Celebration Of Love

The Land of Avalon is a freeform medieval/fantasy roleplaying site loosely based on Arthurian lore. Avalon is home to many friendly members, administrators, and position holders, most of whom are always willing to RP, no matter how new a person might be to the site. With a large shop system full of various spells, items, and equipment no two characters are the same. With character races ranging from elves and humans to dragons, chimeras, and demons Avalon welcomes a wide range of races and RP skill levels. From the Northern Lands holding word limits suited for beginners to the West for the more advanced, no one is too inexperienced to join in on the fun. With a variety of deities and elemental guardians, kings and nobility to pledge to (or oppose) there is no shortage of roleplaying opportunity. Beloved Posts: 847 Group: Admin Member #583 Joined: May 4, 2004 Member Name BD	BANNER/AVATAR COMPETITION In honour of the upcoming marriage of Calonderiel Latherhinion and Rika Seransi (BD and Sel), we decided to host a nice little banner competition. We both need new banners and avatars of the couple together, and thought that it would be nice to challenge you all to create the best ones. Rules 1. All banners/avatars must be made by you. Not ripped from a site, etc. 2. All submitters will get SOMETHING, whether it be just gold, or items (depending on the submissions we like most. 2a. There will be only one price per member, submitting a million banners won't do much. xD So submit your best! (But you're welcome to submit several, which will give you a better chance to win and us more to choose from :P) 3. The judges are BD and Sel (BlueDragon and Astrid Paranyme). 4. Anyone can enter, regardless of position! Come on people, we want your creativeness. 5. You can either use the images we provide, or find some of Rika and Cal on your own - we're not too picky. 6. Any photo imaging system (MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop, etc) may be used to create a banner. 7. You do not have to turn in an avatar and banner set - you can turn them in separately. (Ie: Just a banner, just an avatar.) 8. Have fun with it! : D Statistics The banners should be at least 500 pixels wide (horizontal) and 150 pixels high (vertical). The avatars can be anything from 100 pixels by 100 pixels to larger. Not too big, however. Searching for images? If you are using or attempting to find your own images to use, this is what you need to know: Rika: human, black hair, green eyes, rather thin, pale. Cal: high elf, brown hair, brown eyes, taller than Rika. Photo editing is allowed, and in some cases, it may be required. Images Provided One (Eyes need to be edited green.) Two (Needs to be edited, the woman's hair color should be black.) Three (Massive editing, hair on the woman should be black, eye color on the woman should be green, if possible.) Four Five (Woman's hair color needs to be black.) Six Done? If you are done with your entry, PM it to either BlueDragon or Astrid Paranyme (or Rika Seransi), and we will edit the next post to put up all the entries. Thank you! And let me tell you, figuring that one out was painful. Signature to come after I go cry for a bit. EDIT: I just realized I have to touch it up still... EDIT 2: DAMN IT all the highlights show up as tinted slightly green... goes and cries some more EDIT 3: Don't know why everything I do ultimately has chrome-like flavours to it... guess I just like chrome... EDIT 4: Hatred rising... EDIT 5: Why did I do this to myself... why... ? EDIT 6: If only I could get some damned color into that background there... Oddly enough it was good stress relief, though all I have succeeded in creating is colorless crap which I won't even attempt to salvage because I feel like rending things. Friggin enjoy! EDIT: Oh, and that little white stripe on the bar in the top right is on purpose, though it isn't symmetrical with anything, it was a pitiful attempt at adding some variety to an otherwise bland piece.
