The wind whipped past her as she sped through the air, propelling herself faster with each powerful thrust of her wings. Her bright green eyes where fixed on her prey. It was the first time she had left the Enchanted Forest, the first time she had ventured out of her home, and so far she was enjoying herself very much. Life had been rather easy for her as of late, but as the days passed by, it was beginning to get harder. The cold was beginning to set in, and snow was slowly beginning to fall on the ground and this made flying rather uncomfortable and dangerous because of the glare from the sun's rays falling on the snow and reflecting. It had been about three days since she had been able to feed, so there was no way she was going to let this deer go. She needed the flesh in order to survive, and survive was what she would do. She decreased her altitude and flew closer to the ground, her lower jaw now hanging slightly open, ready to grab the deer up as she swooped over it. With one final thrust she was over the creature and snapped it up quickly, ignoring how it struggled for the first few seconds before she increased the pressure she forced down on the deer and killing it. She landed and let the carcass drop to the ground before settling down to feast on her prey. "Finally decent food... " she murmured before ripping through the dead creature, letting the warm, fresh flesh slid down her throat as she ripped it from the carcass. There was little she had to fear, being a dragon, most creatures stayed far away, unless they where talented as slaying dragons, but there where none that this beast knew of, so she felt quite safe. |

The black/copper dragon lay still upon the ground, his massive body like a hill upon the ground, his wings, measuring one hundred and fifty feet, spread out and lay open upon the ground, releasing body heat as they also absorbed the sun's rays. He was quiet, nearly to sleep now. Gabrielle and Urthur had not been permitted to leave Draco Mythos thanks to a warning by the Sphinx that something would happen requiring their attention. The follower of the Goddess of Blood had been permitted to leave, the matter seemingly trivial compared to the power of the Angra Mainyu. His left eye burst open however when he heard the sound of rushing wind and what could only be a deer fleeing for its life. His telepathy reached out, searching for the winged being, only to discover it was a dragon. Here he had been beginning to believe dragons to be rare now a days, and suddenly they were everywhere, it was interesting. He felt no reason to leave his quiet resting place, and closed his eyes once more, the other dragon was much younger them himself, still a fledgling it would seem. Oh the joys of being able to read another's thoughts. But it was even more fun to mess with the younger ones. He projected his thoughts toward the other dragon, so that she might hear them in her mind, barely a whisper, but seeming to come from every direction at once. "Hey... Over here..." The dragon whispered to the other ones mind, as he continued to lay unmoving his mouth never even twitching as he spoke to her from across the distance. "I bet that deer tastes pretty good huh?" Though he was far enough away to not be able to see the other dragon and her kill, he could smell the blood and knew that she had gotten what she desired. |
