The day was about to turn into night. The setting sun painted the sky with reds, oranges, and yellows. Nothing much was happening in this barren ruins expcept for the light breeze and random sounds of nature. The only thing that was out of place was a girl with ebony hair that looked around 18 or 19 years old that layed passed out on the ground. Soon the female slowly awakened from her slumber, pulling herself up in a sitting position. 'Where am I? What is this place?' She thought as her hazel eyes observed her surroundings. Then she reached up and carelessly began to rub the side of her head. But after thinking for a bit a realization soon hit her. 'Who am I?' The now frightened teen held both sides of her head trying hard to concentrate. All she remember though was a bright light and being in unbearable pain. Then she heard a voice ring in her head as if calling to her. "Ianthe!" 'Ianthe? Is that my name?' The gal questioned as began to relax a little bit, lowering her hands. Then she hissed at the sudden tightness on her wrists and quickly looked down in order to inspect them. She found gray shackles with chain links attached to them. Without thinking she stood up and looked at herself. She was a mess. Her knee length dress was torn and ripped a apart. The rest of her was smeared with drit. Then after looking down at her bare feet found another pair of shackles fasthened on her ankles. What on earth happen to her? "Ianthe" took another look around for any signs of life before walking aimlessly through the ruins. Hoping to something or someone to help her. Edited by Ianthe, Aug 21 2008, 02:03 AM.

Another day, another ruin... It seemed the arcane knowledge he was seeking was always in bits and pieces, scattered through all of Avalon. This was getting tiresome fast. He felt as though he had searched these ruins for all they were worth, and pondered taking a trip into the elven lands. They were excellent at magic, maybe they could help him. He weaved his way around large stone pillars leaned or fallen here and there. His rather impressive wings were folded tight against his back, thier white visage stained with black tips as proof of his mounting sins. A good amount of his stark white hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, but an amount of it shielded half of his face from view. A single piercing gray eye surveyed the area with increasing boredom. The only excitement he had was trying to camp here last night, when scavenging beasts attempted to waylay him during the night. Apparently they didnt like torches to the face, and had left him well alone since. Tall leather boots crunched audibly along the gravel strewn paths, the metallic clinks of the buckles seemingly echoing for miles of the great stone expanses. "Lanthe!" A voice cut through the silence like an assassin's dagger through silk... Its sounded female, and it was coming toward him. He ducked halfway behind a moss covered pillar, peering out curiously at what approached. Once could never be too cautious in Avalon... And he had not had a chance to purchase any wepons yet during his travels. He cursed silently to himself, and decided to stop at the next town of suitable size. |

Ianthe continued her search but so far her efforts have been in vain. No matter how many times she looked around all she could find was the remains of a civilization. After a while she began to wonder. Was she abandoned and forgottened just like this place? Ianthe prayed that wasn't the case, but the only thing that comforted her was the lazy wind. Then the lonely girl got the feeling that she wasn't alone. She merely turn her head to check, then gasped and jumped behind a broken pillar. Cautiously peering over the edge to spy. She saw young man probably only a little older than herself walking. He had white hair that was tied back in a loose ponytail and wore traveling clothes. But the thing that caught her attention was his wings. Large white wings that were tinged black folded against his back. They were both beautiful and other worldly. At the same time they seem familiar to Ianthe. 'Angel...' She thought as she slowly stepped out her hiding place. "Um... hello." Her voice trembled softly. |

As I crouched on a rafter looking out across the ruins, Through a hole in the ceiling of this old building, I woundered what this place must have been and all that was here in wait for somone to find. As the wind picked up, my cloak barly moving in the breeze. "I will return and exact my revenge" I thought to myself, I will return. But now isn't the time i must travel to the city and gather weapons to begin what i know will be a long journey. I chose this spot because it was out of the way and quite, but this day I must of been mistaken because it was quite different then what i had expected it to be. As I Stood from the beam to leave I noticed the clanking of metal on stone and sliped in the shadow of the wall away from the hole that i had been looking through. It was a women that Wore a knee length dress that had been torn and ripped apart. The rest of her was smeared with dirt. She had shackles on her wrists and ankles. "Hello" she asked heading toward a piller I woundered "Who was she?" and better question yet "Who was she talking to?". I was curious to find out so i jumped to another beam closer. and moved yet again to the opposite side of where she walked to hide again in the shadows. But I wasn't exactly in the best of positions. if she or her new friend decided to look up, it wouldn't be difficult to spot me. Lets hope they are to interested in themselves. |
