Sujin had been roaming for quite some time now, with no real focus on were he is going, just letting his feet move. This day however, the Fang found himself in a place he didn’t even know existed. But what drew him here? Sujin didn’t know, but he could feel whatever was here once… magic, spirits… power whatever it was and still is… the Fang could feel even in his human state, whatever the power was in this area caused him to shiver, for his body to shake in ether fear or anticipation. For the first time since the youth faced a God did he have a sense of fear… as if he could lose is very life for just walking into this place, this dead city.

Infurnus on his back, the giant sword began to hum and resonate with whatever energy was in the area. It made Sujin cringe… what could be so powerful that with it just being spread about could cause Infurnus to resonate. But forward the Fang walked, refusing to step back even an inch… what lies in wait ahead of him?

Meji's feet were tired ans his heart was heavy, he had been walking for hours and no sign of anything interesting. When he found the Sakabato in the caves in Cloudsweep Peaks there was a note wrapped around the hilt. The note sent Meji on another quest, for the armor his father had made with magic properties and hidden in places Meji knew of. Meji looked up at the sky, he could almost see his family in the clouds "Father, where are the peices that you hid for me?" Meji came out of his daze he had been walking in to see something that he thought he would never lay his eyes on.

There stood the place his father had described to him, a place he had seen in his dreams. The spires held by Gods, he knew that place. His father had spoken of it as a place of magic and memory, now however Meji could feel something growing inside of his chest. Was it fear of what lay inside, or fear of the place not living up to his dreams?

With a hard, soundless sigh Meji walked up to the broken gate of the bridge. Taking every step was harder than taking the last, for fear was now gnawing at the forefront of his mind. Gripping the hilt of his Sakabato, Nashi Ren'ai, untill his knuckles were white Meji stepped off the last section of the bridge. Eyes cast upwards to the towering figures of the Gods his father had told him about Meji was gripped with a sudden desire to turn and run. He couldn't, he wouldn't and there was nothing inside the ruins to make him do so. Taking one final step Meji walked into the Ruins, ready to draw the weapon at his side.

Sujin continued to walk forward, as if he had a purpose, when in fact there was none. The energy here… whatever it was… was strong. Not sinister, nor was it holy. But the sheer mass of whatever it was Sujin couldn’t compare it to anything he could think of. The Fang did not fear power, he did not fear anything stronger than he… but this, this made him sick to the stomach and on edge. The Fang was ready to leap at the throats of whatever came for him, even with his power sealed Sujin still had his pride as a warrior… and he’d be damned if he let anything stand in his way. Infurnus drawn Sujin stood his ground and roared at the top of his lungs into the emptiness that was the town and castle beyond it.

“ALRIGHT! I don’t care who or what you are! I can feel you! I know your there… Come out so I can cut you up proper! I am Sujin! Lord of Flame and King of Dragons! I fear nothing! Not Gods not mages and defiantly not some faceless power!” Sujin’s battle cry echoed as far as the bridge itself. His voice show casing the heart of a dragon within. He was no weakling, the Fang was one of the strongest warriors to walk the lands of Avalon, and he wouldn’t go back on that title. Would it be here that Sujin rediscovered himself? Well that in itself was still up for grabs… but unknown to the crystal eyed warrior, did another that also seeks to find themselves had entered this ring.

Would he stand with the Lord of Flame? Or would he stand against him? What strange twist of fate brought the two together to this place? This place of magic, of strength, of power? Was there some type of god watching over him and the other? Or could it possibly be that both Sujin and the warrior who has yet to reveal himself came here by chance? But, what ever awaited them would be a trial that would push their capabilities to their absolute limits. So, Sujin accepted the challenge and has obviously made a promise not to crumble under this overwhelming weight that forced itself upon his shoulders.

Taking a few more hesitant stepps into the Ruins Meji's hand, if possible, tightened around the hilt of his Sakabato. This place did not agree with him, something made his heart grow cold, and making his veins flow like ice. A soft sound reached the young warrior, a sound he knew well. It was a small stone skipping over a larger one, the characteristic sound of silent footsteps.

In this place the sound seemed to come from the verry walls of the ruins, making the Maksed Man stand in a state of near panic. Another footstep reached Meji, this time he noticed it was infront of him somewhere. Stopping and bending his knees he slid his feet over th ground untill he was in the basic stance of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. The Last Banjin held his hand just over the hilt of Nashi Ren'ai, ready to strike at a moments notice.

A bellow sounded from a place not more than ten feet to the front of Meji, his hand twitched as he listened to the words. Muscles tense in the fingers, waiting for the sound of hostility from any direction. After a moment the voice stopped and Meji strained to hear movement, however there was none. The Man who called himself Sujin was waiting for the Hidden Warrior to show himself, for his power was not great enough to spark this reaction fomr the "Lord of Flame"

Meji stepped forward, into what little light there was in the ruins. He was behind the man who had a massive sword drawn, and the Masked Fighter needed to get the man called Sujin's attention. Looking down at the Sakabato he got an idea, grasping it by the hilt he pulled it about an inch from the sheath, then slammed it back into the steel plated leather bound Saya.

Sujin’s roar cemented his courage, the Fang was ready for anything and everything that this place sent at him. His challenge was to fight at his full capacity without relying on his draconic powers. Therefore, with a quick flick, the massive oar of a blade Infurnus found itself planted tip first into the stone of the road he stood upon. Sujin vowed this moment not to remove the limiter so long as his body drew breath, this challenge would be a test of his willpower… and Sujin wouldn’t take the easy way out and unleash the flame within. Oh no… he would fight this uphill battle weighed down. This was his trial, and Sujin accepted it like the heard headed warrior he was.

Moments after his challenge to whatever forces governed the ruins city, the sound of steel being drawn entered his ears. Spinning on his left foot Sujin whipped around grabbing Infurnus with his left hand in a reverse grip. The blade itself was held in a battle ready position, just in case whatever was drawing steel was the first challenge. His stance however, told that Sujin had no discipline, that it was lax, like that of someone holding a weapon for the first time. It wasn’t on purpose, nor was it some ploy to lure someone into a false sense that Sujin couldn’t fight. No… its just that Sujin had no formal training, but came to learn that “relaxed” is good, being able to attack from any point at anytime anyway.

“Are ya the first? Or someone else who undergoes these trials?” Sujin’s voice was cold, yet questioning. Sujin wasn’t about to let his guard down, Crystal blue eyes gave clue to him that this one was well trained, a warrior of skill and tactics like Siegfried, not brute strength and courage like Codrus or himself. Who was he? And for what reason was this one here… and if he gave the wrong answer, Sujin would cut him down without second thoughts. His heart was turned off… the savage within him had awakened. A fight for survival this will become… and you were ether fighting alongside him, or fighting against him.

Meji's face turned towards the stone floor, his reaction hidden under his mask. There was no way that a peice of his father's armor was hidden in those Ruins, the man who had made the enchanted steel was no fighter. Looking up at the sky once more the lost son asked his family of the heavens. "Father, why did you send me here?" The dark eyed fighter looked at the man infront of him, and then he noticed the difference between them. Everything about the two was opposite, everything down to eye and hair color.

With a small shake of his head Meji walked over and held out his hand to the man he was to fight with. They knew nothing about each other, and that mattered little to the young warrior, as long as this man was fighting next to him he would fight for both their lives. Meji's eyes flashed with internal fire as he looked into eyes of pericing blue,

Sujin’s fury began to subside… he had calmed himself if only a little. True enough he was pissed off that something that didn’t know who the hell it was messing with decided to challenge Sujin out of the blue with pure force of power. No, the Fang wouldn’t let something like that go unanswered, his pride as a warrior rested on his shoulders. Find himself in these trails the berserker would, as well as crush anyone and everything that stood in his way. Infurnus and his strength would see him threw it; there was confidence in his own abilities… even if this newfound ally had no strength to protect himself. The weak die… that much was a given. He had steel so Sujin expected him to know how to use it.

With a quick flick and swing, Infurnus came to rest over his left shoulder his left hand bent over the handle in a relaxed manner. This was both one of his “forms” as well as a resting position. The fang looked the masked youth up and down a few times and nodded to himself then turned back around. “Well lets head for that castle… my gut tells me that’s were this hell starts.” Sujin didn’t know how right he was. The first floor of this giant tower called a castle… would bring about the beginning of the berserkers very nightmares.

Meji looked at his opposite, the man carried himself with an air of importance. It was not arrogance that the Maksed Man saw, but a well deserved confidence. There was a simple grace in the way he flicked his massive sword around, something that told the young warrior the man he was to fight alongside had great skill.

Hiko Banjin nodded, replying in his own quiet way to Sujin's suggestion. Meji slid his steel out of the saya, and held it in his right hand. He waited for the other man to lead the way, he obviously knew more about fighting with energy and magic than Meji did.

The Fang stepped forward, his steps truly graceful but not in the sense of a dancers or a swordsmen’s. No, Sujin’s steps resembled something closer to a wild animal, an animal that had no natural predators and was effectively king of his domain. What was that domain you ask? Simple enough question… flame and combat in general. Sujin was a warrior with no true skill like Siegfried, nor did he have any utterly overwhelming strength like Codrus, what Sujin had was fury and emotion… true his strength was grand and enough to shake the earth beneath his feet, but he could not cut buildings down with a single stroke no matter how hard he swung.

After moments of walking, the young immortal had reached the gates of the castle. And without hesitation nor any prior thought, Infurnus came crashing down from its resting position on his shoulder in a flashing arc that seemed to leave a crimson trail in the sunlight, The massive door? Cut down under the sheer force of Sujin’s falling blade, the Dusk Strike. As the door came down, Sujin rushed forward, shifting his wielding hand to his right the dust clearing slowly to reveal a high sealing hallway, lined with exotic armors in every type of metal one could think of… copper, bronze, gold, even some forged from what seemed to be crystals like diamonds and rubies.

Almost instantly, the armors arose from their resting positions as art and became battle ready, wielding weapons of their armor composition in every style one can think of. With a grin painted on his face, and a battlecry that shook the halls, Sujin dashed forward as fast as his legs would carry him, the crystalline blade of Infurnus dragging the stone ground causing sparks to fly and light the core of the sword itself up. Let the fun begin!
