If the heart is just an organ, what is love?
|
Here it is...The day of the wedding. Saix never thought this day would come. Vensint a married man, no more killing anything and everything, and no more hanging at the tavern. First thing that poped into his head was the fact that Vensint wouldn't be the same. Wait a second. Vensint will always be the killer we all know. At least I hope. The air was beging to pick up speed, but it felt great. The wedding was suposed to take place in a few hours and it was at least an hour away from where he was. The grass was a beautiful green and the sun was shinning at its best. This day will be great. Saix walked into the open field then whistled. Leon swept down from the skies and flew him into the air. In the air he saw a Wyvern in the distance. Vensint? |

Married, Master? Jax's wings beant under himself and Vensint. I know you get lonely at times, Master. But this? You will forever be barred from the things you usually do! Vensint DeLucas was getting married. Of that no man can change, living that is. Yes Jax. I will be a married man. For the first time in my life. Do you realize that I am 228? If I hadn't have been sent to Hell I would be bones now. I just don't want to think of when I can't lift my blade and be alone in this world, Jax. Vensint tugged at his suits collar. He was already being changed. He had left his bine armor for this... this... what ever it was it felt terrible against him. If he were to fight he would be limited for sure. But it was all in the name of love. Few things will never change however. Vensint still carried his sword with him and his all black cape matched his all black suit, so he wore that also. Vensint spotted his only friend other than Lydia, his bride. Saix was standing at their meeting spot with Leon. On time. This is truly the end of days. First I marry and now Saix is early? Something is amiss in the heavens. Jax landed a few meters from Leon and Vensint dismounted. He walked over to Saix, silver hair trailing behind him. Saix. It is good you got my invitation. And you're here on time? I feel I might be getting old... Vensint smiled widly and pulled Saix into a hug. But first we fly! Vensint let out his signature laugh as he strode back to Jax... |

A pretty porcelain doll.

People fussed over her dress trying to keep her still. As if she were a little girl she moved about impatiently, worried was more the word. She only hoped Vensint would understand that she did not want to give up her job. She loved him...but killing people for a living was also a passion that she swore she would do till death. Being a stay at home mom was not her idea, but if Ven wanted her to be one she would. Sora sat on a mans arm, he was going to fly her after the ceremony over the wedding party. Her pretty little falcon had a small wreath of flowers around her neck and look allot like some demented morning dove. Sora understood what was happening, and she seemed just as gitty as Lydia was. The raven her soul however did not approve of this. He was her soul of course, he knew what she had to do in order to be happy and he wanted her to spill blood and live up to the word, the oath she took. In honor of all those who died, however her father was still an Assassin even after he married her mother. This was a nervracking day, last time she trusted a man her life was ended. Swooping down low her raven dropped a black feather to the ground, his voice ringing through her ears. "Caw, caw, watch your back or die shamelessly a second time." She ignored the bird, he was not going to destroy this perfect day. Still that fluttering sensation bothered her. Nervousness, she had never in all her life felt like this, even on the day of her first kill. Straightening her posture she pushed it aside. She had to keep a level head, she could never lose control of the situation. |

Halli was honored. This would be his fourth marriage, having married off three sibling and a neighbor at home. He always loved doing his job. He wore his nice black traveling cloak, a black shirt and pant beneath, a belt with a silver buckle and of course, white cuffs and his collar down. He had a beautiful deer skin cross belt, running under the coat, but coming out of slits in the side of it, along his back resting his quivers and crossbow. Under his clothes, he only wore his chain mail suit. He didn't like bringing weaponry to weddings, but it was tradition and a safety precaution. Not far away was the Smugglers Highway and if someone found tracks leading here, they could very easily try and crash this most glorious of occasions. He shoved such thought aside. The sun was still up, the place smelled lovely and the small amounts of noise made by the gathering guest didn't bother him in the least bit. He was sort of puzzled as to why he was asked to do the ceremony. Most people would go for people certified to do this kind of thing. He was far from it. He was taught by his dad, while not the greatest of warriors, a great religious leader. He remembered his dad. He had married himself and his mother all those many years ago. He smiled. He set to work, doing what little he could, just messing around with some things. He had fires set up at the top of the long golden polls. Normally, under the heat, the gold would begin melting, but this was something from home town Valescovia and could take being dipped in lava. He blessed the fires and they shone white in the casks at the top. He stepped back, slightly tired, his muscles feeling a little bit tired. A good sign. He then summoned up a ring of light around the alter and then remembered. Shadower. He quickly turned it off. He simply blessed a bottle of wine and set it out to the side. He left the others as they were. Not everyone was holy. 'Better yet...' He thought. He grabbed the blessed wine and put it in the open backside of the alter. He ran a hand across the top of it when he had finished. It had been a pain in the ass to get his father to let him bring it here with him. It was light, collapsible and pretty at best. It stood out against its black clad user. The weather outside was gorgeous. A nice breeze, flowing from the North, bringing in slightly cold air. The sun was setting, casting a field of color along the bottoms of the clouds, birds were singing and the insect life was beginning to come out, calling out to others of their species. The leaves on the trees growing again, flowers blooming. Definitely the prettiest of seasons. He had always loved Spring. He grabbed his obsidian cross and pulled it out of his shirt letting it fall on his chest. Another part of Valescovia, though not having to do entirely with the ceremony. Looking at it, he though to himself. 'Now we wait for people to start arriving.' Edited by Halli, Sep 24 2008, 08:10 AM.

Zetsumei walked about the area, a cloak shrouding his visage from the suns deadly rays. There was something about this day, this place that was rather odd. 'Twas in the distance that he spied was seemed to be a gathering, a gathering for what and why? Curiosity drew upon the vampiric figure, legs moving of their own accord. A midnight suit of the fienst silk was draped about his form beneath the cloak used to protect his flesh from the sun. A top hat was clutches within his right hand as the wind gusted and raged, trying to tear the cloak from his visage. "Well, well, well, what is it I am about to stumble upon..." The question passed his lips, nimble fingers twirling the hat while maintaining a firm grip. Something nudged as his mind as cyan eyes gazed onward, everything growing ever clearer. The sun was still up in the sky but night drew ever nearer, such a time he had to wait to free himself of the stifling hood. A tune arose within the deathly pale man's throat, threatening to burst out into a song as the time grew on. |

She looked at herself in a small mirror that was being held up by a small boy. Her hair was half pulled back into a bun and the rest left to hang behind her back until one of the women pushed it all over her left shoulder. Bending down quickly Lydia picked up the ebony feather and stuck it into the bun with a smile. Now she was whole, with a part of her soul on her body. Standing back up she felt a strange sensation come over her and became rather dizzy. Tipping over part way a few of the people helping to get her ready had to hold her up. She lost consciousness for a moment, everything went dark and then in a flash returned to normal. Her head was spinning for a moment afterwards but she ignored that. Feeling slightly sick she passed it off as nerves. Of course she was nervous, this was completely scary and sill of her. A married woman, what was she thinking, she could never be a perfect wife, not now and not even when she was just a normal human. "Are you alright my lady?" Asked an older woman who had been trying to straighten out her dress. "Yes I am fine...just a little...nervous I suppose." "I would not be so sure Lydia...you never know what surprises you will find on a day like this." Lydia looked at the woman who seemed to show a hint of a smile before going back to putting a necklace around Lydia's neck. What in the gods name did she mean? She hated older people, they seemed to always know everything but never told the younger people information straight forward. It would have helped since now she got that butterflies in her stomach and felt rather ill. Guests filled in and she wondered when she was going to be summoned for. All she wanted to do was get this over with before she had second thoughts. |

Jorgan had been out for a while. It was nearing the end of this shifting period, and he had to find something else to change into quick. He was in a horse form now, and was running over the prairies. He stopped out of his trot, and put his head down. He ate a little bit of grass, and his body started to shrink smaller and smaller. He slowly went down, until he was a squirrel. He had to be careful in this form. Small animals were most of the time prey to others. When he was the right size, he bolted off across towards the big commotion. He got closer to the crowd, and ran up a tree, and perched himself in the top of it. He was curious on what was happening. He saw several people from a distance, and he decided that he should investigate more. He ran back down the tree, and shifted into a tall blond in a tuxedo. He walked towards the party, and kind of stood in the background, trying not to be seen by anybody. |

Vensint stepped off of Jax. He had just landed at the Evening Glow Valley. He looked around and pulled at the tie he had around his neck. Saix should be somewhere behind him. Jax looked around and trotted over to the tree line to find his dinner no doubt. Where is my bride? Vensint asked loudly, hoping to catch the attention of the man standing by the alter. |

Slowly the ladies escorted Lydia towards Vensint. The raven feather tight in her hair, her dress trailing behind her. She looked both frightened and dazzling. This whole concept of marriage had never been for her, but now it seemed only to be the right thing to do. The butterflies in her stomach fluttered rapidly now the closer she got to the alter. That sickening feeling increased and for a moment she swore she would fall over again. Finally she stood next to Vensint and with a quiet voice to avoid other ears she whispered. "Sorry it took me so long, I was dealing with something." It was something alright, if only she could figure out why she felt so out of control. As if she had been spinning around and now watched the world spin around her as she stood still. Weddings always brought out the worst of people, tears and laughter. |

Whiter than Ice

Halli was now drying a dry rag over the cover of the golden bound holy book, the one he would "read" the sermon out of. He was going to use one of Valescovia's of course. But for the hardcore religious that might show up, he had the book for their pleasure and well being of mind. Some people were just a bit too... iffy icky when it came to how religious things were handled. Although this might not be seen by groom and bride as religious. More just for the legal marriage. He glanced over after tucking the dry cloth away into his pocket and setting the gold bound book on the face of the alter. The groom was calling him and just as he managed to pick out the words, the bride walked up next to him and whispered something in his ear. Halli just cocked a grin. He looked about. A nice turn out. A few odd characters and more probably coming. He was a little uncomfortable with the dragon or wyvern or whatever it was in the area, but if it was the groom's steed then it couldn't be that bad. It wouldn't try to eat any of the guest at least. "Please, everyone. Take your seats. The service will begin shortly. May I have a quick word with the Bride and Groom right quick?" He gave them a quick smile and stepped down from the altar, pushing the stolen bottle of wine to the front of the altar. He walked over to the bride and groom, covering ground using a quick, long stride. "Madam and Sir." He said, bowing low. "I have a few simple questions. I need you names, just to be sure I'm saying them right. Madam, are you being walked down by your father and Sir do you have a ring?" |

Zetsumei walked through the lands, his eyes set upon the gathering. he was nearer now. Cyan eyes gazed upon the area as he took note of the attendants. From all he saw the vampire noted that this was more then a simple gathering, 'twas a wedding. A smile spread upon lips, though his fangs were sure to remain hidden, perhaps it was time to try and blend in with the crowd. The sun drooped ever lower upon the horrizon, the thirst burning at his throat as he neared, spotting those present. Waving a gloved hand at the bride, grrom, and who he assumed was the priest, the vampiric figure spoke. "Greetings, such a lovely night for an event like this, is it not?" |
