The palace that Andumi had acquired for this little tea party of extreme violence was modeled after the capital city-palace of a far-off Empire. Made entirely of white marble, it stretched well over several miles in length and was situated on a plateau, over 500 feet above the arid grasslands below. Within, broad streets, homes, reflecting pools, gardens, and all other accoutrement needed to maintain a self-sufficient city were there, in the exact appearance and location of their original counterparts. Of course, save for Andumi, there were no living creatures within. Only the plants in the gardens and the trees shading the avenues, along with some exotic fish in some of the plaza pools, showed any actual sign of life. Which, of course, is exactly as Andumi liked it. He walked, sprinted, lulled, stumbled, strolled, skipped (though in a very manly, confident way), and generally wandered about the completely empty city with reckless abandon, though he was careful to keep sensory spells and some minor barriers around the entirety of the city to keep out the more casual and opportunistic would-be looters. The shape of the city in and of itself was particularly a main reason why he had chosen it. With its center as a large garden full of mysterious black and white sand, each and every wall, hall, and boulevard served to create one of the largest spell-forms ever imagined in sheer size and effective power. The properties of this spell form were both immensely simple, and immensely complex. In the original, the inhabitants of the city served as a constantly flowing, living power source for the spell, magnifying its power many times over without fading. It accessed this by the additional command of the city's King to have an ancient ritual prayer said periodically throughout the city by all members of the populace. This prayer served to create a symbiotic relationship between Master and Vassal, giving the Vassal protection from certain forms of magic, in exchange for the lord's exponentially heightened abilities while within the city. Andumi, being the relatively selfish sort of person he was, had merely modified the city at its base properties to do the same, but with no, or hostile, life forces. However, the basic principle of more blood, equals more power, still remained. Then, of course, there was the happy fact that he had regained his powers. As he passed through a tunnel, actually a walled arch containing merely one set of concentric reinforced gates, he nonchalantly caused a large portion of matter straight in front of him to violently vacate its place. Of course, he merely continued on his path, bouncing straight into the apparent void. As soon as the last part of him had passed through the two-dimensional (though in all actuality it was most likely much more terribly complex than that) splotch of nothingness, another, similar phenomena occurred some ten feet from the sight of the last one to reveal Andumi, still bounding along in seemingly high spirits. Of course, this was merely a trifle of his actual abilities. He was fortunate that he had managed so much in this world; just recently he had completed construction of a gateway to his own dimensional existence deep within the bowels of the plateau, though in fact it was several hundred feet even below the plains. Naturally, it was only made to be used in the last of resorts, should the outcome of the coming battle turn against him. Andumi stopped his aimless examining of his new soon-to-be-most-likely-destroyed city to silently jump several hundred feet to the battlements of an outer wall. Towers, built for both defense against steel and against magic, were placed in perfect positions so as to render no spot unseen or unreachable. The only true entrance to the city itself was a winding road built into an independant rock spire some hundred feet or so away from the plateau's implacable stone face, with sharp turns and steep ascents to render seige an utter nightmare for an opponent. In addition, a massive drawbridge, now lowered, led to an arch full of murderholes and pipes for boiling oil should an enemy gain that far. Of course, there was also an inner gate, nearly a dozen feet thick and made of the hardest and most resilient materials Andumi could care to think of. Andumi surveyed his completely useless domain with slight anxiety. Yes, he had gained this fantastic capital, and recovered his abilites, but he couldn't help but think he had forgotten something. "....Fuck. I forgot food, didn't I?...Damn. This could be a problem. I did remember to make running water systems, though, right?....Yeah....Yeah....I did... Wait....Am I forgetting anything else? Hrm...I don't think so....Oh! Beds! Yeah, I did remember to put those in. And windows. And doors that open properly. And doorknobs. Okay...I think I'm ready now....I think." Andumi was anxious. This was a bad sign. He was never truly anxious about anything. However, he had done some research on his upcoming opponent. To be honest, it almost scared the living daylights out of him, the things he had been told. Nevertheless, though, he was confident in his own abilities. He just had to make sure he wasn't overconfident... |

Power... what was power and why do so many seek it? Crave it? Would do anything to obtain it? A question that has been asked by many, and in his lifetime, although young not even reaching his first decade as an immortal, Sujin held a deep grasp of wisdom. His life, full of chaos, bloodshed, and strength, long is the road that this one travels and longer still would it be to turn around and head back. So... for what reason did Sujin forge and hone his skills? Why was it that the King of Dragons continued to do nothing but grow stronger as the years rolled by? Was it to protect his ideals? His people? Greed maybe? Nobody other than he himself knows the answer... His strength was a genuine power, gained not from someone else, stolen from some ancient thing. No. Sujin clawed and crawled his way to the top, and it was here he stood, looking down upon the world below as all who once could keep his ravenous hunger in check disappeared. No longer did the Fallen, the Goliath, The Blademaster, or his blood brothers roam Avalon for their own goals. Many Sujin has outlived, others... grew tiered of the lifestyle those men capable of putting down their sword for good. And then there were those that the immortal has killed in his own climb up the later. Did he regret it? No. His goal's were honorable and noble, and it was not his job to keep his opponents alive... no, strength is measured by those who can continue forward even against impossible odds. But it seems now, now it is not Sujin who faces the impossible odds as he so valued growing up. No, it was he whom has become the impossible. Would there ever be one worthy of taking his throne? Maybe, and Sujin had eternity to search out the one that would finally end him. Yes, that was his one true goal. True he would see his city, his people and his clan prosper throughout time, but sooner or later time would erode them away to nothingness. Preah, Dian di Vakati, the entirety of his empire would be buried under the sand, turning from fact, to legend, to myth and then finally forgotten. But he would still stand... and death would be the last challenge for this Warrior whom had no limits to surpass. However, much to his surprise, he had gotten a challenge from someone. Formal at that, letter slap of the glove the whole 9. It... interested him to a great degree that there was actually someone out there other than gods and guardians that had the gall to challenge the Emperor of Fire himself. So without waiting, or even returning the letter with an “I accept” Sujin took off from his castle in Cloudsweeps and made a beeline for the location the duel would be held. Apparently the one whom challenged him, this Andumi had a plan or two that he thought would give him a great advantage... or so he thought. Sujin had no limits, and excelled at adapting and utterly crushing all who stood before him with sheer might. The sun at his back, a shape appeared, outlined on the clouds themselves. A massive form, with wings nigh 3 times larger than the body of the beast itself. This giant thing was Sujin, the King of Dragons in all his glory. The true form of the man whom ruled Cloudsweeps, the most violent and savage land in all of Avalon. From the clouds cut his dull crimson form, Colossal by all rights and it seemed he was only getting bigger as he closed in on the location... a city... raised high on a plateau. Closer he grew as finally his entirety was free of the sky and the clouds above. His frame, so massive that the entire area that sat the city grew darker and darker, as if night had befallen. The Colossal red dragon floated slower still until the sky itself erupted in ebon flames swallowing whole the form of the Sujin. As the flames flickered and dissipated that once giant dragon turned into a man, clad in crimson robes and a mane of golden hair. Down did he fall into the center of the city itself, landing with a loud “crash.” Announce himself he wouldn't need to. No, this Andumi would feel him, and if he couldn't there was no way in hell he missed the grand ass entrance he just gave. |

Andumi felt the presence of his opponent long before he saw him. And thanks to his high vantage point and superior vision, he saw him from quite a ways away. "Marvelous....A Colossal Red Dragon Lord....but his flame is black...most unusual...No matter. I suppose he wants to fight now, then, rather than exchange pleasantries. Very well then." Andumi commented to himself. Then he saw where Sujin had landed. He grinned. Of course. The dragon's eagerness for battle had made him complacent. It was only natural that he'd land there, and Andumi, knowing full well that only the Garden of Life, the center of the city, was able to contain a landing dragon, had filled the spellcasting area in the middle with....special...sand. Of course, he wouldn't cheat, oh no. No, he would play fair with this one. Sort of. Shrugging his shoulders and sighing, he brushed a nearby glyph, glowing blue at his touch, and etched into the stone. There were thousands of such similar glyphs dotted on almost every surface, and they were attuned to only his touch. Naturally, they performed automated tasks and allowed Andumi to control all aspects of his city from any terminal. He raised the drawbridge, now an unnecessary decoration, apparently, and activated the magical dampening field that was part of the city's innate spell-form. It would lessen the magical abilities of an enemy tremendously, rendering even most archmages little more than parlor-trick charlatans when under the field. Of course, as his ability was far from magic, he wasn't affected. Though he had taken the time out to learn some of this world's arcane secrets, he wouldn't be so careless as to rely too much on them, despite the fact that they would be hightened tremendously. Then again, perhaps he should keep the full details of what he could really do concealed until the last possible moment. "Enlightenment of Sorrow. Activate full sensory sweeps of the city, with special attention payed to my guest and me. Give me periodic updates on changes in the flow of his power, and try and drain as much as you can from him without him realizing his energy is decreasing. Make sure you have all anti-personnel systems in place and raise the most powerful selective barriers you can around the city's key systems. If he finds out what I'm up to, he'll most likely attempt to disable the city. Have reconstruction spells on standby, and prep the gateway to be opened. If possible, send a message to the Protectorate capital of Atrea. Tell them an imminent threat may most likely be appearing within the capital itself seemingly suddenly and without warning, and tell them to ready the entire Home Guard. And the other 31 Wings, as well. Have them all prepare to rush and eliminate something they've never seen before." Andumi spoke quietly and calmly, almost in reverse of his previous apprehension. Now that his target was here, there was no room for fear, no time for hesitation. Several glyphs glowed even brighter and the light emanated from them began to solidify and weave together to create an amorphous orb of light, hovering several feet above the ground. This was the magically powered artificial intelligence that he had designed long ago to be his research assistant, and he had finally gotten around to building it and placing it in control of the city's systems. The avatar of the system glowed a series of shades of blue and green in response to his orders, indicating they were being taken care of, then speaking for the first time in a smooth, vaguely feminine, yet still androgynous voice. "Maester? If I may ask, to whom in Atrea do you wish me to send this warning -" Enlightenment! What did I say about addressing me with that title?! I am not a Maester; nor do I ever wish to be one. I am simply Andumi syr Reignas, here. And you will call me either master, sir, my lord, or Andumi, for the sake of efficiency. Send it to that odd noblewoman I met once....I'nara was her name, I believe. And sign it simply 'A Homesick Sentry from the City of Shining Towers'. She will know it is me." Andumi snapped slightly at the avatar. It shrank in size slightly and turned a shade of pink at being reproached, but did as it was told. "Message sent, sir. Is there anything else you need? Your guest is currently still within the Garden of Life. Would you like me to send him your greetings, and directions to your location? Or will you be going to see him yourself?" the avatar asked politely, causing Andumi's left eyebrow to arch up in amusement. "Of course I'm going to see him myself. I am the host, and this is a duel, you know. Your business here is concluded. Continue with the tasks I have given you. I will summon you when you are needed," Andumi gently reminded the AI, once again turning to look at the inner palace complex of his city. "Let's see how his manners are in person. Blink." he said quietly to himself, suddenly vanishing without a trace from his place on the battlements and reappearing almost instantly within the Garden. He was about 10 feet from his opponent, and he bowed elegantly as the black sand suddenly reacted to his presence, converging upon him with crackles of black lightning and clouds of absolute cold. Forming a constantly moving armorlike shell around him, it was utterly dark and devoid of life, yet Andumi suffered no ill effects from its proximity. Still bowing, he rose and addressed his guest with absolute politeness."Welcome, Lord of Flames, Sujin. I am Andumi syr Reignas, your challenger. I take it from your sudden arrival that you have accepted my challenge. Well, let me say, before we get started, how great an honor it is to meet someone who is named among the greatest beings in the world of Avalon. This is only a temporary stage, a pale imitation of a much grander original city, but it is my choice of venue for this duel, and I hope you come to like it. Now, shall we begin?" he widened his stance and summoned a series of phantasmal war hammers, all glowing with the same death-cold and negative magical energy as the shield he had created with the wizards' sand, for that was what the sand on the ground in question actually was. ((OOC: I hope this is still okay. Let me know if I've broken any rules or anything. By the way, who's going to moderate this so that we don't just drag this out, dodging each other's blows forever?)) |

Emperor of Flames
|
The immortal slowly sighed and took a look around, taking in his surroundings as a whole. This place felt... different to him. The magic was strong, as if coming from the very bricks themselves. Unnatural the amount of magic in this place, like the city itself was sucking the essence of life from everything around it, including Sujin himself. Though, due to his own power being sealed within the nigh indestructible flesh that covered his muscles and bones, the only thing this place was siphoning was the ink imbued with his blood that covered his flesh. As such, Sujin felt not the draining of his power, due to the woads holding only about 10% of his total might. With a deep breath, the ever burning flames inside him stirred to life and the King of Dragon's readied himself for a full onslaught of everything his human frame had to muster. Although naturally weaker than his other two forms, especially so for his true form it wouldn't matter much because his human form would be enough to handle this one. Or so he thought. He had stepped into a giant and elaborate trap, almost as if built only for the purpose of defeating him, to crush him and knock him free of the throne that he sat upon unchallenged. Has this one found away other than climbing the mountain of broken bodies and dreams to challenge the Emperor of Fire? Or has this one escaped his notice and already stood as his equal. Ether way, shit was gonna get hectic. Blue eyes continued to search the area until a burst of magic, different than the steady stream of it the city was letting out alerted the Immortal to the presence of another. The one that brought him here perhaps? And indeed, his instincts were correct like always, and a man named Andumi appeared before him draped in some type of weird protection spell, the black sands scattered around his feet focusing on his person. The immortal cocked his head to the side, this being the first time he has ever seen someone bend sand itself to their will. Though, simple minded the Emperor is, he is no fool... and his instincts told him to be very weary of this one, that there was more to this, more to him. A warrior first, and a leader second, Sujin would not hold back as he too answered Andumi's bow with his own, sweeping over without a hint of grace or form. It wasn't that he was not use to bowing to others, it was just simply Suj was an awkward person, clumsy and backwards. The only time his savage agility and regal-ness appeared would be when he was not trying to impress, or deep in the heat of battle. An odd being this one, to command such might and power, his face although obviously showing signs of being worn by his harsh lifestyle his eyes... and even his smile seemed to hold a deeply rooted child like innocence. “Aye accepted I did, ya obviously know my name but imma tell ya again anyway. Warriors honor depends on knowing who killed ya in the afterlife ya?” Sujin said with a slight snicker, standing back up to his full height, removing the stray strands of hair from his eyes. And suddenly, as if without warning, that child like innocence his aura leaked shifted, as a heat seemingly washed over the area. The immortal appeared larger, almost giant like as his booming voice rang out once more, this time dripping with malice and a thirst for blood. “I am Sujin, first born of Sable, the 4th chief of Dian, Emperor of Preah, husband to Istelle, Brother to Rika of Fincayra.” His tone almost demanded respect, his aura violent and proud almost as if threatening to devour everything before him in a fit of burning rage. Soon however that aura died, disappearing almost as quickly as it had appeared... that childlike feeling returning moments after as Sujin slouched over, sighing as if removing a massive weight off his shoulders. “The rest of mah titles ya know, no need to go that far... too many nicknames ya? Anyway don't hold back a ounce, I'll kill ya otherwise.” The immortal giggled, obviously serious about the last part of his statement ready whenever to start this little duel and see just how high this man has climbed the mountain of corpses. So, for the first time in Kioku knows how long, the King of Dragons stepped down from his throne to answer the challenge of one who wished to take it for themselves. |

Andumi was a little perturbed by the masculine immortal giggling like that. It was an odd thing to see in such a grizzled warrior, to be sure, but in addition to such threatening speech like what Sujin was giving him, he almost sounded as bat shit crazy as Andumi liked to make people think he was. But never mind that. He had a dragon's hide to tan and place above his newly-finished great hall. But this didn't mean that Andumi was an overconfident fool; he advanced slowly, sending two hammers forward at a stately pace. Of course, he still had two others just hovering around; he swiftly minimized them to the size of a pair of extremely thin needles, each over a foot long and less than a millimeter in width. It would be nearly impossible for anyone, regardless of how good their vision was, to see them coming. And that's exactly how he'd win. Suddenly the hammers began to swing in wide arcs, their size increasing as they swung, leaving a deadly trail of cold and darkness behind them as they began their relentless assault. Then the true attack began. Andumi's first step onto the white sand was surprising, to say the least. His black sand suddenly exploded at his feet, causing the field of battle to be completely obscured, though the hammers still swung with impeccable accuracy and ever-increasing speed. However, the words "Oh, shit. Didn't see that coming..." could be heard from Andumi's general direction just before the explosion... Through the fog of the explosion, the two needles, made of pure darkness, shot forth at a blinding, almost invisible speed, each one heading for an eye of the human-form dragon. The sudden dust cloud fell back to earth just as soon as it had appeared, but there was no Andumi standing there. Instead, a pulsing humanoid...mass lay bleeding on the ground. Then, wounds healing with rapid unnaturalness, it sat up at a 90 degree angle and jumped to its feet, letting its shoulders slouch. "Just so you know.....I wanted you to see that....to see my......true form....but now....YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!! GAAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!" Andumi, or what was left of him, cackled madly as he summoned the black sand to his defense once more, in addition to forming gigantic prism-like hammer, roughly 8 feet long and 4 feet wide each, and connected seamlessly to his arms by a raging torrent of dark energy. Andumi's neck snapped back into place with an unnaturally audible *snick* as he lunged himself madly into battle, apparently forgetting all constraint, though not losing any skill with his weapons despite their size, not to mention the added difficultly of continuously controlling the other two hammers, still radiating a deathly decaying cold and swinging insanely fast and with deadly precision at Sujin's form. |

Ah insanity, to some it was a hindrance, to others it was something that gave them strength. Sujin was one of the few people that knew and understood that he was bloody nuts, but because he knew he was crazy, because he knew that he was unstable, uncontrollable and unpredictable... it was a massive strength on his part. Never did the immortal know what he was going to do until he did it, rarely if ever did he plan anything out always going on his gut feeling and letting his instincts guide him and not once not once has those very same instincts led him down a path he could not walk, or up a mountain he could not climb. And just like all his other fights, all his other challenges and all his other life or death choices... the immortal would allow that feeling in his gut, that voice in his head to guide his hand trusting fully that he was no man but a savage being, a beast that did as it pleased. The cloak and weapons made from that strange sand around his body begun to shift, launching two hammers forward as two others seemed to shrink and disappear. An eyebrow cocked and the immortal immediately squared his footing, widening his stance and spreading his weight all over to keep his center of gravity fixed. As the hammers begun to swing Sujin raised his hand to the air and focused his mind. It was a simple thing really... for all he had to do was “push” in a full wall, arc or fan of his person, many a time has he done this and almost every time it has worked, rendering attacks from the front useless or at least as long as he stayed focused. And who knew how long Sujin of all people would stay focused? Well for now at least long enough to avoid the hammer blows. With the initial attack blocked so far out of Sujin's character, the Emperor decided to go on the assault and almost as instantly as he put it up... that telekinetic wall that pushed away each violent hammer swing disappeared followed quickly by the large robed figure known as Sujin. His frame faded just as his opponent was devoured by his own explosion apparently. The Fang did not stick around however to witness what happened to him or even the surroundings, no... even if he was a pile of ash from his own attack... Sujin would turn that ash to nothing to fuel his ebon flames of rage and destruction. Like the monster he is, the immortal blasted so quickly through the explosion, his form seemingly fading from view as the nigh invisible darts passed through nothing... instantaneous movement was the key and Sujin was a man that could take an infinite amount of steps in the split second it takes a person to take one. Behind the reforming mass of flesh did Sujin appear, his right palm erupting in black flames as he released a torrent of flames in a fan like fashion, blanketing the area before him in an unforgiving heat, scorching the very brick and grass turning them as black as a starless sky though not ash... which was truly strange for normally anything that the black flames touch is reduced to nothing. Even so, Sujin was relentless as he closed the palm from which the flames erupted, clinching his fist so that the area before him every inch that the flames touched exploded. And this my friend was just the warm up. |

The black sand rose up to absorb the ebon flames, greedily devouring them seemingly without end to their hunger. Then they went for Sujin. Of course, the sand was scattered everywhere when the blast hit, and Andumi's reforming body was blown into shadowy chunks once again. But this time, they chose a new target to reform on, conglomerating on Sujin's arms, legs, and torso in some kind of sickening amorphous mold. But then it got really weird when Andumi's handsome face formed from one of the blobs on Sujin's torso, staring up at him with a hawk like intensity. "Very impressive, my friend. But you have underestimated me for the last time. Do you want to know how I got this miraculous body?...Kekeke...I stole it...yes...I invaded the host and assimilated his powers. Of course, they don't hold a candle to yours, apparently...so that's why I'll just have you instead!" the face cackled as the other parts of him on Sujin's body all rushed at the dragon's head as one, seeking any orifice they could to invade his body and crush his mind. Of course, everything Andumi was saying now was in his native tongue, as he had forgotten to concentrate on translating, so it actually came out as some sort of almost song-like melodic chime-speech, incredibly beautiful to hear, though it lost none of its intent. |

Sujin was, well confused at his lack in power. It disturbed him, but at the same time it didn’t bother him too much. Many a time has foes attempted to drain his power, to use it for their own gain and well… it always ended badly for them. The immortal’s power was boundless and when used correctly endless. His strength, his might and his magic bound to his emotions and the very blood that pumped through his veins. Mortals who craved the power to challenge gods, who hungered for strength for reasons for their own always decided to seek Sujin out, be it to gain his strength, or to learn from the greatest. But this one was smart… was it because of planning? Or did he possess an instinct like his own? Who knew, but if there was one thing Sujin was not doing, it was underestimating him. The feeling in the back of his head, in the very pit of his gut told him that this one was dangerous. But what made him so was yet to be seen, for it was not the obvious magical prowess he held, nor was it that strange sand that seemed to follow him wherever he went. Something was odd about him and until now, Sujin could not put his finger on it. His senses awakened sharply, and the immortal’s eyes focused not on one thing but on everything around him, noticing quite quickly that blobs formed on his frame. Without thinking and without even letting his opponent take the advantage, Sujin’s entire frame reacted. As if the very center of the explosion was on his core, the immortal let it rip, his very skin exerting the pressure to obliterate stone and brick as if it were nothing. And with this, the immortal instantly took a step back and readied himself. Instincts told him to be wary of him and not to let him do something like that again. Fine… guess it was time. The immortal’s right hand gripped the ornate hilt of the Ancient Bastardsword at his hip… Ashmorne awakened. |

Andumi's remains reformed, seemingly from nothing, allowing both black and white sand to flow into his body to replace organs that he apparently didn't feel like fixing. He watched the pressure exerted from Sujin's body and idly theorized seventeen different possibilities about how he could have acquired such strength. But he shrugged it off. He blinked, seemingly shocked, at Sujin's pull for his weapon. His own arm itched and spasmed as it longed to take his own blades in hand and finish this creature off in true warrior fashion, with blades soaring and dancing in a deadly array of light and sound. But he could not. No, he knew the source of Sujin's strength was also tied to his weaknesses, and so therefore he had to attack tactically and what the hell is that sword?! Andumi could feel the sheer lust for battle oozing out of Sujin's weapon, and he was hesitant to continue his "goo goo g'joob" routine much longer. Reluctantly, he summoned the dark hammers to his arms once more, also creating four more in compass positions around Sujin himself. He would attempt a 'relentless assault mode' for now, and change when it didn't seem to be working. Of course, this was all still playing into Andumi's hands, as he'd been using his power consecutively to both fight and power the gate for quite some time now. The black sand returned from wherever it had been blasted to and kept Andumi nice and cool behind its all-devouring shield. Of course, all this energy was also destroying the city, but he was having Enlightenment absorb the energy to help fuel the repairs almost instantaneously. He just had to keep Sujin occupied while the walls and stone rebuilt themselves silently to the direction of the glowing female light-form that apparently was the Enlightenment of Sorrow's personal favorite avatar. So he had the hammers attack all at once from four directions, while he himself jumped up into the air, and while in the sun's light, used Blink to teleport himself immediately down, to below Suj's guard, in an attempt to shatter his kneecaps with immediate devastating force and pressure. Not to mention the cold itself was freezing the air into solid chunks as the hammers swung themselves at almost unseen speeds. |

The she sword hummed and rattled, shaking so violently it threatened to remove itself from Sujin’s grasp. The immortal sighed, knowing full well that she was annoyed at the fact that he chose now to unleash her. Her temper flared and took physical form, crimson flames licked backwards scorching Sujin’s right side with her supreme heat. A jealous woman she was, violent and deadly even to the one she calls master. And even with his skin burning, the immortal smirked bringing the blade up diagonal across his chest, gripping the she steel so tightly she let out almost a moan of pleasure, and submission. “Calm ya rage lass… you’ll getcha fill now.” As if his words stifled her fury the burns that covered his right arm, scorching his upper robes to the point where they no longer existed. Ashmorne returned to his side a steady ribbon of those blood red flames licking around her frame, as if attempting to regain her modesty, keeping her slender form hidden from all eyes but her masters. The immortal grinned, his body utterly loose and to even a trained eye looked as if his defense was full of holes. Though this was an illusion something the savage learned while in the wilderness… to catch prey… the predator must sometimes seem defenseless and helpless. As Andumi reformed, Sujin regenerated from the burns on the right side of his body. The woads that channeled his power in human form pulsed and rippled, as if attempting to tear free of his skin. Hammers again appeared to be his choice of weaponry as the immortal grinned; he would focus the entirety of his abilities on speed alone… and let Ashmorne handle power. The attack happened quickly, but Sujin had a leg up on this one, well had a leg up on everyone. His body was forged in the fires of war and conflict, and even though he was not the sharpest blade in the shack his body knew well what it was like to feel pain, what it was like to move just inches away from a fatal blow. But his defiant nature screamed otherwise, Ashmorne rose to the air and a split second before the hammers launched the she sword reacted, the ribbons grew wider and an explosion of pure heat and flames erupted flying into the very sky itself scorching clouds and any unsuspecting birds and what not. “DEVOUR ASHMORNE!” Sujin’s roar could be heard over the screaming of the steel and her magical release. Regardless of the absolute cold of the void, Ashmorne harnessed a heat hotter than even Sujin could control. What she did was what she wanted… following Sujin and allowing the use of her power only because the immortal promised her battle promised her passion. Sujin delivered, welcoming her company especially with his wife away. The hammers blew away their absolute cold countered by Ashmorne’s unlimited blaze… a stalemate. However the immortal was not so lucky, for seconds too late his opponent entered the ring moments after the column of flames collapsed attacking with his hammer like arms, a crushing blow to his legs which sent the immortal flying backwards through a building or two until he came to rest upon the rubble. The rubble shifted, and moments later the immortal was stepping through rock wood and steel alike almost as if the blow itself didn’t do much damage to begin with, especially what it was aimed to do in the first place. “Good good, start’n ta feel it… learnin whatcha capable of mate… come come don’t disappoint!” The Fang spoke as he continued forward from the rubble, stepping lighter and lighter with each step until finally, he faded… disappearing from view leaving only a scattered cloud of dust in his wake. Within the time it takes for a man’s heart to beat once Sujin was face to face with Andumi again, Ashmorne already swinging around on a horizontal arc from her length erupted a crimson crescent hot enough to disintegrate even steel on contact. (( Sorry kinda got carried away)) |

(( 0.o;..............STOP DESTROYING MY CITY!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT THE CHARGES ARE FOR PLACING THIS MANY CLAIMS ON MY INSURANCE JUST AFTER I'VE BOUGHT IT?!?!?!?!?! OVER 9000 LOTS OF CASH, THAT'S HOW MUCH!!)) Andumi was impressed at the speed at which Sujin could recover and counterattack, forcing him to recall one of his hammers to form a tower shield to counter the raging heat of the sword Sujin called Ashmorne. The blade itself was a masterful work of craftsmanship and insane uses of magic, but it wasn't anything Andumi hadn't encountered the like of before. Then again, he really couldn't remember when he'd fought something like this, so he just let it go and continued on fighting Sujin and his blade, using his hammers much like a combination of shields and cannons, their rapid strikes and recoils serving to help keep Sujin at bay while attacking at the same time. Of course, Andumi lost his head for a bit, but he regenerated rather quickly and enacted Plan 5-B, contingency 46. After a particularly frenzied flurry of blows on Andumi's part, he used a combination of his rapid speed and Blink to teleport himself instantaneously up to the spiraling minarets of a tower, allowing himself to be easily seen in order to distract Sujin. Dispelling his hammers, he raised his arms and formed a massive orb of shadows, solid dark energy, and lightning, aiming it at the grizzled dragon's human form. But instead of just blasting away with one useless attack that would do more collateral damage than anything else, he diffused the energy in the form of smaller, but no less deadly, bolts, beams, and waves. However, they didn't actually look like they were aiming for Sujin. Which is exactly what Andumi wanted. The blasts hit simultaneously to form a silent but raging wall of darkness and lightning continuously rained down upon Suj by Andumi's massive attack in a perfect circle. For extra insurance, he even had a few bolts just go 'errant' and aim themselves almost haphazardly at Sujin himself, as if they were actually the only successful attacks he'd been able to launch, though their power was deliberately so low as to just merely splash off of Sujin's diamond-hard skin. If he was lucky, they'd actually do something. But he wasn't counting on it. No, what Andumi was counting on was the sudden binding chains of crushing cold, darkness, immense gravity, and all-consuming void energy that exploded seemingly from midair and the ground beneath Sujin's feet simultaneously to restrain his legs and attempt to drag Ashmorne away from Suj, and attempt to at least render its flames as a non-factor in this fight. |

Slowly but surely the immortal Sujin begun to feel his power well inside him begging to be released to devour once again but not yet, no not yet longer still must he continue to build up to slowly feed on this combat on this fight, on the blows he will take and the blows he dealt. This one was good, and whatever he was planning… he’d have to act fast for the now exposed woads on his body continued to pulse, and tug at his flesh. The Fang would explode in a brilliant flash of black and ash, destroying and devouring everything before him until his hunger was satisfied…. But when was it ever really satisfied? Ashmorne’s fury blocked by a quickly acting opponent, slightly impressed the immortal readied himself for a counter attack as he focused on just dodging allowing his body to do as it pleased as it remembered. Feeling every incoming attack, his instincts drove the muscles in his frame as his body continuously faded in and out of sight, stepping infinitely in the timeframe of just seconds almost effortlessly dodging each of the raining blows his sand wielding friend through at him. But as suddenly as the rain started, it ended and the immortal was left holding the back say to speak. Ashmorne resting on his shoulder as she continued to rattle and hum pleased with her master’s choice of an opponent. Blue eyes followed the form of the warrior whom challenged him upwards, sighing heavily, again he faded from his current standpoint periodically reappearing as he made his way up the tower as well, following behind Andumi. Suddenly as if in preparation for something he let off countless bolts of that weird energy he used as it rained down on the area they were fighting on moments before. Confused, Sujin continued to follow him though not too closely, as this one was shown to do weird things even when not cornered. Though, this little game of cat and mouse grew boring… and Sujin reacted. “Ravage ASHMORNE!” Sujin bellowed as Ashmorne was swung down from his shoulder connecting with the tower itself. Claws of flame appeared from the stone and metal, rending and destroying the tower itself as they haphazardly made their way to Andumi himself. Quicker still was the immortal growing bored with this ones tactics, or was it because he is use to those that fight him head on. |

Andumi cursed loudly as Sujin merely moved to avoid his attack. He'd been afraid of that. The Dragon Lord was simply too fast for a long-range assault unless he was in his full form. Of course, Andumi wanted very much to keep Sujin out of this form at all costs, so he merely thought of this as a temporary setback in his plans as he jumped physically from the tower just before it collapsed in flames. He cursed again. He'd really liked that tower. It had been one of his own designs, a marvel of structural engineering that he'd been musing on sharing the secrets of with the native peoples of this world. It couldn't hurt to advance them ever so slightly to soften the blow when the armadas of his homeworld came storming through his gateway by the millions to crush and subdue them. Of course, the profits on selling the patents on that gateway would be a nice bonus, too, but he needed to make sure that Hastily shoving his thoughts of conquest aside, he realized he couldn't afford to dick around, as it were. He quickly alternated between jumping and teleporting from place to place throughout the city, as if he was attempting to lose Suj. But he wasn't. All he needed were a few seconds of relative silence. "Enlightenment! Resume interface function now!" Andumi spoke aloud as he briefly made contact with a glowing glyph on an alley wall. "Yes, Andumi, what is it that you require?" the orb said as it appeared, though it was much smaller out of respect for its master's current status. "Begin activating the anti-personnel systems now. I want full aerial and ground sweeps. Slow him down and restrain him with overwhelming force, but make sure that you don't make him bleed. I get the feeling that his skin isn't just to keep his innards in; it's most likely also serving to contain his power. Just long enough for me to incapacitate him and make him yield." Andumi said as calmly and hastily as he could before resuming his maneuvering. The orb vanished and reappeared next to Andumi as only an audible voice, keeping up with his rapid movement and sporadic teleportation. "If the systems are activated, sir, I would be forced to reallocate energy resources from the reconstruction efforts. Is this alright, or shall I use the gateway's excess Shiva radiation and attempt to harness it into a compatible state with my systems?" the orb asked him, taking the rare initiative for once. This always pleased Andumi slightly as he watched his creation grow and evolve beyond the mere parameters that he had initially made it with. Not to mention the idea was a good one. "Yes, the latter. I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner; of course you can convert Shiva radiation into usable energy. Never mind the scientific ramifications of that now, though, just get on it!" Andumi replied, rather preoccupied with the next strategy on the list of Anti-Sujin Things to Try At Least Once. Turning swiftly to face his opponent for the briefest of moments, he teleported behind The Fang and blasted a hammer triple-blow at the base of his spine and the insides of both kneecaps. Not stopping there, though, he quickly teleported several more times at random before attempting it again from below, this time at his elbows, ankles, and wrists. If he couldn't just take Sujin's head off, then he would do the next best thing. Which, of course, was to render him an amusingly infuriated man-dragon flounder. For some reason, this imagery made Andumi crave fish all of a sudden... |

It grew tiring for the immortal to continue chasing this one around, so much so that he actually just stopped the chase to begin with. He was no hunter, no predator; the hunt did not excite him. No the Fang enjoyed it more then those that challenged him stood face to face, blade to blade, will to will. So, as the tower the immortal stood upon burned and collapsed, he sighed, resting Ashmorne on his shoulder as he leaped head first into the crumbling structure, jumping off a random support beam as it turned to ash following after Andumi probably for the last time. Soon… soon he will fill the fullness of his kei. His body, begun to float downwards as he plummeted towards the ruined ground beneath him uncaringly he continued to fall, feeling the muscles in his body loosen, his flow of kei condensing and then that condensed kei seemed to loose its shape… its form. Ah, draining huh? Good this one… to drain him for so long so quietly and he himself not notice. But… Andumi knew not what he was messing with, a true unstoppable force something that cannot and would not be stopped no matter how many walls you placed before him. No, he would awaken and Andumi would feel the burning wrath of the King of Dragons, the immortal without limits. Ashmorne sheathed an invisible rune on his right hand pulsed… as if it had its own heart beat… his exposed chest and back seemed to glow and ripple… as if attempting to tear themselves free of his flesh. Slow breathing as Sujin continued to plummet faster and faster to the earth below… only to be… halted by the wrecking ball force of his opponent’s blows. Hammering at his joints and vital points, obviously trying to remove his movement from the fight, he has done his homework… this much was true but he did not study, and with an unsurprised look on his face, a face not twisted with pain from the shattering force of those sand hammers he wielded with deadly accuracy…. Sujin continued to fall only to land harshly on the ground with a flop… smashed still by falling debris of the tower. How much time passed? Who knew, a few moments? A few seconds? Regardless… as the time passed… wounds healed and it only accelerated due to the mass amount of rubble on top of him… internal bleeding was obvious. But that heartbeat continued… too slow to be Sujin’s or Andumi’s, it felt… both natural and… strange all at the same time. As the beat pulsed… loose dust and sand shook in its wake… and all of it… all of it centered from the pile of rubble Sujin was obviously under. “hahaha….. hahahahaha…. HAHAHAHAHA! Try n drain me ya?! Lets see if ya can keep up with this den laddie! ORAAAAAAAAAAH!” The debris pile literally explodes, blowing stone, wood, and steel in all directions as they caught aflame midflight… turning to ash seconds after. And at its epicenter stood Sujin, his golden mane covering most of his face, leaving only the lower parts of his face visible, lips, nose, and chin. A grin painted on his face as the corners of his mouth trickled blood. As he begun to laugh again, he coughed, hacking up his own blood as it covered his face and chest. “I’ll show you why even the Gods leave me be. I’ll show you why I have no limits.” The immortal grinned as his right hand pulsed louder and louder, an awe inspiring heat concentrating on that very same hand. |

Andumi emptied himself of all emotion, of all other thoughts, of all contingencies. They were useless, now. Soon, he'd be forced to unleash his final ability. And he didn't like that one bit. However, he hated losing even more than the thought of death, (though it really wasn't fear so much as it was frustration at being interrupted in his work), so it had to be done. Time to break the rules even further. "Ah, so he's bleeding now. Well, I suppose there was no stopping it. I understand that the Fang Dragon is more powerful the more blood it loses. I suppose the only way to win is to bleed it out farther than it can recover, and survive the onslaught of the counterattack afterwards. Should be easy enough. Let's have some real fun, now, shall we, Sujin? You're about to find out that 'no limits' is going to be the biggest limit in this battle. Enlightenment! Commence full draining! I want Tera-watts drained from him every second! Send that energy into the city's grid and the control core! Feed as much as necessary to ensure the core stays running at all costs!" Andumi's cry could be heard throughout the city, despite the roar of flames and battle, as the AI appeared with a militaristic and masculine "YES MY LORD!" before summoning warriors, faceless and featureless, with appearances seemingly of liquid magma encased in liquid metal. As one, thousands of swords rose in their hands, and some of them even grew wings to mount an aerial assault as glowing elemental bolt cannons, powered by the city's energy-to-magic power grid, formed instead of blades. Andumi stood at the head of this army, spreading his arms wide dramatically to display the might of his city's defenses, when his weapons were dispelled and he achieved total calm. His face was akin to that of a stone statue's as dark energy encased his form completely, making a friction-less exoskeleton of all-consuming energy. His arms narrowed and lengthened to razor-edged points, and two more pairs of blade-like arms grew from his torso. As if to overkill the drama further, another set of arm-swords formed, this time from Andumi's shoulder blades, though he was totally concealed by the dark force. "Now, Sujin. Now begins the real battle. A battle that will create legends for whatever survives this holocaust. ALL UNITS, ADVANCE AND CONQUER! FOR ATREA!" Andumi's voice came out, seemingly from everywhere, filtered and metallic in sound, as he raised one arm and brought it down with finality, beginning the advance of his troops. A cacophonous shout went up in reply to Andumi's command as metallic voices cried out "OORAH!" in a morale-boosting fashion. The distance between them shortened in mere heartbeats. Behind the opaque, mirrorlike shell of the helmet he wore, Andumi only stared with intense focus at Sujin's heart. His heart, and the base of his neck. His blades extended, bashing away the intense black heat of the flame in Sujin's fist and cowing the flames of Ashmorne with ease. He was almost there. He would force this creature to either yield, or be destroyed. Just like so many successful conquerors before him, he would show no mercy to his rivals. He would crush them, swiftly and brutally. |
