((I'll level with you. I did do a slight amount of "controlling" in that I assumed the spell had its logical outcome. I thought you would be happy with the "epicness" of the outcome. You seemed okay with it at the time so I left it as is. In the future, when you're going to simply disregard the majority of one of my posts, I would appreciate it if you would send me a message informing me if your intention to do so so I can edit my post accordingly rather than just assuming Shadyn continues on with this course of action like some sort of robot (ie "speaking as if he had already one the fight"). His eyes were on you the whole time, if you simply vanished into thin air he would notice and react as he saw fit. Next time, just PM me and we can work out inconsistencies if you have a problem with one of my posts, alright? ![]() Now then, rather than rewriting my entire previous post, which I very much do not want to do, I propose a compromise. Since you "controlled" me to a certain extent in your post (assuming Shadyn blindly carried on with the same actions even when you used your Infinite Step), I consider us even in that avenue. Therefore, I ask that we compromise as to what actually happened. A little of your rendition, a little of mine. Seems reasonable, right? Here is what I propose: 1.) Shadyn uses Gravity Control. 2.) Sujin feels its effects and stops in midair because he becomes too heavy to fly using his own weight. 3.) Sujin is pulled back to earth, Shadyn says his lines, and casts Meteor Strike along with his Gravity Control. 4.) Sujin is not injured by the glass, and uses his Infinite Step to avoid being pinned to the ground by Gravity Crush. 5.) Sujin carries on as specified in your post. It seems this is the most logical way to carry on our fight. All I would have to edit out of my previous post is the fact that Sujin was cut by the glass, which in retrospect I wish I hadn't included in the first place. I would imagine Sujin's skin is quite tough and would have crushed the glass, but I thought you would be happy with me making you bleed so you could be even more powerful. You simply have to edit how Sujin used his Infinite Step in midair to him using it after slamming into the ground. And to be fair, it seems a bit unlikely to me that Sujin was able to react instantly to a spell he didn't know Shadyn had until that very moment. In one of his previous uses of that spell, Shadyn crushed Sayle to a bloody pulp in an instant with that spell, killing him. Thus, it seems the way I have outlined is the most logical and dramatic at the same time. I hope you're okay with this :). I really am enjoying this fight, I just hope we can both compromise in this little disagreement and not be at each other's throats in any place but between our characters. In the future, just contact me directly if you have a problem with one of my posts. Savvy? ![]() For the time being, I will assume you have accepted this proposal and carry on with my next post accordingly. Again, PM me if you have a problem.)) ((By the way, your post made me literally lmao. Here's why:)) It was Shadyn's turn to wonder if this fight was really going to be this easy. The power of gravity was terrific to be sure, but even so he expected that Sujin would find a way to escape its influence, even if he couldn't fight it directly. Thus, before Sujin even hit the ground, Shadyn was busy dipping into the manastream for the power to strike him with yet another meteor. He wasn't wasting time in that regard, which appeared to be a worthy idea as though Sujin faltered on the ground for the slightest instant under the crushing effects of Gravity Control, in the next he had simply vanished from Shadyn's sight. What?! Shadyn's eyes narrowed still more. He wasn't as shocked as he might have been, since he had of course been expecting some sort of counterattack. However, he hadn't expected his quarry to simply disappear. Did he teleport? How? He's no magician. Only Shadyn's Sintadreas Tianiel Iyyo Usurara could grant the speed required to escape his Gravity Crush, and he knew that technique was yet beyond Sujin's fighting prowess. Even the mighty Sayle, strongest of all Avalonian angels, had fallen beneath its brutal embrace. It appeared Sujin was capable of his own form of teleportation, as in the next instant Shadyn felt a great presence hovering directly behind him, just a few meters above. Even though his enemy had the drop on him and was even capable of attacking Shadyn in behind, rather than exploit his momentary advantage he allowed it to melt away in favor of summoning forth his own kind of magic spell. Shadyn didn't even bother turning around. If the Angelus had sensed the rapid movement characteristic of a surprise attack, he would have whirled onto the defensive. However, considering all the elements at play at this very moment, he saw no need. He remained in his same position, hovering in place, allowing Soltia to drop to his side casually. Recently, one of Shadyn's pleasures had been meditation. He liked to simply sit in a secluded spot and allow his mind to become one with the world around him. He could learn about the intricacies of the life that surrounded him constantly as well as learn about the manastream, which increased his comfort level in performing magic and familiarized him with its complicated nature. At this very moment, in the middle of battle where any onlooker would have screamed at him to get out of the way, Shadyn instead did not move at all. His eyes even closed, face calm and serene, the eye of the storm that was rapidly brewing behind him. He seemed entirely unconcerned by the energy that he could feel erupting behind him, which he could sense was about to be unleashed upon him with all the force of the meteor that had struck the Draconian earlier. Shadyn forced his mind to be calm as he maintained the effects of both of his spells, even the Gravity Control that would seem to be useless as Sujin was outside of its area of influence. Even with Sujin's vast might coming to bear against him, his heartbeat slowed and he allowed himself to become one with the manastream, conducting his spells with pinpoint efficiency. He took a deep breath in, filling his lungs with life-giving air, and then let it out, allowing his body to relax. Even in this rapidly escalating and potentially lie-threatening situation, he was meditating. Only one conscious thought was allowed to flick across the plane of his mind. Fool. Then, for the second time in a matter of seconds, just as he was about to release the energy that would have torn Shadyn limb from limb if it hit, Sujin was interrupted. The "Dire Impact" never even left his person, as just before it would have, its user was set upon from behind and above by a great flaming boulder that he had conveniently disregarded when he moved into the air behind Shadyn. Thus, a meteor that would have struck him on the ground had things gone as Shadyn intended instead fell upon him from behind at over ten thousand miles per hour. This one was larger, and Shadyn imagined that the interrupted Dire impact would also have a rather negative effect on its caster. ((For the record, you walked right in to this one ^_^. I even said at the end of my last post that the meteor would pass just over Shadyn's head before it hit Sujin on the ground. And you decided to teleport Sujin to the one place that, besides impacting the ground, I specifically specified the meteor would go. If you don't believe me, go back and look. Nice going I got a good laugh out of that. ))

Deeper still did the young Fangs mind dive into its own form of meditation, his own form of madness. Sujin was the type that in a combat situation, when pinned against the wall with his life on the line his might would truly be realized. The young immortals instincts had been honed and sharpened throughout his entire lifetime. The training of Dian warriors was a harsh thing, a child could lose his life the instant he let his guard down… and worse still did Sujin receive even more dangerous forms of “training” in his life time. For more often than not has Sujin fought enemies stronger than he, even some infinitely stronger like Gods and Guardians, Elders and Ancient Dragons, Sujin has constantly been put in situations were he would have to rely on his might and instinct to see him through… continuingly sharpening and tempering his spirit, changing him into what he is known as to this day. He knew were he had put himself, Sujin didn’t forget about the meteor barreling down over head. In fact, the reason he chose to appear behind him and let off Impact was for that exact reason. Even still with the meteor heating the scales on the back of his neck, Sujin unleashed Impact upon its intended target all the while the meteor connecting to his mighty frame. Shit was getting hot… and Sujin had only just started to play. Even over the rumbling of the tumbling molten rock at his back, Sujin laughed. Laughing louder and louder as his draconian voice grew deeper and deeper, almost bellowing throughout the sky as the rock that was once seeped in flames grew dimmer and dimmer as one hot spot appeared on the front of the bolder, were Sujin had been hit. The bright dot that swallowed the flames erupted all at once in intense black flames as Sujin continued to hurl downwards at the earth. The impact was great, but there was no explosion. Instead, the sounds of glass shattering under a great weight the massive meteor almost hovering in the air. A draconic roar that shook the very earth and air above erupted from below the rock as it was engulfed in black flames, burning to nothing. A meaningless display of power as Sujin stood tall his wingspan almost covering the entirety of the gap that was the first impact of the meteor. His Dragon form, Massive and without a doubt his strongest form his true form. Molten eyes looked up into the sky, in Defiance did his mighty crimson body stand wings completely outstretched and his arms folded across his chest. “More." His booming voice echoed for miles and miles. The King of Dragons looked up at his opponent. If he could smirk, if he could smile, he would have… but a maw like his wouldn’t allow such. His Colossal wings flapped causing his equally large frame to float. In this form, Sujin was forced to transform… and it was in this form that Sujin in a way… had complete access to his primal energies. Black Flames surrounded his body in small ribbons as he continued to float into the sky. His killing intent, his blood lust overwhelming and yet his body made no obvious moves to attack. (( All I'm gonna say is thanks =D I KNEW about the bloody meteor, Sujin was WAITING for it.)) |

The meteor came, like a screaming eagle out of the sky it came. It crashed down upon its intended target with all the might of the heavens behind it, with all of the burning fury of the gods contained within itself. It came indeed, as Shadyn had called it. But it came just a moment too late. Sujin had just enough time, no more, to get off his Impact spell. It struck Shadyn full on in the back, lighting up his entire body with a force of magnitude comparable to that of the meteor that simultaneously was striking Sujin. Shadyn didn't even have time to cry out; his whole body erupted with the power of Sujin's attack. Shadyn was blasted out of the sky to earth with such terrible strength that the very earth shook with his impact. He didn't hit quite as hard as Sujin, as the meteor was moving at several miles a second, but he hit it hard enough that any onlooker could easily assume he was dead. After all...not even an angel could survive such a blow. The Angelus was shrouded in dusty debris for a long moment and was invisible immediately after he had hit the ground, but then the dust cleared and Shadyn could be seen, forcing himself onto one knee. He was breathing hard, his teeth were gritted together, and his eyes were gleaming yellow slits filled with divine fury. His wings flared out behind his body. His hair was full of rubble, his magnificent armor shining through the residue. Though it was dirty, there was not a single hint of any damage anywhere on that strange armor. It glistered as brightly as ever as Shadyn forced himself shakily to his feet, Soltia still gripped tightly in his right hand. The fog of his impact with the ground continued to swirl about his feet. To an observer, it would seem the Angelus truly was a god, for to survive such a blow and to be able to rise to one's feet so soon was quite worthy of a celestial. There was a red trickle running from the left side of Shadyn's mouth. He wiped it away with a sweep of his hand, not really thinking much of anything at the moment. He knew why he had survived. He was a hardy one to be sure, but even so, that blow should have dealt him his death blow. Had it not been for his armor, the Magnanimitas Armor, he likely would not even be conscious. Aside from being beyond nearly all forms of physical protection known to man, the armor was imbued with a divine blessing that protected it from magic, even the strange power that Sujin had brought to bear on his back. Thus, between its magical defenses and the physical ones that protected him from the impact, Shadyn was actually relatively unharmed. Unharmed yes, but that didn't stop him from being angry. Shadyn's mouth was clenched in a hard line, his jaw muscles flexing on the edges of his cheeks. His eyes were almost feral in their shape and color. They were the eyes not of an angel, nor of any creature borne of the heavens. They were the eyes of a wrathful demon, a Nephillim, who was beyond the point of patience. His gauntletted fingers tightened around Soltia's hilt as he turned to face Sujin, wordlessly ready to finish this fight now. There would be no more foul ups, this was the end. Sujin would not escape, this time. Thus, it was fortunate that Sujin didn't seem to have any intention of doing anything of the sort. As if in answer to Shadyn's fury, there erupted a terrible roar from behind him. It was a roar of retribution, of the thrill of the fight. Shadyn turned, his angular eyes gazing up not at a human with a blade, not even at a large Draconian. He was looking a full-grown, full-blooded dragon. Sujin in his true form was massive. His wingspan stretched across the entire crater of the first meteor, and then some. The huge scale of his body alone was impossible to measure, and as he pulled himself up from the rubble of his impact with the ground, he looked at Shadyn with eyes that seemed composed of the inferno themselves, with arms that were folded over its chest in typical Sujin fashion. It was a sight that would send whole armies of grown men into chaos, soiling their armor even as they crashed into their comrades trying to flee from the greatest of all dragons. And rightly so, for Sujin's terrible form was of a magnitude that was not worthy of this world, the rightful embodiment of the engine of destruction that was the Prean king. The King of Dragons indeed Sujin was, but yet Shadyn seemed undaunted. Yes, even faced with such an enemy in all its terrible glory, the only reaction that showed on Shadyn's face was the glimmer of an eye. His face bore an expression of grim, purposeful calm, a discipline born from centuries of the warrior's way. He fully understood the threat he faced, but yet his yellow eyes met Sujin's fiery ones with impunity. And not only that, but the look in the fallen god's eyes seemed almost to be scorning this last and greatest of Sujin's forms. Shadyn didn't even take a combat posture; Soltia remained lowered at his side. His wings were spread out behind him, but did not move to send the Angelus into the air. His free left hand pulled his bangs out of his eyes, hooking them behind one ear. And all the while, his voice rang out. It didn't have the sheer magnitude to carry for miles, but it bore with it a gravity befitting the leader of the Angeli, a shining Seraphim among angels, and a very god in mortal flesh. "I can hardly call myself a hero. I have no kingdom to wrest from the grip of a tyrant, no princess to save, no happy ending. But this day, it seems I take up the mantle of a hero, as I am called to perform one of the hero's greatest and most legendary feats." Shadyn's eyes flashed with a divine power as he raised Soltia horizontally in front of his chest. He brought up his left arm, to press his palm against the flat of the blade and hold it at arms length before him. His legs were spread a bit further than shoulder-width apart, as he gazed up at the hovering dragon above him from the top of a large boulder. "Today, I slay a dragon." With that, a fell wind began to pick up seemingly from nowhere. Shadyn's hair swirled around his head as if it had a life of its own. His armor scintillated with heavenly power. All around the Nephillim, magical feathers seemed to form out of nowhere to swirl around Shadyn's body. His wings spread out to their full wingspan behind him, their feathers gleaming with the energies Shadyn was calling forth. The magical, glowing feathers of light whirled around Shadyn, casting glittering points of light all over the surrounding rocks like tiny stars. Shadyn's eyes were closed with the intense focus involved with the cast, his face serene in meditative calm. It was clear already that this was a spell the likes of which Sujin would have never before seen, one that Shadyn was especially fond of. His most powerful, his most devastating. The incantation rang out as if through the heavens themselves, which were shrouded in clouds of the deepest black. "Sacred powers, cast your purifying light upon this corrupt soul." Shadyn's eyes opened, glowing with a white light as his very being was overtaken by celestial power. Soltia glowed so brightly it was difficult to look upon directly, the same as if it were midday instead of dawn. His voice was like thunder in the skies. "REST IN PEACE, SINNER!" All at once, the skies opened and released out of the clouds a force that could only be called divine power. Great beams of light thicker than tree trunks rained down upon the earth with more power and scope than even Meteor Storm was capable of. They were the purest white in color, and came in such numbers that they were impossible to avoid. The holy shafts carved deep craters and gouged entire pieces of earth out of the ground, devastating the land all around the Nephillim for a huge radius. Again and again the beams poured from the skies, with the celestial wrath of the very End of Days behind them. Sol's red eye poked above the horizon in time to see His devastation wrought upon the earth, and upon even the greatest of all dragons. One final word accompanied this, the most terrible of Shadyn's spells. It reverberated through the ravaged lands, filling even the air with divine fury. "JUDGMENT!!!!!" Sujin was a dragon, a furious one at that. He had the power to topple an Ancient and yet he himself was barely considered an Adult. Rightfully so, among his kind even the mad dragons of the Lost Lands knew him and bowed to him as the King. And yet, with all that power there was still one greater than he, and it was this dragon that Sujin aimed to please, it was this dragon that Sujin aimed to impress. Mighty the Fang was but Sujin was only a King… in their world… in the world of the almost immortal dragons, there was on who transcended time Drysin, the God Dragon Drysin. His aim was high, and Sujin being the man he was, was incapable of not reaching that goal… the only person that stood in his way now, the one man that stilled walked Avalon that could challenge his power, was Shadyn. And Sujin has had about enough of this Celestial. His colossal size was the stuff of myth and legend. His power was something that even the God of War herself respected. Sujin, in every form of the word was strong. Willed, Spirited, Mind and Body… Sujin embodied the very word of strength, of power. And he wasn’t going to let some being that thought themselves higher take that from him. No. Even if Sujin would be faced with the retribution of the heavens, the judgment of the gods on high the very fury of one of their kind, the young immortal would stand strong. His throne would not be toppled by one of their kind, he wouldn’t be toppled by one of their kind. The crimson wings closed on his back, and the massive beast crashed back into the earth, the ground beneath his mighty talons trembling in the fear Shadyn’s training denied existed. At this point in time, Sujin didn’t care if impact hit, if impact even damaged him. The whole reason Sujin even unleashed that ability even as the meteor came barreling down on him from behind, was an act of defiance. An act of defiance against Shadyn, and everything is very power stood for. That once divine might, the might he relied on from the world he came from. Today, that power would be crushed under the sheer will of a warrior, of a savage, of a barbarian. His massive wings folded over his shoulders, forming a long and draping cloak of crimson scales. Molten eyes never leaving the sky, not even as the concentration of magic thickened, so thick it could have choked Sujin if he weren’t standing strong in Dragon Form, he awaited what this once fallen god had left, his last card, his ace in the hole in terms of magical supremacy. Thick and heavy winds picked up almost out of no were, causing even the debris of the two meteors and the glass at his feet to pick up and rumble. Celestial magic, godly magic, and indeed something Sujin has never seen before. But, he has experienced the might of God Magic, at the hands of old friends and even an enemy once. The ribbons of black flame that consciously swirled around his person began to intensify, and grow larger until those ribbons became thick ropes and then finally an intense heat that turned the very glass at his feet to ash in an instant. And then suddenly just as quickly as the heat came, it disappeared. Replaced by a “heavy” like feeling. Rock and debris began to float around the colossal dragon as the angelic warrior began his magical chant. The Sky rumbled with his Fallen voice, his once godly might surfacing once more. Sujin would answer with his own. And then it came… his Judgment in physical form, in light, in holy magic as its power rained from the sky. Sujin’s draconic body hunched over in the crater, His wings unfolding to their full wingspan, revealing that the young immortal planted himself, claws and talons into the very earth beneath his feet. And a mighty roar that equaled the thunder of the angels own voice erupted from his frame, and like a sonic boom the debris exploded in a show of pure force. As Judgment rained down upon the King of Dragons, Sujin pushed back with everything in his frame, with everything his unchained mind could muster. He focused everything he had into his telekinetic ability and quite literally pushed in all directions back at Judgment. In a display of pure rebelliousness Sujin denied heaven, the gods, and Shadyn his Judgment. Sujin pushed, and pushed and pushed not stopping for anything or anyone. The Fang pushed so hard in all directions that his very claws that he dug into the earth below, were torn away. The sounds of mighty draconic bones cracking and crumbling under the force as his once proud crimson wings seem to almost snap and fold in places. With everything his mind could muster, his instincts, his heart, his spirit, every fiber of his being pushed against the Judgment. A hero? Maybe not. But to some people, Sujin was a symbol… unlike Shadyn, Sujin fought for more than just him now… he had a family, a son, and people to look after. Not once can he show weakness, not even in the face of a Fallen God. Sujin was an unstoppable force, and it just so happened that Shadyn had become the unmovable object. Judgment was halted. |

What did Shadyn fight for? After all, he had no family. No spouse, no children, no one at all. He was a lone wolf, estranged and isolated from society, living off the grid. He was a wanderer, the shadow at the fringes of the crowd, slipping between the shadowy nighttime alleyways. He was scorned by some, hunted by others, and revered by still more. He was an anomaly, a blight on the world of mortals, a traitor to heaven. He had even renounced greater power that most of the world could have imagined, power beyond the plane that even Sujin existed in. Even as strong as the King of Dragons was, he might as well have been a fence lizard cowering in the crevice between two rocks compared to the might of a Celestial. Shadyn had tasted power that rivaled even Vengeance herself, Kioku. And yet he had shunned it, choosing to remain a stranger on the road of life. Many wondered if even he understood himself fully. Shadyn yet remained a faceless vagabond known to most by only one name. Rurouni The terrible rain of celestial might ebbed, and Shadyn's blade dropped loosely to his side. His head was bowed, his eyes closed as he absorbed the loss of energy he had had to pour into the manastream to unleash such a terrible power. The might he had summoned, which he referred to as "Judgment", was the pinnacle of light elemental magic. It was a mere drop of the fury that would befall the land at the End of Days, the day Sol came forth to complete his fiery cycle. Just as he had created this world, so he would end it one day. It was the unbridled wrath of that day that Shadyn had called forth, and it was no easy task to do so. Shadyn's posture was slightly bent, his muscles loose as they were struck by a sudden fatigue. His power supply, unlike what Sujin's seemed to be, was limited. He found it unlikely that even this, his mightiest of spells, would defeat Sujin, but it had been worth a shot. And he had paid dearly for that shot. Even the Magnanimitas Armor seemed to have lost a bit of its iridescent glitter. Soltia hung loosely from his weakened fingers. The Angelus' hair even seemed to droop, falling all around his face. At last, Shadyn's head rose, peering out from behind unruly, auburn bangs to gaze upon the mangled and terrible result of Judgment's fury. The land was ravaged, whole new canyons had been gouged out by the celestial fire. Debris was scattered about and the entire earth seemed to smoke, covering it in a haze as if a great fire had just gone out. Some craters were lined with glass, cracked and glowing red with the heat of the terrible indignation of the gods. There was no evidence of a living thing anywhere for miles...save one. Through it all, Sujin yet remained. Mauled and gravely injured though he might be, he yet loomed before Shadyn, his eyes blazing with fury equivalent to that which they had held before Shadyn's latest attack. Judgment, a spell that had obliterated whole armies with sheer destructive might, had failed. Shadyn's eyes had softened, losing some of their feral intensity. They were rounder at the edges, speaking of the weakness that gripped his form. His breath was coming, but it was coming in ragged gasps. Soltia was trembling by his side; not as a result of fear, but rather lassitude. I can't stop him...even Judgment was unable to defeat him. I fear my effort is in vain. I may even see my end at his hands... It was an outcome that much of Shadyn longed for. His life had been long and full of more hardship than any soul should have to endure. Many days he longed for death, envied those who were accepted into its chilled embrace. The reaper had yet to come for him, but he could feel its eyes on him now. Perhaps this was his end, perhaps this was the way the great Shadyn Kyros Aurion was meant to go. Many hoped for an afterlife, sought solace in that hope...but not Shadyn. He hoped that when he passed on, he met only void. Nothingness. He wanted to pass into a state of nonexistence...only then could he rest in peace. Otherwise...he would be cursed with bearing the guilt of what he had done throughout his life for all of eternity. His eyes...his gritted teeth...both were filled with continuing defiance, but in truth his spirit waned. He was a soul weary, not only in body, but in mind and heart. His head bowed again, eyes closing for a long moment. Much of him wanted it to end, wanted to finish this fight with honor and accept defeat when it at last came. Soltia was on the verge of falling from his grasp. What do I fight for? Then, suddenly, a flicker of light, no larger than a candle flame, appeared in Shadyn's soul. His fingers found new strength, new energy with which to grip Soltia's hilt. They tightened with a renewed intensity, with a profound strength that he hadn't felt before. In many ways, he was weaker than his brethren. The Angeli felt no pain, felt no fear, felt no passion or loss or anything at all. They were mighty crusaders of light, and yet he was as flawed and as weak as a human in many ways. But there was one thing, one feeling, that put him above them. One thing that drove him onward where an Angelus would have faltered and fallen. It was that one thing that was filling Shadyn now, a great strength that flowed from his heart, from the core of his soul, out to every nook and cranny of his body. His body straightened, his head raised, and his free hand pulled the hair from his eyes. Those eyes, so expressive of his inner workings, were burning with an even greater intensity than even Sujin's were. With a hand newly steadied by an unknown power, Shadyn's left hand moved from brushing his bangs aside to his left side, where it gripped Lunaras' hilt and drew her slowly from her sheath. Lunaras emerged from her crystalline, blue sheath with the long, delicate scrape of a blade being drawn, her silvery length yet glowing with the light of the moon that ha yet to set over the horizon. Luna was hovering quite close to the rising Sol, a most unusual occurrence. Both blades were alight with their opposing but complimentary intensities. Shadyn raised Lunaras horizontally before him, holding her backhanded like he would a dagger. He raised Soltia vertically in front of her, such that the two formed a scintillating cross with their overpowering, bedazzling luminescence. "It seems I will require a power greater even than that of the End of Days to see the End of Sujin. Likewise, you will need more might than I believe you possess to defeat me this time. Come at me, then. That is, if you think you can." Shadyn's voice did not resonate through the heavens as it had with his cast of Judgment. It was an earthly sound, but was no less filled with the resolve a strength to shake the very heavens themselves. His eyes had sharpened once again and burned along with the power of his weapons. In this case, the weakness that made him different from all of his kin, the weakness his mother had granted him, gave him the strength to overcome that which those without passion and drive could not. Where the Angeli would have fallen, Shadyn yet stood. For there was no power in heaven or earth greater than that of the human soul on fire. |

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand, Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamp'd on these lifeless things, The hand that mock'd them and the heart that fed. ![]() And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains: round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, The lone and level sands stretch far away. | |

Emperor of Flames

Sujin’s draconic roar, his defiance echoed throughout the sky as the might of the gods shattered before him. The Fang soon landed back on the bombarded ground beneath him. His talons digging into the shattered earth, His glorious wings lay shattered at his back. The pwer he forced into the area around him almost tore them to shreds, thankfully however, no wound even a mortal one could keep the immortal down for long. And as moments went by as the sky cleared above revealing the brightly shining moon on the area, his crimson wings began to once more stand proudly at his back as the Great Dragon King’s swirling eyes watched Shadyn. It seems the final round was about to begin. That’s right, Sujin would know nothing of celestial power and he unlike Shadyn chose since he was born to be the strongest thing alive. The realm of the gods was not for him, it wasn’t his style and he refused to have a cheaply acquired power such as celestial magic. That was the easy road, to ascend and become a god, to have untouchable power and a infinite life source. No that was far too easy for Sujin, he preferred to become strong over his lifetime, and to continue to grow rather than be handed infinite strength. Working for it… it’s the journey that’s important not the destination, and for Sujin… for the Fang he would continue to journey even in the afterlife, the Fang would continue to walk his road of strength, respectfully under the eyes of Drysin. His limits were continuously being shattered; it had become truth that the King of Dragons, that the Lord of Flame had none, as he continuously shattered them. This was his road, and this was its power, and in many ways it was a road Shadyn would never understand as well. They were both from two different worlds, and had two different outlooks on life therefore it would only be right that they would not understand each others life styles. However, Sujin, like any other warrior, respected his road and would never claim that his was better or vise versa. One chooses their own path, Sujin just decided to go down the road opposite of Shadyn. Sujin’s colossal frame ignited in black flames, engulfing his entirety turning the dark night sky bright as golden yellow flames dances across the sky, devouring the very clouds themselves. And in a bright flash, a massive heat wave erupted from the epicenter of Judgment’s scars, only to fade away… the giant frame that was once Sujin melting away revealing his human form, nude due to the meteor he was struck with earlier. The young immortal yawned and stretched, with the brilliant release of flames… Sujin’s own defiance and thirst for destruction had melted away, dispersing in the sky as the rolling clouds burn away to nothing. The Fang had calmed his heart, and calmed his rage, the flame inside his soul, in his spirit much different from Shadyn’s for a long time ago his own fire awakened, it was this time he got to witness someone else’s set ablaze. His right hand rose to the sky and from a random direction amiss the destruction caused by the gods "wrath" the Ancient Bastard sword Ashmorne found itself in his grip again. A smile painted on his face as his crystal blue eyes locked onto the fire inside Shadyn, pleased with himself in a way. It seems the Fallen has decided to take a side road… decided to depend on strength he built himself… not strength given to him by his gods and his heaven. With a slight hop Sujin’s nude frame melted from view in the crater only to appear some feet away from the Fallen’s current position, Ashmorne resting over his shoulder. But even with this new found fire in his soul… Shadyn continued to underestimate Sujin. No matter… for he too was the same way when he first awakened. “Seems like ya finally woken up ya? Welcome to my world Fallen. This…. This here is the power I possess… and it’s a power you’ve come to recognize. Although ya still boast just a little too much, ya ant broken ya first barrier yet… gotta letcha mind go mate.” Funny… a mortal trying to teach the Former God of Life something. But if there was anything Sujin knew about… was a warriors spirit, and a warriors fire. Shadyn’s had awoken… and now it was up to him to ether be devoured by the Lord of Flame… or stand his ground and walk away. Sujin’s right arm burst into flames, Berserk Dusk appearing seconds later. Sujin had taken up his infamous stance, holding both blades lazily to his sides in an overly relaxed stance. The Final round of easily one of the greatest battles of their lives was about to begin. “Limits? I have none.” (its a little crappy... but I hope you enjoy it =D) |

Katsujin-ken satsujin-to...

What did Shadyn fight for? One who raises that query might as well asked why he yet lived, why his heart still beat within his breast, why the ichor still flowed through his arteries and veins. Shadyn was a lone wolf, he wandered where the wind took him and where he could serve whatever short term ends he had. But what higher purpose did he serve? He had once led the Angeli, but he had left them in the care of the other Seraphim. He'd even left the land he had hailed from since his birth in favor of wandering further, finding somewhere new. Many would say he had no purpose, that he was simply a drifter who did whatever he pleased at the time, but such a notion was as untrue as his wings were feathered. Soltia and Lunaras formed a enchanting cross of fire and ice before the Angelus, both lit up with alluring luminescence that was as beautiful as it was ominous. Shadyn's eyes were feral, blazing slits in the dawn light. His auburn locks were blowing in the fell wind that had picked up, pushing the tails of his Magnanimitas Armor about like the scarves he wore in his more common traveler's garb. The light of the dawn and his blades combined were giving his face a mottled look, cast with the hues of gold and silver simultaneously and emphasizing the truculent slash over his right eye, a wound that yet endured to this day from a battle long ago. The scar suggested that as much as Shadyn desired peace, longed for the day when he no longer needed to carry weapons or worry about what might be hiding in the shadows, he was a warrior angel at heart and thus, without darkness to dispel, he would be as lost as a lion with no prey. Perhaps that, in a sense, was why he wandered. Shadyn's penetrating gaze was fixed on Sujin, scanning and analyzing the enemy he now faced in the light of what Sujin had already shown him. His eyes barely seemed to even notice the nudity. Now was not the time to remark on the light comedy inherent in the situation. Sujin himself disregarded it, and thus it was of little concern in a deathmatch like this was looking to be. Instead, Shadyn's eyes were using the momentary lull to seek out the things that would give him hints as to his opponents intentions, information that could easily save his life in the heat of combat. It appeared that, for the first time, Sujin intended to adopt his own preferred style of combat: dual-wielding. It would be Soltia and Lunaras against Ashmorne and Sujin's sword of black flame, Berserk Dust. The latter was of little consequence to the Angelus. He knew just how to counter such a blade. Thus, he focused the majority of his attention on Ashmorne, for it was this blade that Shadyn had yet to square off against. "There is no being in this world that is without limits, without weakness. To make such an audacious statement ironically reveals one of your own vulnerabilities, your overconfidence." With that, Shadyn sank into a more conventional combat stance, with his left foot leading and Lunaras raised horizontally in front of him in its backhanded style of grip. Soltia was held off to the side by the right hand, pointing away from Shadyn in an adaptable ready position. His limbs still held the fatigue he had felt earlier, but it was his own choice to disregard it. This was what separated him from the Angeli, and from Sujin himself as well. Both claimed to have no limits, and yet faltered in battle when they were overcome by one greater than themselves. Their overconfidence was in itself a weakness to be exploited. Shadyn was different, for he knew his limits. And he knew them well. But he also knew he could choose to surpass them. He knows about the Sintadreas. I must wait to use that until the crucial moment. It appeared Sujin himself had some form of teleportation, one he had used in their previous bout as well. Shadyn could teleport, but such an ability in battle had limited effectiveness. The Burning Wings however, a technique that granted speed beyond the world of mortals, was another thing entirely. It could be considered an entire fighting style all on its own. It was not yet time for that terrible power to make its appearance. It seemed this battle, which until then had been of magical power, would culminate in a more conventional clash of blades. "Pray to whatever gods you have that they might grant you leniency at the time of judgment." With that, Shadyn's form melted into a shining blue blur, one that closed the distance between himself and Sujin in an instant. With the reverberating ring of steel meeting steel, Soltia clashed directly with Ashmorne, fire meeting fire in a calamitous union. Where Sujin might have expected Shadyn to lead with Lunaras for defense and a diversion and use Soltia for the main attacking blade, the Nephillim instead chose to reverse the expected order. Shadyn moved the solar sword with his right arm to shove Ashmorne off to the side, parting Sujin's defenses as easily as sunlight through the clouds. Meanwhile, Shadyn used his momentum of pushing Soltia off to the side to pivot his stance to the right, bringing his left shoulder closest to Sujin. Simultaneously, he raised Lunaras up to point directly at Sujin's heart, still held backhanded by the left hand. Shadyn timed a twist of his hips to add the muscular strength of his core to that of his left arm, thrusting Lunaras, like a great shining dagger, towards Sujin's heart with enough force to pierce solid bedrock.
