Let's not make an ass out of 'u' and 'me'.
Stables; Dragons and Wyverns.

Yes, I can't let it go, it just bugs me down to my very loathsome and black core!

First off let's start with the Baby Wyvern ('ere we go!). $450? Honestly? Come on? IT CAN'T FLY! IT HAS NO POWERS! IT CAN JUMP AT PEOPLE AND POKE THEM IN THE EYE! Hilarious? Yes. Worth it? Short answer: no. Long answer: noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo*gasp*oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. The damn thing costs more than a polar bear. Something that could eat it whole. That $450 could be used to buy a polar bear nearly twice over. Come on. A baby wyvern isn't worth that much. And it stays a baby, it doesn't grow up, so it's not like your saving money and playing a waiting game.

Second off is the regular wyvern. Again, overpriced for what it is. It is $50 less than a dragon. It can be ridden by a person and is apparently as smart as a human being. (Big accomplishment there... >_>) For $50 more I can get a full on huge ass dragon, with spiky tails and claws and teeth and FIRE BREATH AND FLYING AND INFINITELY BETTER THAN THE WYVERN IN SO MANY WAYS.

Thirdly is the Greater Wyvern. Why $200 more than a Dragon? It has no major abilities despite being pretty big, but even then, classically speaking, dragons could easily be bigger. So what? Does it have a poison tail at this age now? That's still not much of an advantage.

----

What I'm asking is for that portion of the stables to be, for once, since the many months I've bitched about it sporadically, for something to finally be done. The price disparity is ridiculous. Bad enough people can't be trusted to have things, but we don't need to bend people over and take them around town while we're at it...

Suggestions:
Baby Wyvern; significant drop down. I'm thinking along the lines of about $100-$200. It's going to be what size? A cat? A dog? (Actually, how small do people think they are?) If it's something that can ride around on your shoulder without being a burden it should be in the lower end. Again, it can't fly. It can poke people in the eye. Not exactly special.
Wyvern; another drop down. It can bare a rider and is intelligent, apparently. But it's got a tail to whip people with and teeth and claws. But it's still too expensive. I'd like to say $500.
Greater Wyvern; I honestly don't know, but it seems less powerful than a dragon.
Dragon; again I don't know.

----

This has bugged me a lot. I've made complaints about it a lot because it's just annoying. And I fully expect nothing to be done. Again.

Woot.

I thought if you wanted your Wyvern to grow up you just had to PM a staff member and ask if it is okay...? i.e. that you have had it long enough for it to grow.

Not that I know of. I asked LJ about that roughly around the first time I started questioning what the hell was up with the prices when I was looking towards getting a baby wyvern at the time. (I didn't actually want it for growing up anyway, but that's besides the point.) He said babies stay babies. (If I remember correctly.)

Using carcasses as stepping stones.
I think they used to 'grow', a long time ago. But there was no real system to it. So the idea probably got axed. I think no one really bothers with the wyverns because ... well no one really cares. xD Dragons are 'cooler'.

I don't really care personally. But I see no problem with editing the prices and can even put up some more clarified descriptions of the beasties.

I really could care less seeing as how I've read them. Delete the topic then, almighty, if it's too big of a deal I forget to always have to copy/paste a sentence.
