Dislikes: Poorly crafted weapons and armor, lazy smiths, not having enough materials for his work, being pushed for his work, or being rushed in general. Goals: To achieve perfection in his art. Strengths: Gerich is one of the best in the world when it comes to forging weapons and armor. When focused on a project, he can make incredible progress in a short time. Patient, intelligent, and highly experienced due to his extreme age. Habits: Likes to test people. Wanders the world for materials. Weaknesses or Flaws: Not particularly agile, set in his ways, forgetful of things he deems unimportant. General Personality: Gerich is a wise old man, but you wouldn't know it until you've spent enough time around him for the hints to peak out. He is almost always working on some project or another, sometimes several at a time ... to the point where one wonders how he ever finishes anything. His secret is a level of efficiency obtained through literally thousands of years in the business. His mind has two basic modes. Focused or ... well ... unfocused. When it comes to weapons and armor, one can almost see his eyes change as he tunes out all distraction and focuses on the task at hand. While in this state, he remembers every detail required to complete a job, and his ability to make progress on the work is unparalleled. On the other hand, while unfocused, he's quite laid back, funny, and even adventurous. While in this state, he can usually be found in taverns, eager to enjoy a good drink and some idle conversation. Family Father: Long Dead and forgotten Mother: Long Dead and forgotten Siblings: Long Dead and forgotten Lover: None that he cares to remember. Note: No MAB for him. Ever. Other Family: Long Dead and forgotten Companions or Pets: None Background General History: Having literally lived longer than he can remember, Gerich has, at one point or another, seen it all, but he's learned not to dwell in the past. He pays attention only to the present, although on occasion you might catch him reminiscing about a particularly good piece of work he'd completed for someone thousands of years ago. There was a time once when he was young and had family and friends, but while they eventually died from war or old age (as mortals do), he'd kept on living. He grieved for them, of course, but he never really bothered to find out why he was different. As the ages passed by even they were eventually put behind him ... not forgotten, but no longer of great significance. Gerich's one true passion has been and will always be the pursuit of perfection in his art, and that is what keeps him going to this day. Despite his efforts, or perhaps because of them, his name is known only by a select few, but to those few, any piece bearing Greyburn's mark is a commodity that is both prized and highly sought after.
