Commoner
The blazing sun shone down upon the lush green scenery surrounding Alistair, who was sat in the shade of a lone oak tree beside the beaten road that lead to Trevena. The surroundings of the brown haired young adult were almost too beautiful to believe, the rolling green hills and picturesque blue, cloudless sky something he would never have even dreamed of seeing in his homeland. He had been walking non-stop since last night, having decided to travel through the cool darkness that the night brought.

Trevena was only a few miles away now, and he wanted to be there before nightfall - despite his self-proclaimed profession of 'Explorer', he hated sleeping outdoors. Standing up, he brushed the dirt from his large hide pants and stretched. Not only his arms, but his large, pure white wings, the sun lending them an unearthly glow. Alistair noticed this and looked over his shoulder. "Ha, and here I was hoping I'd be able to just blend into the crowd..." He said under his breath to himself, a smirk crossing his lips. He often forgot about his wings, even if they were large and quite noticeable. Deciding that he had had enough rest, he once again walked back onto the gravel path leading to Trevena, his gold tipped wings tucked together behind him.

Commoner
Eisenertz had gotten sick of Tintagel, he needed to satisfy his need for adventure. He hadn't told anyone he was leaving, not like they'd care anyway. He was aware of the risk he was taking, leaving the city unarmed, and with no really way of protecting himself, but it didn't matter. Eis was confident enough that he was faster than any of the beasties and bandits out here, and they weren't going to interrupt his travels. But where was he going to go? He didn't own a compass, so he didn't know what direction he was headed, and he didn't own a map, so he couldn't pinpoint his location.

While going over his plans, he must have walked a decent distance, as Tintagel was miles behind him. "Ugh, I should probably have prepared for this first, but, it's not too late to go back..." He mumbled, approaching a tree beneath which a stranger rested. In his normal, charmingly annoying voice, Eis asked, "Excuse me, sir, could you please tell me which direction I'm headed?" It didn't occur to him that the man to which he was speaking had wings, not like he cared. He'd seen stranger things.

Commoner
It took Alistair a second to realise that someone had actually just asked him something, because he hadn't seen anyone in a long time - the roads were surprisingly devoid of activity. He was quite surprised he hadn't been attacked yet, something he had been dreading since his homemade spear had been stolen at the farm village he had been in yesterday. Alistair scanned the person who had approached him, a boy - he assumed, it was hard to tell with the long, light blue locks he had and the pastel blue robe he was wearing - wearing a white mask that hid the features of his face. Alistair chuckled lightly. "Sorry, can't hear you for the mask, kid." He replied, shaking his head, his arms raised in fake apology.

Of course he could hear him perfectly well, and he knew the boy was asking for directions. Alistair had refrained from being too sarcastic regarding how, exactly, this guy thought he knew where he was heading. He needed to cut down on the sarcasm, so he just provided... 'advice', instead. "It's a nice mask, by the way." He added after a short moment of pause.

Damn, there he went again.

Eis wasn't sure whether the brown haired man was being messing with him or not, but he went along with it. With a quick motion his white mask was in his right hand, a soft smile spread across his face. "I trust you can hear me now, he said, playing with his curly blue locks. He hadn't noticed it before, but sprouting from the back of this stranger were lovely white wings. They shone brightly in the afternoon sun, and the tips of each father shone gold. "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but your wings are lovely."

Alistair raised a brow, thinking about the compliment he had just been given. He flexed the wings out to their full span, as if to show off. "Why, thankyou, kid." Alistair returned. He examined his face, and now that it was unmasked, he noticed that the chilly-haired boy had eyes of pure white, much like his own wings. It was odd, for sure, though he guessed that there were much stranger things to be seen in this new land he had only just started to expore.

"Now... I believe you were asking for directions before? I think I made that out." Alistair said, his left hand raising to stroke his chin in thought, his earlier smirk transformed into a small smile. This boy seemed interesting to say the least, he could tell just from looking at him. Alistair decided to make an extra special effort not to annoy him so much he ran away, like so many people decided to do, as absurd as it sounds.

Eisenertz
Commoner
Aside from his mother, Esienertz hadn't ever seen someone with wings. Numerous questions began to runt through his mind, but which should he ask first? "Do you have to have your clothes specially made to accommodate your wings?" He blurted out, not the least bit embarrassed. He'd completely forgotten twhat he approached the stranger for to begin with, and reached out his hand, "I'm Eisenertz, or Eis, whichever you prefer. Who're you?"

So not only did the kid - no, Eis, have an odd appearance, he had a strange name to boot. Then again, Alistair had no right to make fun of his appearance... he had wings, after all. Noticing that Eis had apparently forgotten about his original question regarding directions, Alistair decided to humour him. Kicking lightly at the earthy floor he was stood on, Alistair replied, "Eis, that's a..." Alistair stopped himself from saying something he didn't want to. "... very nice name." He said, his smile widening slightly. "My name is Alistair, it's a pleasure to meet you."

He was about to hold his hand out in a show of friendship, before he remembered that Eis had asked another question before. "Clothes... well, I usually just rip holes in the clothes I buy, because having them tailored to my needs gives the shop owners an excuse to charge me more." He explained, rolling his eyes as he said it. I'll have to buy a new spear when I find another shop... He thought quickly to himself, wondering how much that would deduct from his already dwindling supply of money. "Anymore questions, ki-, err, Eis?" He half-joked, expecting that there probably were.

"Just one more question, I promise," Eis grinned, "Why do you have wings?" It was exciting to think that he may have met another shapeshifter, as the only others that he knew of were his mother, father, and cousin Elvivir. Granted, he'd never met Elvivir or his father, but his mother had taken on forms with only basic wings. They didn't shine as Alistair's did.

Alistair frowned. He actually didn't know why he had wings, or much about them, just that his family had them for many generations and that they were always white, each feather tipped gold. "I... don't know why I have wings, sorry." Alistair responded, a slight tone of dissatisfaction in his own voice. He'd always been interested in his wings as much as the next person. "But hey, you never know. Maybe my ancestors were actual Angels?" He added as a possibility, the smile returning to his face. That was another thing he would maybe be able to find in Avalon... the origin of his wings, and why he had them.

"Anyway, Eis, where are you meant to be going?" Alistair asked, trying to get back to the original subject of their conversation. For some odd reason Alistair only just noticed how long Eis' hair was, reaching his waist. Was he just lazy, or did he like it that way? Either way, Alistair thought it suited him.

Honestly, Eis hadn't the slightest clue where he wanted to go. He didn't even know how he managed to get to Tintagel. "I just want to go somewhere OTHER than this city. Everyone's so boring, nothing out of the ordinary happens." He replied, still twirling his curly hair around his fingers. "You wouldn't happen to know of anyplace interesting, would you?"

Alistair closed his eyes for a second while he thought. Interesting places? He'd only just arrived here, but he'd overheard villagers and adventurers in taverns talking about numerous places. One place that sounded particularly interesting to him were the ruins of an old town that were somewhere in Tintagel. If he'd heard properly, they were fairly close to their location, too. "Sure, there's a ruined village nearby that might be interesting." Alistair suggested, deciding that his visit to the capital could be put on hold for a while. The only thing he was wary of when it came to ruins were bandits, and in their apparently unarmed state, they might not have an excellent time defending themselves. "Of course, ruins are always a prime spot for bandits to be hanging out in. You up for the danger, my girly little boy?" He teased, regretting it somewhat after saying it. Not only was it sort of rude, it sounded almost like he was flirting. He wasn't, of course.

Ruins, unarmed? That seemed a bit silly, but he was looking for excitement and fun, so, why not? "Sure, "Ali", sounds fun," he said with a grin. Alistair seemed trustworthy enough, and he hadn't walked away yet. "A little danger never...well, wait, yes, a little danger has hurt someone, I'm sure. But that's not the point,"

Nodding, Alistair turned away from Eis, careful not to hit him with his wings and pointed a little west of where he had come from. "Over there, I believe. We'll be there quite fast if we... well, walk fast." Alistair said, chuckling slightly. He turned back to Eis, realised that he was wearing robes and that it was quite warm, and then let out a deep breath. "Although it's pretty warm, so I think we should take a slower pace."

Alistair was impressed with himself - he was managing to do much better around Eis than he usually was with people, and he hoped he could keep it up. Eis was... charming, he supposed. "Well then, let's go, Eis!" Alistair exclaimed as he began to head off the path and onto the lush fields that seperated him and his first real adventure in Avalon.

Warm? It was, a bit, but the breeze rolling through the area made it less so. Eh, if Alistair wanted to take it slow, he could, but Eis wanted to get there quickly. "This way, right? Don't keep me waiting," He said loudly, his bright, waist-length hair flying about as he ran to the west.
