoot at times. As an elf he should be able to understand the draw to nature. He hesitated when it came to his question. She hadn't known that anyone lived here. The thought had never crossed her mind. "Well...I...I like ruins," she offered weakly with a slight shrug. "I didn't realize that anyone actually lived here. |

"You like ruins", was Glorfindel's short, but rather amused, reply. It was interesting enough to find an elf barefoot in his domain, but it was especially amusing to find her claiming to be drawn to Indrea because she liked ruins. "Well, now you know that someone lives here. So what do you think I should do with you? Should I invite you in and offer you hospitality, or would you rather me bind you and imprison you within my castle for trespassing upon my grounds?" Glorfindel smiled, showing rows of his wicked, pointed teeth as he started lightly fingering the hilt of White Blood upon his back. The demonic zweihander twinkled rather menacingly as light flashed across its rather intricately-designed surface. Whatever this elf-woman chose, she would be doomed entirely. If she attempted to leave the grounds, he would have no choice but to capture her, for he couldn't risk someone spreading rumors about an elf living in the ruins of Indrea. "Come now, be quick about this", said Glorfindel rather silkily, "I'm a busy person. I have things to do. So if you would kindly make your choice now, I'll be able to move on with my night. Your intrusion has disrupted some rather....delicate operations I've been doing." |

Her reply seemed to amuse him slightly. Though she didn't seem as sure of that amusement as he continued, offering two extreme options. Demanding hospitality of him would be rude as he had had no time to plan for a guest. Then again being bound and imprisoned for not knowing that someone lived in a ruined castle seemed rather unfair. As he smiled wickedly and fingered the sword at his back, she fought the urge to take a step back. She didn't really like that look, or the looks of that sword. He silkily demanded an answer. "Well I suppose I could just...go." She paused, eyeing him for a reaction, then added. "And then you could get back to what you were doing. No harm done? Right?" She chose to take her step back then. And another. Trying to slowly back away, but not appear ready to run. |

Glorfindel smirked rather menacingly as he drew White Blood from his back and then summoned a set of six Summoned Blades from behind Morgana, who was attempting to flee from the castle. This would effectively seal her exit and force her to choose between his two choices. Though the elf side of him regretted this course of action, the Dark Prince had made it quite clear that any intruders onto Indrea's grounds would have to either be enslaved or killed to preserve their anonymity and prevent people from poking around. Rumors of a person living in the ruins of Indrea would draw unwanted attention to their operation. Even as the elf's barefeet lightly padded across the ground as she began to flee, Glorfindel had cut her escape off. "I'm afraid I can't have you doing that, miss", said Glorfindel, once again in his rather smooth, silky tone, "If word got out of there being someone living within these ruins, well....It wouldn't be pretty. So if you're going to force my hand, then place your hands behind your back. Otherwise, you will force my hand." Glorfindel gestured to the rapidly-spinning, hovering blades behind the girl. "Plus, what is your name? I never caught it." |

He drew the sword and she gulped nervously as her eyes widened. This was most certainly not going well at all. Her mouth opened wordlessly as she took another careful step back, hoping not to cause him to lunge at her or anything. He continued in that silky tone of his. He didn't want anyone to know that he was there? That was fine. She could keep a secret. And it wasn't too hard to believe that whatever punishment he saw necessary for not doing such wouldn't be pretty. "I...I won't tell anyone. I swear," she breathed, hardly registering his next words until he motioned behind her. She spun around and gasped. Her blood running cold and all color drained from her face, she slowly turned back towards him as he inquired as to her name. As if he hadn't just threatened her with bodily harm, and this was merely a polite conversation. Her first attempt to answer him came out as a croak. She swallowed in an attempt to wet her dry throat. "Morgana," she breathed, quickly pleading, "please don't hurt me," as she focused all of her attention on him and whatever his reaction would be. |

"Tck, tck, tck", pitied Glorfindel as Morgana attempted to beg for mercy instead of surrendering, which would, in turn, force his hand, "I already told you that you cannot leave. And seeing as you've continued to defy me, even resorting to pitiable begging, you have forced my hand." With a snap of his fingers, the elf-demon's floating blades dashed forward toward Morgana, seemingly about to cut her to ribbons. Instead, they stopped, spinning like saw blades but circling her body at every angle, lightly nicking and cutting into her flesh as they did so. This, in effect, trapped the elf in what was basically a cage. "Now, are you going to surrender or do I need to shrink the radius of protection from those blades", inquired Glorfindel rather tactlessly as Morgana's flesh was nicked on occasion by the blades, every it of her bare flesh from her bared feet to her face. Her clothes, too, were being slowly shredded away by the summoned swords. "Now", Glorfindel taunted as he called the blades to widen away from Morgana to allow her a bit of breathing room, "place your hands behind your back, or we'll just see how much blood you can lose before you die!" Glorfindel's voice was gradually deepening to an unnatural deep-pitched timbre, a small reflection of his demon. |

"Now wait a minute that's hardly..." her protest was cut off when she heard the swish of the blade's approach through the air. She closed her eyes as her body tensed for their impact. She gasped as she felt the first nick. But the nicks continued and their depth was hardly worthy of being a killing cut. Far from it, it would actually take some time for this to inflict that end. Instead the blades bit at her skin and slowly began to shred her clothes. And she went from scared to pissed. "Protection?" she repeated icily, her eyes narrowing and her expression just as cold. Clearly this man's looks were nothing in relation to the character within. Though, for the sake of self-preservation, she actually did place her hands behind her back as he requested this time. "Mmm, I think I'd rather like to see how much blood you could stand to lose." Right at that moment, if she had the chance she certainly would have slapped him. |

"There", chided Glorfindel as Morgana placed her dainty hands behind her back, "was that so hard? You could have saved yourself a few cuts and scrapes if you'd just been more.....submissive." The demented elf-demon put a note of emphasis on the last word as he lithely made his way around the stranded high elf and uncoiled the lengths of ropes. "Come now, don't be too angry. I promise that I'll make a great host for you..." The silken words of the elf-demon hung in the air as he called off the torment of the summoned blades and began to tightly bind the elf-woman's hands behind her back. He looped around her wrists several times to restrain them individually before he proceeded to loop around both wrists with the remaining length, knotting the rope on the outside facing toward him. This effectively cut off the use of her hands both individually as well as together, for her movements were basically restricted to light wriggling of her wrists. After that, he wrapped a coil of rope around her chest and then back outside, around her arms, so as to anchor the elf's arms to her body and further restrict her availability of movement. When he was finished, Glorfindel redrew White Blood and poked Morgana in the back. "March", growled Glorfindel, urging the barefoot elf forward. They journeyed forward into the dilapidated Castle of Indrea. The front doors stood open from when its master had made his exit. Once the two elves were inside, Glorfindel closed the two great doors before pressing Morgana forward. There was nothing but silence as they made their way to Glorfindel's throne room minus the light pad of Morgana's bare feet upon the smooth marble floor. When they entered the throne room, Glorfindel roughly pushed the helpless elf into the dimly-lit room before making his way to the great stone throne in the center of the great room. Mounting the dais and sitting upon his broken chair, Glorfindel motioned to the ground in front of the dais his throne sat upon. "Kneel before my glamor", ordered the elf-demon, sheathing White Blood before removing it from his back and hanging it over the back of the throne, "and be quick about it. You know the consequences of refusal, Morgana." |

"I don't do submissive with men that don't know how to be polite. I'd hate to see you being a bad host." She gasped and her back arched as he pulled her wrists tightly together as he began to bind them. He didn't stop at just her wrists though. He made sure her arms were completely secured. There was no way that she was going to be getting out of these ropes unless he wanted her to. Just to make sure, she tested them in vain. He prodded her in the back with the tip of his swords as he growled for her to march. She grimaced as she arched away from the blade in the direction he wanted, wishing that she had at least had her shoes. Why had she taken them off anyway? It seemed like such a stupid idea now. They reached the inside of the castle and she heard the ominous sound of the doors slamming shut behind her. She paused only to be nudged again by that damn sword. When they reached the throne room he shoved her in, causing her to stumble slightly. Luckily, she caught herself. He proceeded to his throne, where he sat. Then motioning to the floor at his feet, he ordered her to kneel before him. That earned him a scowl. Of course that earned her a reminder of what he could do. Though the thought of having those blades cutting around her again was somewhat tempting, no doubt it would cut through the ropes, she didn't see him going as easy on her this time. She did as he asked, much in the manner that a petulant child would have done a chore that they had no interest in. "If you're quite through with your degradation...would you mind telling me just what exactly you plan on doing with me?" she practically spat as she glared up at him. "Before I begin", replied Glorfindel, his mood and demeanor changing to a rather apologetic one, "I must apologize for my unsightly behavior. I had to imprison and restrain you because my Master does not wish that anyone should stumble upon our little operation here in the ruins of great Indrea." Glorfindel's face took on a grim pallor as he stood up from his throne and started down toward Morgana's kneeling, bound form. "I am something along the lines of a slave, you could say, as I share a body with a malevolent demon known only as the Dark Prince." Glorfindel circled Morgana's kneeling body lithely, like a cat seemingly about to pounce upon a hapless mouse. He stood behind her as he placed his hands upon her soft, pale cheeks. He lightly stroked her face as he recalled his rather sad predicament. "My Master, the Prince, serves an even higher entity that was born of the mortal plane but exists in the Twisting Nether in which all demons reside. This Warlock ensnared one of the most powerful and ancient demons to his thrall, who now works to return his Master to life. I am, for lack of a better term, a vessel", Glorfindel continued as he knelt down behind the high-elf woman and gently wrapped his arms around her as he lay his head on her shoulder. "I am sorry that you had to be dragged into this little spat between us...." |

Morgana eyed him carefully, not sure whether this show of remorse was genuine or not. His master? What was he going on about? He continued to explain his affliction, sharing his body with a demon. Oh great. Leave it to her to stumble across the only truly disturbed person for miles around. A chill ran down her spine at the predatory way that he circled behind her, her breath catching as he caressed her cheeks. A vessel for true evil. But what are you yourself? she silently wondered. He knelt down behind her and embraced her much as a lover would as he apologized for involving her. She shivered involuntarily. Her head turned to see his face so impossibly closer to hers, she breathed her request, "Then untie me." |
