Just breath...
[Sid, I got no poly spell on right now, so you shouldn’t know squat about me being a demon. Kael, watch my post closer next time to see my timing. No problem at all, just pointing it out for the sake of RPing, especially since this story is gonna heat up soon!]

Thankfully for the sake of peace and serving the higher cause, butting heads would not escalate to anything past a few death glares and growls. In response to his clever quip, the tiger seemed to offer some sort of jumbled response, a passive retort without emotion it would seem. The demon would pay little attention to his however, the machinations sourcing from a simpleton’s mind bearing no interest to the youth whatsoever. Instead, he’d react gleefully to Roning’s cheerful expression, trotting over to the dragon’s side whilst giggling childishly. His left gloved hand could be found at the back of his head, ruffling his hair as he fumbled his speech, the once tough and smooth demeanor worn now lost under a thick veil of nervousness. Very few across Avalon had such an adverse affect of the demon’s soul, and although he’d be cold and selfish to most, those within his heart always retained his better half. The times that called for their meeting were rather unfortunate and series, but given their lack of commencement in their investigative efforts, the demon would waste no time in basking in his newfound happiness. Given the crowd size he’d opt to pass on any form of embrace or anything, but he’d still retain his signature warmth, his genuine smile glowing after each spoken word. As he carried on in the conversation however, the topic would grow serious and thus, so would his tone.

“Yes…I’ve been a follower of the Earth for a small time now. I figured that since I had vowed to use my skills to at least help preserve the place which I call home, I might as well get along with the one that has been hired to take care of it!”

“…but something’s not right; my fire’s been off lately, and the world’s just generally been screwy. During the time we haven’t seen each other, I’ve seem some weird…things occur. Best get your claws ready…”

As his voice trailed, he’d daydream a bit on the words recently spoken. He’d pay loose attention to the girl’s reply, but as he was still caught up in his own internal concerns, he’d briefly swivel in place from left to right, catching sight of any new arrivals and faces previously ignored or undetected. Once he familiarized himself with his surrounding party, he’d mildly turn to the one responsible for bringing them all together. The little one would be near the spiteful tiger, and although no sound came from her way yet, she was undoubtedly recognized as this new party's leader; would she speak of her intentions for uniting them now?

From my blade, you shall know judgement.
Sid's body twitched for a brief moment when Kael had retaliated to his connection. The shiver effect made his concentration briefly lapse, but Sid quickly regained himself when he saw that the lycan wasn't speaking to him, instead acting as if Sid was trying to dig the history between he and the demon out by force. Sid relaxed the grip he held on their connection, instead sending a friendly message through.

There's no need to worry, my friend, he clarified, I'm not here to read your thoughts for myself. I'm simply using this as a means to communicate without you having to shift out of your were-form. All you have to do is simply speak to me the same way you would talk with me normally. Only, use your head to do it and not your body.

As Sid attempted to speak with his old comrade, he noticed that the large silver dragon had begun to search about the area for something. Who or what didn't seem to be indicated, but it didn't take a mental probe to know that the Guardian of Earth had come here intent on finding clues toward the missing Guardians. Sid had brought himself here in order to aid those who were also searching, and so he made sure to check.

However, the Paladin could not sense any other lifeforms in the area besides that of Kael, the demon, Alezra the Chimera, and the silver dragon. But it wasn't long until Sid sensed another, more powerful, being approached, sheathed in a light that Sid couldn't help to ignore. It was Halli, another friend of Sid's, but he seemed drastically changed from the last time he and the Paladin had met within the ruins of the Floating Paradise. He seemed elevated, glowing with a power beyond that of even the Guardian herself! It was curious that this should just-so happen. It 'twould seem that one of his friends had become a deity!

"I apologize Guardian. I have arrived late. As usual."

"Well, well, the great Halli of Valescovia graces us with his presence", called Sid as he left Kael's side, leaving their mental connection intact until the weretiger could reply, and strode toward the other Holy Knight. "It is truly good to see you, my friend", grunted Sid as he came close and offered his hand to Halli, patting his friend on the back as he did so.

She didn't know much about mind reading, and old feuds, and enough dragons to shake a stick at. The guardian only knew one thing... They were wasting time! Even the usually passive and calm guardian was growing antsy and discomforted. And it didn't take a psychic to see that! Her hand would withdraw from the weretiger's fur as she stood straight and tall. "Enough!" She would flail her hands wildly for a moment before recomposing herself. After a brief pause she would tug at her ears before a sigh of resolution. It was easy to see, all this trouble with the missing guardians and the elements out of whack were putting the young guardian all out of sorts.

And this, of course, was not a very good thing. She was the only one left, and she felt as if she had to keep everything in check by herself. It was pressure enough for anybody, and if she failed ... who knew what would happen. There was a very real chance if she did not keep herself together, nothing would ever be righted. With the condition of guardians being what they were, of there being only one who lived in the middle of a desert, few spoke of the guardians. The gods were all the rage, especially with new people coming into power recently.

Speaking of which, the guardian only vaguely recalled the man named Halli. She knew him to be a god, one of the new ones, but of what, she couldn't recall. Regardless, his presence did little to lessen the guardian's concerns. In fact, it made them worse! What a sorry state their world was in if even the gods must involve themselves. Alezra really didn't know picking up the slack entailed so much. When at last those gathered seemed to set aside their petty feuds and spitting magic at each other, the guardian finally found her voice. After all, she spent most of her time far away from society, in her desert oasis. Grand speeches were not her strong suit. And so she would simply get down to the all important brass tacks.

"No more time. Nothing here. Looked for dark temple, nothing there. Don't know about others. We have to find. Gotta go. Kael! Go find water guardian shrine." She paused for a moment, apparently focused on something she was trying to recall. "I know two! Waterfall in forest and pirate guardian have .. island ... I think. But you find it better than anyone!" Her words were quick, the hyperactivity of one overwhelmed and trying to get as much information out as possible and as fast as possible. Too much time was being wasted. This was one of those great urgency moments. It was not the time to be standing about being worthless.

"Adenon!" She'd look to the dragon down in the pit. "Go home! City need!" The guardian had not expected all these people to show up and so did not know what to tell every single one of them. She was not used to being the center of attention either. Not to mention she had forgotten the majority of the attendees' names."There is nothing I can do to stop it. Disaster will come, flood and fire and even earth shaking against my control. Nothing to do but get ready and keep people safe. Life God!" Yes, in her excitement she had even forgotten the name of a god. "Your temple good place safe. Can't save all homes be destroyed you can make temple good ..." Damn. Now she'd forgotten a word, an important one. One people had said about her shrine grounds. The guardian was silent for a moment, at least long enough for everyone's ears to get a rest. But before anyone could get a word in edgewise, she continued on. "Sanctuary!" Oh there it was.

-Edit-

I'm just ending the topic. No one is even paying attention to the event anymore.
