There had been rumors of some interesting plants in the area that Mag just had to get a look at for her collection of herb's and plant life in Avalon. Her little journal was turning into quite the book of collected information thus far and plant species in Avalon and some birds and other animals. She tread lightly on the ground making sure to remain on the solid ground so not slip into a bog. Fog rolled across the moss covered ground as a pool of water bubbled. Her red cloak stood out in the grey and dreary surroundings, her hood covered her dark curls, her porcelain skin stood out against her crimson robs. under her cloak she had chosen to be smart by wearing a black dress knowing she would at least get some mud on it. This way it was harder to notice. Black leather gloves covered her thin fingers to prevent them from getting cold in the chilly morning about the marsh. Strange sounds howled and cried out in the distance making her a little jumpy but the thought of having Akire along gave her a sense of safety. Kneeling down her red cloak rippled behind her for a moment before resting in the soft moss. Her covered fingers lightly brushed a fern near a fallen dead tree as her blue eyes flashed up at Akire. A little smile crossed her face as she spoke, "Look Akire, under the fern, just what I was looking for. Venus Fly Trap...the carnivores plant. Isn't it so strange? They say in some parts of Avalon they get big enough to be man eaters. But weather that is a fairy tale or fact is undetermined...so I plan on figuring that out for myself." Her finger inched closer tot he mouth of the plant tickling its mouth lightly with her finger. Quickly the sharp teeth of the plant snapped down grazing her finger lightly and clipping the leather on her glove. She pulled away quickly glancing over the leave. "Thank god no red...if it had red stripped leaves it is toxic." Pulling off her leather glove with her teeth she gazed down at a small ruby river running down the side of her finger and winced in pain as she put it in her mouth to get the blood off and the wound cleaned. "Ouch, that little bugger really surprised me. Best if I pay attention to where I put my finger. Well I would pick the plant like a flower but I would feel bad. Since it eats bugs its almost like an animal and I would feel as if I was killing it. Maybe I will just sketch it instead." Pulling out her charcoal and paper from her small bag she set it down and started sketching the strange jagged toothed plant. Almost off in her own little world she started humming to herself with a small smile etched across her face. Fog rolled in around her as the pool of water produced a loud splash that startled her and took her attention off the plant. Pulling her hood down her curls fell down her back bouncing lightly. Turning her head ever so slowly on of the ebony spirals caught to a crippled branch pulling it back as her blue eyes wandered to the waters surface. She was filled with worry as they watched the surface of the water. Seeing the water ripple as something swam by she jumped up and hide behind Akire. Panting lightly she whimpered, "Perhaps it is not wise to sit so close tot he waters edge. You don't think Merpeopel live in marshes do you...or...bogmen?" |

Akire followed close behind Mag as she examined the plant in front of her. He was curious about her work and was interested in her documentation of it all. After all, he had been the one to push her to do it, really. He watched as she bent down and nearly had her finger taken off by the thing. It surprised Akire a fair amount that she knew so much of the plants already, but again, he smiled. Mag was always full of surprises. When she pulled her hand away and held it to her lips to suck at the blood that had formed, he clicked his tongue at her and then gently pulled her hand away from her lips, inspecting the small wound with the critical eyes of a man who cared and knew how to take care of a wound fairly easily. Finally, satisfied that it wasn't too much of a concern, he let her hand go reluctantly and then nodded towards the plant. "I'd say sketching it is likely the better idea. Try not to get too close to it Mag, I dont want you loosing a finger." He said in a teasing tone. As much as he enjoyed Mag's company, he was growing tired of sitting around and waiting for her to sketch the plant in detail. He was beginning to get lost in thought when she spoke up again. He smiled at the childish tale she must have heard to get the impression that hte merfolk would be after her. He shook his head. "I dont think you have much to worry about from them." He murmured absently. He stretches his arms up over his head and let out a yawn before straightening up again and turning back towards Mag. "I'm going to shift and scout out the area a little more, see if I can find anything of interest around here for you to examine. If you need me, give me a yell, alright?" He asked, waiting for his answer before turning away and letting the shift take over him. The white glow of the energy flowing through his body tingled through him like a warming and soothing sensation. Soon enough, a white snow leopard sat on its haunches in place of Akire. He gave one last look over at Mag, nodding his big, feline head, before he turned around and padded off into the surrounding forest. |

She just smiled at him when he looked her wound over and joked, "Do you think I'll live or am I a goner Dr. Hunter?" The more she got to know Akire the more of her humor seemed to shine through that shy barrier around her. It seemed the longer she was with him the more she became herself. Not afraid to be the person she was, share it with the world...or at least Akire since she was still suspicious of the rest of the world. She liked that he cared about her as much as her mother had. He looked over every scratch she got just to make sure. It was nice to have someone who cared about you that much. Mag laughed at his comment and replied playfully, "At least we know now they can be man eaters...or Mag eaters." He reassured her that the merfolk should not be a problem. Of course, they lived in the ocean, silly her. However there were other things that lurked in marshes, she had the whole encyclopedia of things that can eat you in her head. When he said he would take off to scout she felt a small icy sensation run down her spine and looked over at him kneeling back down. "Alright, don't go too far...you can sniff your way through this fog...I can't. If I need you I'll call...if I really need you...well you know my screams can carry." She had hopped her words did not worry him but it was true, her lungs could support her high up in the atmosphere and therefore were very strong, strong enough to let her scream travel for miles. Perhaps the same reason she had such a powerful voice when singing. Watching in amazement she gazed at Akire with wonder as he shifted. It never got old watching him turn into that big noble beast. Her eyes were wide with amazement as she watched his white form moved through the marsh, his ivory pelt glittering in the little light that made its way through. Once he faded away into the fog she went back to sketching her carnivorous plant and humming her little tune. Behind her the splash made her jump again only this time it bothered her a little more because it had gotten closer. Her head turned to the water again as she continued to hum only in a more hushed volume. A giggle was barley audible from the water...not a normal giggle but a almost childish one. Looking back to where Akire had moved off too she let her face take on a worried and fearful expression as she whimpered quietly, "Akire?" No this was ridicules, she could handle herself just fine. Setting her paper down she crawled closer to the water looking down at her reflection in its glossy surface. 'Do not go into the marsh alone...there are ghost in the water that will pull you under and drown you, or ghouls who will eat you.' those words made her keep a fair distance from the waters and she prayed nothing would jump up and drag her under. Keeping an eye at the surface she saw something silver dart by under the waters surface. looking closely she watched a small silver fish dart about but it was not an ordinary fish...it was a fairy. Mag looked down at it getting closer to the water now as she smiled and spoke with excitement, "Hello there." Looking over her shoulder she went to call out for Akire but figured she didn't want to frighten it away. Looking back down at the silver creature in the water she noticed it beat the large fin like wings and rise out of the water with its large round eyes fixed on her. Nimble fingers pulled at one of her dark curls making Mag jump and cry out, "Ouch that hurt." The little fairy pulled back its hand stretching out its webbed fingers over its face and turning away. Mag felt a little sorry for it and put out her hand speaking calmly, "Sorry, your just curious. I understand. Come on i won't hurt you...I am Mag...what's your name? Oh I suppose you don't speak do you, I hope your a good fairy, don't cause me any trouble. Hmmm...I'll call you silver." The little fairy fluttered closer to Mags hand touching one of her fingers and then backing up. Looking down at the water Mag whimpered at the sound of an odd growling, "What’s that?" she asked moving back towards her plant. the fairy looked down at the water and reached a hand out to Mag as she fluttered to the edge unable to go any further. Making a strange screech the fairy rose above the water further as a fin protruded from the surface. "Silver." Mag cried jumping forward and snatching the little creature up in her hand. She sat back down by the plant panting a little and looking at the water, "I wish Akire would come back." Silver said nothing but hid herself behind one of Mag's curls and watching the water with her. |

Akire padded through the forest, feeling at ease and one with his surroundings. In this form, he belonged in natures embrace. It was the one form he could take where his mind eased and he was free to think clearly and calmly without fear of letting something of his feelings or thoughts filter through in his expressions. He let his blue eyes scan his surroundings, curious of what the lush greenery around him held and wondering what secrets of the plants and wildlife around him that Mag knew. She was always a breath of fresh air. It was funny, he knowledge of plantlife seemed to exceed even his brothers, who had taken pride in the fact that he spent so much time in nature's embrace. Akire was only just beginning to see the merits and good qualities in nature and embracing the natural animal within him. He had shied away from it for so long after Lonan had left. He had aspired so much to be as unlike his brother as he possibly could. In the end, Akire realized that aspiring to be something that he wasn't was something that made him completely and utterly misserable. The only person who had made him see that had been Mag. He admired her strength and courage. She wished she could be more like her angelic half, while he had wish, for so long, that he could be a normal human. He let out a long, catty mewl and padded on a little further. Suddenly, he turned his head into the wind and caught a peculiar scent on the wind. The scent of fear. Akire turned his face towards the wind once more, but as soon as he did, the scent was gone again. He frowned in a way that only a feline could and quietly he began padding his way back towards Mag. The sensation of it all wasn't urgent, but it was enough to make him think that maybe he had gone far enough and needed to think about returning to her side. He had only taken a few steps further, when the scent smacked him in the nose anew. A sense of urgency took him over, and in a matter of moments he was bounding back through the forested area, heading straight for Mag's scent. Though the fog dimmed his senses a little and gave her own scent a peculiar must smell, he couldn't mistake it at all. He skidded back into the clearing in Snow Leopard form once again, taking note of the fact that Mag clutched something to her chest while she focused her attention on the water. He guessed that whatever was causing her such distress was coming from that general area. He settled into a predatorial stance and then gave Mag a reassuring nod before turning his attention back to the water and taking a few steps forward, using a stalking step that made him look as if he were a great predator, sitting back on his haunches and waiting to pounce his prey. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and he lowered his head, letting out a fierce feline growl, hoping to send whatever was in the water skittering off in the other direction for the time being. Without giving whatever was in the water much more thought, he let the shift take over him again, desperate to make sure that Mag wasn't hurt in his lax watch. His shift was so quick that there was only a bright flash of light that lingered even as he moved towards her side. He dropped to his knees and knealt down beside her, looking her straight in the eye with a concern of his own. He visibly searched her from head to toe. "Are you alright?" He asked, his brows furrowing in concern. It was in that moment that he realized that he had made a mistake in his urgency. Akire took a moment to look down, and realized that when he had shifted in his haste, he had forgotten to make the shift with his clothing still on his human form. He cursed, but didn't bother with it. For the time being, he was more concerned about Mag and her condition. His nudity could wait and he didn't see an overly large problem with it. His people were notorious for trouncing around naked, as some of them never achieved a level of shifting mastery that involved the materialization of their clothing in the process. For Akire, nudity was a fact of life. |

Mag was happy to see Akire again as he came back and growled down at the water. Silver seemed less afraid as well now, but she didn't appear to be happy seeing the large cat. In fact Mag knew some fairies feared cats because cats...ate them. Mag hoped Akire would not eat her, the two were getting on quite nicely. The little silver haired sprite darted out from behind Mags curls as he shifted into a human form and Mag snickered at her, "It's alright he's my friend." Once his shift had finished however Mag lost all thought concentration and words for that matter. She went stiff and ridged for a moment, utterly confused and unable to move as he looked her over. Her eyes were wide and filled with confusion. She didn't know what to make of the situation, she had never actually...seen a man naked before, not even Tal. This was her first time and in fact...it looked nothing like her body, not in the least. Silver covered her eyes with her hands and slowly let her fin link wings carry her down onto Mags lap where she crossed her legs and made quiet cooing sounds. Once she heard the fairy's reaction to him she decided to conclude to her own reaction and took in a deep shaky breath as she kept her eyes transfixed on the marsh just beyond him. Opening her mouth she tried to say something, that was obvious from the way she panted a few times moving her lips and yet the words refused to come out. She had too many thoughts and emotions weighing her down at the moment that she could not pick a single one. Part of found this rather amusing but the larger half of her was becoming rather bashful and had no idea how to handle the situation. She decided on better judgment not to listen to her natural instinct on this one. Quietly she whimpered out in her confusion, "Interesting?" With that her eyes fluttered a little as they rolled back and she fainted falling to the ground. The soft moss prevented her from getting scratched but the carnivorous plant behind her did a good job at attempting to feast on one of her curls as it's mouth closed upon it. Her hands rested just above her head as she remained still and silent. The fairy on her lap sprang up not so bashful to Akire's state being that she was not much for clothing either and walked up onto Mag's chest looking down at her face. Her wings twitched lightly as she poked her and then tugged on a curl. Looking back to Akire she shook her fist screeching and squeaking before fluttering up and moving to the water and pointing at its surface. She felt her message might have gotten across but she was not certain so she splashed a little of the water at him. Fluttering back to Mag she fanned her wings by her face hoping some fresh air would wake her up. When she didn't the little fairy moved over to the plant and tugged on Mag's trapped curl trying to pull it free but it seemed the plant was stronger then her...or at least its jaws. Dropping the curl she decided she could just life Mag up and walked over to her shoulder pushing up on it and getting no where yet again. Mag still just laid there motionless, her red cloak spread out around her adding its crimson shade to the bleak marsh around them. Her eyes fluttered a little but not in a way that showed hope of her waking up. Edited by Mag, Jul 4 2009, 10:45 PM.

Akire watched the little silver haired sprite with a little curiousity. He was more interested in finding out whether said sprite was going to harm Mag than anything she might be trying to tell him. Still, he got the implication she made. He took a moment to shift back into a snow leopard, and then shift back into a human again, this time, complete with his normal pair of black leather pants. He looked down at the sprite and gave her a lopsided grin. He couldn't help but joke about the situation, maybe it would make him feel like a little less of an ass. "At least someone here knows what it's like to want to be without the constriction of clothes." He murmured to the little creature with a half smile. Nope. He still felt like an ass. He swatted the plant that tried to munch on one of Mag's curls and scolded it for trying to take advantage of the situation. The plant reacted instead by lashing out at Akire's waving finger. Luckily, Akire was fast enough to avoid the plant. Instead, he reached up and tucked Mag's hair in closer to her so that she didn't accidentally loose any of it while she was out for the count. He was sure that she wouldn't have appreciated that too much. Akire cursed under his breath at her reaction to his state of undress. He should have realized, after all, that this was sweet, innocent, untouched Mag. He should have realized what her reaction would have been even before it came. But of course, being the stubborn idiot he was, he was oblivious to the thought that she might take offense or even be frightened off by the sight of him naked. He raked a hand through his hair and sighed in exhasperation at his carelessness. Frowning, he went back to the water's edge and knelt down, cupping his hands and dragging them through the water momentarily before straightening and heading back over towards Mag. He hovered over her a moment, admiring the peaceful way she was laid out before him. Then with little ceremony, he crouched down beside her and let the water trickle over her face, hoping to revive her to some extent. He wasn't sure what had gotten the two of them into such a state of fright while he had been gone, but he wanted to get Mag away from the water's edge where he would feel a little more at ease. "Come on, Mag. Wake up, Little Mouse." He murmured affectionately. There was a niggling, prideful and manly voice in the back of his head that couldn't help but question whether Mag had actually liked what she had seen while he was naked. He quelched that thought as quickly as it came though, cursing himself for having those types of thoughts about her while she was in such a state. |

She could hear everything around her but felt as if she was in some sort of dream like state. She could think to herself but she was unable to move or respond in any way. All she could do at the moment was think over her situation in the safety of her head. 'Well that was...new, I will have to admit it. I still don't know what to think about it but I don't regret it. Maggie for shame thinking like that, back home that would have gotten you...a husband...well...no more of that. I hope Akire is not to worried, poor dear I love him far to much for him to get flustered about this. At least now that it has been seen it will not be so much of a surprise next time...and why I think there is a next time I will never know.' As she spoke to herself in her mind she felt a clod droplet hit the side of her face and then another. Twitching lightly she reacted trying to get the water off her face by moving her head to the side but it only caused some water to go into her ear. Sitting up quickly she jumped alive nearly knocking Akire in the head with her skull. She stopped short face to face with him, her eyes glancing down quickly and she gave a sigh of relief to see him in pants again. She was so close to him now she could have...well she could have done a lot of things, one of them was bite him but honestly why would she bite anyone? The thought however put quite a smile on her face her blue eyes looked up into his. Another think Mag could have done and sort of wanted to do was kiss him but she didn't want to complicate their friendship. Ha that was a right good laugh, it seemed complicated no matter what to start with. Honestly the two had more odd moments then normal ones, but that was alright with her since she was an odd person anyways so to her it could possibly be normal. The little fairly fluttered forward poking Mag on the nose and making her flinch slightly as she shook her head a little, "Stop that Silver how rude." Looking back at Akire she smiled again straightening up her back more so she was not slouching, "It's okay Akire, I just...well...I...that was...an interesting moment for me. However next time do well to warn me first please." She gave a small smile hoping he would not freak out about the whole thing...she knew she already was. She still didn't know what to think, the Angel in her was still blushing, in fact she was probably actually blushing all the same. The angel in her was hiding it's face and was greatly embarrassed but the human in her was trying to push her closer to Akire, not to forget thinking of rather inappropriate things in Mag's opinions. It was not that humans were whores...they were just creatures who were meant to mate, angels on the other hand were not. It was a good thing she was half angel or she might have been on Akire faster then he would have realized he had had no cloths on. Leaning back a little the plant still seemed to be slightly annoyed, on of its heads was flattened against the ground slowly picking itself up from the mossy ground. Mag turned her head slightly and looked down at the sorry looking thing. As she reached to help it up Silver landed on top of it and started biting into the steam. Mag moved closer to Akire throwing her arms around him and whispering, "The marsh is a strange place with very strange creatures." |

Akire was startled when Mag finally pushed herself up, nearly colliding with him. He stood there, so close to her and desperately wanting to be even closer. He held his ground however, respecting Mag in a way that he doubted any other man would have had the restraint to respect her in. He swallowed hard, however, his eyes still burning in the intensity of the moment. All she had to do was lean forward and press her lips to his. That was all it would take. And as quickly as the moment came, it was gone again and Mag was back up on her feet. Akire couldn't help the deflated hunch of his shoulders at the fact that he had been rejected, yet again. He knew now enough to expect nothing less, but it still left him with a hollow feeling in the pit of his stomach. As quickly as he lost his composure, he struggled to regain it, not wanting Mag to see the look on his face. He steeled himself again and turned back towards her, trying to focus on whatever it was she was saying. The little sprite had broken up the close moment that the two had shared, and Akire couldn't help but cast it a dark look. He turned his attention back to Mag and blinked at her and the following words she said. Akire raised an eyebrow at her and shook his head. "You had me so worried about you, Mag, that when I shifted I forgot to include clothing as a part of the deal in the shift. It was an impulsive reaction to wanting to make sure you were ok. I'll try not to let it happen again." He said, sounding almost like a scorned child. Akire watched as Mag regarded the plant again and then frowned as the sprite darted out and started to chomp on the stem of the plant. He narrowed his eyes as he watched it, and in the next moment, Mag had her arms wrapped back around his bare torso. Akire had to close his eyes to steady his nerves. She was asaulting him with the close proximity she hovered in to him. He closed his eyes and inhaled her scent, trying to keep his senses distanced from her. It was nearly impossible. He cleared his throat and tried his best to detatch himself from her, straightening in her arms and sighing. "Some things out here have a different way of going about everyday life." He murmured absently as he tried desperately to gain a hold of himself again. He had been under the assault of her closeness and felt her arms around his neck before, but never after such a heated moment as when she had been so close to brushing her lips up against his. It was playing havoc on his mind. |

She felt sad when he seemed to be punishing himself for what had happened. She wanted to snuggle him and tell him it was alright but she refrained trying not to make the moment any more complicated then it had already been. "That's alright it was an accident, accidents happen and can not be avoided. Your concern for me is flattering." Mag bit her lip realizing her verbal slip up and choked back on the sentence running it over in her mind. Faltering, a word she could work around but often times when people were flattered they were also attracted which she was but she just didn't want to admit it. Rather then recovering and saying something like 'I meant humored or I appreciate that,' she just blushed and turned away shyly fixing her hair. Mag looked back at her fairy friend as she licked the sap off her fingers and hissed at the plants other head which seemed to be trying to get at her in vengeance. She felt her face burn up a little from embarrassment and replied to his comment, "Indeed, well I should not disrespect their culture and ways. I shouldn't feel sorry for plants...if I start that I will have to live off air and water." She joked to herself trying to make light of the situation. Mag could tell Akire was a little uncomfortable from the situation and let him free but she could not complete pull herself away from him choosing to put her arm around on of his. When Silver found herself clean again she beat her thin wings and rose up over the ground before landing on Mags shoulder and giggling. Her giggles were almost haunting and frightful but Mag just smiled at the creature and looked back at Akire. It was almost as if the little thing could read both their minds and found the whole ordeal to be quite the fun little game. As fairies were it was tempted to cause some trouble but it decided instead to just bat her wings lightly and jump onto Akire's head climbing his hair. Mag swatted at the little fairy and scolded it, "Silver I told you not to pester poor Akire, that is so rude." The fairy ignored her just turni9ng a shoulder to her as Mag giggled. "I think someone likes you Akire, I could not blame her. Your a rather impressive creature." Of course she hoped he knew she was talking his personality trying again to get the picture of his naked body out of her mind. The only problem being her mind didn't want to forget it. Did she regret becoming a woman? Sometimes she did, if only she could be little again, Mag didn't feel quite like an adult, she felt like she was still very young but around Akire she found herself growing up faster then she did when she had been home. |

Akire watched her as she seemed to contemplate her choice of words and decided to shake it off. He couldn't let himself be confused with the mixed messages she always seemed to be sending him. It left him off-balance all the time and completely unsure while, normally, he was confident and used to leading someone to whatever goal they had in sight. With Mag, he could never be sure of himself. He could never be sure of what she wanted, and that made him unsure of what he really wanted. She turned away from him and he sighed, trying to push it out of his mind. Akire forced a smile as she mentioned that she would have to stop feeling sorry for plants. "It's a measure of your character, Mag. You're compassionate and kind, so it's natural that you feel that way. However, you're right." He said with a shrug of his shoulder. He finally turned back towards her, the playful gleam in his eye had returned. "And if you decide to stop eating even greenery now, I'm going to have to hold your mouth open and feed you myself." He said, the full force of his humor in his voice. Akire watched as Silver fluttered up from the ground and hovered on Mag's shoulder momentarily before she flittered off and landed atop his head. He made a strange face at the little sprite and then shook his head gently, trying not to disloge the sprite from her spot atop his head. He smiled in spite of himself. "Don't get too comfortable up there. If I have to spontaniously shapeshift, there's a good chance your seat's going to give out underneath you." He said, tapping the top of his head. He smiled over at Mag and then held up his hand to silence her complaints. "Silver's alright where she is, so long as she can hold on tightly and is prepared for anything to happen." He said, giving Mag a wink. |

Mag smiled at him when he made the joke and replied with her own air of humor, "Well then that would be quite the task Akire, trying to feed me. No one has tried since I was two and it hadn't worked to well even then. Often times my mother ended up with more food on her then in my mouth. I may be sweet but as you know I am also hopelessly stubborn, another trait I got from my mother." One would never think that from looking at her but if she made her mind up she would follow through with it and no one could tell her otherwise. She either had to fail and come running home looking for someone to make her feel better or succeed and grow. Mag looked up to Akire feeling her face get a little warmer and her head a little lighter. Just the site of him was enough to change her behavior. He made her more confident in herself, more courageous. He honestly mad her a better person. When he talked to Silver she watched with amusement as the fay made a quiet giggling sound and covered her mouth. Looking back down at the plant Mag shrugged and slipped her journal back inside her cloak tucking it away into the pocket. The red fabric shifted lightly as she straightened out and brushed some dirt free from it. Her eyes then wandered onward through the marsh and Mag muttered, "Well onward is it?" She moved forward trying to put the events behind her. As she walked pass a particularly viney area she winced as the image came into her mind again. Damn to her human thoughts and dark instincts that simply could not let go of the thought of Akire naked before her. She had almost been utterly tortured by herself and the event, if only he knew how much she wanted to be closer to him. Hold him, kiss him and most of all love him. She felt she had so much love to share and she had never found the person she wanted to share it with until she had met him. It was so silly, he probably didn't even like her and here she was with the image of his naked form still caught in her mind. His chiseled muscles and impressive form made her lose her surroundings causing her to stumble on a root and fall to the ground. Mag reached out trying to grab hold of anything in order to stabilize herself but she met only soft muddy ground and a tuff of long grass. Silver let out a choirs of laughter fluttering from Akire and landing on a branch making kissing sounds. Mag looked up at the fairy wishing she would go away now and blushed from the incident. Well it was actually more so the thought that caused her to fall over that made her blush, and the fact she could not for the life of her get it out of her head no matter how hard she tried. |

Akire smiled at the thought of her being so stubborn. He had seen her stubborn personality take root the day he had found her. She had stood up to the men who had taken her hostage, even if it had resulted in more brutality towards her. He found his blood boiling at the thought of the things that could have been done to her while she had been held captive by those wretched men. He swallowed hard and clentched his teeth, trying desperatly to push those thoughts away. Things had worked out for the good and he had managed to get ahold of her before anything too horrid had happened to her. Akire smiled at her and then shrugged a shoulder. "I'll keep it in mind, but if it comes to the greater good of your health, I will win." He said with a brief glimmer of humor lighting his eyes. "I'm a stubborn man when I want to be too." He said with a chuckle. Except with her... you give in to her so easily. Akire wanted to groan at his own mind revealing truths that he hadn't realized before. He clentched his teeth again and watched her a moment before peeling his eyes away and preparing to head off again. They had only walked a few paces when Mag fell down hard. He didn't have a chance to catch her as she fell and he cursed himself for not keeping a closer eye on her. She seemed utterly embarassed about something, and he chalked it up to the fall she had just taken and the fairy's laughter. Akire shot the fairy a dark look and then grasped Mag around the waiste, pulling her to her feet and spinning her towards him again. He lifted one of her hands and inspected it gently, looking for any sign of abraisions or bruising. He let her hand drop to the ground and then finally raised his eyes to meet hers. It wasn't until that moment that he realized just how close to him she was. He found himself staring into her eyes and had to resist the compulsion to swallow as he watched her. He was transfixed and there was nothing he could do to stop himself. Slowly his hand lifted towards the curve of her neck, gently brushing her skin with the palm of his hand. He moved in towards her in slow incriments and was only inches away from pressing his lips to her when he caught himself, horrified at the fact that he was so close to pushing her away. He swallowed hard and pressed his forhead to hers, closing his eyes and trying to regain his last shred of control he had over himself. "I'm sorry." He murmured, resting his forhead against hers and clentching his jaw. Slowly and broken-heartedly, he pulled away from her, letting his hand drop back to his side. He might have already screwed things up with her to a point beyond repair. He waited silently for her condemnation. He waited for her to tell him to leave her be and never return. |

Mag just smiled at Akire helped her back to her feet and looked over her hand to make sure she was alright. "You know I am rather resilient, I’ve survived man eating plants already today." Her brilliant blue eyes moved to meet his almost locking the two as they gazed into the depths of their pools. She noticed his hand wrap behind her neck making her jump a little and attempt to resist whatever was to come next but her body seemed to just give into him and move along as he willed it. She noticed her eyes close as they drew nearer to each other and she prepared to get kissed for what would be the first time. Tal had once tried to kiss her but she ended up running away from him and hiding behind a tree out of fear. It had taken her by surprise then and frightened her but this time she didn't have any objections. In fact she had felt she had waited s long to taste Akire's lips. It was damn time she got the chance. She felt her breaths become shallow as they got so close she almost lost control of herself. The sound of her own heart pounded in her head giving her a slight light headed feeling almost to the point she fainted but she held on as that rhythmic beat made her rather jumpy and excited. As magical as it was becoming she noticed Akire back off a little as her rested his forehead to hers. Her eyes fluttered open as she gazed at him with slightly confusion, her heart still racing. His hand released the back of her neck taking away that perfect moment she almost had and watching it fly out her preverbal window like a bird. The fairy had been sitting on the top of the branches almost as excited as Mag was for the event to take place and then she seemed all together disappointed when it did not. However Mag did see some light come from this situation, perhaps Akire did feel the same about her as she felt for him. The idea made her gain just a little more confidence about expressing her inner feelings as she moved her head down and rested it on his shoulder putting her arms around him for a moment. Keeping her head on his shoulder she whispered quietly, "That's alright Akire, I forgive you. I can't hold that against you what happens. Besides I was no more a saint then you in that moment." With that she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and stood back taking his hand. "Now...we have a bog to explore." |

Akire turned back in time to briefly feel her lips against his cheek. Instinctively, he reached up and touched the spot on his cheek her lips had brushed and he swallowed hard. Had he just blew it by... not kissing her? Akire blinked a few times, completely unsure as to what had just happened. He had expected condemnation. He had expected her to run from him, and he would have let her go despite the fact that he would have hung back to make sure she cleared the bog unharmed. He hadn't expected that though. He was left standing there a moment with his mouth agape, not exactly sure what to respond to her revalation with. Was it possible that she actually had feelings for him? That he wasn't the only one who felt as if things between them could be more if only they let it be more? Akire clentched his teeth, trying to tamp down all the thoughts and implications that flooded through his mind. He didn't know how to cope with it. He was so used to keeping himself in tight reign and never revealing his own feelings that having slipped felt... strange. He ran a weary hand over his face and sighed to himself. Way to complicate things even further, Akire. Brilliant. He looked down at his hand when he felt her cool fingers wrapping around his once again. She hadn't been repulsed at all, she was still welcoming him, still holding on to him. It gave him hope above all else, and he couldn't help but offer her a smile despite the fact that he was still incredibly unsure of himself and even her at the moment. "You're right. We do have a bog to explore." With that, he cast a glance over his shoulder. "And what about you, Silver? You planning on accompanying us, or are you going to sit in that tree all day and laugh at us?" He asked the little sprite with a raised brow. |

Mag watched as he touched the spot she had placed her kiss, her eyes shimmered with a short mischievous glint as she smiled and shook her head. Boys were so funny when around girls. They always did the most absurd things. Mag liked Akire more then anything else in the world however because he did not react like most men. Most men would not have been able to hold themselves back as he had. Most men would have had her on the marsh floor and would have taken advantage of her affection. It would have been so easy to take advantage of Mag, she did not have much in the way of defending herself, Akire knew that. Him of all people knew that for certain, he knew just how fragile she was, how easy it would be to destroy her or trick her. Yet he of all people never tried, he didn't have her on the marsh floor, he didn't take advantage of her, and he didn't try to push her or force her into anything she didn't want. Even if she had wanted him to kiss her the fact that he had control enough to stop made her admire him all the more. Even if they did come to love each other she knew he could never hurt her as she feared the other men would have. She had even feared that Tal himself, her best friend was not simply just in love with her but in love with the idea of keeping her to himself and gaining what had been considered the untamable girl, the one who was to free to be held back by a man. Other men she had met had only ever wanted her for her appearance. She was naive but not stupid, she noticed the look most men gave her. That dark desire that frightened her away from them, the reason she had never gotten married because none of them knew her and they may hate what she was. Akire never hated who she was and he never looked at her the way most men did. That alone was her proof that he of all men deserved her. When he spoke to Silver Mag looked up at the little fairy and smiled, "So looks almost more disappointed then the two of us." Mag giggled as she looked at the fay sulking on the branch with arms crossed and face distorted into a rather comical frown. After a moment she beat her wings and fluttered over to Akire pulling his hair and waving a finger in his face as she screeched at him almost as if giving him a lecture. Her high pitch tone did not die down nor did her outburst. After some time Mag got rather...hurt almost by the way the fairy had become so rude to Akire that she clapped her hands around it trapping it in a cage of fingers and dragging it to her face, "Be kind Silver." Mag realized that if someone hurt Akire it hurt her too, if someone yelled at Akire it offended her as well. Opening her hands again the fairy flew out and Mag took hold of Akire once more. "Alright then, come along Silver and mind your tongue." She walked forward with the silver fay keeping a small distance behind the two, maybe in hopes something more exciting might happen. If nothing did then perhaps she would make something happen. "Alright, now to look for little bog men. they are nearly impossible to find but with your heightened senses Akire I think we can manage." |
