They traveled in silence, with nothing but the songs of birds to accompany then. Clare didn't mind, she'd rather have peace than a fight. But it seemed she never got what she wanted, as a noise from the path ahead brought them to a halt. Her hand went to her weapon, grasping nothing but air. Her expression turned distasteful at the realization. She stopped before taking a step back, letting the monk take the lead. Clare knew he was capable of hand to hand while she was not. Though, she did glance around for a rock to use... She crouched in the shadows of a large tree, while the monk investigated the path ahead. A soft thud later and he returned. Clare already got a grasp of the situation. Bandits. "I can't fight very well with no weapon. But if you think you can handle them..." |
