A new axe, a new job, earn money, get more ale. These were the new thoughts that were running through Grumbars empty head. Last night after many failed attempts of acquiring free ale, Grumbar soberly roamed the streets looking for something, anything to keep his head from hurting, images of places and people he didn't recognize kept jumping in, causing more wave of pain. Through chances of luck he came across an axe, just lying there in the middle if the road, no one was in sight, it was dark and Grumbar had an idea, he got a job as a lumberjack and with newly aquired images in his head he knew where to find the perfect wood, so of he went to the enchanted forest. "TIMBER!!" Grumbar yelled, a large oak fell to the ground after colliding with many other trees, also felling those, with a few chops he managed to fell four trees, unluckily for him the a tree landed on his man pulled cart that his employer gave to him, "feck". Now that made slit of noise, obviously it was gonna atract some attention. Edited by Grumbar, Jun 20 2009, 09:37 PM.

"no no no no no no!" squeaked daisey, "what have you done? No no no no ,this is bad, very bad, so much damage, destruction, mayhem, MAYHEM! Aahhhhhhhhh!" the abnormally small golden fairy more a tiny globe of light, "now I'm gonna have to tidy this up, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I am so angry!" with that she zoomed up to the dwarves head and gives him a right good kick between the eyes, then zooms right back to a safe distance, tutting away with her dissaproval. |

Rubbing his head, Grumbar had no idea what had just happened, a little squeek muttered something about how cross it was and hit him, he tried to swat it away but was too fast, "wit was that?" he heard branch snap in the distance behind him, Grumbar spun round and scanned the trees, nothing, another snap of a twig from behind him again, followed by a faint "sshhh". "who's there?" "no! Not now!" squeeled a shrill voice, Grumbar spun around to see a single Goblin charge for him wielding a short spear, Grumbar already has his axe equipt, went into a ready stance and waited for the goblinoid to reach him. The charging goblin screamed as it got into hitting distance lunging his spear forward, Grumbar just parried the blow in time before it impaled him through the gut, counterblow, sliding his axe up the shaft of the spear he runs it through the goblins fingers into it's body, blood sprayed over the ferns underneath. The goblin dropped where once stood. "CHARGE" shreeked another goblin in the bushes, as one four other goblins jumped out if the hiding spots, one at each corner of Grumbar. Grumbar tightened his grip, and tucked his foot under the fallen spear on the ground. |

Daisey saw the goblins charge the dwarf, age was scared, she didn't know what to do, the dwarf was outnumbered in an unprovoked attack, she might have been young but she knew that the goblins were in the wrong, "I have to do something, but what, what should I do, what should I do, what should I do? ... Aha!" she saw one of the goblins were equipt with a sling instead of a spear like the others, the goblin knelt down to pick up a stone from the ground, Daisey swooped down as the goblin was loading his weapon, about to launch Daisey quickly swooped the stone from the device, it took alot of effort since the stone was roughly the same size of her. The goblin let loose his sling, to find that nothing happened, confused it bent down to pick up another stone. The goblin behind Grumbsr was closing in faster than the two at front, "behind you!" screamed Daisey. |

Grumbar flicked the spear from the ground towards one if the goblins in front, not causing the goblin any damage but slowing it down causing it to take cover, the Dwarf quickly spun round with the alert of behind you, using the momentum of the swing and hoping that the goblin was is range, he swung hard and fast, contact, the blade if the axe sliced through the neck of the goblin from behind but the axe didn't stop there, it stopped after the dwarf turned a full 360 and implanted itself in the chest of the other goblin. The charging goblin that the fairy warned Grumbar about didn't stop it had his throat slit, sure it dropped it's weapon, but the body stumbled forward colliding with Grumbar pushing him into the other goblin. "not the sandwich I was wanting to be part of". All three fall to the ground, the last spear wielder stood over Grumbar, held up his spear, pointed it's tip towards the dwarfs chest grinned wickedly saying "nows you dies". |

The golden orb squeeled, looking at both the goblins standing with wicked grins, the dwarf laying prone between two dead goblins to make things worse it looked like his axe was stuck in that goblins chest, deep. Daisey had to make a decision fast. She had an idea. With all the speed she could muster bellowing at the top of her lungs, which to Grumbar and the goblin was no more than a high pitch squeel, she rammed her entire body into the face of the goblin. The goblins head jerked back slightly, it's attention stolen from it, the goblin swatted away the fairy. |

Grumbar didn't hesitate when he saw the distraction, he managed to get hold of a fallen spear with one hand and lunged it out, plunge, into the goblins exposed lower torso. A look of surprise replaced cockiness, the goblins grip of his spear loosened, dropping to the ground behind him, the goblin shortly following. A loud and painful thud hit Grumbars horned helm, spinning it slightly, the dwarf took a quick look from where he was hit, the last goblin was reaching quickly for another stone. Grumbar climbed out of his goblin sandwich still clutching the spear, another stone flew at him, but missed, Grumbar took aim and launched, the last goblin was already in midspin for a hasty retreat, the spear caught him on the shoulder, spining it to the ground, a yelp of pain burst out the goblins mouth, it scurried on the ground, got up clutching it's arm, and ran away, blood from his arm dripping on the green ground. Grumbar ignored the injured goblin, and turned insesrch of the golden light that helped him. |

Shaking her head, Daisey lay next to a tree, her entire body ached, but at least there was nothing broken, she was surprised at that. Daisey took a little stretch, shaking out any stiffness. She heard something approaching, scared and not willing to take chances she flew up into the branches, she hoped the dwarf was fine and that the thing approaching wasn't the goblin. It was the dwarf, phew, he didn't look hurt, that was good. He seemed to be looking for something, probably Daisey. "I'll just stay hidden for now" she whispered "hidden for now, yes, that's good" |

Grumbar looked around for some time, he couldn't find the little light. He only wanted to see if it was alright, and to thank it. Grumbar figured if it were badly injured it wouldn't have gone far and most likely would have found it. Returning back to the place of battle, he tookba mental note of the scene, not much good it would do him when next time his memory goes a miss. He dislodged his axe from the chest of the scrawny goblin, it took a bit of effort, but with a twist here and a tug there he finnaly got it free. With the gear of a spear he scratched three lines on his axe, one for every kill done by it. Grumbar looked to the wreckage of his employers cart, he could fix it. Then he looked to where thevgoblin ran off, "that goblin is gonna alert it's mates, then I'll have my hands full, blast, shouldn't have given it a head start." he straightened his helmet and took off in search if the goblin, following a faint blood trail. |

Up high in the branches of the trees, Daisey followed. Still unsure if she should show herself as of yet she kept her distance. "what's he looking for?" she wondered, she assumed all the goblins were dead already, "why doesn't he leave?". she noticed that the dwarf was running in the direction that the loud noises and screams in the night come from. Daisey stopped wondering if she should still follow knowing what was ahead, she was always too scared to roam these parts, lots of hidden dangers and nasty surprises. |

The trail was getting difficult to follow, the trees and plants were closing in on each other the further inside the forest he went, he had to be careful not to get lost. He chipped away a slice from a nearby tree, a little breadcrumb to follow. He continued in deeper but a little slower, he didn't have any experience at all at tracking, all this was new to him, he was following a blood trail which was easy enough, he didn't know bout foot prints or snapped branches or crushed plants. It would matter if he did, the place was crawling with footprints. He eventually came across a bloodied spear on the ground, and a splash of blood on a bush, the chase was on again, Grumbar picked up the pace. |

"get yourself moving Butters!" scolded herself, "he's going to land himself in lots and lots of trouble up ahead, lots of trouble. But it was his own idea." she countered herself, "if he wasn't cutting down trees he wouldn't have attracted them, nope he wouldn't have. Ruined my pretty grove he did. But he didn't know ... Where did he go?" Daisey lost sight of the dwarf, panicking she flew off in the direction of the dwarf, and where the scary noises come from. "I'm just going to warn him, then I'm away" she told herself. |

Grumbar was running where he could see the blood, he heard rustlingbup ahead, he was catching up, Grumbar picked up the pace, unhooked his axe from his back, tightening his grip on the hilt. He heard the heavy breathing if his prey, Grumbsr pushed through some heavy bushes and there it was, the goblin was doubled over catching it's breath. The goblin turned round at the rustling behind him, he wanted to run but his legs wouldn't let him. He saw the dwarf explode from the bushes, axe in hand, he couldn't take his eyes off the axes already bloodied head as it came closer and closer, the goblins eyes widened as he saw the axe lodged in his chest, the impact lifted him from his feet and tossed him to the side, everything went dark. Grumbar took a second to look at the corpse, then looked up. Little wooden huts standing in beams encircled a big unlit bonfire, with grass roofs decorated with skulls of many different races, a village of goblins turned round to looked at the invading dwarf, stunned by the death of one of there kind. Motion erupted, angry yelps if protest erupted, and Grumbar was already running the direction he came. |

Daisey swooped down the forest floor to see if it helped to find the dwarf, she saw the chunk of bark missing from a nearby tree, "this must be the way", she zoomed in the direction age thought the dwarf went. The dwarf burst out of bushes at high speed, surprised the fairy didn't take off in time, instead she collided with the dwarves beard, a soft impact, better than a tree. |

A slight thud hit Grumbar on the chest, he quickly looked down and saw his beard was glowing gold, "what the?!?" closer examination he saw tiny arms and legs, it was the tiny glowing orb that helped him before. "what... What are you doing here?" huffed Grumbar, a swift jump over a log, and a quick dodge if a tree. A spear flew and lodged itself in the tree that Grumbar just dodge missing him by inches.
