Lonan had been planning this for a while now. He had always been so busy with the tavern that he hadn't really had a night to devote completely to Alexia. He was extremely sorry for that fact. Finally, Lonan had simply thrown in the towel. He had left the tavern in the hands of Fury and Fang for the evening, and he wasn't sure that his staff was really enjoying the fact that they were taking orders from a talking wolf and a snappy, gruff man. It didn't matter to Lonan. He couldn't feel guilty when the price of spending an entire evening away from the tavern and alone with Lexi was the guilt.

Lonan looked at himself one last time in the floor length mirror in his room and straightened out the black tunic he wore. Finally, he belted a silver belt around his waist and nodded. He looked good. It had been a long time since he had pulled his hair back and tied if off, leaving only a few strands around his face to hang loose. He actually looked like a polished gentleman. He smiled at his reflection sheepishly and then spun around, heading out of his room. He'd never make it downstairs to Lexi if he stood around in his roomk all evening.

He hadn't given Lexi any idea as to where they were headed, and he was glad for it. He had changed his mind about five different times. He had finally settled on a small, quiet and romantic resturaunt where they could have dinner in peace and quiet. Quite frankly, he was really looking forward to it. It'd be nice to just get away for the evening.

Lonan made his way downstairs to wait for Lexi. He was early and he knew it, but he had to admit that he was relatively nervouse. He had told Lexi to dress nice this evening and he only hoped that he lived up to her expectations. Drea caught sight of him from behind the bar and folded her arms across her chest with an amused expression on her face.
"Well, well, well, Boss. You clean up quite nicely." She teased. Lonan cut her a dark look, but the woman wasn't pertrubed. "She'll be charmed off her feet, Lonan. Don't worry." She paused a moment. "And don't think you need all that tip top appeal to make her love you. You're a sweet man, Lonan Hunter, whether you want to be or not."

Lonan sighed and shook his head.
"I hope you're right. No amount of finery, unfortunatly, can see to it that I learn how to behave myself and not get myself into trouble." He said with a teasing smile. Drea's face turned serious.
"Lonan, really. The girls and I like Lexi. She's a sweetheart and we think it's time you stopped worrying about the tavern so much and started living your life again." Lonan gave a nod.
"Thanks, Drea." The woman nodded.
"Treat her right. If you need any pointers, I'm sure Davin'll give you some." She said with a laugh.
"Right, I'm sure I need pointers from your husband." He said, rolling his eyes.

With that, Lonan turned to wait for Lexi to join him downstairs so that they could head off for dinner.

I wonder what he is up to, Lexi smiled as wandered around her room. "Tobias, have you seen the necklace Father gave me long ago," she questioned the undead pup. Lonan had told her to dress nicely tonight. Why? She hadn't a clue. "Tobias?" Again and again she asked for Tobias and she wondered if he was asleep. Turning around expecting to find the pup she saw the necklace on her bed. "Oh, gods! I'm out of it!"

Sighing softly, she picked up the necklace and tied it around her neck. Alexia didn't bother looking into a mirror, she knew what the dress she had on looked like. The woman near her old village used to make dresses for her before she was disowned. Sometime in the morning, when the tavern was busy, as usual, Lexi went to the woman and asked if she had any nice dresses. The old woman showed her a few that fit her but only two had caught her eye. Out of the two, she picked a blue silk gown.

The sleeves slightly fell off her shoulders. The corset that went along with the gown was a darker blue that most held her chest and from the stomach down, it was as flowy as possible. Black lace trimmed the edge of her dress, even a strip of the black lace was sewed to the middle of the corset and wrapped around to meet in the front with a crimson bow. It was an unusual dress for the woman to make but there it was in her shop. Alexia bought it and thanked her old friend and went on her way.

She had been in her room for almost an hour and she was just now waiting and trying to calm down. The necklace her father, Bartholomew, gave her was a nice addiction to the outfit. It was a small crystal or perhaps it was a diamond he once found on his way to the waterfall within the Enchanted Forest.

Sighing to herself, Alexia grasped the doorknob. "I hope I didn't go over board with this," she whispered to herself. Slowly but surely she opened the door and headed down the stairs. Where in the world is Tobias?

((OCC: If I am off and come back on tonight, will you tell me if the outfit is too much?))

Lonan heard someone coming down the stairs from behind him and instinctively knew that it could only be one person. He smiled to himself as he looked at Drea, who was looking at Lexi with a broad smile on her face.
"Good luck, Boss." She said with a knowing wink before turning back to her work. Slowly, Lonan turned towards Lexi. What he saw, just about floored him. She was absolutely gorgeous.

Lonan blinked a few times, trying to find his voice as he simply looked at her, a slow smile spreading across his face.
"My Gods, Lexi. You're stunning." He murmured as he swept her into his arms to hold her closer to him for a moment. He reached up to cradle her face in his hands as he kissed her gently. "I feel like a rag doll beside you." He murmured with a sheepish smile. He wrapped a single arm around her waist and drew her against his side as he began walking her towards the doorway. He wanted to be out of the tavern before any of his regular customers could make a comment to him.

He breathed a sigh of relief once they finally made it outside and into the cool evening air. He turned and smiled towards her. "Truly, Lexi. Looking at you tonight makes me wonder what in the name of the Gods you're doing with a man like me." He said with a teasing smile as he leaned in again and kissed her gently. Slowly, he drew away from her lips. "Tonight, is simply about you and me." He said. "None of the tavern patrons. None of the staff. Just you and me having dinner somewhere nice and quiet and elegant like you deserve." He said with another smile.

Holding small hand fulls of blue silk in her hands, Lexi glided carefully down the stair till was back on a flat surface. Looking up after not falling and kissing the floor, Alexia met Drea's eyes and she smiled nervously towards her. She almost walked to her to ask if she dressed right. A familiar smile blossomed at the corner of her eye and she smiled in return and turn to face Lonan.

Her heart beat as she gazed at him. He sure knows how to clean up. If that smile hadn't of appeared I probably would have walked on by without ever seeing him. Alexia shook her head and laughed sweetly to herself. She felt like a little girl again as heat ran up to her cheeks. Lonan always had his hair down, never up, until now. He seemed more... More... well, charming, maybe nice man? Nah, not my Lonan.

Lexi blushed at Lonan's compliment. Her hands lightly pressed against his waist as they kissed for a split second and she smiled at him afterwards. "You don't look like my Lonan." She giggled and softly touched his cheeks with her finger tips. "But I know he's in there, under such a charming gentleman before my eyes," she teased. "You are breath-taking, dearest." She pushed back a random strand out of his eyes and smiled happily at him. "If you ask me, I feel over-dressed. I would say you could ask Tobias but I haven't seen him all day," she frowned for a moment but blushed when his arm wrapped around her as they exited the tavern.

Once outside, Alexia began to breathe a little easier. Laughing softly at Lonan's statement, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him gently in return. "Does it really matter, my love," Alexia purred, "I believe I can handle being alone with you, without everyone's eyes on us," she laughed richly and once again kissed his soft lips. Pulling back, she asked, "A dinner you say? And where would this be, I wonder."

A smile reached her eyes, "Have I mentioned that I love you yet," slowly she slipped down off her tippy toes and gazed into his unique eyes.

Lonan couldn't help the grin that broke out on his face as she made a comment about the real Lonan being hidden away somewhere beneath the gentleman in front of her. "Well, if you're not careful and aren't mindful to put me in my place, I might start talking in the accent native to the country I come from." He said with a smile. "You ever want to know what that sounds like, talk to my brother." He said with a wink. "I left home a long while ago, and as such, was too young to really adhere to the speech differances. My brother lived back home all of his life, and as such, holds onto the accent." He said. "It's kind of amusing."

"You're not over dressed in the least. However, I might have to fend off admirers of yours while we seat ourselves. Let them know who you're really with." He said with a smile at her. He gave her a mock serious expression. "I dont want to have to fight to my valliant demise for you." He said before smiling. He shook his head. "I really do fail at this whole gentlemanly thing, don't I?" He asked her with a grin.

"Well, I'm certainly glad that you think you can handle my solitary company. It's relieving." He said with a laugh. He sighed and swallowed hard, looking at her. "I honestly can't remember a time when I've been this bloody happy, Lexi. Thank you." He murmured, watching her a moment before he replied to her question about dinner.

"Ah ah ah... you'll see when the time comes, Sweetheart. Until then, you'll have to be patient, won't you?" He asked. He cleared his throat. "I was thinking we could simply walk there. It's not that far of a walk, but if you'd prefer to take a carriage, there's one waiting around back if we need it." He said with a smile. He had convinced one of the women that worked for him to let him borrow the carriage if he needed it tonight. It was up to Lexi though. He wouldn't raise a fuss over using it if she wanted.

She laughed, "Are accents so horrible? I'm sure that the accent isn't too bad, Lonan," Alexia smiled. "Meeting your brother wouldn't be so bad would it? You mentioning the accent makes me all the more curious. And you should know what happens by now when I get curious," she grinned happily.

"That won't be much a problem. When I'm with you, everything around us practically fades out of my sight. Believe me, love, my eyes are only for you. Don't you think that once a woman has her gaze on another man that the admirers will simple take it that there is much more to work up to, to have their eyes set on them?" My God, he is perfect, she thought, So handsome. "Lonan, you are the gentleman that you are, you don't have to act like a man you are not," she wrapped her arms around his waist and looked him in the eye. "Besides, you're being more of gentleman than all the men I met. And that is saying something," she winked then laughed. God, I love you.

"It is my pleasure. And I thank you. It's been mostly two years that I have truly have been happy," lightly she grasped his hand and lifted it to her face and kissed his palm then laid small kisses that led up to his wrist. The smell of blood was faint but she ignored it and looked up at him and smiled softly.

"I suppose I can be as patient as the night is when the sun takes her glory for the day. If it is not as far as you say, then I think we have no need of a carriage. Unless, you would like to go in the carriage then I will not object." If he wanted to be a gentleman then she would let him decide which was better, strolling or riding in a carriage.

Lonan smiled whole heartedly at her.
"Nah... my brother's a good kid. Smart, and hopelessly in love." He said, giving Lexi's shoudler a squeeze. "Reminds me of someone else I know." He said suggestively with a wink in her direction. "Accents aren't bad and I have no problem with them. You'll find, when I have a bit to drink, that mine slips out every now and then." He shrugged. "Good indicator that I've likely had a little too much to drink." He said with a chuckle.

"Ah... yes... well... your eyes might be in the right place, but it's theirs I'm worried about." He gave a guilty shrug. "What can I say? I'm a wee bit territorial when it comes to my woman." He said. He ran an appreciative eye over her. "And honestly, who wouldn't be protective of you in my situation?" He asked her with a sly smile.

Lonan had to laugh.
"I'm not pretending to be anything I'm not. Doning tailored clothing doesn't change the man I am, Alexia." He said with another one of his smiles. "I'm still the teasing, playful tavern-owner you know. Just... polished a wee bit." He said. I want to look like I actually belong by your side and not behind a bar for once. I want people to look at you and me and see how we fit. He thought to himself silently. Lonan was aware of the gruff impression he sometimes gave other people. He wasn't a small man, by any means.

Lonan chuckled as she lifted his hand to her lips.
"Well, here's to hoping for many, many years of happiness to come." His gaze turned soft and his smile turned warm as he looked down at her, his eyes showing every ounce of love her had for her. Lonan may have been a gruff man by appearance, but he was definitely not afraid to let the woman he loved know exactly how much he loved her. She was everything to him and then some.

"Walking suits me more. It's a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of everything else." He smiled. "It's peaceful out here." He leaned in towards her. "Besides, if you get tired on the way I can always carry you." His voice turned a tad husky on that note. He lead the way as they walked. It wouldn't be long before they were at their destination.

A blush heated her cheeks as she was winked at. Had Lonan meant her of himself. she didn't quite know. It might be possible if it was both of them. Softly a smile spread her lips. Love was a tricky angel, indeed. He gave both peace and chaos to the human heart. His arrows give and heal the scars of the romantics. Ah, yes, Cupid was a horribly blessed angel, he was.

"Is that true, love," Alexia giggled. It was a horrible thought but she couldn't help but wonder how his accent suited him and the only way to find out was, well, by giving him as much liquor as needed. You are bad, Lexi. You can just ask him. But... It would be good to know how he is when he is drunk so I can stop him from drinking too much.

Lexi laughed sweetly, "Only just a wee bit, dearest?" She though on his other question. Who wouldn't protect her. That was a good question. Most people that met her said that they would protect her. Was it because she was young looking or that she was too innocent? "There also may be women, you know. They'll want to catch your eye if they can. Have you a clue on what I may do," she purred seductively. It would not be pretty to the woman who saw it but if the men were to see they'll be frightened out of their own skins.

Smiling enough so her fangs won't ruin the image, "I love you, no matter how you look, Lonan. Know that I love you for you," again Alexia kissed Lonan's palm gently. She loved him like no other could ever understand at times it scared her but she gets over ir quickly. Love is love is love. Everyone knew that.

Gazing into Lonan's eyes she felt his cerulean pull once more and wasn't afraid to embrace it. Love, hope, and happiness filled her eyes like the moon reflected on a river or lake.

"Then we shall walk, my love," Lexi blushed. "The night is always more peaceful, it's the only time to enjoy the bright stars and lonely moon. The way the wind blows for lovers to hold closer together," she entwined her fingers with Lonan's and lightly kissed his lips.

A tremble was released when Lonan's voice changed on her. Whenever he did that it got her anxious and excited. Though she never tell him that because it would be embarrassing. She giggled and pulled away, "You forget that I walk everywhere and do not tire often," Alexia winked. "Though if you wanted to carry me all you have to do is say so or ask, dear Lonan." Smiling softly, Lexi willingly followed Lonan by his side to where ever it was they were going.

Lonan chuckled. "I run a tavern, Lexi. It's not often that I get drunk like that, for the simple reason that I'm around drunks all the time." He said with a raised brow. He frowned suddenly and took her hand, pulling her to a stop in front of him. "But there's something I do have to admit. After Alana left me all those months ago... I pulled myself into a non-stop drinking binge. It was pretty bad, and I'm sure that mention of it would come out eventually." He paused a moment, hoping she didn't see him as a lesser man for it. "I-I just thought you'd want to know." He said before dropping her hand and then continuing on.

Lonan raised a brow at her comment about other woman.
"Other women? You mean there are other women in the world other than you?" He said flashing her a smile. "You have nothing to worry about with that, I reassure you." He murmured, kissing the tips of her fingers. "It took you, and only you, to drag me out of the state I was in after everything that's happened, and as such, it's you, and only you, that'll continue making me feel the way I do, Lexi." He murmured.

Lonan chuckled at her comments again. "Well... I think I'll save the carrying bit for later." He said with a wink.

Lonan and Alexia finally made it to their destination. It was a small, quiet resturaunt with dim lighting, but a very romantic feel to it. He opened the door for her and let her slip inside the building before he went in himself. Once inside, he placed a hand on the small of her back and leaned in towards her, kissing the top of her head gently. A young waitress came up to them and lead them towards a small table, set off at the back of the resturaunt. There was a large window beside them and a candle lit on the table.

Lonan pulled out Alexia's seat, seating her and pushing her chair back in before he took his own seat and leaned towards her at the table.
"Well... what do you think, Sweetheart?"

Alexia looked Lonan in the eye. Her face was carefully serious, "I understand, love. I'm sure if I were in your shoes then, I would have reacted the same way after losing the one you love." Mentally her mind kicked the living daylights out of her, It's best just to ask. I should wait for awhile to ask it of him. "I will not judge you because of your past actions, Lonan. I wasn't there to see, and if I do hear of it, I still will not judge you," Alexia smiled gently at him. "I promise, that I won't run away from you. I know I wouldn't bear it if I did."

Blushing like a child, Alexia shook her head and laughed. Lonan knew just how to keep her smiling. Her finger tips tingled with the feel of Lonan's lips against them and she blushed even deeper. Trying to make her face look like a pout Lexi said childishly, "Can I still death glare the women who think they can steal you?" Instantly, her face went from a pout to an innocent face that deserved a halo. "Please?" Laughing sweetly, Lexi agreed with Lonan about saving the carrying idea later. Silly love of mine, she thought.

Gripping her dress up a little to keep it from getting it too dirty, they arrived to a small resturant. Lonan, being the gentleman within, he opened the door and let her take lead for a moment . Alexia blushed once again. It was not rare that he would do that but it was their night alone and away from the tavern and it felt more romantic than she let anyone know. Small pressure was at her back and she looked up only to have her forehead kissed and she smiled fully and carefully at him.

A woman caught her attention and lead them to a table with a small view. She giggled softly, her bum hovered over the seat as Lonan pushed the chair till it kissed the back of her knees and she sat down gracefully. Her eyes kept to Lonan and the flame in front of her. She was tempted to catch it and play with the flame but resisted the urge.

With her hands in her lap like a proper lady, Alexia smiled at Lonan, letting her eyes show that she was loving this no matter what. "I like it. It's definately a nice place to have a romantic dinner. This place gives off the right mood. Do you feel it, love?"

Lonan smiled at her gently. "And it's because of your love and acceptance and your kind heart that I love you as much as I do." He confessed, taking her hand gently. "You're understanding makes it incredibly easy to talk to you and confess what I need to to make things work between us." He said, still smiling at her. "My past is what makes me the man I am today." He agreed.

Lonan gave a full-bellied laugh at her question.
"Well, I suppose you can... just don't make the other women cry, alright?" He asked with a grin in her direction. "I'm sure we'll make it more than obvious who it is we're both here with tonight." He murmured as he brushed a hand along her hair once more. Lonan doubted that anyone could be oblivious to the love and admiration he held for her.

Lonan watched her reactions with a careful eye, secretly wondering if he had done well enough with choosing the location for their dinner. She seemed to be enjoying it. He breathed a sigh of relief. His relief was only redoubled when she spoke up again. He couldn't help the smile plastered on his face.
"I feel it well enough." He said, watching her carefuly. A young woman from a table on the other side of the resturaunt got up and chose a blatant path past their table. Lonan was aware of her, as he was of all of his surroundings, but his eyes never wavered from Alexia.

The woman herself was actually dressed in clothing that would have once been considered quite fine, however, the edges of the clothing were ragged and rough, as if they had seen one too many days. Her hair was pinned up elegantly, but there was something malicious in the woman's eyes. Lonan could feel her stare boring into his back, but he never even glanced at her.

By the time the woman passed and left the resturaunt, Lonan was frowning. That woman hadn't felt right. Perhaps it was the levels of hostility directed at Alexia for some female bickering? He wasn't at all sure, but he decided to push the matter to the back of his mind. The fact was, she was gone, and now the resturaunt was relatively empty. Just Lonan and Alexia and one other couple sat at the tables.

Alexia laughed and could not help but smile. "I won't make the other women cry. I promise. Besides, my eyes will probably be on you for the whole night," she exclaimed as her eyes shown bright with happiness. Nothing but Lonan held her eyes and unless something felt odd or wrong, she would glance at the cause of the problem. But until then, she kept her focus on the man she loved whole heartedly.

Something caught the edge of her eye and she watched for a moment to see a woman get up from her seat. Jesus cries, Lexi. You are too paranoid. Enjoy your night with Lonan. This is your first night out with him after weeks of work. Alexia tried to relax her mind and keep to her man. Smiling softly at him, she asked with a small blush on her cheeks, "Is this all we'll be doing tonight, dearest?"

The woman from earlier passed behind Lonan and she tensed a little. Calm down, just calm it down. She is leaving, is all. A weird feel passed over to her and she glanced away from Lonan to find its source. The woman was staring at the both of them and she left her eyes fill with warning to the woman and gave her full attention back to the man in front of her.

Lonan shrugged a shoulder and tried to forget the uneasiness he had felt when the woman had passed. He could easily open up his mind to her and try to figure out what the woman was all about, but that would take a tremendous amount of concentration, and with Alexia sitting across from him, he doubted he could do it even if he wanted to. Instead, he smiled at Alexia.

"Well... I was thinking we could take our time strolling home and then spend the evening out back, under the stars. Nix says it's supposed to be a nice evening tonight, and as crazy as that little oracle is sometimes, I trust her in this." He said with a smile. "I have things set up outside. Some food for us is waiting." He said with a shrug. "But if you'd prefer to stay indoors, I'm fine with that as well." He offered.

He leaned across the table a little more and took one of her hands up.
"Is there anything that you had in mind?" He asked her, a smile spreading across his lips.

Alexia smiled lovingly towards the man in front of her and blushed a little. A very romantic dinner indeed. Moving her hands to the table, Lexi could feel that the place was nearly empty if it weren't for the whispers that were echoing in the dark. The woman from earlier had left. Good, one less thing to worry about. Still, it seems as if she were searching for something. One glance into her eyes, she seemed to be... hunting? For what though. Lexi shook her head. Worry some other time. This is time with Lonan, on a nice evening. Remember that.

"Hmm... Staying outside sounds lovely," Alexia smiled, "We could star-gaze, listen to the night." She could already see it happening. Both of them laying in the grass, looking into the sky, relaxing perhaps after a stroll. Talking gently of some plans, maybe for the future. Heat once again covered her cheeks. "We have been indoors many times. It's always nice to take some fresh air in when there is time."

Lexi let her love take her hand and smiled a little softer. How lucky am I? "What you have planned seems to have read my mind." Then something else popped into her head. No, I shouldn't. It would be to weird to ask him if they can read poetry to each other whilst in the others arms.

Lonan watched her blush as she spoke of their plans later on this evening. She was such a shy, beautiful creature, and he couldn't help but smile at her. He loved the way she looked when she blushed and couldn't help but want to pull her into his arms again.

At that moment, the waitress came back to the table and smiled at both of them.
"Good evening, Mr. Hunter. Shall I proceed with the preparations that you and Mr. Halton spoke of when you came in last week?" She asked him. Lonan smiled at the girl and then looked at Alexia, wiggling his eyebrows at her in mischeif.
"Yes, please." He said. The waitress nodded.
"Can I get you anything to drink while you wait then?"
"A glass of red wine and a glass of Le Boisson De Rouge." He said, smiling at the woman. She returned the smile, and strangely enough, this time, when she smiled, the woman showed a hint of fang.

He turned back to Alexia.
"I think you might be a little surprised by this place." He murmured, leaning in close to her. As Lonan spoke, another couple at a set of tables stood up and left the resturaunt, leaving Lonan and Alexia alone in the room. He smiled again and leaned across the table. Now that they were alone, he kissed her gently and then sat back in his seat, still smiling.

With my hands on my mind I hold wounds that won't mend...
You just keep trying to be something that you're not.
You'll never shake me, never break me, and never overtake me.
With my eyes open wide I can see it's the end...
Tangled in my imperfections.
On the way down.
Fade away...
