Reiku couldn't contain his joy. Even though he was a homunculus, he was able to pregnate the woman he loved so much. He went close to her and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. He smiled and held on to her hand, letting go only when she had slipped off her dress and showed him her stomach. His hands were placed on where their child would be. His right hand went over her left and held on to it tightly. He moved closer to her and kissed her cheek as he rubbed her stomach in a circular motion. He smiled and kissed her cheek again, so happy about the news of her pregnancy.
"I love you so much, my love, my darling, my sweetheart," Even his words expressed much of the joy he felt. He can't contain himself. He pulled her close and kissed her so tenderly. "I love you, so much. Adri..." There were tears in his eyes. Tears of pure joy and happiness. It seemed like the happiest moment in his life. So much bliss that he was already crying a river.

"I love you too, Reiku... so very, very much...." Adriana licked his tears away happily and moved to lie beside him on the bed where she sighed happily. Pleased with life at the moment. She was still cuddling close to Reiku, pleased with how happy he was. "You know, love......"she began. Pausing a moment to look around the room they were in.
"I was born in this bed...." She said smiling at him. "And from what Mother says, born and concieved.... right here in this very bed, Mother had an affair on Father because well, they were merely engaged but she was already living with him and she wanted a wild love of her own tht her parents had not picked out for her..."
It sounded a lot like her mother, Adri thought. Mother never did like being told what to do... not until Father 'trained' her of a wife's honest duties.

"I feel guilty..." Reiku told her, closing his eyes when he felt her lick his tears affectionately. "I have affairs and there are more than one other personality inside my head. Each wanting another lover," He sniffled and embraced her tightly, wishing he can make right of things. He kissed her cheek softly several times, wanting to make it up for the times that he was with another woman and not her. Oh, he loved her so. He wanted to make her feel that he loved her the most for he truly did. "My darling, I love you so much. I love you with all my heart."
He pulled her to him, laying her head on his chest. He kissed her hair and stroked her back. "Is there anything I can do for you today, my love? Anything. Anything at all."

Adri thought a moment, "No darling... well, I mean, unless you wish to tell me how you would like our wedding?" She giggled. "I mean, we decided that we would be wed after we met my family and we have met them.... who shall we invite, darling dearest? Where shall it be and what shall it be like?"
She smiled. They would be wed soon.... but where would she get a wedding dress to fit her growing belly? Her mother had already had a dress that she wanted to make for Adri and then she wanted to get Adri one for the wedding but she wanted the wedding to be soon... she didn't want to marry Reiku with her stomach large even if it was their child in her womb... she wanted to be beautiful, just like she had always imagined.... Yet who all would they invite? She of course would invite her biological father and any family from his side.... and her dearest friends.... and she hoped Reiku would invite some of his friends as well, but she was sure he would invite at least one of them... She wanted everyone to be able to be there with her and share her happiness.

"Our wedding? I want us to be wed as soon as possible, my love. When do you want to get married? Or did you wish until the baby is born?" Reiku pulled her closer and kissed her softly several times. He stroked her hair and nuzzled on her neck a bit. He placed his hand on her tummy and rubbed on it. Their baby. Their child. He was nervous, thinking it wasn't possible but here they were, him with his wife pregnant of their child. Everything felt so right for the two of them as they lay there together.
"Have you have a gown already, my love? I'd love to see you in it," He told her and leaned closer, placing a soft kiss on her lips. He sat up and cuddled her in his arms, carrying her in a bridal carry. He snuggled her into his chest and nuzzled on her hair. "I'd get married with you anytime, love. I love you so much."

"I want it as soon as possible, dear. No, I don't have a gown yet, because I wanted to get one after we planned how the wedding would look... and you can't see me in my gown before the wedding..." She giggled. "But who shall you invite to the wedding darling? Who shall we invite?" she had corrected herself. She had initially said him, but the invitations would be from both of them because it was their wedding and she wanted everyone to be there...
Adriana grinned. "I love you as well darling.... And I want to marry you soon too.... Shall we have the wedding in Idia, where we first met?"
Adri smiled, yes, that was a good idea... She wanted to be able to see the people who were there at Raina's birth and the people who helped her through the labor... She wanted to see the people in the tavern that day... it was what she wanted...

"I'm not entirely sure who I'd invite, love. I don't remember much of my acquaintances and they would most likely be members of the guild or something like that," Reiku told her as he pondered about the wedding. Oh, he wished he can invite people that would be happy to see him getting on that aisle. By that, he meant those that knew him personally. Oh, maybe those people back at Idia. Back at where they first met...
It was then that she said she wanted the wedding at Idia. She thought the same as he did! Ah, he smiled, thinking that it was because of their bond as lovers that they were thinking on the same wavelength. "Sweetheart, that is an amazing idea. We'll have the wedding at Idia. I'll invite those people that had helped up back at the tavern. I'm sure they'll be happy to see what had become of us."

Adri nodded and smiled brighter. "Yes, I figured they would... maybe we could even have the wedding somewhere near the tavern, a park or something perhaps.... or even at the tavern if that would better suit you.... what do you think, darling?"
Adriana kissed Reiku lovingly and then got up, it was time to go back to the house and check on Raina, Adri hated leaving her alone... And she wanted to tell her family formally, with Reiku by her side. "Come on, love, we should go check on Raina. She may be awake by now and you know how she misses us dearly when we are gone..."
She got up and fixed her clothes, tightening her top. Adri looked in the mirror to check on her hair and then sighed, her eyes glowing with joy. Oh, she couldn't wait for their wedding... she couldn't wait at all, she had so many people to invite, so many friends she had met that she would want to share in her happiness... friends she hadn't spoken to in years... in so many years....

"Yes, love, let's," Reiku smiled and helped her up, helping her with her clothes. When she was dressed up, he placed a soft kiss on her lips and embraced her tightly, not wanting to go just yet. He smiled and stroked her hair and kissed her again. This was the greatest moment in his life. He doubt that there could be no other. He held her left hand with his right, twining their fingers together as his right arm was around her waist. It was obvious that there was a change in his actions. He was being more caring and loving, focusing his attention on her. At this point, Reiku knew to put the guild second. He would give priority to Adri first. The members couldn't do anything about it anyway. He was the guild leader. He'll just send them to some mission or something. "Feeling alright, my darling?" Adri nodded, "Yes, darling, I'm fine..."
she let Reiku lead her back inside the main house and then up to where they had left Raina. Raina was sitting on the bed playing with one of Adri's necklaces. Adri smiled at Reiku and kissed him sweetly before going to sit on the bed with their daughter. She pulled Raina into her lap and took the necklace from her, attaching it around Raina's neck before kissing her cheek sweetly. "Do you like Mommy's necklace, love?"
Raina giggled and nodded, twirling her fingers in the delicate silver chain and admiring the jewel on the end of it. Raina turned it this way and that in the light, showing her mother the color changes. Adri laughed and looked at the jewel, her cheek touching Raina's gently. She loved seeing her daughter this happy, she loved it very much. Yet she had already told Reiku of her pregnancy and wanted to tell Raina second. Adri placed her daughter back on the bed and looked to Reiku, "Come on, love, I want us to explain this to Raina together.... She should know secondly, before the rest of the family."
Adriana looked back to Raina who was now looking between her mother and father very curiously, wondering what they were talking about. Adri was smiling so sweetly, Raina knew her mommy only smiled like that when she was very happy, like right before daddy came home after being gone for a long time... Mommy also had a glitter in her eye, same way she did before daddy came home... but daddy was with them now, so what else could make mommy this happy? Raina had seen her mother smile like this sometimes when Raina did something cute, or when she woke up from a nap. Adriana sighed and then waited for Reiku to come sit with her before taking Raina's hand. She didn't know how exactly to explain this to her. "Punkin..." adri hesitated, wondering what to say next, but figured just to go with it and if she couldn't get it, then give Reiku a shot. "You are going to be a big sister...." At Raina's confused look Adri giggled, "Mommy and Daddy are having a baby..."
She then looked to Reiku, silently asking him to take it from there.

Reiku still kept on assisting his lovely wife. He couldn't hlep but be more concerned, more worried and more caring. Reiku vowed to keep on caring for her. His absences were taking tolls on her and he wanted to make it up to her, whatever the cost. He sat by his family on the bed, sitting beside Adri and holding her hand. as she had told the news. He couldn't help but smile upon seeing their daughter's reaction. But it was well that she was innocent. He didn't want her knowing much about the things in life until she was older. He placed a hand on Adri's belly and rubbed it gently.
"Raina, you're going to have a baby brother or a baby sister soon. So you should behave and help me take care of your mother, okay?" Reiku chuckled to himself, teasing Adri a bit as he kissed her cheek. He wondered if Raina already understood the situation.

Adri scowled and looked at Reiku, her eyes shining happily although her facial expression showed she wasn't to happy with that. "I can take care of myself, I don't need either of you to take care of me... I did just fine when I was pregnant with Raina, did I not?"
In truth, she had, she had done amazingly well. She had lived on her own and protected herself as well as build a potential home for Raina without anyone's help. Reiku had not joined her until the day that Raina was born. Life had been difficult the first few weeks but Adri had managed to handle everything just fine.
Raina crawled over and sat in her mother's lap, her small fingers gently rubbing over Adri's belly. "A baby?" She asked softly, amazed and curious. Raina kissed her mother's stomach softly and giggled. "Hello baby...." She then looked up at her parents and smiled. "When will the baby play wif me?"
Adri giggled and looked at Reiku happily then back at Raina, "In time, darling, in time..."

Reiku was a bit taken aback when she had snapped at him. She didn't usually do it. As a matter of fact, that was the only time he saw her snap at him. He figured that perhaps it was the mood swings that had come with being pregnant that prompted her to do so. He wished. He didn't want Adri to change. He wanted her to be the same loving wife that he so loved. He embraced her and stroked her hair, trying to clam her down if she needed to cool off.
"I'm sorry. I didn't meant to offend you. I was just worried." Reiku sounded a bit guilty now. He didn't realize that she'd get mad because of it. He was too deep in thought that he was not able to hear Raina. He was still trying to think up a way to make it up to her. So she wouldn't be mad at him.

Adri giggled and leaned against Reiku, kissing him sweetly until she heard Raina say, "ewww, Mommy....."Adri laughed and then smiled at Reiku. "I was just playing, love, I'm not upset."
Raina nodded and looked at her father. "Yes, Daddy, Mommy wasn't angry... Mommy cries when she is angry..." Adri gasped softly and looked to her daughter. How did Raina know that? The one time Adri had ever been angry Raina had been in bed, and then it was merely because she had spilt their supper and had to start over.... But, she had cut herself on the broken glass from dropping the plate then too... Adri sighed, finally just accepting that Raina had seen her angry once, but only once because Adri would never let that happen again, never.
Adriana stood up slowly, picking Raina up with her. She took Raina over to her vanity and sat her down, then pulled out a silver chain with a locket hanging from it. Adri fastened it around Raina's neck and kissed her forehead. "There, all done..." Adri smiled as Raina began to twirl the necklace in her fingers, watching the light dance on its surface. As Raina stayed on the chair Adri had placed her on, Adri went back to Reiku, and tilted her head in curiousity. It confused her. Why had he thought she was nagry. Yes, her facial expression had been stern, but there were no other clues to her being angry... And she had never been angry with him before, why would she start now?
"Darling," She asked softly. "Why did you think I was upset? Why did you feel the need to apologize? I wasn't really upset.... I didn't think you would take me seriously, but for future reference, I will never be upset with you... No matter what happens, nothing will ever make me angry with you." Adri placed a gentle hand on Reiku's cheek and kissed him softly once more. She left her face inches from his and gently caressed his cheek. "I love you..." she whispered. Adriana nuzzled her face into Reiku's neck and let her hand fall from his cheek to his shoulder as she sighed happily, life seemed so perfect.... so immensely perfect.... Adri didn't know how anything could ruin it....

Reiku watched as Adri took Raina to a chair. He was a bit worried. He had not yet seen his wife angry yet. But he had no wish to see it. He had no wish to cause it. He saw her go back to him and he felt her kiss and gentle touch on his cheek. He smiled and placed his arm around her and pulled her closer to him before returning the kiss on her cheek.
"I had thought that it was a mood swing that was from the pregnancy. I regret that I have much I had not seen of you. I had not seen you angry, nor cry, nor depressed. I had no wish to see such thing but it means I had not been home that much. It is a sad fact that I am more away from home than I should. I am sorry, my love. I love you so much but I am barely there..."
