Let's not make an ass out of 'u' and 'me'.

He couldn’t say there was much point to him being here. Bly wasn’t one to follow Gods, especially since they seemed to spring up and then disappear without so much as a word. In fact the only two that seemed to cling on was an otherwise detached player in the strings of the world, and the other an entirely too violent and destructive mistress who had caused him far too much woe. As such he hardly considered himself to be one to worship a God, or in this case, Goddess. So that really brought him to why he was even here… The question was not perplexing. He needed to improve in strength and skill, if paying some tribute to a Goddess increased his power, or better yet, his control over his power, so be it. And so far he had an inkling that this could be beneficial for him. It was clear the Temple was a nexus of magical energy. Intrinsically he felt a link bonded to his own body the moment he set foot through the doors. The auras played around with each other, you could claim magic had its own soul. Bly took in a breath and looked around the walls. The place was an interesting construction, but its halls were almost empty beyond the ebbs and flows of arcane currents. He’d noticed a few wizards and mages on his way here, though none were inside the Temple at current. It wasn’t surprising, this Goddess was new. Though he found the idea of one who controlled all of magic to be a disturbing thought… ”Hopefully she’s not a tyrant.” He drew back his hood and lowered the cloth covering half of his face as he finally stood still. ”Knock knock!” One of his hands dropped to rest atop a spellbook hooked to him by a chain, the other was idle across his abdomen. He didn’t draw weapon or prepare to sling magic as he was accustomed to. He knew the power of the deities too well to ever try such a fruitless gesture. I swear if this is one of those ‘fashionably late’ types I may just off myself than have to deal with the reality that they control all of magic throughout Avalon. |

Goddess of Magic
|
There was someone coming to see her, and it would be best if she rose early - the magic stream whispered that tidbit of information to her, and she was all too happy to oblige. "I've had so few people come visit me, the rest of the magicians just want to test me, or stare," she thought to herself, as she sat up in the large white featherbed that she called her own. It was all too early still, the color just barely starting to paint the sky, but it was far to late for her to lay abed. She had duties now, a temple to take care of, and magic to read and monitor. There was no time to sleep, and since she was to be seeing her first real visitor, she wanted to get ready especially for whoever it happened to be. Two hours later, she could feel someone breach the aura's that she had wrapped around her domain, and she looked herself over in the mirror, having done many other tasks in the time. It had taken her ten minutes to brush her hair, and wash her face, wiping away traces of sleep from her eyes. Now, she gently applied a small amount of kohl to her eyes, and a gentle lip rouge. Selena liked the way it made her look; drastic and smoldering. For a moment, she stared at herself, and then she giggled. "I'm going to scare the poor lad. Oh well. He'll probably speak to me long enough to figure out I'm not frightening in the least," she said to the mirror, before turning and grasping her light blue skirts as she left the room, her gently worn boot heels tapping against the crystal marble floor. Tap, tap, tap. The shoes announced her arrival far quicker than she did. Turning a corner, she spotted him and her pace quickened. "Hello there. You must be the visitor I was told of. I'm sorry that I kept you waiting as long as I did, I had to rush from the other side of the temple." Her voice was kind and projected across the space between them, as she settled a good two feet away from him - she didn't want to get any closer, lest he would be intimidated or bothered by the proximity. "I'm Selena, goddess here. I'm sure you already can tell that however, and I won't waste your time with any more detail than that. Please, before you bother with that 'goddess' nonsense, call me Selena. It'll save you a lot of breath." Clasping her hands before her, she cocked her head to the side and studied him, her eyes falling on the spellbook that was at his chest. "I'm guess you're a magician of sorts? Is there anything I can help you with?" Straight to the point, as always, though she was always happy to listen to someone else speak. It would be uncomfortable if they both stood, so what she really wanted was a brief summary, and then she could invite him to sit down ... right? That wasn't breaking some strange etiquette, was it? Selena wasn't quite sure she was too good at this "goddess" business. |

[Yeah, I am really bad.] The echoes of footsteps bounded off all around him, the acoustics of the place seemed to be good. Then again, every place of ‘import’ seemed to have that particular attribute. He turned his head when the woman came into view and quickened, talking all the while as she came closer. She didn’t really stop except for air either, he could almost claim she was nervous… ”Yes, of sorts. My name is Bly…” He still wasn’t quite grasping his mind around her manner as all of his negative expectations had been slashed rather abruptly. It was still a good thing though that his preconceived notions were not holding water. ”Help me with? Not much I’m afraid, I’m only here on personal reasons. Visiting, I suppose, but that’s not really an accurate description either.” His body relaxed a bit. ”What I honestly wanted to see was who had ascended to control the weave of magic. Who she is.” He wondered if that really made a shred of sense. She was an odd one. That was all he could seem to focus on. Maybe this isn’t as bad as I was thinking it would be… well, I can hope. |

<ooc> Don't worry about it. We're all a little rusty. And besides, you only REALLY have to make it to 100 words for this place. C;</ooc> Of course she was nervous! Her first visitor, her first real visitor who actually wanted her for something. It was a triumphant moment, and she couldn't help but be anxious. Had etiquette changed over the hundred or so years that she had been mortal? Was she still supposed to great all of those who wished to see her personally, or was she supposed to have guards / retainers to do that for her? In any case, the man who was there to greet her didn't seem too ... put off by her brisk manner, and while he was speaking, she took a deep breath and tried to calm herself before she scared him away. "It's nice to meet you, Bly." His words weren't surprising and he hadn't been the only one who wanted to "see" her, though he was one of the few who didn't attack her on the spot. They all seemed to think that she needed testing, but Selena remembered the fight with the guardian and shivered. Testing? She'd already had that and didn't need more. She was glad that he was upfront about his reasons, and nodded her approval, smiling as well. "You certainly aren't the first, but I do believe you are the most polite. And the most accurate, involving the description of magic. If you want to get even closer, I suppose you could call it a flow. Magic makes its way in and out of the realm of Avalon, and I'm afraid that I am just a attentive watcher and mentor for those who wish to dabble in it." "On a personal level, I'm not sure how to describe myself. I've spent most of my life as an immortal, in a world far from Avalon- and then I ended up here as a mortal. To make a long story short, I was chosen again for this duty, and I have no clue why. Perhaps my experience, both as a goddess and a simple woman, make me ideal? In any case, I'm afraid I don't have much to offer you." Taking a deep breath, she nodded. "However, if you want to stay awhile, I know somewhere we can sit and talk .. and I do make a nice pot of tea, if I may say so." |

Cordial. The thought was simple, but it was a fitting description of the woman who stood before him. Honestly he was not in the slightest surprised he was the ‘most polite’, as she claimed. People tended to be self-centered and very high on themselves. Besides—if the regular old stories of the fallen Temples were of any clue, most followers chose to battle the deity to see if they were worthy of worship. He wondered what exactly they hoped for with such actions. Not to say he wasn’t quite certain that such powers as the one who stood before him couldn’t be defeated. The real question was how, and he wondered if he’d ever discover such an answer. ”I am sorry to hear of your guests thus far have not been more agreeable people.” Magic… you have to feel it to really know. And I can think of no words to do it justice. He left it unsaid at her description, as he felt she already knew that. Obviously, why wouldn’t she. However, he own description about herself left him fairly puzzled. ”So you do not demand dominance over your domain, you simply act as the sentinel and caretaker?” That was a new way of looking at it. If every other deity was a clue the power they were bestowed corrupted them regardless of intentions… whether such “corruption” ended in great destruction or righteous crusade didn’t seem to matter. This was news to him, he didn’t know deities were chosen. Such a reality implied a great deal of things. He found himself caught in his tongue. True, he’d always assumed something would have to grant such massive powers… but to think it to ‘choose’ meant a sentience. Now that was frightening. ”From anything I have seen of this world it seems the smarter option not to question why in regards to these events. There doesn’t truly seem to be a rhyme or reason as to whom ascends to what… or those deities who blink in and out of existence without so much as a sound. I am sure you will do fine, Selena.” It feels odd calling a Goddess by her name. ”I would be happy to oblige and stay. In truth I haven’t had tea in quite a time since a trip far to the north. I’d almost forgotten I’d developed a taste for it.” |

She had to be polite; there was no one she could really hate without having a deep aversion to their innerselves, and that hadn't happened very often in her life. He didn't seem to rub her or anyone the wrong way, and he was polite. She liked manners, of any sort. He had them, and she was a fan. It was one of the people she wanted to invite to sit and stay with her for a while, because he seemed to be interesting, and she wanted to get to know him better. She wanted to know his story - everyone had a story. The question was -would Bly share it with her? She shrugged at his apology, and then nodded. "How could I be 'ruler' over magic? Any user knows that it's a force that cannot be tamed, and it would drive me mad to try. When I was younger .. I did try, but now, I've given up. Magic can take care of itself, just as we all can take care of ourselves - sometimes it needs to be protected like any sort of person. I am a caretaker, and a friend. I fulfill certain places that others cannot." It was a rough description of her 'job' and she wasn't sure that he was following it all - but the best that Selena could do. Maybe it was a mockery or a downplay of her position, but it sounded nicer than anything else she could come up with on the spot. "I can't tell you anything about my ascension, or how one might go about doing so. I cannot tell you how much ... it seems odd saying it so easily now, because in reality, it was ... it still is..," a shadow crossed over her face. "To become what I have, I had to lose a piece of myself in the process. It - well, it hurts. To say the least." She smiled broadly when the subject changed and nodded to him, before grabbing his hand casually and leading him deeper into The Receiving Sanctum, where there was a table and two couches set up. With a flick of her index finger, a tea set appeared, and so did a plate of rolls and other sort of things - all filling and rich, something that you wouldn't expect. She needed the food for her next communion with the Stream, and she had no problem with feeding her visitors well. "Please, take a seat." |

She made a point. ‘Ruler’ might not be apt, but if that was the case, to what extent did the other Gods and Goddesses control the domains they resided over. Was it ruler or steward? Then again, how could one completely control anything so fundamental as the primal forces, the refined ideals, and the raw instincts they supposedly did. Maybe it was merely a joining to that force, a power such as to give the perception of such rigid oppression. Hm. He felt thoughtful. And ultimately he found a liking to the woman. While he might not be able to outright worship her, she was still someone to be respected. Not simply for the power at her command, but she was… well… different from everything he had seen or experienced within the realm of deities. She had so many qualities which were rare in just regular people, much less a Goddess. He was interested in her description of gaining the power. That she would have to lose a part of herself seemed distressing. The loss of freedom perhaps, or something more? He’d never know himself, unfortunately. At her behest he sat himself down. ”Thank you.” He helped himself to measuring carefully a cup, adding, at best from his memory, the measures Rika had done so long ago to gather it to his taste. Anxiously he brought it to his lips and of course to his disappointment he was completely off the mark. Not to say it was bad, but it was nothing to sing about. With a polite smile he helped himself to a single roll, taking a bite and letting the taste settle along his tongue. ”You’ve shattered everything I had expected to find in a Goddess through the course of several minutes. You are, plainly put, an oddity. No where near the arrogance of other deities which I had the misfortune of either coming across or being affected by in some form or another.” He wondered how to put it. ”I am pleasantly surprised, and, in a mild way, impressed. I have never been faithful, nor seen deities as beings to grovel at and worship, only a respect to the power that they wield. For you, it extends to the person, not the power, as well. At least… thus far.” He was hardly going to jump up and trust Selena with every bit of praise and admiration. No… he treaded carefully with their kind in mind. Perhaps over time she could change that. ”It is in my mind to assist you in any way I can... though I doubt I can do much.” He wasn’t high on his ability to exactly contribute to any greater cause. Still, it didn’t hurt to offer. |

Goddess of Magic

<ooc> All you silly people reply all at once. :] The other gods and goddesses likely had more or less control over their domain than Selena did, but it was folly to compare them. There was a significant amount of difference in being the god of Nature as there was being the goddess of Magic. Magic is not always tangible, it’s not always believed in, and sometimes it’s more of an idea. You can see nature, touch a leaf and know that it is nature’s beating pulse behind it. Too few times has magic touched Avalon, and destruction has been wreaked with the misuse of its power. Selena respected him, already. For not testing her, for coming and having tea with her, for being sweet enough to listen to what she was saying instead of hearing what he wanted to here. Those were all things that made her respect men more and more for what they could do. ‘Ah, this now, is a lad who will change the world. I’m not even sure he realizes it, but more men like him could change the entire course of this country,’ she thoughtfully said to herself, glad to have met him. Once every generation there was a hero, and for all intents and purposes, Bly could be it. She would be honored to assist him, though with many gods and goddesses, that was not the way things worked. He would be wondering whether he could serve her. It was a pity that she did not have any real agenda in Avalon. One could get so much more work done as a goddess than as a mortal. Reaching for the teacup, she poured herself a glass and sniffed it deeply, trying to pick out each of the individual herbs she had added to this particular mix. There were so many, with protective and magical properties, all brewed to a tasty tasting tea that could enrich the body with all it needed to last. For her, it was what kept her awake enough to monitor the magic all the time. For mortals, it would give them a sort of energy boost, though not enough to make them jittery or unable to sleep. It was sort of a strengthener. In a way. “You’re very welcome, dear,” she added kindly, picking a roll for herself and buttering it absently. “Please, eat all you like. I have far too much for a lady living alone.” “You’ve shattered everything I had expected to find in a Goddess through the course of several minutes. You are, plainly put, an oddity…” She frowned for a moment, before nodding a couple times, and thinking on what he was saying. She hadn’t met any other gods in Avalon, but she did remember what it was like when she was a goddess in her old land. There, she had been immortal and untouchable. She was the goddess you went to on the worst days of your life, and while she would pat you on the back, she would never hold you. That was too personal. Now … things were different. “Well, I guess you could say I’ve had life throw me on my ass before,” she intoned, bluntly. “I spent years as a mortal atoning for my mistakes, and I realize now that it’s not right to treat people like manure because you think that you’re so much better than them. I’ve been humbled many times by men I judged far too harshly. Magic does not take or give discriminately – why should I be the same?” “I’m glad you like the way I do things, and I’m very glad that you would like to assist me, though I’m afraid that I don’t have much for you to do. You’re welcome to hang around my temple, and I’m sure you’d learn a lot. I’m afraid that the jobs I require are more housekeeping chores … Avalon as a whole has no need for me right now. You are all still rebuilding from the Plague and the War. It is not my place to meddle in good things, or bad things. Just to tip the scales and keep things even.” For a moment, she sipped her tea and then she sighed, smiling. “Don’t I sound like an old lady? Really, Bly, I’m I need of friends more than followers, though I can find uses for both.” |

It was comforting to learn she’d come across her share of experiences, and ones that seemed to affect for the better. Still though, to him, this was all a coin toss. ”I hadn’t expected for there to be of much use for me; and I doubt ‘housekeeping’ would require my assistance given your capabilities.” It’s not like he was capable of commanding the power required to take care of things involving the weave. Artificially, perhaps, but not naturally. Bly was not an Archmage—not yet. He leaned back, having placed the tea down. He found himself absently stirring, watching the fluid circle round the vortex he had created. ”I do not know how well of either I would make…” Bly felt rather incapable in her presence. Any youthful bravado was otherwise lost on him. ”Why not both?” It was a question to himself as much as it was to her. ”I’m afraid that I have my own matters to attend to, so I don’t quite have the time to spare to spend too great a deal of time here. However… if there are the likes of scrolls or other articles I could study, even tomes, though I can’t say I enjoy that particular part of magic, I’d be more than happy to spend any spare time I can in these halls. And of course, I suppose a visit or two couldn’t hurt.” He raised the cup to his lips again and drank deeply. ”I will follow you. Though, I can not say I will curse your name to the skies when I stub my toe.” People tended to have that habit. ”Maybe, perhaps, I could be a friend as well.” He smiled. That was one thing he found himself pitying her for. She was now a Goddess. For all that power, for all that prestige… did it ever get lonely? There was a price to be paid for everything, and perhaps being ostracized was one. After all, who in their right mind was going to try and be friends with a deity? |

Goddess of Magic
|
Every experience taught you something, or so Selena believed - even if it was a lesson that was quite inconsequential to your goals. Everything happened for a reason, however, and with that logic, everything should be important, but life doesn't work that way. She wasn't one to argue her beliefs, because there simply was no way of knowing; however she would have to say that she had evidence, just as everyone claimed that they had evidence. Everything just came to a full circle at the very end, and human beings were so dreadfully bad at seeing the patterns. Had no one noticed that history had a bad tendency of repeating itself? OR did they just not care? 'What folly. Not everyone is the master of his or her own fate. Idiots don't even get a chance, pity they're the ones who live through it all.' "I do not know how well of either I would make…Why not both?” She shrugged. "Not many are willing to take both. They say it causes a conflict of interest, though I'd be happy to offer you both - I am not so rich that I don't have need of someone who willingly wishes to help me and my cause. By no means is the job tasking, in any way. It's really more of a formality, and only gets hard when you come to me and wish to rise up the ranks in my hierarchy. I don't just appoint someone Head Priest on the first day," she laughed, before shrugging again and pushing a lock of golden hair out of her face. "You'll start at the bottom. New blood for the Acolytes; I'm sure they'll be happy. I'll give you tasks. Every now and then, you'll get a task to help you prove your mettle. You succeed, and you move up in the chain." With that, Selena looked troubled. "Bly, I'm not asking you to die for me. Whatever task I send you on, I will be watching. I won't let you die, and I'll step in if things get too bad. I'm not the kind of goddess you're used to - I could never ask you to fight a war in my name. I won't make you go against your nature. I'll protect you. In turn, you'll protect me." "However… if there are the likes of scrolls or other articles I could study, even tomes, though I can’t say I enjoy that particular part of magic, I’d be more than happy to spend any spare time I can in these halls." At that, she was all too happy to oblige. Selena had been a scholar of sorts. "You haven't even seen any of my collection, and I'm sure you'll be thrilled. You just haven't been reading the right books- the ones you have access too are very ... elementary. I have tomes from the dawn of time, translated for those who can't read other languages such as Akkadian - or anything that you would consider 'dead' nowadays. And besides, that's not the only thing I special in. Artifacts, collectors items, I do know my fair share of battle magic as well and I do my best to try and teach my followers all, so that they can protect themselves. I can't show you how to handle a sword, but from the looks of you, I think you can do that fine already." "Maybe, perhaps, I could be a friend as well.” Selena's expression flickered, and for a moment she looked wistful - and sad. "I don't have many friends, dear. I think ... I'd like that. I'd like to get to know you better. I could read your mind and find that all out in a moment. I could show you spells and identify your true inner being, but I'd rather hear it from you. Spells just tell me what I need to know, sharing is a mark of friendship." <ooc> Sorry for the late reply! Since he's a follower, would you like to be moved into the 'Follower' member group? [ooc; Fine by me.] ”Perhaps it might, but I can handle conflicts easily enough; you just need separate the personal end from the business end.” Not many people could accomplish that. He wasn’t exactly spectacular, but it could be done well enough. Her mention of Acolytes allowed him an inwards groan. Bly didn’t really care if he had to start from the bottom up, that’s how life was, but the thought of stuffy and insolent magic users was not appealing. It was very rare to find one who didn’t think their way was the only way. And there was always a couple who held that annoying quality. ”I can do that.” He stated it with conviction. He’d done it once before, another time wouldn’t end him. Besides, maybe I can show some of these Acolytes a thing or two. ”I’m certain your collection will keep me interested and entertained for the most part—but, you see, I’m a ‘natural’, as they say.” He might have felt a beam of pride light up from within him, but he felt humbled. ”Not to say the methods of others don’t have merit, and I can utilize them well enough, I just prefer to feel it out rather than chant a cantrip.” He hoped she at least understood where he was coming from. From her voice however, he found himself curious towards the thought of artifacts. He’d never dare to go about trying to use anything, but objects of power and history were often one of those things curiosity simply drove most mages to try and unlock. Bly tilted his head. ”I can’t say much, at least for now. My life hasn’t been the most smooth.” It wasn’t that he was shy about his past, it was simply for the fact that they were still little more than strangers. ”I will willingly say I’m a soul of the road and the skies. The open wilds are as much my home as the city of Preah. And, I’m not half bad at playing music either. Making the notes come out in just the right harmony is as rewarding as mastering a new spell.” He smiled happily. It was incredibly peaceful playing an instrument… you poured your soul into the sounds. |

Goddess of Magic

Selena chucked. She liked the way he operated, to be honest. He seemed to be very down-to-earth, and blunt - that always earned points with her. She wasn't one to favor the winding words of some priests, who seemed to talk themselves into circles before ever thinking about her. ”Perhaps it might, but I can handle conflicts easily enough; you just need separate the personal end from the business end.” At least she knew she could trust him to get the work done quickly, and perhaps even quietly. He didn't seem the sort to run about proclaiming who he was working for, and it would mostly be messenger-ing for her anyway. Nothing special, but nothing she necessarily needed getting out to the general Avalonian public. After all, they probably thought she could time travel, with what she was being made out to be. "I just wanted to get that clear. I won't leave you for dead. I protect my own. You will become like my family, had they not all died years ago. And I will always come for you," she added earnestly. "And I don't doubt you - I'm sure you're a man of your word, and I don't doubt your abilities in the slightest." She resolved to keep an eye on him - all of those accepted to her service were for different reasons, and there had been some issues among the men about who was more 'macho'. She had a feeling they wouldn't take a liking to this obviously seasoned young man. "I’m certain your collection will keep me interested and entertained for the most part—but, you see, I’m a ‘natural’, as they say. Not to say the methods of others don’t have merit, and I can utilize them well enough, I just prefer to feel it out rather than chant a cantrip.” She had to laugh at that, because so much of it was true. There were people who thought that way, and she was struck by how much he sounded like her at his age. Even when she was in training for her position, she'd always refused books, because she had the touch that she thought no one could even match. And she had been gifted with exceptional power, but without theory, she damn near blew up the building and herself. Not to say that he didn't have control, he likely did. He wouldn't have lived that long without it. But everyone could benefit from a book. "You and I both, it seems. I think you'll find something for you in my collection. It's rather extensive." When he mentioned he was musician, she was interested. She was a great patron of all the arts, and there wasn't anyone who could really play worth anything near the temple. "That's incredible. I'm a fair alto myself, if I do say. I think I'll come to enjoy your presence here. Now, if you don't have a boon to ask, is there anything I can do for you?" |

Let's not make an ass out of 'u' and 'me'.

For what they were worth her words were a comfort for him. Maybe it soothed some type of inner turmoil or insecurity, but the thought of having someone watching out for you never ceased to make it easier to gather calm. True, he already had people, but he didn’t doubt she would keep her word. Of course it was rather odd for her to claim he would become like family… though ‘like’ family was still a bit of a distinction upon the subject, but any extension of friendship was a good thing to him. ”You and I both, it seems. I think you'll find something for you in my collection. It's rather extensive." ”Thank you for the opportunity.” There wasn’t anything more for him to say, and he certainly had no need as of the moment for the Goddess’ divine powers… and so he felt little as he went through a blank mind to think of something that he could possibly require. ”I don’t believe I need anything. At the least nothing readily comes to mind.” He shrugged gently. ”Though, if you don’t mind, you could guide me to your archives. Or if you would prefer I could begin some duties now. I have no rush to be anywhere for quite some time.” Even then, he could always teleport to a location if really had to take his leave rapidly. Not that he enjoyed the queasiness or the vertigo that he seemed to consistently suffer at long ranged transport. ”Perhaps it might be best to get introductions with others over with first. It is up to your discretion however.” Whatever the Goddess felt was most prudent he would be fine with. In truth the prospect of study wasn’t entirely displeasing to him at the moment. Curiosity abounded inside of him. He was quite interested to see the Temple. |

Goddess of Magic
|
Everyone is fighting a battle, or so it seemed to Selena. Everyone had their inner turmoil, their own personal clash between light and dark personalities. She'd only come to peace with the evil she could do by realizing that just as there was evil, there was also an equal amount of good in her. The idler she sat while people died, the more guilty she became, and so she made her deal then and there - she would help all those she could, just because she could. Not for any purpose, or reason - but because she had the strength to do so. Evil, good, bad, blue or normal colored, Selena was sworn to aid Avalonians. All of them, equally. She didn't have to like it, but she did have to do it. "Oh, dear, even if you hadn't been so eager to serve, I would have given you the chance. The things I have access to should not be held in any sort of dusty cellar. They deserve to be seen, and touched," she said cheerfully. "To keep them to myself would be a crime!" Bustling busily over the marble floor, she took a seat on her 'throne' suddenly finding herself tired after dealing with her first 'real' visitor. He hadn't been trying to test her, or make her bend to his will, but somehow that had made her more tired than the most skilled magician probing her. "He's so young, I bet that's it. He's blooming with life, but I'm old enough to be ancient by his standards," she realized, studying him. "He's blooming with life and potential, but I could be his great-great-great-great-great grandmother. Supposed immortality is a chore and a bother." Her own crotchety mental voice made her laugh shortly, and she shook her head to dissuade any questions. "Why don't you get acquainted with the Temple? I'll warn the other acolytes of your presence, and you can meet them later. We all eat together, you see. Otherwise an old woman like me would get lonely," she teased, before thinking and nodding for a second, almost agreeing with some thought. "The archives you can find through that door," pausing, she pointed at a door that slid out from the wall. "Really, there are four main rooms. From the archives, you can get back out in to the main hall that runs through this place. The dining hall is the door at the very end of that hallway, heading back into the temple. I have some things to attend to, so I regret not being able to be with you at the current moment, but please - feel free to explore." With a tired sigh, she closed her eyes and rested in her chair for a moment, before vanishing completely. ooc; Selena exits! Feel free to post again to round this topic out.
