Fibar walked along the water side, his coat pulled tightly about him, it was cooler today and the wind was whipping up around him. His breath was clearly visible before him. His reflection mirrored him in the glassy pools as he walked. wouldnt be long now till he reached the healing town. The main appeal it had to him was that it was free. Pausing for a moment he took in the scenery around him, strange to think about times gone by - Gods fighting. He wondered if the stories about this place were true, it would seem that anything in Avalon was possible, he himself was proof of that. Hmm what would he do first, buy himself a hot meal and a pint, or book himself a bed for the night? He shrugged what did it matter, he could decide that when he got there. He smirked to himself, Pip was determined to stay within the shelter of his bag, even the ferret thought it was cold. Once again he continued on his way - but was that a figure up ahead? |

Peaceful, tranquil and...downright boring. Yes, it was boring. Xir wanted action, adventure and all those things that are more exciting. True, he also needs to have some rest and peace and quiet but right now, he wanted to do something. Something that would not bore him out of his mind. And so he did. He started to brew down a small (not really) ice storm. He had toned it down a bit so that the solid ice shards that would have painfully rained down had become harmless snowballs to unwary passersby. Luckily, the mist provided much precipitation for him to use and the snowball rain was maintained indefinitely. He stopped it when there were a couple of piles of snow around him. He took some into his hands and rolled it well into a nice firm ball. The first figure that he saw (he didn't know who or what it was), he had immediately thrown the snowball in their general direction. He didn't see that it was a man. |

Thwack! A snowball had been propelled at him from out of now where, hecursed in frustration as the cold substance found a way down the inside of his top and melted into his clothes. He was so not amused. "Oi!" his deep voice bellowed out in the direction that the ball had come from. Furious he marched forward until the outline that he'd seen earlier became more solid, revealing itself to be a boy roughly somewhere between the ages of 17 - 19. "Dont bother doing that again" he snapped. But the annoyance that Finbar had felt earlier faded as his eyes passed over the young man, he remembered being that age once, pranks made life more fun. There was a mist around them that he hadnt noticed before, hmm strange. The youths crimson eyes also caught his attention ... hmm not fully human then? Feeling calmer Finbars posture relaxed. "So then ... whats your name? - Dont you have something better to be doing than playing pranks?" Pip, disturbed by the commotion, and the bits of snow that had seeped through inot the bag, poked his furry little head out of the back and gazed at the boy curiously. |

He felt that the man he had hit (oh, it was a man!) was annoyed by his actions. Of course, it was no surprise to Xir. Many people he have played with or pulled pranks on were annoyed. Sometimes it was fun that things were like that. People in rage tend to be funny when they end up doing something foolish. Of course, he found it fun. His sense of humor differs slightly from other people but...to each is his own. He skipped as he walked towards the man and held a snowball behind him. He tilted his head as he looked at the man that had been hit directly by the snowball. Something seemed off about him. Something strange but he couldn't quite pinpoint it yet. And so, to answer the question if he has anything better to do than pull pranks, he answered. "Nope," And smacked the snowball right in the face of the man before fleeing and putting up a small snow fort, a bit quickly too. |

Finbar wiped the freezing snow from his face, ooo if he ever got his hands on that wretched kid he'd .... no, no he'll not get angry, anger at times is unhealthy and pointless. Besides he was a little too old for engaging himself in an out and out snowball war, he had business to settle. Resisting the urge to chase after the boy shouting a string of vile curses, he instead turned and walked away. Dinner and a warm bed werent too far away, if the boy wanted to act like that then fine, but he didnt have time for companions right now anyway. Or at least not ones like that. He was that busy thinking that he practically walked into the two men heading in the opposite direction. He paused and watched them go by, wondering how long it'd take the kid to push his luck, he shrugged and carried on, not his problem. Two minutes later and he was on his way back, he sighed both the men were starting a commotion, he wasnt sure if the red eyed youth had started it, or if they'd simply stumbled upon him, but still for some bizarre reason he felt inclined to help. Damned good intentions. Getting a little closer he bellowed over to the men, "Oi, didn't anybody tell you that its only cowards who pick fights with boys," well that sure got their attention ... crap, now what. |

Well, two more people got plowed with snowballs. KAPOW! Fun fun fun! At least, for Xir it was. Unfortunately, these men weren't too keen to have someone chuck snowballs at them. Blades were drawn. What? Did they think they can scare him off? No way. He may be a boy, but he can fight like a monster. Well, he plays around most of the time. He didn't want to get too serious. Last time...it wasn't a pretty sight. He just smiled and chucked more snowball before running behind his forth. Yes, it was child's play. But Xir enjoyed it more when the people he plays with are pissed and annoyed. Oh, joy. Well, his horsing around sure as well pissed them off. He expects them to lose their temper or attack sooner than later. It would be fun to thrash them around bit and not being serious about it. "Wimps! Haha!" |

Eurgh, Kids. He sighed and refrained from putting his face into his palm. The kids taunt had simply enraged the two men further. He folded his arms and scowled at the boy disaprovingly. The two strangers hesitated or a moment, unsure on who to take their anger out on. It had been the youth who'd enraged them, but the man had called their bluff, theyd look like cowards if they started on the boy, so instead they turned and headed over to Finbar. The salamander, watched them in annoyance. He let his hands flame, seeing the look of confusion on ther face , at his fiery hands made him smile. "I wouldnt come any closer if I were you, leave me .... and the boy, and be about your business" he all but growled, his voice low and menacing. He didnt want to resort to violence, especially not over something as petty as this, but he knew he could handle it if it came down to it. |

Xir sniffed the air a bit and smelled something burning. He frowned slightly though he went back to pummeling the other guys with the snow balls. He thoroughly enjoyed messing around even though it was very much dangerous. Though, it was strange that the hurling of snowballs seemed to be getting faster and increasing in numbers. They would see though, that if they looked at Xir, he was not throwing any snowballs at all anymore. It seemed that it was raining balls of cold, easily dispersing snowballs. |

One of the men, after being hit by ever increasing amount of snowballs turned to hurl abuse at the boy, but what he saw, frightened him, it appeared to him as if the boy was causing snowballs to reign down upon them, and it was all too much for him, after seeing the mans hands alight in fire and now this, he backed away, preparing to run, he tugged on his companions leave, but was shrugged off, so he turned and fled without him. Finbar watched the man in amusement, coward, he glanced over at the boy, and wondered at his ability with the snow, it was impressive, but he turned his attention back to the remaining man, he looked uncertain, only a little more pushing and he too would flee. A sly grin spread across Finbars face, bbefore he hurled a flaming fireball at the dithering man ... that was it, the stranger took off again at speed after his friend. The salamander watched them go. Edited by Finbar, Nov 20 2009, 10:30 PM.
