Being a fledgling she did enjoy being rebellious from time to time. Wandering away from the safety of her creator and ignoring simple rules was just a way for her to test her skills. At the moment she feed her inner beast. Her fangs deep into a merchants neck. He was a tall thin man and dressed in fine linen. She had picked up a fine taste very quickly and learned that the more money they had the better they taste. Her eyes shimmered in the dark alley as a growl escaped her throat. Warm blood running into her mouth and down her throat, like the sweet nectar of life. She savored it and listened to the sound of the mans heart slowing, slowing, stop.

Pulling back she licked the blood from her lips and let the body fall to the ground. A satisfied smile crossed her face as she looked down at the deceased man. She had learned something in this life, humans were weak minded weak bodied thing compared to her now. Their lives slipped by like wet string. The mortal coil was an unstable thing and people died often. The dark blue dress she wore was surly an improvement from the old dress. Not only did she have a better life, but she also looked like a wealthy person. Taking a step back she leaned against the wall lingering near the body, a mistake of hers for being careless. Her eyes wandered up to the silver moon, how the light played off her pale skin and the blood on the mans neck. It was like liquid ruby's in the night.

"Oh la…what a shame my dear.” She said with a French accent. “Should have been smarter.”

For a short time he stood there, arms crossed over his chest, shoulder against the walls edge at the end of the alley. Normally Julian would never bother another vampire, let alone a fledgling, as they fed however this one looked like one asking to be caught. Maybe at first glance one would confuse the act as a wealthy woman and her suitor merely tempting the fine tunes of intimacy away from prying eyes. He knew better though, the glazed eyes of the man announced this to anyone who knew about or were a vampire themselves, but could a mortal see this in the shadows? Julian didn't think so...but it had been a while since he was a human, maybe their sight at night wasn't as bad as he remembered it to be.

A faint smile traced his lips as the woman released her prey letting him fall to the ground at her feet. The woman gazed to the night sky in almost a drunken stupor he guessed, but then she was a fledgling. Though she had child like look of satisfaction on her face, the vampirism in her stated that her maker was possibly as old as he...if not older. Her words seemed to be just as much a loss in that stupor also as Julian uncrossed his arms, fastened the leather binds at each wrist of his tattered shirt, while approaching slowly. Unlike her he felt no need to dabble in the finer things of this accursed life, better to stay unknown and unnoticed in his line of work. The golden hue of his eyes danced within the shadows of the alley as he approached the fledgling, amusement lingering in his tone as he spoke to her. "One would ask, child, who is the smarter. The corpse at thy feet, velvet at his collar..." the pale of his skin slowly gaining color as his own recent feeding flooded the fine capillaries of his skin "..Or the vampire that stands above, drunk on unlife staring absently to the night sky, hmm?"

Julian chuckled lightly as he stopped near the man and kneeled down, his hand moving to the mans cheek, almost as if a secret lover. "Honey and finery, to each their own...." he whispered as he tried to sense anything from the dead man, maybe a glimpse of the soul morning the lose of its life. Nothing came though, no regret, no sadness. Tilting his head he then asked the corpse as though expecting a response " Were ye a tainted soul, or were ye but a moth entranced by her flame....Dangerous~...dangerous~ tsk-tsk" as he then looked to the woman over his shoulder "Did not thy sire teach the child that leaving evidence....playing at the scene were dangerous? Are not ye to be the wolf hidden in sheep?" as he stood, examining her as though a new specimen while trying to figure of what clan or kindred she were made as. Did she know of the sickness of his clan, or did she merely think he were teasing her.....no matter, all had to learn of the malkavian at some point or another.

With a quick jerk of her head she looked at the approaching vampire, if her meal had still been alive she would have been defensive over it, but alas he was dead so there was nothing to lose. Listening to his words she stepped away from the wall and looked down at the dead man with a nearly flattered look on her face and below him a kiss before stepping back. "Apparently he was the lest of the brains in this dance...this game of life and death, for he is cold and stiff and I have life yet. One should know never to fall into a ladies trance. Especially one with a dark beauty and untamed predator dwelling within her veins. I would say he would have learned his lesson for next time...but he seems to have no next time."

Her devilish French accent made her seem like both a playful young thing and yet a tactical one at that. Everything was a well organized game where the victor had been precisely planed out to always be her. Twirling slightly she flicked her hair and gave the new vampire a quick glance. "Besides...humans have poor sight, who will see me if I play with my food a little, I take pride in knowing I ended his life, why not flaunt it. he was after all a man...and I know what they do...their acts...their sins...pigs."

The last word was bitter and filled with a deep seeded rage that had been feed by those very men who felt they owned her. "My mother taught me very well to be cautious of course, but what is eternity without being reckless every now and then. Perhaps blame deaths on some passerby. When a woman cries murder they will always believe her...unless they are seeking us out intentionally...and that is not to often...humans...one track minds...all about love and lust...and I have proof of that theory." Looking back at the new vampire she smiled and held herself in a more friendly tone and posture. "I don't believe I have caught your name...I myself am called Delphine." She would be damned if anyone tried to take that name away once again. She would rip their throat out for even thinking about it.

Ah, a feisty one, Julian. Watch the cat for she has claws. The inner demon toyed as Julian listened to her. The hatred within her words, scorn from another life had carried over with her. He wondered though, as he listened, did she understand her own sins as much as she understood the sins of a man? "Hmm, the sin you speak of is the nature of a man. Pride, arrogance...fear. It is what makes them the more aggressive of the kine." he spoke calmly, watching the faintest movements and facial expressions, reading beyond the words she spoke. Yet at the same time he yearned to pry the memories that made her so resentful from the depths of her mind, something within him hungered for it. Not because he fed off the suffering, but every experience added to the collective torrent in his mind also brought new perspective. With her though...it was a block, a mental wall that blinded her more then it made her stronger. Perhaps she truly was drunk on the effect of being kindred now.

You see, that is the problem with humans. Too blinded by their emotion to understand it all. They see something and mark it as evil or good, there is only moral acceptance. This is why you vampires are the taint of demons, you cling to that emotion a hundred fold. While the demon had its points, Julian wasn't in the mood to argue with him just now. "And of his crime, to be man is crime now? For their flaw they must die? You are ignorant to think that all men fall prey to their weakness and that women do not." His tone changed, but not due to being offended by her remark towards men so much as her inability to understand what it was she herself now did. "Pray tell child; while basking in the self righteous indignity of your reasoning, did thy mind even see his true sins? Did the velvet caress thy inner cheeks in pittance, or did ye fall deaf in thy lust to satisfy the hunger, hmm?" had he not heard these very words once himself, the ones he spoke now, when first brought to this new existence? Irony he guessed.....we are all ignorant at first, too drunk with new energies and subtlest that we never saw before the change. His gaze wandered as he thought on this, mind slipping between then an now, but as her name were spoke his attention returned to her. " Nay, thy name were not told, but it be Julian. There be a lot to learn about what ye preach, Delphine. For as kindred that one track mind still exist, only the transformation augments it, perverse it.....I would say a fledgling such as ye has yet to see this." a small gesture were made with his hand as his head tilted to the corpse, eyes following a short time later as he tried to discern if he were even getting through to her, or if she only saw him as a "man" Which as far as kindred go, there really was no difference between man or woman....only the blood that sired them. "And because of that, kine like this will suffer....whether they deserve to or not."

Her wounds were still fresh, of what Wesley did to her, of what every man in Avalon City did to her, of the life her husband gave her up to, of how she was beaten and abused and avoided like a plague just for being one of the unlucky woman. They didn't know, what did men know of this pain. They were the masters...not the subservient slaves. Well now she was cut free of the coil and no longer a slave. She was free, free to punish as many men as she could for what was done to her. To Mercy, to Zandria, to Allena, to Cristina, to all the girls who made an impact on her life and suffered beside her.

"Sin...what do you know of their sin...you have never seen their ...true side. Do you know what it is like to have every man believe that he owns you...you yourself believe it yourself. That you are unworthy of love and for this you should suffer? I have every reason in the world to hate them for to long have I feared them, time they taste a woman’s scorn, my scorn, for everyone I ever loved, and who loved me. All the girls who's lives were lost to the dominant monster known as man."

Her words came out saturated with disgust and a fiery passion for her self righteous justice. She figured one day it would calm itself down, but forever that fiery hate would linger. No one could change it otherwise. So long as she lived she would hate Wesley and every man like him. Despite their bad taste she would kill as many as she could and set free all the hopeless girls they controlled. She was no saint for this, no more a saint then a sinner herself. She was not really anything, both killing for revenge and to help, but that didn't make even her less of a monster. Stepping closer she listened to his name and with a faint smile and a bow she replied with a brighter tone of voice. "Bonjour Jullian."

Some of his words did make perfect sense, she was being rather foolish taking out all her anger on one innocent man, but his blood taste much better then a street pimps and therefore he was picked as her victim, and hated because she was reminded of Wesley. That was reason for any man to die, at least for her. Perhaps unknown to others but just to her, did it really matter in the end. She had no soul, trying to make things right was pointless now, if ever she did die she knew just where she would go and their was no stopping it. Was their ever really a right or wrong…oh well, she would know…one day.

And there it was, he had hit the nerve in just the way to ignite her anger. It made him smile, if only briefly as it burned in her eyes. Had she been mortal she might have coward or even cried, possibly ignored his words, but kindred were more instinctive then that. In her anger came the ignorance he was trying to make her see, to overcome. However, she did not seem too willing to play the game, or were still too blind to see past the flaw of her reasoning as she appeared to be leaving now, marking it with a farewell. "It matters more then you know child, for those who live for eternity such as us."

Lifting his hand to his lips he turned from her, index finger and middle finger punctured by both fangs to clean up her mess. Clearly her maker had not informed her that masking a death within a small city or market was far more important then it were in the outskirts or a large city. As the blood trickled from the punctures Julian pressed them to the bite mark on the dead mans neck, that vampiric properties causing the fang marks to heal the skin as he spoke absently.

"For those without soul, but within eternities trap a different hell awaits. Cursed being, shall thy conscious
linger? Shall not it be thy devil and angel, savior or persecutor? No, we have no soul, but for all actions we partake shall never we forget. For we are kindred, we are eternal....but we are still fragile. In time our sins will haunt us, and we shall weep and understand just how truely weak we really are."

The wounds on his finger tips then healed as he checked the stain along the mans collar and smiled faintly. With a simple movement of his hand he slit the throat of the corpse along the jugular, that last remains of his blood pooling about the ground. Not much, but enough to suggest foul play rather then a vampire. "Kine may be slow, but they are far from uninformed of us, Delphine. Do not let thy clouded vision allow ye to forget that though a predetor, we still have our own enemies, and while single they pose no threat.....in numbers they are superior."

The hunters, yes humans who tried to kill vampires and some were very good at it. She had not been around for a long time and she had not yet faced a slayer herself but seeing them as humans she was very quick to underestimate them. A very deadly move on her part since she saw herself more as a social woman then a fighter. Even if the killer was inside her she would rather sit down and have a nice conversation about any topic of interest to her at the moment. This topic did indeed peak her interest. Those shrouded in the darkness hunting her kin down, like a fairytale legend turned into a nightmare.

"Tell me Julian...have you seen one of these humans who hunt us before? If so...what are they like? Rude, stupid, heartless, are they just as much of a sinner as we are...or have they somehow come to be known as noble?"

She stepped over the dead body again looking at the cut throat and smiling slightly. "Hmm...now why was it...that I did not think of that." Looking back into Julian’s eyes she sighed slightly and set her gaze at the people walking by the alley way. Like little ants they went on their way about life not knowing what has happened here in the shadows. Not seeing the two predators speaking right under their noses. These hunters however they were had to be damned daft if they did not see this as an obvious cause to be cautious or suspicious. Even she had suspicion and she had no to fear at the moment. "there is also another question I have been meaning to ask, but I have never got around to asking my sire. Where did this all start...dose anyone know...and who was the first?"

Once she knew these things she would not feel so naive and young. At least she would have an idea of the vampires history. Going further in depth was always a little more complicated because then it got into who turned who and what they did and who turned them and so forth. She didn't like long dribbling stories drenched with suspicion and idea, only cold hard fact that could be proven true or false by some grand book of knowledge though all things were not so easy.

Hearing her words Julian let his mind wander, he couldn't recall if he had ever encountered a hunter directly. Not one that were of the kine at least. There had been that elf, but his end had been swift...more so a suicide then a fight. The memories slipped by, but out of order, missing pieces causing him to only shake his head. "Had I, it can not be recalled. There have been too many..." slowly standing to leave the victims corpse to fate now. Were he to ask the demon it would only seek to surface, rather then try to relay the information for Julian to say. "...he would know, but I will not tempt to stir such a beast. Maybe another time."

Afraid I might bite, Julian? We struck a deal did we not? Ah, but then I suppose it is one thing to trust a stranger, and yet another to trust that of a cynical beast you know the danger of first hand. Very well, I'll let you be with the child.....for now. The demon once more teased, causing only a sigh in annoyance to fall from him as he turn to the hustle of the market streets. Each one of the kine running about, dealing their petty daily deeds while Julian pondered her next question...the source. "Many will tell tales, spurn lies and weave false hopes. Of what we know, the malkavians, Cain is the root that binds us. From him borne the entire family....and though the tale may vary from clan to clan, the name will not." Julian then glared over his shoulder, as though wondering if she would dare seek the father of vampires. "A warning, do not seek father for in the time that has passed since he yearned to share eternity the blood he gave has perveresed. We are no more his childer, only the childer of his childer. Mix the yellow to green and so shall the next be blue."

08 scavenger hunt.

Already found.

Halli had only here for a few hours before some one went missing. Either disappearances were something of the common in Avalon or vampires were following were he went. He was in his full hunting suit, minus the leather under side. It was too hot to be wearing such a thing. He was speaking to a distressed rich woman, her child behind her, playing with a few wooden blocks.

"My husband went missing. He was supposed to be home hours ago. He went out to check in with the other merchants. He could be at the tavern, but I haven't checked. You could start there." The distressed woman said. The child in the back looked up once before scurrying off through a door. Halli got the feeling that kids didn't really like him. They never really had. He walked off of the white painted porch, his metal foot wear thumping heavily down on to the wood. He stopped at a bench nearby and caught some sleep for the job before him.

---Some time later---

He started off in one direction, West, along the main street. He passed and brushed by many people, most of them stepping around him for fear of being nicked a little two hard by one of the metal grieves. He even stepped by a few plainly armored guards of military. They glared at each other as they passed. The wore only shield and sword, but Halli had a sword and a large crossbow. Most warriors looked down on hybrids fighting styles. Well, only in this place he found such people. In Valescovia, people who could fight with multiple fighting styles were revered as great warriors.

His train of though was cut off as he stepped nearer to the tavern doors. He opened the door and walked in, doing a quick scan of the crowd. In the corner, he noticed, a group of richly dressed men and women sat in the corner, drinking from fine crystal glasses, whilst everyone else enjoyed steel tankards. But first, the bartender.

Bartenders were a very good, abundant source of information. They noticed the little things that would be good for business later. Like people who didn't get drunk after so many shots. He tended not to like business with them. He couldn't get them drunk and start charging more and more as they became more and more unaware of their surroundings. They were a very raw people, but making a living was making a living. He killed vampires, others used alcohol to extort.

"Hey bartender. Can I ask a few questions?"

"Ask away son." He replied, picking up another of the glass mugs he had busied himself cleaning.

"Have you seen a rich man pass through, goes by James Patheon Corneille." Despite not having a sea bearing accent, he gave it his own rich, North Eastern accent, much similar to French, but closer to that of Scandinavian. It sounded like the title of a rich snob. It was the name he was given by the wife.

The bartender just looked at him and nodded to the group of rich dressed men in the back. "Ask them."

He frowned and the bartender just laughed. "I don't like them either, but they are the only ones that would associate with Patheon. He was a right jackass, he was." The bartender went back to his glass and Halli looked at the men. Towards the outside were leaner ones, most likely the sons and near the center would be the wrinkly ones, the older and wiser.

He approached the group, and much to his distance but not his surprise, some of the younger, more muscular men broke from the group and approached him.

"What do you want, peasant?" One sneered. He was obviously the leader. Broad shouldered, self centered, with an arrogant air about him. Halli hated this guy already.

"I want you to get out of my way fast... before I make you." Halli threatened. He curled up one fist. He had taken all of his plate armor off from the waist up.

"You want to start something, poor boy?" He jeered back. His friends all laughed. What kind of lame come back was that. But all the same. Strike one.

"Only if your stupid enough."

The noble recoiled at that. They were supposed to be the educated type. Looks like not so much.

"You want to back that up? Or do you only talk, pig filth."

Strike Two.

"Well? How about you maggot? You gonna do something, or do you need mommy to help you?" That was crossing the line. Strike three.

Halli stepped forward and, as expected, two of the others tried to get a handle on him by grabbing his arms. Halli punched the first in the throat, knocking him to the floor gasping. The other that had his arm, he swung, trying to hit the loud mouth. Loud boy moved and Halli took the initiative. He jumped over the man holding him, kicking the Loud noble in the face and upon arrival, using his momentum to fling the one holding him over his back and face first in to the wooden floor. He was still. He went and stomped the Loud mouth once to get him to quiet down, making a large racket. The rest of the group was stunned, looking on wide eyed. Halli shouldered past them.

"Any of you old folk willing to talk?" Halli kept his voice sharp and his speech to the point. One of the older men raised his hand and Halli narrowed in on him.

"Do you know Patheon? James Patheon Cornellie? The old man nodded his head.

"Have you seen him in hear recently or at all today?"

The old man furrowed his brow in though as did the rest. They were all thinking. And they all muttered an assortment of 'nope' and 'sorry' and 'no' and whatever else they said. When he had heard the first 'no', he was already turned around. Stepping outside, he enjoyed a breath of fresh air. It had smelled of fine alcohol and old men in that corner. He set off back down the street, heading East.

When he hit the market, he went to the shop that she recommended. Well, the book store. Or what was it... some trade place that rich folks went to, seeing as books were really expensive. He stepped in and walked up and about, looking and asking everyone. All of them had no idea where he was. Now it was really time to start a different hunt. For his murderer.

---A few minutes after leaving the book store... or trading center.---

Halli was in full armor, the metal glinting in the moon as it started to rise. He shouldered his crossbow and set off, peering down each alley way as he passed. When he reached the near edge, he began systematically working his way back into town. He was soon rewarded. He found the vampire conversing with someone else. He silently slipped up the side of the building and sat at the top, listening carefully. The male was making very good sense. He agreed with him a lot on what he had to say. Why did vampires hunt humans? His people understood they needed food, but when the swarmed an area and killed everyone, burnt down entire villages and killed innocent people, they had to be stopped. He would never kill a vampire that was merely hungry. He would do one in that was out for revenge.

The woman on the other hand, had a twisted and biased view of things. Man was evil because she had to suffer, yada, yada, yada. Shit happened. That was why he hated vampires. He lost a brother, a girlfriend and then later a fiancé" to them. She had a very... stereotypical view of men. A group of them shove her around and now the entire male sex is the same? Preposterous. He stayed where he was, not removing his eyes from the two, listening intently. He wanted to hear what the man had to say before he moved in.

As Trist was wandering through the Market she frowned when she saw Delphine with someone else who seemed to be cleaning up her mess. After the man finished speaking Trist walked out in the open and said "Why hello Delphine. How are you my darling?" Trist looked at the male vampire smiled and bowed slightly. "And you are?" Trist looked around and wondered if there were any other Vampire watching in the shadows around them. Looking down at the body Trist wondered why Delphine had picked him. She looked at her child with some confusion hopeing that Delphine would answer her with out her even haveing to speak. Trist smiled when Dale come out of no where and jumped onto her shoulder. As Dale did what he was doing Phobos and Deimos started crowing and they perched themselves on top of the buildings that were around them. Trist looked up to find them and when she did she nodded in respect to them for all their commitment towards her then she looked back at Delphine with a smile.

"Cain?" She replied with interest in her voice. As he told her not to seek him out she lowered her head and thought over it. Why would he not want to see all his kin, why be so unwanting of them? Even if she was only a 'grandchild' could he still not tell her the importance of their kin? She wanted to know everything, be a big part of the community and just simply belong to the vampires more so then the streets rats wandering behind her in the alley.

"Well as far as these hunters come...it seems they have no grand impact on our world. Just more mindless humans trying to make a point and acting rather foolishly by doing so." Hearing a familiar voice she turned around to see Trist. With a bright smile she moved towards the woman and stepped beside her feeling much safer around her creator...her sire. Trist was all she had anymore and she was thankful for everything she had done for her.

Almost like a small child showing off a new trick Delphine pointed to the dead body and spoke up to Trist with a sense of pride. "Look what I found. I rich merchant. I followed him half the night, he was a married man but still I caught him going to a whore house. Once I saw him enter I knew he had to pay...just like Wesley." Looking down at the dead man she smiled. His strong chiseled chin and fit body was a painters dream. Bending down and picking up his head she gave him a half hug and with a slight insult she continued. "Isn’t he pretty...I was not hard for me to seduce him into the shadows. Perhaps he should think more about those he loves then his own needs. It would have saved his life."

Letting his head go she let it drop onto the hard cobble stones and stood back up dusting off her blue dress. Tilting her head sideways she could hear the faint heartbeats of someone, yet they were not on the street. The heart was pounding over their heads, but it was so faint, Human or beast was all she could think. Looking up she squinted her eyes and stepped closer to Trist again. A cold chill came over he body as questioning eyes looked at her sire.

(( italics are all mental :x so I don't cause any confusion))

Listening to the fledgling as she once more mocked the stupidity of mortals, and not just any, but the hunters, a slight sense of irritation were felt. Someone near? Julian let his eyes scan about as echos of another time lingered in his mind '..thy blood shall be payment enough....' anger....they were near, threatening... '..not all the same after all, here I thought souless creatures had no heart...' patience also, but from who did it come from?

Julian.. The snapping of fingers echoed within his mind as the demon pulled him back, the young Delphine finishing her harsh words. The images fading from him. The silver ring on his middle finger felt as though it irritated his skin, causing him to absently fiddled with it. Spinning it slowly, a wedding band, as though deep in thought before he answered her, his voice distant. "A hunter, by any means, does not seek end child....were that who hunt the wolf to kill them all, where would he go? The job done, the need no longer...." The irritation subsided, but only slightly as the faint sound of a scoff tickled at his ears....who was near? "...if the wolf all lay dead. That is not a hunter. Kill with out reason, remorse...and all but a murder shall ye be. Hunter be that of another kind....population control..threat control." The little speach ending as the voice of another were heard.

"Hmm, another for the dance?" he answered, head tilting as he acknowledged the new arrival. The crowing of her familiar overhead as another pranced about her. His eyes narrowed as he examined this new one, another woman. It only took a few moments for him to realize this were Delphines' Sire, the emotion of...pleasure? No, profound happiness so easy to confuse the two sometimes. It overcame Delphine as soon as the voice had been heard. Still fiddling with the ring, his hand raised to his mouth for a moment before pointing to the corpse Delphine now adorned like that of a trophy as he answered "Would seem that of a servant, to thy spoilt child this night...." his distaste for his own kind began to surface slightly, but more so from the fact the fledgling had degressed to that of..a child seeking praise for her deeds. He never understood the need to seek praise from ones sire, but then he and his Sire had never been close....not after what he had done to Richter. The thought of it made him smile faintly as though attempting not to laugh over the incident. "...one of who need be taught much more before left to dance with the moon."

The strange emotions came again, his eyes looking to both of the woman before him. It wasn't coming from either of them this he were sure of. '...what were you thinking?!?' Shock....yes, that is what it was, but why? His eyes too now looked upward as he honed in on the origin of the emotion, following it like a scent. 'Ah, interesting... he thought as he realized the pattern, understood the emotions. It would be amusing to see how this played out if what his mind though were true. With an amused tone he spoke his name to the newcomer as his eyes returned to her "Thy corpse be named Julian, thy ilk know thee as Jackal...." a smile crossing his lips as he bowed gently ....this could get dangerous, Julian. Of how shall ye play thy pawn to this one? The demon queried him, also piecing together the same conclusion as Julian answered back mentally to his counter-part 'That, of course, relies souly on thy new piece....menace.'

Demonic Vampire
Trist smiled and laughed when Delphine was showing off her work. Hearing that he really did nothing to her she lost her smile. Looking around Trist noticed that someone else seemed to be near, someone that she knew. While shakeing off the feeling Phobos and Deimos came down from where they were perched. Smiling at them they both bowed to her. Hearing the mans name she smiled. "Julian, I like that name." After her throught ran through her head she had looked at Delphine and smiled as to how she was comming along in her new world. Looking back at Julian she smiled. "The name is Tristanis. It is a pleasure to meet you." After she spoke Dale came out of no where and jumped into her arms. "This is Dale and the two crows are Phobos and Deimos." As Trist said their names all three animals bowed their heads slightly to Delphine and to Julian.

Putting a hand on her sires shoulder she cocked her head sideways and asked glancing up to the roofs, "Do we know who is above us watching like a bird of pray?" She could be rather naive about her new life, but she was no fool and she was very weary when someone became suspicious. Almost taking cover behind her she glanced back to the other kin and squinted one eye slightly. "You wouldn’t know him would you?"

Her smug pride for killing the man ceased to be and she acted more as if she had never kill a person in all her days. In no way did she want to be shot through the heart or set aflame by some self righteous madman. Instead she made her appearance more submissive and innocent like any respectable lady of wealth. Just as her parents had drilled into her brain. She even looked down at her feet trying to make her seem the least threatening when she was probably the most likely to attack someone pursuing her weather it be that pursuer was after her for love or for a little security knowing they killed a vampire.

If eccentric is crazy, then I'm quite mad.
((OOC:wasn't going to post till Halli did but, it's been like 8 days so...continuing on))

Julian looked to Tristanis' familiars and chuckled faintly, his hand moved as though to pet Dale but recoiled sensing the distrust from it. "A pest once shared thy nights, short lived creature to say the least." as he recalled the rodent he once traveled with. How long ago had that been? When exactly had they died? He couldn't remember, only the important things could be remembered, but the details surrounding them was another story. "Short lived, but useful in such as to extend the senses"

His attention then shifted to Aleera as she hid behind her sire, the child like tedancy that took over her. Did she sense the other at such a young age, or were she just paranoied? That answer came soon enough as she shot a conspicuos glance towards him and seemed to outright accuse of knowing who it were. This brought s small fight a laughter from him as he heard the words, the sense of fear crept into her as though she finally realized even immortal beings could die. "Ah, so much to learn still child. Ye of arrogance and pride, sufferer of thy mortality. Suchs chains hold no..." suddenly his words trailed off as though a realization came to him, didn't he still remained shackled to mortality himself? Careful what ye preach Julian, for still there in lay thy own problems, no? the demon within chuckle echoed within his mind as he muttered the last of his words to Aleera, the cruelty of the words appearing to have lost their purpose "..place to the realm of immortality. Cast away...thy chains...hmmm"

For a few moments he thought on his words, the ring on his finger spun in thought as thought troubled by his own revealation. If so one must cast thy chains....should not she be cast to our past? he thought, remembering that one of his past still lingered between this world and the next. Oddly the demon did not answer to this as though ignoring the question entirely. Shaking his head he then looked to Aleera once more "Nay child, of this guest did not I invite. If any are to blame, would be ye, child." As he pointed to the corpse of her victim, eyes still locked on her. "Though scum to ye, husband and father to other he be. Did not ye think they would not notice him missing so soon? Pay attention to thy mark before being blinded by they arrogance next time...."

His eyes then looked to Tristanis again, his demanor slightly aggitated but more so by his revealation then this situation now. "You know of what lingers within the shadows, one would hope? Surely ye had sensed this also, but how to proceed? Will ye let thy child learn such lesson..." as Julian took to leaning against the wall across from her, the cool brick somewhat soothing against his skin as it absorbed the heat from his last victims blood that now pumped through his viens. A vagabond that none would miss, one who stole and lied. No family to worry, no friends to miss, only a nameless corpse to be found the next day. At least he had taken the time to know his victim before taking him from this world. "..or will ye protect her?"
