Atop the hills did she go and atop the hills she waited. She was a fine witch but she had found that she was more attuned to the lightning attribute. Wind and lightning are what seemed to be her forte. But of course, no one is perfect. So is her knowledge, as she still seeks to master her element. She waited for an opportune moment to master lightning. What better way than to face lightning itself? Of course, she knew the risks and dangers of facing such a tremendous force of nature. But the fruit would be bountiful. She had already prepared herself and made up her mind. Now it's time for nature to make its choice. To bring on the lightning and thunderstorms or not. Those are the choices.

"Its a tad silly to stand out on these hills all alone." Of course, the voice belonged to someone. A youthful boy around the age of twenty-three was approaching from behind, eyes closed as he grinned with his sword strapped to his side. Frankly, it was more than silly to venture out alone with no sort of protection, a little lady like herself could possibly go missing. And who would miss her? Probably her father, but regardless.

"Are you searching for something?" He inquired politely as he took his stand at the woman's side, his right hand placing flat against his right hip, his longsword dangling within the leather brown strap at his left side. Sapphire iris studied her under blond strands, waiting for her to speak.

A voice had made her turn around. She was cautious of course and if she deemed the intruder to her safe haven a threat then she won't hesitate to use force. This witch however, wasn't one that would strike first before asking questions. The tome she had held with both her hands had sprung open. The gesture was like a crossbow being pulled back. Only the trigger was left before any show of violence would ensue.

"Who is there?" She had called out. Was it an animal? Highly doubtful. It was more likely a man. "No, I am not searching for something. Is there something I can help you with?"

Whoa, did this chick give off hostile vibes or what? Well, it wasn't 'vibes', but more so Mercutio's empathy scanning her completely. He frowned a bit as he waved his left hand towards her, obviously trying to show that he meant no harm. "Really, if I wanted to harm you I could have just cut your head off a second earlier." It was true. He wasn't one to play around with his targets if in a fight, and would normally go for the quickest way to kill a person.

"Just making sure you're fine. As I said, its dangerous to be out here all alone, especially a low-class mage as yourself." He deducted this from the way she acted, any 'veteran' magician would have cloaked her intent to kill, and be a tad more confident.

"I'm a Knight of Fincayra. Its my duty to make sure the citizens are well."

Low-class mage? The nerve! being called a simple mage and a low class one at that too! There nerve of this person. Knight or not, this person was very offending in his words. It was dangerous that was why she had taken the precautions. This man was contradicting every word he said! And he called her a low-class mage.

"A knight would behave in a more subtle manner and not rude towards people they deem in distress," She replied in a calmer and monotonous voice. "I do not need your aid. I can handle myself. And for your information, I am a witch. I am no mage."

"I see." He muttered softly. "In that case, I will take you back to the Castle." His movements would be swift and precise, sword flicking out over the closed distance , attempting to slash his blade upwards into the backside of the book and smack it away. Due to their close positions, seconds was only needed to ensure of his own safety. And with his blade having possibly deflected the book away, the tip of the weapon would be pointed towards the neck of his 'criminal.'

"Witchcraft is condemned by many to be an art of satan himself. I cannot allow you to roam freely as a sorceress of destruction. We will allow Queen Rika to deal with you, and judge you how she desires."

Surely, this was for the benefit of Fincayra.

Her tome, her valuable tome was simply set aside like a mere book! And then she had heard an outrageous remark. Witchcraft was condemned? Oh, the nerve. She had come to Fincayra because it was known for its knowledge (in the libraries of course) or magic and sorcery. Yet, this man was now saying that witchcraft is condemned. Oh, the hypocrisy! The tome lay open on the book. While Nyx was not one to use violent methods, this incident was uncalled for. Some pages of the book scattered and flew into a spiral around them. A blade on her neck? She had blades ready to attack all around them. And by no means was she a low-class witch AT ALL. Even if he were to strike her, it would not be faster than her invoking of the spell. Same speed perhaps but she had better chances in this. "I'd put that sword away if I were you."

Narrowed eyes was set upon her, not taking kindly to the insults. Surely, she didn't assume him to be daft? He could tell her raging hatred and anger, as well as rising blood thirst meant an incoming attack- but from where? Certainly not the book, right? Though he couldn't be careless. A sudden thrust of his left hand would aim to smash directly into his chest, hopefully stunning her at the unpredicted attack as he swiftly began building his defenses, eyes upon her intently.

"Whatever you're up to, I'm completely ready."

"Let the descending wind be as wall," Nyx mouthed as she jumped back, taking the best to dodge out of the situation. Blade like winds went towards her attacker's general direction. She jumped back but she was a bit slow. She wasn't very much of a fighter in the physical realm and if he had thrust his blade, he would have made a gash on her arm.
