As a little girl she loved music and her mother taught her how to play the piano that was in their manner. She was apart of a rather wealthy family, her father was cousin to a French Count and her mother had once been a singer. Even young Helena took up her mothers grief of voice and started singing on her own and she was quite a lovely singer even at her young age. By the time Helena was seven her mother had gotten pregnant again and she was said that she would have a baby brother. Helena could hardly wait for him to be born and her wait would not be long for he came three months early and died shortly after birth. Her mother became depressed never leaving the room after that and she got very ill while her father brushed off his grief for the sake of his daughter. A year after her brother had died her mother too joined him. The doctors were always confused as to how a perfectly healthy woman died but her father said it was from heartache. He tried to remarry but never did for fear his new bride would take his love away from the one who was truly special to him, his daughter. He cherished his daughter seeing his dead wife in her every time he listened to her sing. He called Helena his Angel and gave her everything she wanted. She was very gifted with music learning to play the violin like her father and the piano like her mother. She also took up the cellos, the flute, and the harp. When she turned ten however her father remarried thinking she was old enough to understand. her step mother was not very found of young Helena and wanted to move to France and so they did. After that however life was just not good enough for her step mother and she ordered Helena leave the house. It was then her grandmother took her in and Helena lived in the opera house where she worked. Her grandmother was a vocal teacher and had once been a legendary opera singer. So Helena took lessons from her grandmother and learned to sing soon taking lead rolls in the opera's put on. Helena rarely ever saw her father but when she heard his health was ailing he came to the opera to watch her sing. They said that when the curtain closed he passed away. Doctors said they had no rational explanation for his death but Helena knew why he died. She figured her step mother had poisoned him over the years so she could inherit her fortune and run off with her young lover. Unfortunately that was just what happened but Helena had the opera house and didn't care for the fortune of her father, only that he be buried with her mother and brother. When she was eighteen she met a young man who had seen her sing and the two fell in love instantly. They were inseparable and after many years when they were nineteen he decided to ask her to marry him. Their souls had mated the day they had met and they were destine to be together forever, or at least that is what they thought. A month before the wedding Helena went to the opera house to get some music sheets for the next opera they would be doing. When she went into her dressing room she was attacked by a man who had obsessed about her and had become angry when hearing she was to get married. He beat her so hard that he had broken her neck and had ravished her body leaving her lover heart broken. He could not live without her and so he tried to bring the woman he loved back to life. After three tried and failing he was taken away from her. many years had passed and Helena had laid in a glass casket only to wake up in her family crypt frightened and confused. She never knew what had happened, why she had come back to life. Her theory had been that the love for her was so strong it had started her silent heart again but she does not belong among the living just as she does not belong among the dead. She is a lost phantom and yet a living angel. It is still a mystery to what she truly is but Helena prefers to see herself as still just a mortal woman even if she had been dead for the past thirty two years.
