Reiku found himself making his way into the tavern. He was supposed to meet up with someone of magical prowess. They say that she is a witch for hire, casting her spells for a price. Huh. Strange. He had never met one before and he figured that he can try and see what she is capable of. Perhaps she may be of some use to him when the time comes. He wouldn't mind the price if she can get the job done.

Desiree, her dark cloak pulled tight around her and the hood pulled over her head, hiding her face, stood still for a moment at the door of the Tavern. She had been requested for her use of powers. After she took a deep breath, she entered the tavern and sat at a tiny table in a dimly candle-lit corner, no doubt meant to have a romantic -gag- atmosphere to it, but she chose it simply for privacy's sake. She scoped the room as she waited, seeing nothing of particular interest.

The first thing that caught his attention was the strange atmosphere in one of the tables. For a tavern, it was strange and not really a common sight. He shrugged. He figured to try that table first. It was worth a shot.
He walked up to the table and pulled out a chair, sitting on it as he saw a woman, hiding her face and sat near him. He smirked and asked. "How much for a spell?"

Desiree looked up at the man who joined her at the table. This must be the client. He was young looking, late teens maybe, Close to her age.
"That would depend on the requested spell, the expected result, and general difficulty of the process." She replied quietly, not removing her hood. She didn't like letting clients see her face. She didn't want anyone to be able to recognize her. There were too many risks. If a spell didn't turn out perfectly, after all, she was still learning and that wasn't something she intended to tell the customers. Also, there were witch hunters out there who would go as far as to send a false client to track her or at least confirm her whereabouts. It was too great a risk to trust anyone.

"Actually, I'm more interested to know what you can do," Reiku smirked and signaled to the barkeep. He was a usual here so his order was the usual mug of ale. He placed his hands on the table and turned to her, as if making it known that this table was a private one and no one is invited. He was also making sure no one can eavesdrop. He smirked and stroked his blindfold for a while. He was hiding his eyes. He didn't want anyone to see them. "So...what can you do?"

Watching as the man ordered his drink, he must be a regular here because he ordered 'the usual', Desiree began studying the man's manor. He was collected, relaxed, comfortable with his surroundings. Desiree didn’t order anything. She loved expensive ales when she could afford them, but today she was short on money and when working, she couldn’t afford to drink.
His question made her worry a bit. She didn’t want to lie, because she knew if she did and he requested a very difficult spell, she would be in more trouble than she could afford. Dissatisfied customers were a very messy part of the job. They often came with mobs and fire and hot tar, and never too pleasant.
She had to think quick, but she found an appropriate reply.
“It is unnecessary for you to know everything I can do, rather, you tell me what I need to do, and will decide the price and the necessary preparations.” she said, hoping this reply sounded professional and convincing enough.

Reiku smirked as she told her answer. He leaned back, eying her for a while as he did so. He laughed a bit. This was the one he was going to hire? She seemed...like a novice. Well, she certainly didn't tell him what she can do. He was curious as to what she can do and he was interested in having a witch as the magic source in terms of fighting. Yes. He was thinking of inviting her to join his guild. He was a bit worried if she would be dead weight or not though. He currently had none of those but wasn't interested to have a leech. He decided to be straight. "Listen, I want to know what you can do because I want to permanently hire you as a guild witch. I can offer security, safety and many more. But I need to find out what you are capable of."

Desiree was uncomfortable as he leaned back and seemed to stare her down for a moment. He finally spoke up and stated his intentions. Desiree couldn't help but allow a quiet scoff escape her lips. "You offer this as if you already know that I am interested in becoming your permanent spell keeper." She retorted.. ‘Men!’ she thought to herself. They always seem to think that they know what you want. She did not need his protection, and she was doing well enough on her own. If that’s all he had to offer, she was not interested.
“Do you have a specific quest for me, or are you wasting our precious time?” she inquired bluntly, beginning to get defensive.

Reiku was already tempted to laugh. She was avoiding his question but he kept answering hers. She was hiding something. "I have several needs for you. Several quests. Now, depending on what you can do, will be what I'll be asking you to do. Now...what can you do?" A shattering glass can be heard out of nowhere and no one knew where it came from except Reiku. "I suggest you answer his question..." Reiku told her, referring to the other personality. Shattering glass can be heard again and then silence.

<<Hey, I need a link to your character Info... it might explain what "other personality" you are talking about... lol. I looked for it, but i couldn't find it on my own>>
Desiree was getting very annoyed and her stomach was twisted in a knot of nerves. Why couldn't he just state his request and she could tell him weather or not she could achieve the result?
Suddenly, there was a crashing noise. It sounded like glass being shattered by a brick. Loud, crunching, high-pitched. The man in front of her now had a different expression, like he was a different person completely. He looked annoyed, maybe even angry. He urged her to answer ‘his’ question. More shattering noises.
Desiree’s mind was spinning. What was happening? She didn’t know how to answer the question. She couldn’t tell him that she were only a novice, but she couldn’t claim to be something greater, either, for if he asked for a difficult spell, she would look like a fool, and her life could even be at stake if her were angry enough.
“I-I… I can do most of the basics…. I specialize in the art of healing!” she stuttered in a low, rough whisper. “I practice at an Apprentice level. I have not yet perfected my abilities, but what I do, I do well.” she continued, hands shaking, bright blue eyes darted around the room, still shielded be her hood and cloak.

Reiku grinned teasingly at her. So she finally said that she not mastered her spells. He laughed a bit and reached out behind him. He took out a dagger and placed it on a table. He smiled and chuckled to himself as he pushed the dagger to her. "So...you don't know any spells? How well are you with a blade? Would you be interested to learn a couple of spells? I need a magi in my guild. I've only heard about you and your profession. I figure to come to you first. Besides, I'd pay you more than you make a day, give you a safe place and protection. All I need is loyalty. You can even continue being a novice witch for hire if you want. But you'll have to put the guild in first priority."

Desiree felt her heart quicken as he reached behind him. She grabbed the edge of the table, preparing to turn it over if she found herself in need of any protection. He pulled a dagger from behind him and her heart jumped again until he placed it on the table and slid it across to her, restating his offer.
"I guess learning is never a bad idea...?" she said as she looked down at the blade. 'And a place to stay may not be a horrible idea either. Surely it beats sleeping out in the open like I have the past year or so...' she thought as she lifted her hooded head and nodded, accepting his offer. "I accept your offer. I will learn the spells you request in exchange for the things you have said." She agreed. The only thing that was disputable was the loyalty. Loyalty, she had learned, was not something you could buy.

Reiku smiled. It seemed he had gained another asset in the guild. At least, there was a magic user. He needed to have several ways of doing things. It was so if one failed, he can count on the other. He needed to have variations. This guild is a great thing and also a great responsibility and obligation. He smirked and ordered the two of them a mug of mead each when a barmaid went their way. "You can have the dagger. Consider it a gift from me. It can be also a way for me to punish you if you ever even tried to betray me." He sounded threatening but he kept smiling. His eyes under that blindfold gleamed with glee. It seemed fortune was with him.

Desiree silently took the dagger from the table and set it across her lap.
When the barmaid came by, she had not intended to order, but the man ordered for her, and she didn't want to be rude either, especially not with the casual threat he had just made. The threat both irritated and frightened her. But, rather than show either emotion, she simply made a point.
"My intentions were not to be rude, but i must ask. What sort of loyalty do you expect when you have offered me a place to stay, money and even protection when you know not my name, and i know not yours?" She said in the a sweet voice she had learned could cause men to underestimate her and let down any guard that they had tried to enforce.
For the first time, it seemed, she noticed the blindfold over his eyes. She didn’t understand it’s purpose. Was he blind? She hadn’t paid enough attention to tell if he had stumbled and she hadn’t noticed a cane of any sort. What other purpose could such a cloth have?

Reiku waited for the drinks to have come before he answered her question. She wanted to know what kind of loyalties he needed? He'll tell her. His name? He'll tell her as well. He took the mug and took a sip, letting the drink fill him up for a while. He let down the mug on the table and turned to her and smirked. "Reiku Tohno, at your service. And what be my latest member's name be? Not that I can't find you anywhere, anytime, anyplace anyway."
