"If you like fishing, or watching the ships come in." Really though, he barely remembered it. Since their parents had died, life got harder and harder. When village folk discovered what he was, it got worse. The mistakes that night were what caused him to be so protective of his sister. With that thought he realized it was getting late. Even the music was beginning to quiet down and tavern goers nursing their final drink. Stifling a yawn, Rex dipped a hand into his pocket and withdrew a few more coins. Counting them quickly, he stood. "Back in a moment. Better get a couple rooms before they rent out."

She nodded. "A relaxing existence" she mused alittle longer on the subject befor clearing it from her mind. "Wait" she said as she rummaged through her pockets, she was never good at keeping track of money. After afew moments she had tacken out a handful of coins and let them go on the table. "umm.. I'm not sure how much a room would be.." she looked at the coins wondering if they where enough for the night. Normally a Inn keeper would take advantage of her naviety. Though some would just tell her it was enough and be done with it. The prices changed from place to place. So she couldn't be to sure.

He stopped, though it seemed he was about to say something, he didn't. Instead he waited a moment, before only nodding breifly to her. "Don't worry about it." Opening his palm slightly and jingling the coins within he smiled a little. "Call it even ... For the dance." Two rooms wasn't much, he'd sold some good furs. But it had nothing to do about the money. He didn't get much chance just to be ... nice.

She looked at him and nodded shyly. "ok.." she really didn't know what to say, she was able to smile at him at least. She really wasn't used to such behaviour it was odd to her. Though it was nice at the same time. Her hand swept over the coins on the table as she picked them up to put back into her pocket.

It was odd for him. He usually kept to himself during his trading in the towns and making his way back home. It wasn't that he was selfish or anti social. Really he just wanted to make sure his sister was not left alone at home too long. He worried about her all the time, enough so that i even annoyed her. But so much had happened that he couldn't help it. This girl he had met on the way to the village had needed his help though. So he couldn't just continue on his way as if she didn't exist.

He was glad he'd met her though, it wasn't often he just got to talk with someone. As he met the inn keeper at his desk, he managed to gain two rooms. That was all he needed anyways, and it didn't even take all the money he'd withdrawn fro his pocket. Receiving two keys he went back to the table and handed the girl one. "Lucky. Got the last two."

Tal watched him as he went to the desk. She smiled at him and took the key, as she did she looked at it then at him again, fiddleing with the key in her hand. "Thank you" she said having no idea what to really say. She laughed lightly. "That is lucky". She wondered if they would part now for the night or if they would stay out alittle longer. It was hard for her to think of anything to talk about now.

"Well." He shifted briefly. In his lack of experience with them, Rex wasn't so great at goodbyes. Who knew if they'd even meet again for that matter. Still, he could consider her 'friend', if he ever had any. He coughed slightly. "Well. I could show you to your room. If you'd like." He really wouldn't have minded staying down here longer, but he had to be up at sunrise. It was still a long way back home.

"I'd like that" she said thoughtfully and warmly, she was not good with goodbyes aswell. They seemed to final for her. She got up and walked beside him as he guided her to her room. "I guess this is see you later then?" she said in a quiet tone, a small note of sadness but more of finality. She knew all things came to an end. It was inevitable. "Maybe next time I'll get to pull you out of the rabit hole" she joked, with a small chuckle and shy grin. As they came to her room.

He nodded, before offering his arm to her. It seemed only right to extend at least one final courtesy. As they arrived at the doors of the inn rooms, he stepped back to allow her room to access her key. "Yes."He laughed along with her, before turning to his own room. "Maybe next time. You can even meet my sister. I think you'd enjoy each other's company"

"heheh, that would be good" with that she gave a final nod, befor unlocking the door. And stepping into her room. The nights rest would be good. A time to focus on the days events in the land of nod. She closed the door behind her and found her way to the bed in the dark easily slipping into it and falling asleep.

As the door shut he retreated to his own room. He did nothing more than go to bed, falling asleep quickly. Rex awoke early the next morning, jut after the sun rose. He did not bother the girl he'd 'escorted' to the city, instead simply leaving the inn and making his way home.

))The. End! :D((
