"You're cute..I mean!" She stumbled a bit as she stood, having finished cleaning his face, stepping back to stand fully upright. That had definitely surprised her. Of all of the things he could have said. She looked back at him, ready to reply, until he essentially recanted his words. She was struck with a look of sadness, her excitement over the situation ruined. "I mean..what?" She'd simply stare at him for a minute. Dazed at the words that had just come from his lips. "Did you just... never mind." She tried to throw the words off, but they echoed in her mind. He seemed to regret having shared it in the first place, maybe it wasn't meant for her. She went and got rid of the rag once more, pausing at the window to take a few breaths of the fresh sea-air. She either had to say something about it, or leave. Both of which were equally hard to do. she turned, taking in a breath as to speak, mouth open, and closed it, releasing the air through her nose. She'd stop in front of him, looking down at him Silently, before trying to put on a smile. She tried, but then it faded much to quickly and she couldn't stand not being able to smile. It was time to run before something worse happened. She thought of the options. Stay here and be further humiliated, or run away and hope he'd follow, professing love for her. It seemed unlikely, but at least she wouldn't be in this embarrassing situation anymore. She'd walk to the door, ready to go to her room now that he was cleaned up. Blush upon her cheeks, she'd open the door, but before leaving she would speak a few words, having turned to face him. "You're not bad yourself, you know. And I won't take that back." And with that said, she'd run out of the kitchen and across the deck, heading for her room. She wouldn't stop until she had gotten into her bed and hidden herself beneath the blankets. She'd hide there until he came, if he did. If not, she would fall asleep there, lost in her feelings of being rejected secondhand. |

Sozen couldn't help but realize how much of a fool he made of himself, he couldn't contain his feelings and in a demonstration of his stupidity he blurted something out that he though she didn't want to hear, and quite frankly he thought he had just killed their relationship. He had known Mab for a good time now, and never did the thoughts of hurting her or destroying their relationship enter his mind, in fact after realizing what he had done he hated himself so badly, he always did the best he could to keep her happy. He watched with pain in his jade eyes as she would try to force a smile, only to watch it crumble and fade away, immediately Sozen looked downwards with defeat, what a fucking idiot. Amaranth strands would drop down on his visage in a mess, and when he had looked up once more she was already on her way towards the exit, and the sorcerer thought right then and there that he blew it completely. "You're not bad yourself, you know. And I won't take that back." A glint of hope shimmered in his eyes, and with the feeling of sadness quickly burning away from the warmth of those words he wasn't feeling so bad anymore, but the fact she said take it back had only led him to the assumption that she thought Sozen meant to take back his words. That wasn't what he meant at all though, he merely tried to change the subject out of sheer embarrassment, he couldn't believe a man like him had let something so easily slip out, but then again, he realized who the girl was he was dealing with. Surely any man would fall apart in her presence, and if it wasn't for Sozen being smart and talented with his words he was sure that the result would have been much, much worse. However in his thoughts of mental fuckups he realized that she'd left, and quickly cursing under his breath he almost tipped the table over having jumped up so fast, and quickly reaching for the bandages that had not yet been applied to his cheek he'd quickly tear a piece off. An adhesive was applied, and quickly attaching the small piece around his cheek he'd immediately take off to go find her; he couldn't let it die like this, not when she had spoken such words to him that filled him with hope, and maybe, just maybe, he could fix it. Indeed, he was quite the oblivious guy, little did he know the feelings she shared for him after all this time, and only now was he realizing his feelings for her. Dumbass. "Mab!" He'd shout as he exited the door, and with his voice echoing across the ship she'd be nowhere in sight, but the quick closing of a door where the sleeping quarters wre located would give him a lead, he was assuming she had taken off to her room. Shirtless, the shapeshifter was quick to move, the large string of bandages around his chest were easily visible in the dark light of the torches, and with the last-minute strip applied to his cheek all his injuries were effectively taken care of, although his well-being was the least of his concerns at this moment of time. Coming to a halt at her door he was almost sent sliding across the wood due to the abrupt stop, since he was moving pretty fast. A deep breath was taken as he'd feel his heart thudding loudly in his chest, and raising his right hand upwards it was curled into a fist before he'd knock lightly at the door; no need to intrude. "Mab..Let me explain.." He paused as he worked up the courage to speak the next few words, "Can I come in and talk?" |

Sure, she was nowhere near crying, but she still didn't want to be seen in such a mood. she was a happy person, and liked to keep herself in that kind of light to others. The darkness through her porthole window was rather depressing as she lay there looking out of it. If only he could just understand without her having to actually say anything. Then maybe she could be happy. They could be happy. She could make him happy if he'd let her. She could sustain herself and others. She really wasn't a ruthless brute at heart. She wanted all of the things that other girl wanted from life: love and happiness, a family, success, and a home. She also wanted the sea and riches, but that was her own personal wants. Laying therein the silence, foot-poundings were heard approaching her door, and she thought she new who it was, but didn't want to get her hopes up too high. She closed her eyes until the muffled but familiar voice of Sozen rang through her door. "Mab..Let me explain.." She sighed and closed her eyes. Here came the explanation of why he didn't mean what he had said. The explanation of why her heart was in pain right now. The few words that could throw her overboard, keelhauling beneath the waves of the sea. Something like, 'I shouldn't have said that,' or 'sorry I made you think I liked you.' that was the expectation. after a pause he would speak again. "Can I come in and talk?" She opened her eyes partially as she looked out the window. Did she really want to hear what he had to say? Really want to be any more upset by the phrases from his lips? She stared at the waves through her window, watching the skyline rise and fall with the motion of the hip. It would be a few minutes before she would answer, but he would allow it. Might as well get the truth out now. "Yes, just come in already." She continued to stare at the wall as she would hear the door open, a cool breeze coming in and stopping as the door was closed once more. She didn't turn to face him, and kept her eyes focused on a knot in the wood around her window, which ruined the nearly perfect circle. She took a breath in the silence as he stood in her tiny compartment, reserved for an officer. There were two others just like hers, Sozen's being one. "What is it?" She'd speak quietly into the wall, awaiting a reply from him. |

It was in his rush to catch up with her and explain things he'd realized; he never prepared anything to say, basically he ran in here to confess his feelings with absolutely nothnig prepared, he was going to pretty much wing this entire encounter, and now that he wa willing to say what he had meant he would nervously enter once hearing her words. Oh damn, where to begin. Closing the door behind him he'd stand there silently for a moment, heart was thudding so quickly and loudly he wouldn't doubt if Mab was able to hear the rhythmic pumping of blood, he could feel his chest vibrating with each pound, it was safe to say he was nervous. His stomach felt like it was tied in knots and a lump seemed to be forming in his throat, and with more silence between them he'd clear his throat quickly to break the silence before uttering forth a single word quietly, "Mab.." He'd take a quiet step or two forward as to be closer, and finally he'd crouch down so as to be on her level should she finally turn, and with a sudden surge of bravery he'd shake off the fear of saying it. He knew that if he could tell her he would be satisfied, if she didn't feel the same who gives a shit? He could be happy knowing he was man enough to say it, and no matter what his feelings would remain and he'd remain loyal to his soon-to-be captain. Of course he hoped she felt the same way, but he could go on knowing that as long as he was happy he would be too, besides, he'd much rather have Mab as a friend than to lose her from his life completely. "I meant what I said, Mab..I was just..embarrassed.." He would continue with her words after a deep breath, he wouldn't give her the chance to speak though as he was quick to continue, "I like you, lots, Mab..I never really realized it until today, and to be honest I'm not sure if you feel the same.." Hands were raised upwards and pushed nervously through his mane, "I wanted you to know I'll always feel this way even if you don't, cause I.." He swallowed hard, he knew what was coming next, and she probably would see it coming too, although with her turned he couldn't read a facial expression of joy or disgust. "..Love you.." Immediately head would sink into his hands as he was too embarrassed to even look at her, his body was almost trembling as he was scared of what was going to happen next. It was funny really, a ruthless and powerful sorcerer reduced to but a cowardly man, love was a funny emotion, huh? |

"Mab.." She curled tighter into herself as footsteps brought him closer to her, for fear he would touch her, which might send her overboard. She just wanted to get this over with, but here he was, dragging it out forever with his slow words and pauses. He was obviously unprepared to confess that he was uninterested in her in such a fashion as she wished him to be. "I meant what I said, Mab..I was just..embarrassed.." Since when is it embarrassing to find the only female on a ship attractive? With seeing all these gross men on board all the time, and she new he never went out with women when they were docked, because he was always in his room or with her, anyone would find her attractive at least a small amount. She did have boobs. "I like you, lots, Mab..I never really realized it until today, and to be honest I'm not sure if you feel the same.." Well. That wasn't expected. She would roll over as he ran hands through his pretty hair. Her saddened expression softened into that of a blank facade as she spoke. "Go on," she said. She hoped what came next was what she had wanted all along, though she wasn't sure if she was ready to hear it. After all, she had never seen or known the emotion in her entire life. She thought it was what she felt when she looked at the man, but how could she really be sure? It was different, definitely. "I wanted you to know I'll always feel this way even if you don't, cause I.." She closed her eyes as her lips turned upward a smidgen on one side. "..Love you.." Precisely what she wanted to hear. She released a breath she didn't know she had been holding, opening her eyes to see him before her, his head in his hands, apparently scared. That was another new one. She sat half-up in her bed, reaching down to him and grabbing his arms to pull him upward. "Come sit with me, please." She'd lay her head back against her pillow, lying on her back now, and looking up at him. "I'm not sure what I'm telling you when I say this, but I love you too. At least, I thin that's what it is, and I'm willing to say that that's what it is. Because it's damn-well what I want it to be right now." She took his hand in her own and closed her eyes, laying back on the pillow as she gave a small giggle. "Well that was a wonderful ending to a highly eventful day." |

Yes, it was finally out there. He had set himself to fail and get hurt, or by some awesome turn of events to score awesomely and actually have her like him in return, but he was quick to look back on everything that was said and was deciding if he'd said the right things, but truth be told no amount of preparation could have readied him for this moment, going simply on guts and love alone he had finally confessed his feelings. Immediately he had covered his face and pushed deep into his hands, he was too nervous for words, let alone eye contact, or for the fact that he was blushing and probably looked all embarrassed and scared. Yet, hearing a long exhale on her end he didn't know if she simply sighed at his patheticness, but that soft voice he loved so was soon heard as he'd feel that warm touch on his skin. "Come sit with me, please." He was overcome with warmth yet again, her voice and touch alone seemed enough to make his blood boil, damn she was amazing, and he wished so bad that he could put it into words, but all he could do for the time-being was look at her with loving eyes and expression, maybe from these alone she could feel the same emotion. Sitting close he could again feel the warmth her body seemed to always be full of, he couldn't tell if she was just always warm or if her touch alone could boil his insides with love, either way, he liked it. "I'm not sure what I'm telling you when I say this, but I love you too. At least, I think that's what it is, and I'm willing to say that that's what it is. Because it's damn-well what I want it to be right now." His heart could have exploded right there on the spot, the emotion coursing through him was so amazing, her words and and sight alone brought him such a happiness he'd long heard the humans of this world describe as love, and something so good as this simply had to be such an emotion. An emotion powerful enough to completely destroy him on the inside and render him a cowardly fool, while on the other hand it could fill him with such happiness and joy that he felt as if he needed nothing in his life other than his love, he felt as if he was, to put it simply, on top of the world. Intertwining their fingers he'd lovingly stroke his thumb against the soft flesh of Mab, and looking down with a deep gaze of jade slates he watched her, damn, he could get lost in those eyes for days. "Well that was a wonderful ending to a highly eventful day." He was quick to reply, as lame and corny as it may have sounded he said it anyways, "A wonderful beginning, Mab.." He was quick to place a very gentle-man like kiss along the top of her hand, he needed nothing else from her, her company was more than enough to be had on this night, and to be honest it was what he wanted above all else. |

With those very words from the males lips had the warming of her heart begun. She lay smiling upon her bed, basking in the glory of being loved. She had asked him to sit on the bed with her, purely for the comfort of knowing her was still beside her, and that his attention would be fully hers, for surely he would be all that was on her mind for some time to come. Eyes would open and look upon the features of the man Sozen before her. "A wonderful beginning, Mab.." With the words, her hand was lifted, a soft kiss placed upon its surface. She would blush, never having experienced such a gentleman-to-lady act first hand. It was rather nice to be treated so tenderly, unlike how she was normally treated, as one of the men on a ship. With the motion she would move to pull him down next to her, moving herself closer to the wall and creating a space for him to lay. "You can stay here with me, if you like." In truth, the act was a rather embarrassing one for her, as she had never done so, let alone ever been alone with a man under such circumstances. She really did have no earthly idea what she was getting herself into, but merely letting things come as she saw fit. If he choose to lay with her, no doubt she would blush more-so than she had ever before, and probably hide herself within either pillow or blanket. Should he choose to leave her for the night, she would be fine with that, as it was indeed getting late and sleep was necessary should they be woken early the next morning. She had had plenty of emotion for the evening, and now would be the time to sleep. Should he stay, however, she would still attempt to sleep, probably better than she would should he choose to leave, as she would have the comfort of his warmth beside her, though she would try her best not to lay too close to him, should he feel that she is intruding upon his personal space. |

Despite the wondrous events that had taken place the pirate couldn't help but still feel cowardly and scared, deep down he was afraid of rejections, and confessing your love to a girl was generally an event that was hard on your nerves. All of today's events would run through his mind almost as if he was watching a movie, but that didn't make sense either, because movies didn't exist at this time. But before he could reflect fully he'd feel the pull of the female below him as he'd be through with a kiss as fancy and romantic as he could muster, and with just her touch he felt as if his insides were melting. His love for Mab warmed him up every time he laid eyes on her, she was just so.. amazing. All to compliant with her actions he would quickly lower himself from his seated position to a lay next to her, words could not explain the pure joy coursing through his body at this moment, and maybe that was a good thing - because sometimes you couldn't put into words what you loved most. Hearing her voice again was enough to bring a small smile to him as lips would curve, and responding in a soft and gentle voice he'd almost whisper back, "I'd like that." He inched just slightly closer, he wanted to just wrap his arms around her in a loving embrace, yet Sozen didn't want to move so quickly or intrude in such a way so soon; he did not want to sabotage this relationship or make the wrong action. But the warmth of her figure was all to alluring to him, not to mention she was absolutely stunning. The sorcerer would find himself laying sideways, head was laid softly on the pillow as his body would be facing her's, that single jade optic would never avert his gaze from her, and with eastern appendage sliding downwards the blanket was grabbed. It would be pulled upwards as to cover his person and position himself underneath it with Mab, she could hide all she want but now he's still be able to see her under the covers. He'd breath in deeply thinking over what he planned to do next, exhaling out a shaky sigh he'd go on ahead and do it; he couldn't be a coward around her forever. "Mab.." Hand was slid under the covers of the blankets in a move to grasp her hand in his with a loving squeeze, and should the female allow fingers would intertwine with her's. "I love you." |

”I’d like that.” The simple words brought a smile to her features as she lay with her head upon the pillow, and as he laid with her, she would curl more into a circle than she had been before, somewhat nervous reaction to hi new proximity to her, and pull the blanket over her head. “Good.” That would be her only reply to his words, muffled through the blanket. Simple, but it proved her point. She wanted him to be here, and, had he gone, she would have been rather upset, in truth. He moved closer and her eyes shut as she removed the blanket from her head, wanting to see him this close. Suddenly new warmth was felt as the male was now moving closer to her. All of this made her so ridiculously nervous she thought she might spew. She opened her eyes slowly to gaze upon his façade, a single green eye simply digging into her. How could a stare be so… sweet? Wasn’t staring supposed to be creepy? Either way, she liked it, and chose to stare back at him with her own large yellow orbs. Hi hand would lower and grasp the blanket, pulling it over himself as well. She lowered her gaze a moment before closing her eyes, snuggling into her pillow and fully satisfied with recent events in her room. She’d be nearly asleep as the male would speak. ”Mab..” Her breath hitched as his warm hand took hold of hers beneath the blanket. She hadn’t been ready for that. A soft “hm” would be released from her lips before she was nearly asleep. ”I love you.” The words were oft and comforted Mab as she lay nearly asleep. Her eeys would remain closed as she gave a toothless smile. “I love you too, Sozen.” The voice was soft and distant, as she was falling asleep even as she spoke, and she was out within moments, happily dreaming of… cake. |

The warmth of his beloved was more than enough to comfort the sorcerer, being here alone with her, with their feelings shared and now in the open things had seemed simply wonderful for him, to be honest he was feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, and with a nice amount of fluttering in his chest. Beneath these blankets on her bed he'd confess his love aloud once more with a soft whisper, and with her hand in his own digits would rub and caress against her soft, delicate skin, the touch of her body felt wondrous. But what made his heart skip a beat was hearing her say those few words back, to hear that soft and amazing voice he so enjoyed say the words he longed for brought a feeling he had never experienced in his many years of living, oh he had been with women before, but none could make his heart race and blood pump like Mab could, there was simply no comparison. He could do nothing but smile, lips curved and that single jade slate was covered quickly and tightly by fleshy lids, simply squeezing on her hand tighter he could almost squeak. Yet when eyes would awake and fixate his focus 'pon the face of his love he'd not find that lively grin, instead that of a sleeping, innocent look about her, to be honest she was quite adorable. He'd merely lay and watch her sleep, he himself was not tired but hell, he could watch her for hours like this, when he looked at her it was as if she tugged him into a world of their own. He'd sigh softly in an attempt to rid this pent-up, fluttery feeling that filled his chest so, but to no avail, this new sensation hadn't ceased in the slightest, although he couldn't complain - it felt quite nice. And with the slightest of movements Sozen would inch closer to her body, only inches from contact he could feel her slow, warm breaths caressing his flesh, and propping himself upwards on one elbow he could only gaze, she was beautiful in his eyes. He didn't know where these emotions had come from, he wasn't sure what had sprung them up so suddenly, but the sorcerer had known deep down they existed all along. And in probably the bravest act of his life he pressed forward. Sozen could be the kindest person you could meet, or he could be a vicious killer, many men had fallen before him in battle and were victim to both his swordsmanship and magical prowess, but nothing such as that took as much courage as this small action. With head tilted forward the pirate would place supple lips against the mouth of the sleeping Mab, pushing them forward against her own he would feel the softness and warmth - and with a very faint smack of his lips he had kissed her with such a gentle and loving touch he'd never knew he had in him. |

Mmm... that cake was so delicious. Where was the next one? She was wandering through a place of corridors and rooms, all having some form of fancy cake inside. The first door she had opened had been red velvet. Oh, how she enjoyed red velvet cake. Now she was found wandering the hallways and trying to open locked doors. None of them would budge, and she was still craving cake. Finally a door at the end of a long, doorless corridor was unlocked and she stepped into the pitch-black area. She searched around. Why could she not see? She had never experienced a darkness she could not see in. The door closed behind her. No returning to where she was. She stuck her hands out in front of her and found herself grabbing something warm and soft. She took a sniff at it. Smelled so familiar. She lifted her head as she realized the darkness was only because her eyes were closed. As she opened them, her lips were met with those of Sozen, and she blushed and stared. Had she or he caused that contact? Surely her face was not already close enough... had he been moving in for it? That thought was rather exciting. She was now holding him with her lips pressed against his. She had grabbed him mid-dream. She pulled away and let him go, still blushing. The lip-lip contact had lasted barely a second. "Uh, sorry about that. I move in my sleep." She gave a sheepish smile as she averted her eyes. Well that was embarrassing. |

The pirate soon found himself being grabbed softly by Mab's hands, a bit of a surprise at first but the touch was quickly welcomed. Lips would meet and it seemed she had woken up, and quickly in return his arm had slid around her as well as their lips were pressed together. A faint smacking noise would signal the parting, and moving back Mab had cut their contact short, Sozen was quick to pull back his own arm as well. Single jade orb simply looked down at her, having shared a kiss with this girl was more than he could ask for, and to see her blushing and embarrassed like that was enough to send a rush of blood to his own cheeks. "Sorry.." His voice was soft as he'd lower himself back down beside her, putting his head back down on the pillows. He couldn't exactly tell if she'd enjoyed that and the blushing was because of that, or if she didn't like it and the blushing was caused for that reason. Although I supposed he'd find out soon he thought it would be best to save his next attempt for a time more appropriate, as for now he didn't wish to wake his beloved a second time. Body would slide slightly closer to her own, and once more under the blankets Sozen aim to take hold of the hand he was been holding earlier, and with a loving smile he'd close his eyes, "Goodnight, love.." Drifting off, he'd be asleep shortly. |

His apology was heard as the blanket rustled from her moving backward. She stopped and laid her head back down on the pillow. Somehow she felt that he made her the most comfortable, despite how nervous she was at the moment. It was rather amazing. She was laying here so close to her best friend, whom she had loved for some time now. And what a great feeling to have such emotions returned. His body approached her own as she closed her eye, and soon he was closer than he had been before. She was drifting, as much as she wished she wouldn't, and barely heard his words of goodnight as she snuggled her body close and pressed her face into his chest, falling asleep. Sun in her eyes alerted her to the morning. She was facing her window, looking at the orange sunrise. It was pretty. She smiled, remembering what had happened last night. She completely forgot that Sozen was still in her bed, and assumed he had gotten up already as there was no physical contact at the moment, and she squealed and threw her face into her pillow. She sighed into the soft thing and rolled backward a bit, running into a solid form. She lifted her head and looked over to see Sozen, right next to her. Her eyes opened wide and she blushed before hiding herself underneath the blanket. She hoped he hadn't seen that. |

The sun had been hitting the side of his face that he wore his eyepatch on, the reason the beams had not woken him up from their sheer brightness. He was happily asleep, he was dreaming of foods right now, although asleep and unable to tell Sozen was quite hungry, he hadn't eaten a single thing yesterday and even as he lay there his stomach gave the occasional grumble. Although visions of roasted meat were quickly dispatched when he'd been touched, head flung up quite fast as he'd look around confused, "What..?" He was talking to nobody in particular, mostly himself with his mouth hanging open. It'd be a few seconds more before he realized he was awake, and quickly running a hand over his face he wiped up the small amount of drool in the corner of his mouth. Charcoal strands of hair would be pushed up in a mess, he had quite the bed head at the moment. Eye patch had been pushed off a bit to the side, and overall he just had quite the tired and beat up look about him. "Good morning.." Voice was low and cracky, but he still smiled at her. |

The small pirate would chuckle as she watched him wake up, glad he had still been sleeping. She had lifted her head at his movement. He had drooled in his sleep. What a cutie. She smiled as she looked at him waking up. His bed-head was adorable. She reached out a hand to flatten it a bit as she sat up. His locks were soft and movable and he looked so cute right after waking. It was truly an enjoyable moment to be able to wake up next to him. "Good morning to you as well, dearie." She stretched her arms to the air with a small noise. They needed to get back to working. Rather, telling other people to work. "Come on, we need to wake up. Work to be ordered." She'd press her hands into his side, attempting to move him. He was a lot bigger than her, and she wasn't quite strong enough to budge him. He'd just have to help her out with that. |
