Earthquake? Thats what most people would think when the felt the seismic vibrations coming from the ground if they were near by. But alas they would have been wrong. It would infarct be the mere footsteps of the now enraged rock Golem doing battle with a young Tauren woman. " Back away please. I mean you no harm", the bovine female cried out as she dodge another almost fatal blow from the titan of terra! The girl had merely stumbled upon the sleeping Juggernaut while searching for a spirit of earth and had enraged him because she had accidentally woke him up. Alas what was she to do? She carried no weapons and was restricted by her code to hurt anything of the spirit world. That included this geological construct before her.

Taking another leap to the side she barely missed the Golem's counter attack which was a devastating stomp to the place she had just been. The ground splintered beneath his awesome might as it attacked. " Please stop", she cried out once again! Ameilia was now actually scared. She actually thought that the creature now was going to kill her instead of just being grumpy.

Braaj had heard the rumbling earth as he wandered the lands. It was a strange shaking at first, and though it would appear as though there was a minor earthquake, the young barbarian knew well that there had to be something more to it. There were too many for it to be nothing more than a series of earthquakes. Even without much experience of the world, he knew there were some strange creatures and happenings, and he knew that it would be wise to not expect the natural.

Listening closely, the young man heard someone crying out. What they had said or who they were speaking to, he knew not, but hearing this gave him a direction to go to find out what was going on. Thus, the young man began calmly walking that way, gripping his spear tightly. He knew little of the lands outside of his tribe’s territory, thus he knew not what to expect. So, to the wise young being, it was better to expect a fight than to think there would simply be some friendly creatures creating the ruckus.

The creature had not let down in its relentless attacks one bit. Instead it seemed to attack more frequent. It blows and swipes being aimed better then before. It seemed the thing was learning how Amelia dodged as the little hit and run session went on. " Please stop oh great Earth Spirit. I apologize for disturbing you. It was an......", she tried to apologized but was cut off by another thundering punch that barely hit her. The attack was so close that she actually rebounded of the golem's arm to gain some distance.

This was it. Amelia decided that she should run then try to risk her life anymore to appease the titan trying to kill her. So she took off going towards the east. She thought she was getting away but realized how wrong she was when a rumbling sound started up and got closer and closer. She turned her head as she needed to fins out what it was and saw the tumbling golem behind her. It was almost on her heels and ready to flatten her when she tripped on a rock. The peice of earth had indeed strained her ankle and caused he to trip, but it caused her to go to the right and the golem passed her up.

As it realized it missed the bovine female it stopped and turned around. Charging back at her, its large crag like wrist ready to slam her when in reach.

In the distance Braaj could make out two shapes, one much larger than the other. As he walked closer, the rumblings picked up pace, and from that and what he could see of the figures, a chase had begun. Gripping his spear, the young man decided it was time to pick up his pace. In an instant he burst into a run.

Quickly the ground between him and the two off in the distance lessened. He could now make out what the two were. One was a cow-like humanoid, and the other a great earth elemental. As he watched the humanoid trip, he knew what was about to come. Gritting his teeth, pushing himself to his limits, he caught up to the beast and its prey.

Sliding to a stop, the barbarian skillfully brought his spear’s front end to the left, then quickly slashed diagonally up and to the right, which would strike the thing’s right shoulder. Knowing that he would most likely be the elemental’s next target, the barbarian’s mind raced. Combat was nothing new to him, though battling elementals was. Always, they had been on his side.

The warriors spear just created a little bit of sparks as it raked across the granite like body of the Golem. A normal weapon like that was not going to be that much of a match for a creature of this type. Though the creature did change his target and made his way for the spear clad warrior, his fist propelling forward to knock out or crush the man. Amelia herself had recovered from her fall and stood up watching the site before her. Why would anyone help her she thought to herself? Coming out of her quick little daze she grabbed some pebbles off of the ground and tossed the forward at the back of the Golem's head to try and get his attention.

Belvaan woke to the great rumble nearby. The sudden trembling of earth startled the young monk -he leaped to his feet and tried to follow the sound. He picked up his only real possession, a small black box, and slung it over his back. As he exited the small copse of trees that had been his home for the evening, Belvaan saw the strange stone beast lumbering about. His keen sight then made out the smaller creature nearby. Though he did not know the circumstances in this strange dream-like scene, the monk began to run toward it with utmost haste.

As he ran forward, he watched the drama unfold. As he closed in on the great stone beast, Belvaan saw the spear-wielding warrior running from the other side. In spite of the surreal nature of this early morning battle, the young monk was excited at the oppourtunity to face such a formidable foe (or foes as it may be).

Fast and silent, Belvaan ran swiftly to the aid of what he now saw as a cow-like female. His mind was clear -his thoughts calm, though his heart raced at the excitement. He grew closer to the stone beast, though the spearman arrived first. As the sparks flew from the blow -Belvaan, for the hundreth time since taking his oath, wished he had his blades. The sound of the spear ringing against the golem was a welcome sound to the young Silver Blade. With a renewed vigor, Belvaan leaped into the air, just as the cow-like woman launched a handful of gravel at the beast. The monk brought his closed fist hard into the back of the golem's head.

He had been told, on many occasion, that his fists were as hard as rocks. True, it had not been other monks that given him these encouragements. As Belvaan's fist connected with the creature's head, he wished all of those people that had told him so were there to watch. If they were, Belvaan would surely have slapped them soundly in the face for such hyperbole. For as the young monk's fist hit the stone golem, he realized how unlike rock his fist really was. In stark contrast to the ringing of the warrior's spear, Belvaan's strike sounded like a stick of celery wrapped in ham had struck the creature. The monk landed softly near the back of the creature, his right hand already purple and swelling.

Braaj easily escaped the swing of the golem. It was lucky for the frail young man, for instead of hitting him, the would-be blow caused a wave of air to push the barbarian slightly. His eyes widened at the obvious power behind such a simple swipe. Another slash was sent at the golem’s chest, though instead of staying still, knowing that the swipe would do nothing, the barbarian began backing away, also knowing that in close combat he would surely lose. The best course of action would be to use his long weapon to his advantage.

“What are you doing?! Run! Both of you! I can keep this beast at bay until you are safe!” Braaj yelled out in a cold, almost emotionless voice. Although he did not know this strange being, he knew he could hold the earth creature off until she was safe, and then possibly escape himself. Although he was definitely not strong, he was quick and dexterous. Compared to what he had seen so far of the cow woman, he would last much, much longer than she would. As for this new fellow… well, as his swelling hand showed, even if Braaj’s weapon was not doing much, it was not hurting him each time he struck.

Belvaan agreed with the spearman -there was no way for them to win this fight. However, the young monk did not immediately turn to flee. As the barbarian began drawing back, Belvaan waited for the moment to strike again. This time, the monk would attack with his wit rather than his fist. As the golem began to take a step forward, Belvaan dashed a few steps to the side. With a sudden burst of power and speed, the monk slammed into the golem's foot -in mid stride.

Using the creature's own momentum against it, Belvaan was able to turn the golem's right foot to cross the left one. When the creature completed its step, it was horribly off balance.

In an almost jovial tone, Belvaan answered the barbarian's request. "I wonder how long it takes this thing to get up from a fall"?

The monk was ready to pounce yet again, hoping a second attack against the creature's legs would leave the golem laying on the ground.

The monk's plan had worked. The Golem's feet had indeed become entangled in one another causing a slight balance issue. When he slammed into him it caused the terra construct to fall backwards, slamming hard on the ground. The slam caused another mini-quake, shaking the ground around the party. AMeilia had trouble standing on her already strained ankle and fell back down onto her behind. Oh she was not having the best of luck. She just wanted to simply get to the earth spirit so she could pledge herself to i. Was that so much to ask? The bovine feamale got up, leaning all of her weight on her one good leg as she went. " I think you two. But you should run. This is my fight and mine alone", she cried out over the loud rumbling of the earth.

“I do not think this beast is willing to accept that now. That aside, you are injured already, and it seems to only be getting angrier! I can hold this thing off for you two to escape, so run now!” Braaj cried out over the loud crashing sounds of the rumbling earth. How he would escape himself he did not know at the time, but he knew he could at least last a while against the beast, especially if he could prevent it from standing again. Quickly moving forward, the barbarian slashed horizontally aiming at the bottom of the giant golem’s feet. The blow was well placed and had a great amount of power in it. If it struck, it would at least hurt the thing and keep it from standing immediately.

“Run!! NOW!!!” Braaj ran towards Aemilia with great speed. Quickly studying her ankle as best he could with his hindered vision and from out of his helmet, he knew instantly that she would need help getting away. Turning to the monk, he took a deep breath. “You there, take her away from here. I’ll keep the beast at bay long enough for you two to escape. I will follow after you have made it far enough away!”

A hand reached out and rested on the tauren girls shoulder. "It may be your fight, but from the looks of it you would lose." Said a calm voice behind her. Morte Rajin, the bootlegger of the Enchanted Forest, was flying overhead looking for a shrubbery what adds a deeper longer lasting flavor to certain ales. His search had so far been fruitless, until he saw this woman being attacked by a large golem. If it was a naturally born golem or a magically controlled one, that Morte did not know.

Two men had shown up to assist the girl, but they didnt appear to be doing much good. Hopefully Morte could turn the tables on this one sided battle...

"Miss, is there anything i can do to help? Should i get you out of here?"

Belvaan stood, slightly amazed that the creature had fallen. This time, he had taken the warrior's statement to heart...it was indeed time to leave. As the monk approached the young woman, he saw a stranger appear from behind.

Belvaan laughed loudly at the new arrival. "It would seem, my lady, that you draw many to you...even in a remote spot such as this. Should that we leave this place? Or should we wait around to see who, or what else plans on arriving? Perhaps a dragon would round things out a bit." Belvaan moves forward, his tone relaxed. His body, however, is poised to strike at a moments notice. Unsure of who to trust yet, the monk keeps his guard up.

The Golem seemed to rock around for a bit as it tried to get up. The Spearman's attacks doing nothing but harming his own spear in the midst of his futile efforts wound the construct of old. " Heh next time come at me with the intent to and ability to actually defeat me", the titan of earth scoffed as it seemingly melted away into the ground beneath it and was gone in a matter of moments. This site caused the bovine female's eyes to bulge. This was the one that she was looking for. The great spirit of earth to her people. She was almost to her goal only to see it slip from her finger's and disappear again. " Oh whats the use now. I seems I have failed my people", she replied not bothering to get up. Plus her ankle was still hurt so she would need to rest it for awhile.

“How have you failed your people?” Braaj questioned, looking at the woman again. Now that the threat was gone, he had a chance to actually study her, his poor vision having not let him do so before. She was a strange sight indeed. Never before had the young man seen a human-like cow. He leaned in just a bit closer to see her better, squinting his eyes a bit under his helmet to make sure he was seeing things correctly.

His ignorance almost had him questioning what kind of creature the woman was, but he held his tongue for the moment. She was injured, and he was more interested in finding out how avoiding death by the hands of an earthen beast would be considered a failure. Although in many hunts, the lack of slaying a creature was viewed as a loss, had no one died there was still a small sense of victory, especially when facing larger, much tougher foes.

Morte sat down next to the woman and stared at the spot were the earth golem had darted underground. "Seems its not just magicians pet then..." Morte muttered to himself. He looked at the woman again, at her pelt and horns, he'd read about her kind in a book once. A sea explorer had a fleet of ships and set out to travel the world. After loosing a LOT of sailors to the ilse of women and isle of harpies, he had nary enough men to run aground a single ship on an uncharted land.

There the man and his small band of men left were captured by a gang of half man, half horse monsters and dragged away deeper into the land. They were roasted and eaten one by one until a group of large ox like beast smashed into their captors camp, wiping out the monsters with a combination of brute strength and strange magics. More impressive was that they talked common, and rescued the men. The captain learned much of his saviors, they were a nomadic tribe of beasts, and worshiped a strange god. The captain traded what little spices he had left for a small raft for him and his last few men, and despite a small storm, got home and told the world of his journey.

"You're a tauren." Morte said, remembering what the captain told the world of his saviors. He shook his head when she spoke of failure, "The fact that it still lives, well, in a sense, only means you have another opportunity to try again." Morte extended his hand for a handshake, "My name is Morte Rajin."
