Desolation, so nice. So calming, soothing, welcoming. The green expanse of desolace stretched out before her, beautiful in its own right. Welcoming and calming. Dragons? Pfft, her own dragon, Jaxinth, loped along at her side, able to easily ward off any creature getting in her way. Not that she were scared, of course, having dragon's blood running through her veins anyway. She could, and would, take on anything if given the chance. No, tonight was for mere enjoyment, the moon reflecting off the of the grass so brightly, and off of Salem's pale flesh even more, her fair, ivory skin glowing in the night. She danced across the plains, swinging her scythe, spinning all the way, her raven hair billowing in the wind, her red dress whirling around her. This was how she fought, dancing all the way, and this, this was how she prepared. Whoever said combat couldn't be a work of art? Jaxinth flew protectively above her, swooping down every now and then to clear a dragon from her path, initiating a battle with each, battles he always won. Salem's crimson eyes remained closed as she went, the rest of her senses more than enough to guide her along any path she wished, and that she did, trusting her dragon to clear her path, trusting her feet to remain graceful, trusting her senses more than ever. The night went on much as this for quite some time, hours, perhaps in which nothing changed, she didn't deviate from her movements, her completely fluid dancing, her perfect body spinning, until a sharp, familiar scent slapped her nose. Wolf. She stopped in her tracks, eyes snapping open. Jaxinth swooped down to land beside her, sensing her unease. She hadn't smelled this scent in some time. A werewolf? Here? How daring... Something to investigate, yes, that she enjoyed. Curiosity took over as her eyes gazed across the horizon, trying to find the source. Would they come out of hiding willingly? Or would they fear the vampire better left very much alone? Her fangs slipped from her gums, eyes blazing with bloodlust as still their gaze roamed. Of course she would not drain the lycan, no, their blood was disgusting. But a kill could be fun, could be nice to get some blood on her hands once again. After all, it had been quite some time since last she spilled that beautiful crimson tide... "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." She spoke to the night, her bell tone voice ringing out. |

It was nothing besides recent developements that brought Dimitri here. It was the fact that he recently met someone in the Southern Lands who was able to communicate with dragons and knew more about them than Dimitri did, soon after this is when Dimitri decided to do some research on dragons, and he figured what better place than thier own habitat. It was an endless stretch of green grass and a few shrubs, along with the occasional tree. And there were dragons here, many dragons. He was watching one in particular, hidden in his full wolf form observing the dragon with his deep blue eyes. His white fur wasn't very good for hiding in green grass, but it turned out to work decently with the moon shining down towards him, as the glare reflecting off the grass caused it to appear white from a distance, causing him to blend in. He was observing one dragon in partcular for a while now, watching it's routine. But that's when he heard a voice that rang out. It was calling for someone to come out, but he wasn't quite sure what it meant, the question was who was it calling to come out. He decided to ignore it just for now and continue observing the dragon, it was interesting to him. |

So he wanted his identity kept secret, eh? Now that simply would not do. "Come out, come out wherever you are...: She cooed once more into the night, the thick smell of his fur choking her senses. Disgusting creatures, the lot of them. With a sharp nod to Jaxinth, into the air he leaped, wings spanning to take him over the Lost Lands, searching for his mistress's prey. The hunt had begun. Salem closed her eyes, a cool breeze blowing her hair about as that scent became stronger, more unbearable than before. Her keen senses picked up its direction with ease, forming a path straight to her victim. Perfect. She pursed her cherry lips, whistling into the night. With a flourish her dragon turned about face in the darkened sky, eyes following Salem as once more she danced along the plain, her blade slicing the breeze to pieces as her heeled feet took her spinning right for the wolf. One pause she took, in which her eyes, glowing pools of crimson in the moonlight, looked up toward the heavens, telling Jaxinth all he needed to know. He sped past her, following the direction of her steps to the wolf lying low in the grass ahead. The dragons surrounding them, as great and magnificent as they were, stumbled, frightened, out of her path, smelling her body, void of blood, seeing the fire, the hunger in her dangerous eyes. It took no time at all for both she and her mighty dragon to reach the despicable pile of fur. Maliciously, she cackled, the sound echoing around them, shaking Salem's tiny frame as waves upon waves of laughter escaped her. Oh how pathetic he looked, crouched in the grass, watching the dragons circled, now at a wide birth, around the two as Salem stared down at the creature, willing him with her eyes to stand and face him like a man. Or a beast, his choice really. "Well, well, well, what have we here?" She stepped closer, right up to his snout, slamming, with all of her might, the handle of her scythe into the ground right beside his face. Oh yes, this would be fun indeed. |

Dimitri was still watching the dragons, they were indeed interesting creatures. That is until he heard the voice again, and it was closer. He still wasn't quite sure what it was about, so he continued watching. That is, until he saw a dragon flying above him. Now he was starting to get worried, he was not prepared to fight anything really, and a dragon would be a major problem. Then, he smelled someone coming closer... perhaps the dragon's master, and that could be the person calling out. Unfortunately, he was right. The voice was calling for him. He felt the one that was calling out right next to him, then saw her right in front of his snout. Once the weapon, which he soon found out was a scythe, slammed into the ground right next to him he jumped back, getting some distance, and transformed into his hybrid form. He didn't have his robes with him, instead he was wearing his black leather armor, the full set. The boots needed a little modification to be good for his feet however, so they were more like shin guards. The white furred, blue eyed wolf-man looked at her, wondering what it was she wanted. He asked in a voice that growled in between words, and sounded rough. "What do you want? And why do you disturb my observations?" The reason he chose his hybrid form was that he did indeed feel threatened. But who wouldn't if they were surounded by a dragon and someone wielding a weapon, that was just slammed next to your own face... |

His observations? Since when were werewolves so inclined to study dragons? Most were deathly afraid of them, considering they could crush his skull with one simple gesture. She stepped closer to him, removing her scythe from the ground with such ease, showing off her immense strength in such a simple way. She wanted to toy with this werewolf, to play with his emotions, his reactions, his very character. So little had she come across such characters, such creatures, most fought her instantly, going against her completely. The vampire could remember, even now, multiple fights she'd gotten in with the hybrids, the dirty dogs that wanted her dead. Was this beast one of them? "So you mean to tell me, mutt, that you're out here merely observing creatures that could so easily crush, destroy, everything you are? Pathetic, really, to be so reckless, might wanna think twice." Yes, she was looking for a reaction, such canine creatures had such canine reactions. Anger, temper, always. Hopefully this one was the same. Oh how she loved to get a rise out of them, a temper, a flash of anger, of hatred, that breaking point. Not to mention the argument that followed. Twisting words, phrases, insults, this was her specialty. War with words, how she enjoyed the confusion that flashed through their eyes, followed by the anger, the rage, the fear. That fear. She wanted it now, wanting to see it snake its way across his...hairy features. God, how did they live with themselves!? Well now, that sounded like a right good topic to get him on. "Tell me, wolf, how you deal with it? Your own disgusting habits, your own gruesome appearance? Must be such a burden..." Her eyes watched him, blazed in suspense, watching, waiting for a reaction she wasn't sure would come. Hopefully this night wouldn't be a complete waste, some fun had to come out of it eventually. Ah well, if he didn't retaliate she could always drain him of all the life he contained. Yes, yes, that sounded like a plan. If, if, and only if, nothing else worked... |

Dimitri thought for a moment, reckless? no. He knew what he was doing, and how dangerous it was. He did think about was her next set of words, disgusting habbits? gruesome appearence? no. There were things in this world much uglier than him, he would know. He's read about a few... and seen others. "Disgusting habbits? I'm beginning to think you have no clue what you're even talking about, and if you think this appearence is gruesome, then apparently I've been around more than you." This was the first time in a while he's fought with words instead of force, especially in his hybrid form. He still felt threatened however, and it seemed that this woman was trying to get him to start the fight, or to anger him. He wasn't easily angered though. A smirk then came across his face, perhaps he could play with her at her own game. It sounded like a plan indeed. "And what about you, what makes you think you're any better than I? Simply because you have a weapon and a dragon to do all the work for you?" Dimitri smirked as he awaited a response, this could indeed to turn out to be interesting, turning her own game against her.
