This place was beautiful, and a great place for someone like her to rest for a while before she decided to try her luck at joining another ship. The beautiful waves rolled up onto the soft golden sand. The sun setting made the waters almost look red, and the sky had difrent hues of orange purple blues, and reds. As if some artist had painted it, but this was a mural no human hands could create, something to breathtaking that it could not be captured in its full splendor on paper. She laid on the sandy beach letting the wind ruffle her black shirts. Only her corset kept it from getting to that annoying point where you had to hang onto the fabric just to keep it on. Tonight the winds were strong but even so they wafted the scent of the ocean into her nostrils and filled her with serenity.

Satisfied by the view she closed her bright brown eyes and put her hands behind her head to keep her brown curls from getting full of sand. The seagulls called out over the water searching for the fish that swam under its shimmering surface. She remembered last time she was here she was not alone. She had her second husband with her and they sat up watching the sun set. He had put his arms around her and whispered to her asking if he could have her hand in marriage. Morgan had fallen into his gentleman spell and could not resist the sweet pirate Captain. He had been her only real love, the only person she actually had feelings for. But like all men he was scum wrapped up in a fancy shell.

Carefully she shifted to lay on her side and looked at the grains of sad with a pouting look on her face. She hated thinking back on those days, unless she had a drink in her hand, but there was not a tavern located in her general area. The sand was still very warm even as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. Stars shown brightly over head and she could not help but smile back at them. She felt board and figured it would be okay to talk to herself so she said in a soft voice, "Oh this is a good night to just... drink down a bottle of rum and pass out. Wish I had a bottle of rum right now, oh well, to bad there aren’t any men around. That would be nice. I kind of missed being able to lay back like this. No one telling me what to do, just me myself, and my awesome body." She let out a giggle, she could pull off a joke even away from civilization.

A figure stood, feet slightly apart surveying his perceived surroundings. As he turned left, the soft kiss of the sun's crimson touch acted upon his virgin cheeks, the wind moving gracefully through his hair, it's gentle feeling as if a whisper of satin. Such was the beauty of the place which Kazarr had come to realise, neither reincarnation nor his memory had been particularly kind to him and he found himself scratching his head in a slight disbelief at how he couldn't remember the existence of such a location, staring out briefly and unwisely into the distant sun, the beauty was enhanced by his phoenix strategically making its way across the face of the great ball of fire. He let loose a throaty chuckle which quickly turned into a wheezing cough and subsided into a deep sigh. How had he managed to feed it previously?

Such a question was left unanswered as the predatory bird turned its attention to its 'pet' circling around Kazarr briefly before gliding elegantly down beside him
"Now, now Kazarr, don't tease me on such matters as food"
"There is no food. Only rum"
pointed Kazar sadly at the bag with its heavy leather strap weighing him down with its weight. The phoenix chuckled, as best it could without burning its pet and replied
"Surely you jest Sir..."
It paused and then turned its question into a statement of rage
"I am hungry, give it to me now!"
"But Hawkeye, I...."
"You what?! Decided that perhaps rum would sustain us longer?"
"Thirst kills qui..."
"Does it look like I would prefer water over a lovely steak? A big fiery bird vastly superior to your half-blooded elven form?"
"No...."
"Then find me some!"
Kazarr bowed his head forward and sighed. The bird smirked to itself, its cruel smile hidden underneath its blazing exterior.
"Make the most of what you can...." thought the bird to itself.

Strangely enough, this curious little exchange between man and beast had occurred within their minds. An act of 'telepathy' as some of the contemporary scholars would say.
"Come on then, let's find you some food then"
"That's more like it"
Kazar dismounted his horse and continued down the ridge he was standing on, a small smudge against the yellow expanse to his left, he was curious at its presence, in a place which should have been empty. He began moving towards it.
"Hey you over there!"
He cried out to her. His horse tried to join in but to its utter frustration could only let out a series of incomprehensible snorting noises which would have roughly been translated as "Careful, she is one of them dragon types probably, dragonborn or something..."

A voice captured her ear, a male voice. A playful smile crossed her face as she sat up looking to see a male was indeed coming her way. Oh she had to have siren blood in her or something. Whenever she was around a man of some sort came running in her direction. Either that or she was just lucky.

"Why hello sir." She replied in a seductive tone. There really was no other tone with her. A small monkey skipped across the sand running for her with something shinny in its hand. He was always looking for shinny stuff, but here there was actually nothing worth stealing, it was just a getaway.

"Why James, what have you here my little angel?" She turned to the monkey with a smile. The baby climbed onto her shoulder and dropped a shell that was rather shinny. The small hairy thing seemed so proud of itself holding its head high and clinging to her shirt as if she was its mother.

"The name is Morgan my good sir, and my little James, so what brings you out here besides lady watching?" Her voice regained a seductive tone yet again as the monkey strayed from her mind.

Indeed he was now walking with his faithful steed, and his not-so-faithful bird moving beside him. He paused a moment. The sand seemed to be in a stubborn mood today and had decided to infect his own improvised attempt at 'shoes'. He let out a frustrated sigh and kicked off the tanned leather bound by an uneven cross stitch, his feet now free of their hot and grainy torture he sighed once more, evidently happy he continued walking towards the smudge.

Soon enough he was within speaking distance of her, positioning himself against the backdrop of the sun, its rays creeping around his shoulders and past his toned legs. He noticed that it was a creature, human by the looks of it. He moved closer and jumped slightly when she spoke to him, the glare off the sand causing diminished vision in his case.

"Why hello there Lady Morgan. I am Kazarr."
He tossed his head to the side to dislodge some glass from his hair. He glanced upwards at the phoenix which was oblivious to its insistant conversion of sand to glass.
"Cut it out"
He stated bluntly before returning to the lady in front of him.
"I apologize for the slight distraction."
Eyeing her up curiously he answered honestly
"Does a man need another reason besides 'Lady watching'? Yourself. What does a lady find herself doing out here, all alone in an area notorious for its unregulated smuggling, might I presume that she might have something to do with it?"
He chuckled at the thought, she did not fit the profile of any pirate he had met before.

Dusting the sand off her long white sleeves she smiled and replied in a charming tone, "Perhaps I do work in the business you assume. Lady of the high seas, inherited the job through marriage, or as I say none negotiable pairing." A smile crossed her face. In all reality it was her husband who really had no say in the matter, she fell in love with the man who kidnapped her, and he was the one who got the short end.

"I am mostly just here to, lay old memories to rest and more on in life. A girl can't stay in one place forever, on train of thought, one hopeless depression. She has to dust herself off and find new adventure."

It was horrifying that she was actually making some sense, usually she was to drunk to spit out a sentence without adding in something random. Things must have been looking up for her, perhaps she was on the right road for the moment. Either that or she just needed a drink to bring her back down to the common Morgan logic which was always so fun to decipher.

Kazarr considered his position, he felt almost uncomfortable casting a strong shadow over her seemingly light frame.
"Excuse my rudeness"
He coughed slightly and then took a place on the sand by her, its heated exterior surprising him, causing Kazarr to yelp lightly
"Do you get used to this?"
He beckoned one finger at the sand, its glare once again taking up a comfortable place in his eyes.
"Aargh"
He exclaimed loudly
"I apologize once more. Indeed, one must always find oneself an adventure, otherwise it almost seems as if ones life is turning into a waste of time. I have felt that feeling myself too much."
He remmembered that he had a certain something in his satchel and brought it forward, placing it in between his legs
"Some rum milady? Hawkeye isn't too happy that I bought so much of it, but as I rightly predicted, we seem to have found some company during our travels around Avalon"
He took a bottle and applied its salty rim to his lips, the condiment supporting the 'salt in the wound' theory.

She felt slightly faint now, at first she wished she had a guy here, and suddenly this one showed up. Then she wished she had rum, and what do you know, he had rum on him. This was a dream come true that was for sure.

"thank the gods for you."

She smiled up at him putting a hand on her chest, it was all to good to be true so she figured she better look around to see if someone she knew jumped out of the bushes and was just pulling her leg. Glancing around she could see no one other then him. Wow so this was all actually happening. Lucky her, seemed this was the place where dreams came true.

James looked at the bottle of rum and let out a hissing chattering sound. He did not approve of that stuff, but then again Morgan should not have forced him to drink it that one time.

"Sush Jamesy, you can be so annoying you little ape."

Actually he was not really an ape, he was a monkey. Apes lacked tails, but she was not going to get deep into thought about it, there was no reason to do that. She had rum and a good looking man, the only thing she needed was for the sun to hit her the right way and hope that she did not get drunk and act stupid.

Kazarr smiled as the corner of his mouth flicked upwards the bottle already half empty. He frowned at this further, unsightly twist of events and finished it, quickly withdrawing two more bottles. He tossed one to her and placed his own by his side. It was quite well known that the race of elves had an unusually high resistance to alcohol. He however was different and began to succumb to its effects really quite quickly.

"Heheh, sho tell meh Lady Morrgann. Where do you heil from"

He chuckled some more as he tilted his head back to support even more of this intoxicating liquor. He turned to the monkey and shook his bottle at it, apparently ignoring its hatred for it.
"Ish good stuff...You shuld try it"
Once again he turned his attention to Morgan
"You have shom very pretty eyes"
He blinked his own a few times to make focus of the view which graced his line of sight.

Hawkeye sighed heavily as best he could, turning to Equinox, his horse before telling Morgan in a flat and bored tone
"Don't mind him. He isn't too used to the art of drinking"

((I apologize for the poor post. Fairly tired here, had a long day))

A whole bottle to herself was like magic to her. There was nothing better then a sunset on a lovely beach, rum, and a guy drinking it with you.

"That is alright, not everyone can drink like a sailor, if we all could there would be a world shortage of rum. Think of the wars over that."

The her it was a reason to fight, and die, who didn't want a bottle of rum for the long trips at sea. Was there actually anything else you could drink out at sea?

"I come from Avalon city, grew up on the streets with my family just like any good...thief, but I sir am no thief, I am a pirate, we are so much more fun."

She babbled on taking another drink, People had told her once that she can't hold her ale, but she was not drinking ale so she was alright. Morgan’s logic was so much fun, maybe that was why she always found herself in trouble with the law.

"Now the sea is my home, sea sweet home sweet sea home or something like that."

Indeed, though he couldn't hold his drink as such, keeping with true elven form, he sobered up remarkable quickly. The act of shaking his head and drinking a bottle of stale water had done wonders for him. He turned his head at the lone bottle and chuckled. If it was this easy for him, why not try it again? He picked it up, and began downing it once more, making sure to stay fairly sober this time round.

"Indeed. I could not imagine a horde of pirates descending upon the angry citizen mob before beginning to fight amongst themselves. Such a battle would be more comical than tragic."

He chuckled to himself, the Lady seemed to be enjoying his company, and perhaps more so the company of the rum.
"Another bottle Morgan?"
He asked sweetly. Besides, what better way to earn honour than to return a maiden to her family and rouse her from her drunken stupour. He shook his head once more. Such thoughts were not of a noble kind, and were thus to be avoided.

The phoenix had sensed this and it to decided to alter the course of their little discussion.
"So what happened to your family Miss? Are they not still at home well?"
Though it asked the question confidently, with each passing moment he doubted her ability to answer it sanely more and more.
Turning to the monkey, it asked it, being able to communicate with almost any creature,
"So my little friend. How do you deal with drunken humans and their assorted species?"

She took the second bottle with a smile, the more rum the merrier, and besides she was never actually cute and lovable until she was drunk, otherwise she was just boring. The image of pirates all fighting over a single bottle of rum made her laugh to herself.

"Indeed it would be a comical site to see, rule one in the pirate bible. Deny us not of our rum."

The strange bird spoke to her, and first she raised an eyebrow wondering what was in the rum, but upon a closer look the bird turned out to be a phoenix. With a quick glance at the sand she thought about her family, well, if you could call them that.

"My mother ran away when I was a little girl, and all my siblings are living a life of crime, some of them in the prisons of Avalon city, some of us got off safe at first. My father...I hope I never see him again. He is the cause of everything wrong in my life."

She thought back on the rest of those who could be called her family. Her husbands, or ex's at least. The men who made her life great and actually got her to smile and love them.

"My first husband was killed by the man who became my second husband...a pirate. I left him because I found that I was only an enjoyment to him, and then my last husband I left because he was 35 years older then me and oh so very dull."

The baby monkey listened in as the bird now spoke to him. The monkey was surprised by this, usually he never got a conversation of his own.

"My master is very nice, I bring her shinny things and she loves me, but I don't like their rum. It makes me sick, why they drink it is beyond me, it's like poison."

The little monkey spoke his word knowing that his master could not understand his idle chatter. To her it was just clicks and chips and chirps, not a single word could be translated in her sweet backwards mind.

Despite what she might have thought of herself, Kazarr, thought otherwise. He surveyed her once more, his gentle aqua orbs girating within their sockets, scanning her lithe figure before returning, almost guiltily back, staring downwards, intricate patterns in the sand forming in his mind.

He listened to her intently, puzzled at her speech. Apparently the phoenix had not decided to share its question with Dorzan and indeed he couldn't work out why she had suddenly decided to talk about her family and had decided to chip in his own sop-story over his past.

"My past is not so great either. I am told that my family were murdered by a gang of winged creatures, their exact identity and form unknown, perhaps still roaming around in the enchanted forest, terrorising villages."

He nodded.
"Yeah. That is about it"

The phoenix just ignored Kazarr, it would seem that he wasn't as accustomed as he had hoped him to be, to meeting others of an opposite sex.

"Just ignore him, he can be quite a bore at times."
He paused and then turned to the monkey
"I think that slight sense of euphoria coupled with its unnaturaly sweet taste makes it attractive to their weak race"

Kazarr continued to watch Morgan and replied once more
"So you were planning to stay here long?"
