Delphine had worked so hard to fulfill her dreams of opening her own little place in the city and now the dream was made real. Everything was all set up and ready for the first night of business. She didn't expect a lot of people to come here tonight since it was new, but she hoped those who came her came back again and brought more friends. She figured one way to keep people coming back was to have a lot of good liquor, interact with the people who came, and invent her own style of clothing that made her more then just appealing. All the tables and chairs were set up with a small raised platform for musicians or acrobats, or even contortionists or any form of entertainment to perform. She had considered getting dancers for the first night, but all she got was a group of musicians who played victory war songs and gypsy music. It was good enough for her anyways. She wore her hair up in a pretty messy bun and designed her own style of dress. Taking a pretty red dress that fit tightly to her body she had put a slit down the left leg and removed most of the ruffles and ribbon. Around her neck she tied a black ribbon for a reason only known to herself. Her pale skin stuck out in the dim candle light that kept the establishment lit. it was rather nice, a place people could dance, talk, listen to the musicians, or drink till they could no longer sit in their chairs. Of course Delphine vampire or not did not run this place on her own. Their was the bartender and a few women who she would consider something like a high class bar wench or a server to say the least. She also had a rather large man who could deal with any bar fights since she didn't want fights in her club. She wanted it to be known as a more high class sort of place but affordable. Because of this everyone who worked here had to be on their best behavior and of course all the girls working here were young and very pretty. The best thing to have when trying to attract male customers. A few were already there as the musicians tuned their violins and other interments. Some men were getting an early start on drinking and one of them seemed like he had already been to another tavern and was getting loud and rowdy. Walking over to the big burly man she hired to keep herself and her club safe she spoke into his ear, "Keep an eye on that one will you Mika." The mammoth of a man nodded his head and felt the dagger on his hip just in case it was needed. Delphine certainly hoped not, she didn't have time to deal with fights or deaths in her club. |

Alyssandra walked into the building, she was so happy for Delphine. Alyssandra had changed into a dark red dress, and had her hair put up with rubies matching her dress. She looked around and finally spotted Delphine. "Hello, nice place... I like it, its pretty..." She said sweetly, "Enjoying your ownership of such a wonderful establishment?" |

There were few things in the world that really made Vasily angry, and drunk people were one of those things. The Dragon Soul had walked into the place dressed to the nines, his black hair was cleaned with the best oils and left to fall around his face, he wore a black velvet jacket with a light purple silk shirt under it. The pants were a match to the jacket with highlights of dark purple velvet. It was not offten the Warrior got to dress as he was that night, when he did it was something that made his face glow like the sun itself. A man who, obviously, already downed a fair number of drinks was talking to Vasily in an overly loud manner, and the Twin Soul was ignoring the drunk man. The intoxicated moron was persistant, asking the Amethyst Archer if he knew how to fight and if he knew how to handle a knife. Soon the man puled a knife from a pocket in his stained vest and showed it to Vasily. "Y'know what I could do to you wit dis?" "You could do nothing at all sir, please put it away before you cut yourself." The man was stunned, he looked at the smaller man with eyes that were nowhere near focused and pulled his arm back. The Dragon Ranger jumped from his seat at the bar and slid behind the would-be assassin. Grabbing the hand that held the pathetic knife he twisted and it dropped to the floor. Vasily snagged a handful of the man's shirt and walked him towards the mountain of a man near the door. "If you please my friend, none to kindly show him out the door." Letting go of the dirty shirt he cleaned his fingers with a strip white cotton from inside his jacket, then fixed his silk shirt and ran a hand through his hair. There was nothing worse then messing up the only things that made him look like nobility becase of a drunken fool. After he had made sure he was presentable the Dragon Knight walked up to the woman who had talked to the Bear-like man jsut before the altercation took place. With a low bow he spoke, "I am sorry Madam, I did not think that you would want a man like that in a place as fine as this. To be quite honest, I would have hated to see that beat of a man in the same room as a lovely lady like yourself." With the last few words The Dragon Ranger lightly pressed his lips to the beautiful woman's hand, after gently raising her pale arm to meet his bowed form. |

Delphine greeted Alysandra with a kiss to each cheek, something commonly done in France. "Hello darling, I am doing quite well. Running the club can be...tiring, but the rewards are well worth it. A sanctuary for anyone who comes here, where...war and the troubles of the outside world are forgotten. It makes the customers happy...and me with them." Looking over her pale slender shoulder she caught the image of the drunken fool trying to start a fight. Turning around she leaned against the counter and watched as her bouncer moved forward but then paused as the man who was being pestered grabbed the would be attacker and started to drag the drunk fool across the club. A few chairs were pulled out of place as the attacker tried to cling onto something in fear before he was handed off the bouncer. With the orders given he swung open the door and with a brutish voice smiled, "Gladly, the Lady dose not like...lowlifes in her establishment." He only called her lady because she paid him...and she had a lot to pay people with. In fact she could even pay off the would be hunters trying to kill her guests. Delphine leaned against the front bar and picked up her glass of blood and started to sip it little by little as the heroic man walked her way. She let her pretty teal eyes glance his way but only for a moment so as not to seem...rude. As he addressed her she finally gave him her attention looking at him with a slight smile as to hide her fangs. "Well thank you sir...I do appreciate men like you who protect helpless women like me. I don't know what I would do without men like you...I am not one for fighting..." Twirling a piece of hair around her finger she glanced away as if to end her conversation when he kissed her on the hand. Looking back at him she smiled a little more and seemed to show more interest in him, "Not only a knight in shinning armor but a gentleman as well...oh la aren't I the lucky one." |

She smiled brightly and returned the kisses with the same politeness that they had been given. "Glad to know you are doing well, I wouldn't settle for otherwise.... I like the way you describe this place, it sounds peaceful... to some extent that is." Alyssandra watched the commotion carefully, seeming a bit interested. She always loved a good fight... but never indoors, it got to messy and she did not think that a 'fight' would result from this. She watched the man drag the drunken man away and giggled softly as he was tossed out. "Delphine, I think that one had a bit much to drink....." As the other man began walking their way, Alyssandra could see his eyes on Delphine. She elbowed her playfully, so as nobody but them would even know she done it, and winked. "I think you have an admirer of some sort..." Alyssandra listened to the man's words and then to her darling friend's reply. It seemed that gentlemen did exist..... or so it appeared for the moment. |

Vasily was caught by the beauty of the woman's smile, there was no hiding that fact that she was a vampire. The fangs that were just behind the elegant red lips were white as starlight, if the Dragon Ranger hadn not seen the fangs in her mouth he knew the smell of blood. Ignoring the enchanted dagger that was pressing against his spine Vasily smiled at the woman. "You have it all wrong madam. I am the lucky one, To find a place like this with a woman such as you. However I would not forgive myself if I left without knowing your name, and you knowing mine. I am Vasily Nazar, who do I have the honor of speaking with?" As he spoke he stood upright to his full height of five feet eleven inches, not as large as some of the people in the Guilded Admiral that night, but the Twin Soul knew he held a special advantage. For the first time he noticed that there was another woman standing close by, he had lost himself in the woman who owned the club and not taken care to take a look at his suroundings. "I am sorry I have not spoken to you, I just wanted to apologise to the Lady of the House. Please tell me what your name is as well..." Pausing for a moment Vasily looked at them both then spoke again."...I may not be in the area for much longer, but I never forget face." The Dragon Knight stood with his hands behind his back, fingers slowly sliding the paper thin dagger to the left of his spine under the jacket. He hated keeping the thing with him while wearing the velvet, but he hated not keeping a blade with him at all times. There was something telling the Amethys Archer that he would need it when he left the Guilded Admiral later on, the drunk man did not take to kindly to being pushed around by someone smaller than himself. |

Dlephine smiled back at the man as he asked for her name claiming that he was the lucky one to have meet her. She didn't know if that could be luck or a curse. Glancing at Alyssandra she seemed to give her a look that described that this man was rather interesting but that she didn't belive his sainthood. There was no such thing as a good hearted man. She had meet more then her fair shair of men, even those sworn in the protect had come to her and abused her. Ripped dresses...or dress since back I those times she only owned one. Bruses on her arms, black eyes, slip lips, or bloody noses. The noble were the worst offenders in her knowledge. Still she thought she would flater him with her name. He had asked her very kindly. "Delphine De LuChant. but sometimes I am called Ale...you know what, just call me Delphine." She almost let the name her pimp had given her slip. That was then, she was not the porperty of some petty man any more and she didn't want anyone to know she was that whore that had started out in high power and then dropped into the pits of hell. She could not express her hate for what happened. Her noble blood had suprisingly not spared her but had made her most populare on the streets. Perhaps it was the way men could feel powerful. None of that mattered now, that was all before she was a vampire. Bowing her head slightly she continued, "Vasily, that is a name I am not so familiar with, then again as you could tell I am not from around here...by birth anyways. I am from Nice, France...or Pari...either one, I had a home in both places." |

Alyssandra caught Delphine's glance and returned it. She did not truly believe his innocence either, merely because all men were the same. She could easily remember her father and the men he had given her to for nights at a time... No man could earn her respect in a few mere moments. She listened to his apology and cast him a angelic smile. "Do not apologize, it is naught to apologize for... it is very easy to lose sight of your surrounding when gazing upon women such as my dear friend. As for my name, I am Alyssandra...." She curtseyed slightly, hoping to maintain her usual manner of nobility even around a friend such as Delphine of whom she would rather be casual. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Vasily." She glanced at Delphine, then to neither one of the two inparticular as she spoke yet again, "Vasily is a unique..... And I do not believe I have heard of it either...." |

The Dragon Ranger smiled at the pair of them, and kept his hands behind his back. There was nothing like a small town boy meeting a woman that was as beautiful as the two that he gazed at then. The fact that they were vampires made them all the more interesting to Vasily. Carefull young one, small town boy or not you have thel ook of a noble about you. Nobles are the least trustworthy of all people. The Amethyst Archer knew that well, the blue blood prince he was intrusted to gaurd was the most stuck up snobbish person the Dragon Soul had ever met. Looking down at his atire Vasily sudenly felt odd, all to aware that he was out of his element. "Yes, I was born in the Outlands of Nothern Avalon. I lived there most of my life untill I was twenty four, although I have to admit I am not feeling right at the moment. I would like to go back to my room at another Inn and get the cloths that I normaly wear, how much would it cost me to spend the night here Delphine?" There was no reason for his unease, only the fact that his cloths seemed stuffy and unfitting. He longed for his cotton shirt and leather gloves. Being an archer he hated the fact that his hands were exposed, an unhealthy obsession Vasily was aware of. |

"I charge for frinks and for admission, and for the show...but never for room. I have a guest room you can stay in. Me and my...acpuntance have other lougins about the club. If you stay here you must know this Vasily, you are forbiden to venture into teh cellar. That is were I store my suplies...and my friends find comfort there as well. Best to leave them alone when the sun rises." She didn't loke poeple snooping around her club, especaly witht eh vampires sleeping in the cellar seperated fromt eh storage room. She had at least twelve coffins down there, and almost all of them were ful. She would be very unhappy if anyone tried to disturbe them. This was a sanctuary for them...and her, there were no comflicts brough into the club. If you had to fight someone you went outside where all teh damage could be delt someplace where she would not have to pay for it. Leaning against the counter again she smiled and leaned her head back a little keeping an eye on the entertainment for tongiht. "You know I had originaly tried to get some dancers here as well, but that did not work out so well." She took another sip from her wine glass and licked her lips. "They just didn't seem to want the part...oh well, everyone has a purpose don't they?" |

Alyssandra nodded at where he was from, no wonder she had never heard of him. She listened carefully to his request and to Delphine's reply. Yes, she thought, don't go into the cellar.... she was planning on staying there tonight and did not like being disturbed. She was quite sure nobody else would either once the sun was up. It was a death wish to disturb a sleeping vampire in the confines of their sleeping place. She looked to Delphine and nodded at the mention of dancers, "Yes... everyone has their purpose...." |

Vasily smiled, there was something about they wat that the two vampires were taking that made him think the wine in the glass Delphine was holding wasn't wine at all. Soemthing made him want to ask for some himself, and shock the women by drinking it despite the fact that he was human. Something else caught his eye, one of the people getting a violin ready had a purple one. Walking over to the woman the Dragon Ranger bowed and asked her if he would be able to play her violin for a few moments. She handed the warm, perfectly crafted wooden violin the Vasily. Resting it against his chin he stood on the stage, at first he tested his fingers and the bow on the strings. A few hesitant notes drifted from the azure blue instrument, then he found his magic and began to play. The notes that the bow struck from the wood soared from the violin, splashing against the walls like light from the sun over the surface of water. The song was one that he wrote a long time ago, over many sleepless nights. When "Vasily's Song" was finaly done he stepped from the stage and looked at the woman who owned the instrument. "This is a beautiful masterpeice of woodworking. I would love to buy this from you I don't care what amount of money you ask for, I will pay it." The woman was shocked that a strange man could play a song like that, and she stuttered her reply, "Yes, sir. My brother had that made for me last year, I'm not sure if he can get another one. However I would hate to see a man who can play a song like that go without a violin of his own. Take it, and all I ask is you pay me what my brother paid for it. It was four hundred dollars." Vasily smiled warmly at the young woman, "That is no problem, I will leave this with you untill I go back to my room at the Inn across the street and gather my things. I will reaturn shortly." Walking past the two vampires he nodded and exited the Guilded Admiral into the chilly night. |

Delphine was stunned as he started to play the violin. Her own fingers ached to play her own violin but she had left it back in her bedroom on the top floor. She had thought about one day playing it in order to save money on entertainment but she was not quite sure yet. It was more of a speratic thing she did. His music was beautiful but not quite the same as hers. She had more of a lively feel to her songs, but it was a beautiful song all the same and on such a beautiful violin as well. Its vibrant color seemed to make it all that more special. "Alyssandra...he has as much a passion for music as I do. Perhaps an interesting fellow after all." She spoke quietly looking to her friend knowing only she would pick up and understand the words with crystal celerity. Humans did not hear as well as they did. She spun a finger around her glass making it hum as her eyes returned to Vasily's. Once he finished the club burst into applause and she sat silent with a smile on her face wishing not to lose that hosts appearance. Rather she leaned back more and appeared rather uninterested even if she had been impressed by his skill. She could hear him then ask if he could buy the violin and smiled, quickly hiding it with her glass. She didn't want Alyssandra to see her act so infatuated over a man...especially since she swore to hate them all after what they did to her, but more so she didn't want to let herself...fall...in love. As he passed her and her friend she stood up tall and looked after him as he walked out of her club. She felt a little...saddened by him leaving but all good things must go. It was a creed in her life, as a vampire she had to learn that change was the only way to survive...and holding grudges kept you going. |

Alyssandra closed hereyes as she listened to the music,it was beautiful. "Yes.... that he does....." she replied softly as she watched him leave. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "He hasn't left for good.... he will return...." Alyssandra took a seat on a bar stool and smiled at Delphine. Things were looking up for both of them. Alyssandra's hatred of men was still there, yet it wwas not any where near as srong as before and she fgured that Delphine was starting to become the same way. |

The last thing the Dragon Knight did before he started running was make sure the door to the Guilded Admiral was closed. Halfway across the street and his velvet jacket was stripped frm his back. Bursting through the door of the Inn his silk shirt was almost unbottoned, and as he bounded up the stairs the strap of leather that was his belt was already loose. Once in his room there was little time wasted in ripping off the rest of the Noble cloths. Stashing them in the hidden compartment he had built over his many days in the inn, and taking out the outfit he had left home with. Strapping on the last bit of his Ranger equipment, his leather gloves, he was ready to head back to the Guilded Admiral. The Innkeeper stopped Vasily on his way out. The old woman's cracking voice reminded the Dragon Ranger of his grandmother. "What was all that my boy? There is a woman out there for you is there?" Vasily laughed, she knew every time he was doing something without his head. "Yes Mam, it's a woman. She's pretty too." The old woman's smile revealed less teeth than living siblings, "Well then, I shant keep you any longer. I don't want to see you back here untill morning." Laughing as he went out the door the Twin Soul knew that eventualy he would not see her again, but he had to leave something when he left. The thought vanished from his mind as he entered the club and the bear-man nodded to the smaller human as he passed by to talk with the woman who owned the violin. Striding up to the young girl and handing her a leather bag with golden coins, then after she had counted the coins she handed the violin over with a matching case. With a bow he left the girls compony for that of the two vampires he had talked to before. "As you can see, ladies I prefer to drees like the Ranger I am." |
