The meat was taken, and Kaono finished off the pieces he was chewing on. Working with dung, although to his kind was not a “lowly” task, it was however a dirty one. I mean, who would want to eat some food after they had been playing in some creatures shit for who knows how long. So, with his hands dry, the youth poured free the chips and hemp into a rough circle in which he created sort of a raised platform by digging a trench around it. In these grassy planes, there where few rocks large enough to create a proper firepit. With the chips and hemp in place, and a brief few strikes of stones from that very same pack the chips caught ablaze and almost instantly they had a decent fire that would last through the night without having to check up on it.

With that his task was done, heading towards the river, far enough down stream as to not disturbed the waters and scare the fish away, the savage washed his hands free of the grime and dirt.

...without remorse...
Reiku coughed a couple of times before he got up. He took out his dagger, the one he had used to get him of the previous mess. Perhaps he can at least be of some use to them at this time (aside from intruder alert via FragaBalls). He took the dagger and eyed the waters, some dark shadows moving underwater can be seen. He tried scanning for a pretty good catch. He also remembered the bending of light on the water. He caught view of a large silhouette and readied his dagger, holding it by the handle that was aligned with his hand. With one swift throw, he let it fly, aimed a little below the shadow. Now it's up to luck if his estimate was correct.

Withing a while, the dagger returned to his hand, along with a fish that was flopping around, most likely surprised that it was suddenly out of the water. He set it aside near Koralle to let her know he caught some fish for them before he went to get more.

More than carbon and chemicals.
Just as she'd expected, her fishing did not go quite so well. At first she only caught a few little finger length fish. Giving up on scraps soon enough, she used those fish as bait. While this did aid her in catching two large fish, and another that slipped just out of her grasp, it seemed one of her companions had more effective methods. "Impressive." Koralle remarked, abandoning her own efforts and tossing the too small to eat fish back into the stream. She left the blindfolded man (Koralle still did not dare ask how he could aim so well while she assumed he was blind), to catch the remains of their dinner. She set to cleaning the fish while the fire was made up. When Reiku had caught a sufficient amount, she tossed the innards and various other pieces back into the stream for the animals to take care of.

After dinner was cooked and subsequently eaten, the camp was cleaned up and they prepared to sleep. Koralle was more than willing to take up watch again, but her exhaustion from the lack of sleep before prevented it. By the time she had later stirred herself awake, the sun had risen and the fire had burned down to cinders. As the group awoke and ate breakfast, Koralle took care of the fire and packed up her gear. They then set off towards the town in the distance.
