Reya moved swiftly and brought her blade singing through an enemies neck. "Foul beasts. I will send you back to the abyss that spwaned you!!" Her blade twirled in mid air, as she reversed the blade and brought it back past a small demon. The demon garbled out a reply in it's foul language and then tried to catch it's entrails as they spilled from the large cut across the stomach. Reya brought her armored knee quickly up into it's face, caving the creatures face into it's skull. Her hexagramic wards weakened the vile creatures around her, and her blade seemed like a scythe through wheat on them. But there were too many even for her to fight by herself. Reya spun around and kicked a creature who had made a weak jab at her arm, only to be deflected off her bracer. The creature spun backwards tumbling into some others of it's kind. "By the burning pits, how many of them are there?" Her voice was a bit cracked from the burning smoke that the creatures had made. Reya grabbed one around the neck and used it as a shield. She hacked left and right cutting anything that got close. She finally had cut down the last of them, and she squeezed the one she held till the pressure crushed the creature's throat and it's eyes popped. "Filth." |

Za'reth raised an eyebrow at the site beneath him. He had been hovering above ground for awhile, flying solely for the sake of the view. From his view, he could see a single warrior mashing down several demons. It was like a one man army. Za'reth would lower himself, hoping to aid the being. But he had arrived to late. They had taken all the fun. Then Za'reth noticed that "it" happened to be a woman, which didn't really surprise Za'reth. Not everyday you see a female of the human race tearing down demonic creatures single-handedly, but the long life he had had seen much stranger. "'Ello there, lass." |

Reya turned to the new person and eyed it up and down. A dragon...she seemed to be a magnet for dragons lately. The last one in the Blackmoor, now this one. She sighed a bit hoping that it would be another enemy for her to vanquish, but then it called her a lass. Reya's eyes narrowed and she glared at the dragon. "Lass? That's a name reserved for whelp of a female humans, Dragon. Besides that I could probably pass off as your three times great-grandmother, for all I know." She snickered at her own joke. "I am the Archangel Reya "Dawnbringer", dragon." Reya's tone brokered no challenge to the name and she continued to glare at the dragon. "You best be here for a battle, because a battle you'll get. That was only the first wave, the next should be coming soon. Steel yourself dragon, the enemy will come in numbers untold. Strike from the sky while their attention is focused on me, and we shall throw their ranks into discord." |

OOC- Hope you don't mind me replying. IC- Dhar'leth looked on as the celestial young woman repelled a wave of demonic entities. He nodded with approval at each masterful stroke, the black blood of the demons painted the ground with a satisying splash as it fell. Dhar'leth could not help but draw a comparison between her blade-work and the artistry of an old master. He drew personal satisfaction from seeing the underlings of his enemy slaughtered, their foul entrails festering upon the ground. Dhar'leth stepped out the shadows, revealng himself to the two onlookers - both the young heroine and the man who joined her. His heavy robe grazed the ground, depositing the colours of the dirt onto the gold-yellow hem. He made minimal noise as he advanced, the lich did not utter so much as a single syllable nor was there any audible percussion from his walking. He stopped but two metres away from Reya and Za'reth, paying little head to the bloodied blade of the Archangel which she held so firmly as if anticipating yet more demon spawn. The old wizard knelt beside the largest of the infernal corpses, staring into it's empty, souless eyes. He cradled it's bloodied head, gripping the slaughtered behemoth by it's matted black hair. The magi whispered gently into it's ear, as a mother trying to calm a restless child. The demonic beast arose screaming, it's soul having been cruelly ripped from the afterlife and transplanted back into it's mutilated earthly form. The creature ran it's clawed hands across the deep laceration running along it's spine, it vainly tried to push the bisected flesh back together again only for the two parts to divide once the pressure was lifted. "Where are your brothers and sisters?" The monsterous entity did not reply immediately, dumbstruck by it's return to life. After several seconds Dhar'leth revisited this line of inquiry, he did not raise his voice or show the slightest hint of impatience. The demon answered hesitantly, "They are coming." With that Dhar'leth released his necromantic grip on the creature's anima; it dropped to it's knees, sighed deeply, and fell face-down upon the ground having expired for the second time. In the distance a primal scream sounded, not human, not animal. With his right hand Dhar'leth loosed the axe that hung from a ring on his belt, he gripped it firmly and prepared for war. He turned his gazed to the direction of the scream and spoke, his words this time intended for Reya and Za'reth, "You have made yourselves the enemies of Farah Tel-shkitah. As her enemy you are my friends." The lich glanced towards Reya, was it a mere coincidence that an Archangel was battling the hordes of a great, terrible, and vastly ancient demoness . . . or were there two wars being waged? ~Dhar |

Reya felt a chill presence wash over her as a being of undeath stepped from the shadows. She nearly turned and hacked him in two, but the growing presence of the demons held her back. The creature spoke to her as if she were it's friend. Reya snarled at it, "I am not your friend, so do not act like I am!" Reya's sword glowed and she smiled a bit. She knew that if this creature where evil it was being weakened just by being in her presence. Her hexagramic wards all over her body weakened any evil creature substantially. "You're an ally of convienence, scum. When this battle is over with, leave my presence or I will cut you were you stand." Reya turned her attention back to the battle to come. The dragon had seemingly left the group and she smiled. "More heads for me to harvest amongst the damned. May their masters take pity on them, because I will not." The horde filled over the hills like a black wave of unholy blasphemy. Reya's lips only curled more at the sight of the hundreds of demons...coming to die. |
