The Good My'thyrian
|
Senriyu looked through an aide's spyglass at the small village that held the warriors she was to bow to her Lady's will. She hadn't done this sort of thing in over a year, but the old rush she used to feel when commanding soldiers who knew she held their lives in her hands was enough to bring back her old, crueler temperament. The village looked peaceful enough. Time to ruin that. "Sub-Lieutenant. Tell the men to take some of the mounts and lure out whatever warriors are there with a raiding party. Incendiaries and nonlethals only; we want to capture them for Lady War, not kill them and rob her of more servants for her glorious conquest of Avalon. They are to ride into the village, cause mayhem for a minute or two, then fall back into the canyon. Post archers on the heights and conceal our heavy shields and lances on either side of the entrance. Set up an additional rockfall trap as well, just in case they get stupid." Senriyu ordered curtly, handing the spyglass back to the man, who grimaced, but bowed to the cherubic little My'thyrian's demands. He'd already seen what the small woman with an enormous bosom could do in battle, after he'd argued over command and lost two of his men to her fist and an ice lance. She grinned with bloodlust, a strangely attractive contrast being created between her looks and her mindset now... |

Dante frowned his personal scout for his group of men had reported back to him to tell him that there was a large group of warriors gathered. It didn't bother Dante in the least. The warriors had no idea what kind of trouble they were in for if they thought they could just trounce into their land and try to overtake their home. Dante had been sent off ahead of the rest of the warriors to take out anyone they could in advance. His men were some of the most trusted in the army assembled, and they were ruthless killers when they needed to be. Dante knew he could trust them with his life. They wore green and brown hued clothing, opting to blend in with their surroundings. Armor did them little good when they had the option of shifting shape into dragons that would do away with anyone who severely pissed them off. He smiled slowly at the thought. They were in for one hell of a surprise. He sliced his hand through the air in a sharp, abrupt manner, signalling his men to move out behind him. They crept along the ground, slithering along on their bellies, waiting for the oppertune moment until they would see someone worth dealing with descreetly. Dante didn't expect the other warrior to be prepared for the stealthy warriors headed in their direction. He was far too used to having the upper hand in the element of surprise to even anticipate the other warrior's anticipation of their arrival. Little did he know, they were being lured into a deadly trap. Dante squirmed up to a lone soldier who was searching the brush around him, but not bothering to search the ground beside and below him. Dante blended in well and he knew it. Quickly, he struck his hands out, grabbing the other man's ankles and lowering his body overtop the other man, clamping his hand down on the man's mouth as he grabbed the back of his head and reefed it around, emitting a sickening bone-cracking sound. The man didn't make another movement or sound. Dante signaled his men ahead further. |

Senriyu watch pensively as her soldiers rode off. Of course, it wasn't all of them, but still, she didn't like the sudden feeling of apprehension she was getting from that field separating the canyon's plateau from the village. Her scouts hadn't reported back, either. Very strange. Senriyu had feelings much like this back in her military days. Such feelings had always proved very wise to listen to, and Senriyu always had. That's what had gotten her to the rank she was before her service term had ended. "Kowalski. Tell the raiders to be wary of a trap. I don't like the feel of that plain all of a sudden. Where are my scout's reports?" her words were curt and brusque as the soldier snapped to attention and signaled using semaphore, the silent language of battle flags that Senriyu had deigned to teach her soldiers to give them a tactical edge. She knew of Avalonian battle tactics; she'd had to, being a servant of Kioku. She opened the briefly scrawled reports and frowned, then looked up at the plains, and her eyes widened, as if trying to 'see' the flow of enemy forces. "Shit! We've been outmanuevered! Tell the raiders to wheel about and use their incendiaries on the plains themselves; our scouts are being ambushed out there!" she yelled to Kowalski, her Sub-Lieutenant, as she placed her white robes over her shoulders, which previously had been draped on a mannequin at her request, much like generals and kings had their armor arranged on frames. "What makes you say that, Commander?" he asked, curious, but still issuing her order. He was competent enough to multi-task, it seemed. "Why didn't you notice it sooner, Kowalski, damn you?! These reports are far too few in number to account for all of the scouts we sent out. We're missing some. And no man has ever deserted under my command, I promise you that much. The only reason I can explain this discrepancy in the reports for is that the enemies' numbers are far greater than we'd been made aware of, and that they're already lying in wait for us. We aren't dealing with some simple tribal warriors here! This is something much more deadly than that. Kioku must have known about this....but why did she not inform me!? Dammit!" she raged, looking adorably cute as she pouted impotently. Kowalski didn't even crack a small grin. He knew better, by now. Bowing, he apologized using the phrase Senriyu had instructed him to use when he'd been incompetent. Fortunately for his dignity, it was in Old Atrean, so he didn't know the horribly embarrassing things he was saying about himself and his intelligence, not to mention the questionable sources of his parentage. |

Dante frowned and narrowed his eyes as things became eerily quiet on the battlefield. Dante's men had taken control and taken out several of the invader's scouts, and he was quite pleased of the outcome. It would prevent the opposing side from getting the information they needed once Dante's men began the slaughter. They couldn't risk shifting yet, for they'd be seen out in the open. Dante was still unsure as to how prepared the other side was. He had no knowledge as to whether or not they had projectile equipment. His men continued moving through on their bellies, snaking along the ground and completing their various tactical advances. He was pleased with the outcome, but something was still nagging him in the back of his mind. Things were too quiet. He could no longer hear the sound of the opposing advancing troops, and that set the hair on the back of his neck on edge. "Shit! They figured out we're out here." He cursed to himself. He held up a hand, staying his men in their positions. Just as he did and the realization that they were about to have the tables turned on them set in, fires errupted in the open fields. "Damnit!" He cursed. He had men that were far too close to the flames. "Up men! Get out of the line of fire. Form up and be on the ready!" He demanded of them. "If we get overwhelmed, shift. We're on our own now and they wont send another group of troops out into a blazing field. If things get too hairy, get your asses out of here." He said as his men raced towards him, keeping wary eyes on the fields around them. The fire and smoke blinded them, and he had no doubt that their enemy had their sights on the group now. This was bad. |

Senriyu grinned and laughed happily at the sight of the plains burning and the enemy soldiers running pell-mell across the field. Her riders were doing an admirable job of slaughtering them as they ran. She took Kowalski's spyglass once more and examined the field for signs of the commander. Already she was seeing signs of discipline and order beginning to break out. They were well trained, and with a capable commander, too. He was almost as good as her, to be sure. But she'd yet to see a commander that could match both her physical beauty and her military skills yet. Even the Goddess herself did not exceed Senriyu. Of course, this was her vanity speaking, but that wasn't the point. "Milady! Some o' the lads are bringin' back a pris'ner they captured out in the fields. He says he's kin to the enemy commander, and that he demands our surrender. Shall we execute him, or torture him and leave his remains hanging out for the crows where the bastards can see 'im?" a corporal announced informally, gesturing towards the mayhem of the rapidly escalating battle. Senriyu actually started jumping with small bouts of glee, things were going so well now for her. Naturally, her underlings tried their best to avoid staring too avidly at her heaving breasts. At least, they tried. The prisoner in question was youngish, but still older than Senriyu. Of course, that wasn't much; she was expected to live easily to over 50,000 before showing signs of old age, or even middle age. The man had been gagged, a blessing for the My'thyrian. She examined his frame studiously before taking a silver collar and placing it around the man's neck with finality. The captured soldier writhed in fear and panic as he realized what the strange device Senriyu had placed on him had done. It had severed him from any source of superhuman ability. That included even such things as strength and agility, though how he'd been captured if he'd held such powers would be a logical fallacy. "Send a missive to the enemy commander. Tell him we have a prisoner, and we will execute him, as well as every one of his precious soldiers, men, women, and children, if he does not surrender." she said thoughtfully. Kowalski looked at her questioningly. "Milady? How do you propose to do that?" Senriyu grinned madly at him, the darkness inherent in this other personality obvious and showing through her inescapable cuteness. "How? Why, with siege, my dear. Lots and lots of heavy siege weapons." Kowalski grinned. Now this was the kind of war he'd been promised by his true Mistress. |

Dante was in the process of reoganizing his men and giving out orders that would see to their safety when one of his men audiably cursed and pointed through the rising smoke and flames. "Ryder! Isn't that Cayne they're dragging away?" He asked incredulously. Dante's head immediately spun in the direction the man pointed, and sure enough, there was his idiot of a younger brother, being dragged away from the rest of them. Dante cursed, knowing that he had already lost good men in battle, and knowing quite well that it would drive him mad if something happened to his younger brother. His brother disappeared behind smoke and flames with his captor and Dante's fury grew. His only brother, captured. Dante's chest heaved and his mind was working overtime. He glanced up a moment to see an approaching figure. Immediately, his men fell into battle stances, but Dante held his hand up in the air to stay them. They remained poised for attack, but held themselves in check. The approaching man kept himself at a distance, and spoke up above the crackling of flame and the sound of slaughter around them. "Our commander has one of your men in custody, and if he's to be believed, he claims to be a relative of yours. Our commander demands your surrender or our prisoner, your men, children and women will all be slaughtered where they stand." The man said, taking a few more, incredibly cocky and stupid steps towards Dante. Dante's nostrils flared and he leveled cold, green eyes on the messenger. Screw battle propriety, this poor bastard had screwed with the wrong man. Dante gave no warning but quickly drew his blade, Dagdaove and in a sweeping motion, lobbed the messenger's head clean off his shoulders. He turned back to one of his men as the head rolled off the man's body and hit the ground before the rest of the body toppled over after it. His eyes blazed cold fury. "Taren, shift and fly over the first set of enemy troops you find. Don't get too close to their command post. They might have projectile weaponry." He pointed towards the head. "Drop this in on them. It'll make its way to their commander, and I think it'll be a message loud and clear as to what I think of their idea of surrender." He said in a snarl. "The rest of you will retreat. I'm going to get Cayne out of there myself. He's my responsibility." He said with a frown as Taren shifted into a azure dragon before him, clutching the lobbed off head in one talon, and the body of the messenger in another, the soldier flew up and over the battlefield, searching for the first available enemy troops. |

Senriyu watched in interest as a dragon appeared on the field and began flying towards them, carrying something in its claws. It appeared to be a body. How sad. They'd refused her offer. "Kowalski. Thank the Goddess she gave us Dragonbane weapons just in case. The siege crossbow's range is perfect for that thing. Prepare to open fire on my command!" she ordered curtly, eager to test out her new weapons. They were massive constructs, about eight feet high and twenty feet wide, holding massive bolts made to pierce armor, hide, flesh, and stone equally. "Ready and awaiting your command, Mistress." the grenadier said, saluting her expectantly. Holding out a hand in a heroic pose, she cried "Range! 400! Angle! 37! Ready....HIT. THAT. SHIT!" The bolts flew, piercing the azure dragon and sending him down to earth with a scream. The men let out a victorious cheer as Kowalski started barking orders for the main force to line up and prepare to advance, with the archers not held in reserve for the ambush to come with negotiations providing cover fire. Grabbing Kowalski aside in the rush of men arming themselves and preparing to slaughter one another, Senriyu whispered in his ear. "The enemy must not know of our movements. Begin a full assault of the field indiscriminately; I want as many of them dead as possible." Kowalski grinned. "Yes, Milady Senriyu. What shall we do with the prisoner?" Senriyu grinned back, a wolfish smile that spoke of horrors too excruciating to go into any detail about. "Leave the runt to me and my interrogators. He'll be squealing like a stuck pig in no time, and then we'll have all the information we need in order to enslave these warriors in the name of our illustrious Goddess, Mistress Kioku. If necessary, I shall wait until the full moon tonight to perform a summoning. Do you have all of the spell components ready?" Kowalski nodded grimly, a little disturbed that Senriyu would be as audacious as to dare to bring a Goddess to them. Senriyu released him and sent him away with a wave. There were...enhanced interrogation techniques...to be performed on that boy.... |

Dante turned towards another one of his men. "When you get back to the keep, make sure you inform Lord Talonos of what's going on here. We can't have these people make it to the keep walls they dan-" His words were cut off by the faintest whistling sound of a projectile flying through the air. Projectiles like that weren't wasted unless the users of the weapons were damned sure they could hit their target. Dante closed his eyes, a pained expression coming across his features as he waited for the sure sound of Taren shrieking in his pain. He felt nautious suddenly and had to grit his teeth. His fury broke loose. "Go! Don't shift unless you're on top of them!" He pointed to the man he had been ordering towards the Keep. "You. Dont. Shift. At. All." He said through gritted teeth. "Your prime missive is stealth. Get back to our people in one piece. If one of you sees him fall, take up his mission. Don't assume the damned message has gotten through." He said before he turned back towards the chaos. He trusted his men to get the job done. Dante immediately focused himself and centered himself, looking to the earth and sky for his guidance. Immediately, he dropped to his belly and began making his way through the grasses, trusting in the fact that the magics imbued into his weapon would guide him on the right path and keep him hidden. It had never failed him before, and he trusted it implicitly now. He snaked his way low along the ground, avoiding the enemy troops as best he could. He would get as close to the command area as he could, figure out what the hell was going on, and then attack from there. Even if he died defending his younger brother, he'd go down with honor and have a glimmer of hope that the younger man would make it away. He kept himself centered and focused as he approached the camp. ((OOC: For the record, Dante is making use of his "move through plants" ability on his weapon.)) Senriyu wiped her brow and stepped out of the sound-insulated tent that her interrogators were "interviewing" the young soldier in. Boy, torture really was a tiring business. Walking slowly, she took a wineskin from the mess tent and lay down under the shade of a comfortably large palm tree, an odd sight in an otherwise rocky terrain, but it was the climate for them, so Senriyu didn't care about the bizarreness in the Avalonian environment. Then the head of a man popped out of the tree, seemingly a part of it, but not. It was highly unusual, but Senriyu had seen strange things so many times in Avalon, she'd become desensitized to it. "Why, hello there Mister Tree Soldier person! What'cha doin' in there? In case you hadn't noticed, good sir, this place is kinda in the middle of a war. I suggest you hide somewhere very far away, before the guardsmen find you." she said pleasantly, her normal mood returning with the relaxation of anticipating a good nap, as well as some excellent wine, chosen personally by her hands for superior quality. |

Dante knew he was where he needed to be. He watched as the woman walked out from the tent in which Dante had no doubt that his brother was being held in. He was on the verge of loosing all control and he damned well knew it. His concentration was fleeing with such rapidity that he had lost control of his hold on becoming one with the plants. His mind was drifting more towards bloodlust. Even worse, the woman had the gall to act as if nothing of consequence was happening here. It didn't matter, she was a part of the enemy encampment. She was with them, and she was guilty. She would die. Dante was aware of two things, the sudden shifts in his body, and the fact that a series of soldiers had spotted him and were taking up arms on their way towards him. Good. Let them. With one swift motion, Dante let the rest of his shift take over. First, a huge set of green and black webbed wings sprouted up from his back. The wings wrapped around Dante's body, acting as both a shield and a cover for the transformation to be completed. Beneath the cover of his wings, he let the rest of the shift take place. He peeled his wings back and reared up on his hind legs, belting out a feral roar before slamming his front legs back on the ground, knocking over a few of the soldiers who had made their way over to him. In place of the man was a large, green and black dragon, furious and breathing puffs of smoke from his nostrils. In the soldiers moment of stunned awe, Dante lashed out with his tail, flicking three men off into the brush a little way off. His jaws snapped at weapons and men alike who came to close to the raging beast. "I think it's you who had better run, little girl." Came a gutteral growl of a voice from the jowls of the beast. In his momentary distraction, one of the men charged at him with a mace. The weapon bounced off the tough scales on Dante's back, and the dragon's green eyes narrowed on the man with feral intensity. In one movement, he flicked the man off to the side with his tail. When he moved to twist in the man's direction, another man caught him on the softer scaled flesh of his belly. He let out a yowl before crushing the man beneath one of his clawed legs. It was clear that Dante was hellbent on causing destruction and it would take a force and a half to stop the dragon in its rage. |

Senriyu stared in wonder at the man's transformation into a dragon. That was something she hadn't been desensitized to yet. She ran quickly, guessing that brute force wouldn't be enough to take down a dragon. "ARCHERS ON THE CLIFFS! OPEN FIRE! GRENADIERS, GET TWO OF THOSE SIEGE WEAPONS TURNED AROUND AND AIMED AT THAT DRAGON!" she yelled orders while making a tremendous leap onto the back of the dragon, grabbing one of its horns and yanking with prodigious strength to pull his head back, creating a spear of ice in her other hand and holding it in front of the dragon's eye with rock steadiness. The camp around her was in an uproar, naturally, but they received her orders and obeyed them, though the archers were a tad reluctant to continue fire with Senriyu right there, as well as seeing the uselessness of their arrows. "Okay, Dragon Man, cool it! I've got two siege crossbows out of many more aimed at you right now and, all of them are equipped with Dragonsbane bolts. Furthermore, I bet you saw where we're keeping that prisoner. Keep on your little rampage, and this spear flies faster than you can block it and kills the brat in one move. Don't doubt I can't do it. I've fought harder enemies than you at the Tower of Ignasia, and they out manned and out gunned us ten to one." her words were surprisingly cold for such a childlike, musical voice, though it appeared that she didn't notice the fact that she had mentioned a battle that had never occurred within the dimension that contained Avalon. She let go of the dragon's head roughly, taking the opportunity to slip a spare golden collar, the more powerful version of the one she'd placed on the other prisoner, around the dragon's neck, grinning widely as she saw the armored scales underneath the enchanted metal ripple and begin to transform into human skin as the item's effect spread. Once it was almost complete, she snapped it around the man's, formerly a dragon's, neck, before he could react, and kicked him down to the ground swiftly, holding the spear point of her weapon to his eye. "You'll do well as another prisoner of war. Now all I need is a route to the commander, and I can end this battle in one decisive move. By your fighting skill...you look more important than the other one. Perhaps I should send him back to the enemy commander in several small boxes, hrm?" she gloated cruelly as her military training guided her speech, and the dark memories she held from her time as a slave herself fueling her dark rage against all those who claimed arrogantly to be truly 'free'. |

Well... that was something that Dante hadn't expected. The small woman lept atop his back and reefed on the horns atop his head. It didn't do much except make it impossible to see what he was doing. It really didn't hurt him in the least, but it annoyed the living hell out of him. He let out another one of his guttural growls that was cut short when he felt something slap against his neck. Almost instantly, a forced change took over. It was a moment of discovery, because up until that point, he hadn't realized that a forced change would hurt like a bitch. It was an unnatural shift, and a dragon of his kind's shifting was all about the natural balance and order. The metal that touched Dante was not natural. It did unnatural things. He yowled in agony and almost instantly, his body began sporadic spazms. Within a few short moments, Dante was on the ground, the woman on his back and he was naked in human form. His body still continued its harsh convulsions through the after effects of the pain of the shift, and he could do little more than lie waiting as the woman snapped the collar around his neck. He listened as she spoke horrors about chopping his brother up into little pieces. No doubt his brother was already broken and bloody. Slowly, he was regaining control of his own body. His hands clawed at the earth beneath him and he managed to turn his head up from the ground to yell at the woman. "Let me see him! Damn you! Let me see Cayne!" He growled, beginning to thrash and fight beneath her. Pain be damned, he was his brother and he would do anything he could to see him safe. "What the hell do you want from us? I'll comply with whatever you want, just let him the hell go." He growled. He had a way of making it sound like he was demanding it, rather than pleading it. "You Gods be damned bitch, if I ever get free of this thing I'll make you mourn the day you were born!" |

Senriyu blinked. She wasn't aware that the man knew the captive personally. She shook her head, clearing her mind of her savage thoughts. "Oh. Of course. You are entitled to some rights as a prisoner of war, after all. My apologies. You men! Get this fellow some proper clothes! In the meantime, here, use this. Sorry about earlier; I don't normally act that way, but Lady Kioku has been driving us all harder than normal to fit her schedule." Senriyu apologized, squeaking slightly when she noticed the transformed dragon was now a naked man, though that didn't stop her from discreetly examining his entire body while helping him to his feet. Continuing to speak, she wrapped her white robes around him and led him to the interrogation tent. The inside of the tent was hardly up to expectations. They were simply holding a badger in a cage on a table and feeding it occasionally while trying to get information out of the man her newest prisoner called 'Cayne'. Senriyu smacked a palm to her forehead and averted her eyes in embarrassment. She hadn't trained them properly at all, it seemed. They saluted and ran out of the tent, carrying the badger with them, (though where they'd gotten it Senriyu hadn't the faintest idea) as soon as she and Dante entered. "As you can see, he is relatively unharmed. Now, about your terms of surrender. We shall release him, and cease our assault on your people, provided you serve my Mistress, the Goddess of War, Lady Kioku, and by extension, you shall serve me, Senriyu Hayate, as my vassal. If you attempt to escape, to break your vow of servitude, or even displease me in any way, shape, or form...I will not hesitate to have each and every one of your people lined up like cattle and driven to the slaughter. Dragon's blood can be used in war most effectively, and without a dragon. I already have you in my grasp. All you need to do is announce your surrender to your troops, and I shall release your brother to your people unharmed." She giggled and hugged him around the shoulders, hanging off of him quite nicely. "Please, you must understand, I wouldn't have resorted to these sorts of things if you hadn't started it. All we wanted was to win your allegiance. Now you made us enslave your entire nation. That's considerably more difficult, just so you know. So, what's the name of my newest slave, huuh? Golly, you're a big one, aren't you? Hee hee, you're almost as tall as Andumi. But not quite. Andumi is the deadliest man you'll ever meet before you die, so if you're real bad, I might have to send you to him for a while." Senriyu burbled happily and with a childlike glee at the promise of a sure victory. |

Dante growled from beneath the woman as he got up and had clothing thrown on him. He knew when he was beat and knew there was no point in lashing out at the woman, for there were dozens of weapons trained directly on him. His eyes blazed in their emerald fury. He was more than ready to do murder at that point, but his body was weak from the forced transformation. He did his best to bite back his rage and carry himself tall, but his chest heaved from the exhertion of it. Damn the woman to the very pits of death. "Kioku's cause and I are long time acquaintances, but as far as I'm concerned right now-" He trailed off into a long list of curses in draconic, cursing the Goddess and her very existance with a depth of emotion and loathing that would have impressed even the most solid of men. As he was kindly escorted into the tent, Dante's eyes immediately fell on the badger. He flintched as if he were ready to bound into action again and take on the guards for their off-handed treatment and implications as to how they were going to deal with his brother. He held himself in check barely. His brother looked at him in the eyes and knew that he had failed his brother immensely. Dante had to clamp his teeth together to keep from screaming out, lashing out and doing his damnedest to kill everyone and everything in sight. He eyed her dangerously as she spouted off her terms of surrender. Dante wanted to laugh. In return for releasing his brother and letting the rest of his men go, he had to become her slave? He could easily pretend to go along with the whole deal with the Goddess of War and continue his slaughter, though never really being of heart and mind to serve her, but to be this woman's slave? Dante growled at her and then looked back at his brother who looked completely and utterly defeated. He flintched when she hung off of him, wanting nothing more than to smack her aside, but again, he knew when he was outnumbered. If the damned woman touched him again, she might not be so lucky though. Dante's nostrils flared. It was him, or the lives of hundreds. He gave one last threatening look at his brother and then turned towards the woman again. It seemed as if his brother knew exactly what he intended to say. "Damnit Dante! Don't do it! It's not like she can kill them all, for crying out loud I can't just watch you-" Dante silenced his brother with a single, upheld hand. He didn't need any more than that to call his men to attention. He turned his threatening gaze on his brother. "I watched you taken and dragged away, so don't you dare tell me what you can't stand to watch. You will go home. You will tell mother that her son fell to a good cause. Tell her I'm dead if you have to Cayne, but don't tell her that her eldest son was... enslaved." He almost choked on the word. "Dante, I can't tell-" "You bloody well can and you damned well will." He commanded. "You're a soldier Cayne, who has worked and lived under my command for almost 80 years. You will take this last order from me and you will honor it. Am I in any way unclear, soldier?" Dante's brother shrank back in on himself and then nodded. "Yes sir." He mumbled misserably. Dante turned back towards the woman. He was still enraged over what he was about to do, but it was either that, or stand back and watch as countless people were slaughtered. Slaughtered because of him. "Then I accept your terms of surrender, but dont think for one Gods be damned moment that I'll be willing or compliant all the time." He said, looking down at her. He tugged at the collar on his neck. He had a good feeling that the cold metal and him were going to become very good acquaintances over the next little while. |

The Good My'thyrian

Senriyu's smile lessened slowly, and she returned to a mood of serene grace, sliding off of Dante and wordlessly freeing Cayne. Escorting him out of the tent, she gave silent orders to have him watched, but not harmed, as he left the encampment. "All units, withdraw. We have their commander's allegiance. He is my slave, though ill tempered. You will all stay here after the surrender has been announced by our new messenger and help these people rebuild. You will also be gaging their strengths and weaknesses, as well as their readiness to battle for our Mistress. I will be leaving for....other duties the Goddess calls me on. Before you get too comfortable, make sure you have them disarm fully. That means no weapons, no armor, and no shifting unless in an emergency. That is all." her words carried far across the camp, to the somewhat mixed cheers of her troops. A commander being missing meant more time to goof off, but reconstruction meant they'd have to win the hearts and minds of the people they'd just conquered. Never an easy task. "Dante. Come. We are leaving, now. If you slow my progress, I will use that collar to inflict a great deal of pain upon you. It has that power, as well as allowing me to be aware of your basic emotions and your location. At all times." Senriyu said curtly, making a gesture as if yanking on an invisible chain for Dante to follow her like a dog. She almost wished he wouldn't die if she made him shift, just to be able to say she could command a dragon like a common horse. Then again, there were always other uses for stallions when a mare was broody.... She giggled to herself at the dark thoughts she was brewing. Her genetic coding commanded her to breed, though she herself wasn't exactly enthusiastic about it, and the stronger the mate, the stronger the children would be, thereby limiting her need to reproduce again. She sighed, this time, as she glided along, looking back only once to make sure that Dante had received the clothing she'd commanded be brought to him earlier before turning, her silver hair hanging down near her ankles and swinging softly in six different braids. |
