Krieg lowered himself on the ground, and sat cross-legged in front of the set-up. "Only after you tell me what you don't want." Why is she being so stubborn about this? He looked at her with an eyebrow raised. There was a part of him that perhaps didn't mind being asked to pick first, but he would prefer if she'd just choose. "It'd be quite impossible to leave me with something I won't like."

Thírne watched Krieg as he sat down and smiled slightly. It was a slow process; she could see that it was going to be a struggle, but if she was persistent she could slowly succeed in this. But was it right to do so? With the plans that Krieg had in mind for the next day, was it wise to worry him so? Perhaps she would just give up and keep this for another time. There would be a chance for this again some other time. The woman listened to what Krieg had to say; contemplating a response. "I wanted you to have first pick because I respect you as my superior, Krieg. But, I don't want to upset you or irritate you..." Thírne reached out slowly and took up a slice of bread and pickled meat and took a hesitant bite. She had let herself lose? She did not like giving in to other people, but she cared for Krieg, perhaps more than she had anyone else before. "Krieg, do you think this plan you have for tomorrow is all that wise? It’s going to be risky; I... I don't want you getting hurt. I really care for you, Krieg, and if you were to get harmed, I... I'm sorry..." Thírne put her bread down on the thin cloth used to wrap the foods, her appetite dwindling. Slowly she clammered to her feet and made her way to the door way, stopping and looking back over her shoulder to where Krieg was. "I'll be outside, I need fresh air to clear my head." she spoke quietly, looking at Krieg with an expression of longing before making her way out into the steadily chilling evening.
