Mays Medio, a novice wizard, was slumped over in his chair. His head lay among tipped-over, and broken beer glasses. Ale spilled everywhere, collecting in Mays hair. He was surrounded by obscene pictures, and dirty words, carved into the table with a steak knife. Obviously done recently, and by someone quite juvenile. It was evident that the young wizard has personalized the table. How he was able to sleep through the songs and beer chants of the dwarfs was a mystery. (OOC: ya, this is going to be awful. Just bear with me, while I get the rust off) |

(O.C.C, No worries the only way to get better is to suck at first) Bason walked into the small Dwarven tavern, his 5"11' frame was bent at the neck to give way to the short roof. As he passed a table with a man who, most likely not Dwarven, was passed out. The table had been carved by the knife the man had been eating with, Bason noticed small bitts of meat in the woodwork as he passed. Sitting at a table that was empty, the regulars who sat there normaly were still mining at the time, and ordered the strongest the Tavern had. He took the drink named "Stonehammer's Beard" and downed it with a few gulps. A dwarf at the table next to Bason watched him drink the harsh liquid."You don't see many people who are not strong Dwarves drink that brew you got there friend. What is your name?" Bason gave the stout Drawf a raised eyebrow, not often did Dwarves give compliments on drinking. Bason decided to play nice at the moment. "My name is Bason Ashcroft, I'm looking for work." The Dwarf pulled his chair up to Bason's table and set his mug down, "What kinda work do you be looking for, my friend?" The Dwarf took a large swig of what he had and ordered another "Stonehammer's Beard" Bason smiled and took another of the same drink as well, this may be a profitable venture yet. "My work lies in blood, my Drwarven friend. Blood, I spill as much or as little for the money I get." The Dwarf spat out his ale and looked at Bason, "A killer eh? Well then you may want to take a look at that fella oer there..." The little man pointed t othe passed out drunk in the corner "He seemed a little down, maybe woman trouble. A visit to him may cheer him up. I dunno though I'm probly already a bit drunk meslef. Good day to ya!" The Dwarf pulled his chair back over to his other table. Bason stood as best he could and walked over to the drunk man. The Lycan pulled a chair to the table and picked up an empty glass. Looking at it he turned it over so the heavy glass bottom was on the top, and smashed the thing against the table. |

Mays jumped at the sound of the crash. He left his feet, and smashed his cranium against the ceiling of the tavern. Dust and bits of grime that had previously resided there, from lack or cleaning, had detached themselves from their home, and landed in Mays sopping wet hair. The mixture turned into a grayish brown mucky substance, smelling of weak beer and mold. Blinded by the cloud of dust, and an awful headache, Mays stepped back too far backward and hit his chair;thus making him lose his already diluted sense of balance and falling to the ground. "Sshheeshhhh, Mister" Mays slurred in a drunken accent. "Do you all ways start converssssations that way?" He pointed to the growing lump developing on his head. |

The Lycan stood, listening to the roar of laughter his action had caused and walked around the table. He looked down at the pathetic man still on the floor, what a pitiful sight, this man could be a great worrior and there he sat in a drunken haze. Bason extended his hand to help the man up. "I only start convorsations that way when the person I wish to talk to is passed out, drunk." Still Bason held out his hand to help the man, even though at the moment Bason would rather just kill him. "However he may prove usefull I can't kill him now" |

The young wizard the mysterious man's hand. Whether he was genuinely offering it, in hopes of apologizing, or if it was a plot to gain Mays trust, he wasn't sure. However, it would be rude, not to take it while in this state. And being rude was against the rules of the game. The game, of coarse, being to find out what the man wanted. Now standing on his wobbling legs, Mays looked the man in the eyes. "Mmister, for yoursh informashhion, I was not passhed out. I was meerely trying to examine thesh obscene markings on the table." He pointed down at the dirty table he had been sitting at. "Thish was definately done by an artis', cause if you look closely mister, you shee how the pictures sshparkle." He squinted his eyes, admiring the work he had done. He rested his hand on the wooden piece, trying to feel the carvings, but pulled his hand back sharply. "Or maybe the shhparkle us just your broken glass," He laughed; almost losing his balance again. After he had composed himself, the wizard put his arm around the other man. "Letss get some drinkss at the bar, and talk. Let someone else deal with that mesh." Mays walked toward the bartender, beckoning the stranger to follow. "Oh," mays turned and laughed. "you're buyin' ". |

Bason raised an eyebrow when the little man was talking about the carvings. Then the Lycan raised both when the idiot cut his hand on the broken glass. Still Bason watched the pathetic man wobble around the table, and then he put his arm around the Lycan. Bason's eyes lit up with rage, there were some tings you just did not do to this particular Lycan. To top all that off, the man told Bason HE was paying for the drinks. The Lycan waled up to the man and grabbed the back of his head. Yanking him by the hair and punching him in the face, then Bason bounced the pitiful man's face off the bar. The Lycan growled at the man, on the floor his eyes starting to turn red and his fingers to grow claws. Bason stopped and pushed the monster back deeper into his mind, he could not change in the small Tavern his head would go through the roof. |
