Momo still was less than happy with the situation. Living your life the way you want to is fun, yes, but what did it say about her companion, that she chose to kill? Even more than surprise, there was the sense that she was not in a situation that she ever wanted to be in again. "I don't care how cold it is outside, next time I'm not following some stranger into a cave," she thought to herself, deciding right then and there that it had been a mistake to go with Ai. "Some drunk guy said I couldn't last a day up here," she lied, quickly. "I'm proving to him that I'm not afraid of some damn mountain. Fifty gold pieces for me, if I last out here. And I'm not interested in splitting it either. I need the money." |

"I am not asking you to spilt it. I do not really care about money. It never really concerns me. To shiny and distracting at times." Ai laughed a little and looked at the roof of the cave. "Well it is safe to say you would win that bet. The only way you would not last out here is if you trip on the way down and break your neck of get eaten. But I have not seen any wild animals up here save for my own. And they will not eat you unless ask to from me. And I haver no reason to have them want to eat you." She shrugged and looked back down playing with the hem of her skirt. |

Not caring about money seemed to be curious to Momo. Once upon a time, honour and goodness had been the currency of the realm. No more. Money bought you everything - life, death, and beyond. Without it, well, you couldn't get far. It didn't matter what you thought you could do, or what you could do; no one would listen to you if you didn't have any gold on you. "Whatever. She can keep her ideals and I'll keep mine. Morally, I'm still more right than she is, I don't kill people," she thought to herself, shrugging off her statement. "Good. Because you won't be getting any from me, and I really would like it if your animals didn't eat me. Do they all have names?" She changed the subject, to keep Ai from getting any ideas, or to keep the pair from fighting again. "I mean, I know that a lot of people name their pets, but all of them? That's a lot of names that you had to think up of." |

Ai closed her eyes and names started to pop into her head. "Rosuto, Safaia, Kage, Rikka, Densetsu, Aki, Kuroi, Karei, Gishiki, Kiaki, Kuro, Utatori, Akuma, Furea, Chi, Kowaii, Chibi, and Ko-Raru. Those are all my animals. And I am still gaining them all the time." Ai opened her eyes after naming them all off. "I am very good at giving them names. I actually give them choices between some names. They pick them and they stick with them." |

It all seemed like a lot of foreign names to Momiji, and to be honest, she didn't pay as close attention as she ought to. They were all foreign sounding, and she had no doubt that if she asked, they would all have some meaning to them as well. She'd never really cared about that sort of stuff; she didn't think your name determined your identity. After all, a name was just something given to you by someone who has only known you a few brief moments. Your entire destiny couldn't be based on that, could it? "Well, I guess it's just whatever you're interested in," she answered, shrugging. "So you talk to them? Or rather, they talk to you?" Ah, now here was the supposedly interesting part. Hopefully it wouldn't turn out to be a bust as well as the rest of this meeting. |

"I talk to them and they give me some kind of sign to go along with it. A nod, a light bite, a growl, or even just looking in a direction a few times then back to me. It depends on the situation to depend on what they will do as a sign. A growl usually means I miss read the sign they gave me. Animals can not talk.. Well at least these ones can not. I do not know about others." Ai shrugged again and looked at the animals in the room. |

Seemed weird enough to her. She'd heard of people in Avalon who actually could talk to animals, but that was for Ai to figure out on her own. She didn't want to be the bearer of good news. It wasn't her place to make someone's day better. "Uh, that's cool. I didn't know that animals could nod, but I guess they can. Pretty weird," she replied, looking out at the still steadily falling snow and sighing. If she didn't leave soon she would be snowed in this cave, and the sky was starting to darken anyway. It was about time to go, or at least soon. After a few more minutes of talking. "Anyway, I should go soon. Uhm, it was nice talking to you, when we aren't trying to kill each other ..." |

Ai leaned on the cave wall and watched Momo. "Alright good bye. It was nice not being hired to kill you." She joked slightly and laughed. "Good luck with the drunk guy. Yep, it was definitely time to beat a quick retreat. There was nothing worse than a delusional schizophrenic who happened to kill people for a living. Anyway, she would keep her opinion of Ai to herself; she didn't want to offend anyone. You got all kinds of folks in Avalon after all, and some of them were very touchy. With a deep breath, she nodded and smiled. "Yep, goodbye. See you around, sometime. And if he doesn't remember, I might just have to make him." With that, she headed back out into the cold. There was a long walk ahead of her, but she was fairly certain she could find some way to brave it alone. She certainly had enough to think about - dozens of animals, girls who kill people, and people who don't respect gold. It was a madhouse kind of world, all right. Momo was just living in it. {momo exit} |

Ai watched Momo walk aff and she moved to lay down in the cave. Looking up at the top of the cave Ai sighed slightly closing her eyes. "Mabye it is time for a nap or something." Opening one eye she looked at her animals seeing some of them asleep. "Yep defenitly time for a nap." She closed her eye with a yawn and drifted off to sleep. (OOC guess it is over huh.) |
