As Leon killed another zombie, by luck, he heard an echo. It was a voice. Much deeper than his, so he knew it wasn't his thoughts. It sounded familar, almost like an old friend. A smell, far worse than the decayed bodys, creeped up. Leon scrated his head then looked at Zariah. I sware it wasn't me! He thought about the voice, then went blank. His puppils disappeared and he had an expressionless face. Lord Grithore. Leon wispered the name then snapped back.

Leon was scared, but thought about the situation. If Grithore caught up to them, they would surly fight. If they hide, they could do a surprise attack and kill him with ease. Leon ran to Zariah then wrapped his arm under hers. He's coming and he won't like the fact we are killing his soilders. There's a cave near here. I'll follow you?

Using carcasses as stepping stones.
Her steps halted as a voice echoed on the wind. And they didn't sound too happy. Great, just what she needed, interference on her job. Because she did so like to finish a job and be paid, she'd have to deal with this intruder as well. And here she'd thought dealing with the silly little boy was the extent of her troubles. Ah well, sometimes you had to take things as they come, or so she'd been told. Whatever, maybe she'd get lucky and their new friend woudl have a price on his head for her to claim. Zariah didn't particularly care either way, just as long as she got out of here with her head on her shoulders and went back to the city to get the gold owed to her for the job. The sword now being held low at her side seemed to breath in her hand. With a shudder the blackened aura, she supposed one could call it, glimmered in the dark. Of course it being dark and the auras black as sin itself meant only those with enhanced vision could see it. But Zariah could feel it, and it only meant one thing. Something far darker than a handful of undead was in the vicinity. And oh how the blade of fallen angels loved to taste the blood of such things.

A wry smirk passed quickly across her features though. Perhaps this little venture was to prove worthwhile after all. She stepped slightly to one side at a sudden grip upon her arm. Yanking her arm away and turning quickly was evidence enough that she didn't quite favor some kid clinging to her. "Go on and run along then." She glanced towards the direction of what was quite apparently their opposition. "I'll take care of him." Waving hand off to indicate that the boy indeed should get out of here, Zariah exited the cavern they had just entered and stepped up to meet the owner of this voice. Bringing her sword up to rest at her shoulder she only shifted steel blue eyes to the helm covering the man's face. "Paid enough is all you need to know."

He snorted his disapproval as the one known as Leon tried to take the woman and flee. Where was his warrior spirit? With the sword with no name in his hands, he didn't have a hand for either Hell's Nightmare, or Heaven's Fear. The sword in his hands was two long, the handle was a two handed one, or else the weapon would be to unbalanced to do anything. His blue eyes narrowed, as he sized the woman up. The sword was what interested him most, that black aura was something to be seen. He watched them where they stood in the mouth of the... cave? No, that wasn't it. That cave entrance had something to it, something about it that called to him. His eyes shifted to get a better look, since his eyes glowed the movement was near impossible to detect.

There was no great weaving of words, just the pull of magic in his core, that he directed toward the two smaller people and the "cave". As if he had cast quake, the cave began to quiver, the ground rolling just on the inside. A deep roar reached up from the depths of the cave, as it began to twist from side to side. From his vantage point he could see two great red, blood shot eyes open, an narrow, as the Great beast was awakened. Only someone who was either not paying attention or, was just to foolish to know, would wander into a dead dragon's mouth. Especially while the undead were running around. The now undead dragon's claws scratched the earth as it started to stand, though its head was pretty rotten to the ground and was giving it problems. "Say hello to my new warrior."

As Leon stood inside what he thought was a cave, it began to rumble. Sound came from the deep of the tunnel. Zariah had began to walk to the enemy. Suddenly, the cave lifted from the ground then sprouted arms. Teeth grew where Leon thought spikes had resigned. Holy crap! Leon ran then jumped from the mouth of the beast that used to be a cave. After landing on the ground with a dodge roll, he looked at what he just jumped from. It's eye looked like beautiful rubys that glew for a certain purpose. Leon walked slowly back to Zariah's side. Second thought, I think I just may be safer with you. "Say hello to my new warrior." Grithore said as he closed in on them. Leon drew his katana then stood guard and awaited his lord to approach him.

She paid the cave no attention, it was just a friggin cave, who cared? Her only goal was to destroy the undead and clean things up around here in that regard. Then she could get paid. That was all that ever mattered, do the job, get paid, get a drink, find another job. She didn't care of other's opinions, she only cared about herself. She was no mercenary and would be swift to correct any such mistaken identity. Zariah took pride in what she was, she was the best after all. It was way she didn't accept jobs to hunt just anything, anyone could go find escaped criminals or average bounties. It wasn't until the earth began to rumble and shake that she took a glance over her shoulder. Though she cursed and her grip grew tighter about the hilt of her sword she gave no other outward sign of worry. The beast could chew her up and spit her out and she'd still be the one to come out on top. She always was. "It appears to be ... a little sluggish."

The boy wasn't of any real use to her and so she did not pay him a second glance after all there were far more important things to take into account. Her gaze went back to the armored man bearing a blade that smelled worst than even the undead that followed after him. Ah well, t was a trivial thing to her. "Don't much care if you're behind this or not. You're in the way, either way." A hand rose, a motion given as she set loose another phantom blade cutting through undead and heading straight in the man's direction like a giant dagger thrown.

Malak, fully armored and both blades in hand, charged into the midst of the stinking corpses. He spun, cleaving any stupid enough to be close. Out of the spin, he rammed sideways, sending one flying into the ground. He lashed out with his right hand, the blade burring itself in ones chest. He yanked it out, kicking another in the face, dark ooze splattering on his metallic foot plating. He lashed out with his other blade, looping anothers head off. The group of zombies he had been in was more or less destroyed, the only survivor being the one he had shouldered to the ground.

He finished it by stomping its head flat into the ground, gore spraying from its fractured skull. He looked up. There were many more to deal with. In the distance, he saw two more combatants, answering the call to battle. He cleaved through one more, it taking a swipe at him right before the blades passed through. The zombies claws nicked his armor and in return it was hacked in half from the middle chest down.

He sprinted the last of the yards, the plating not wearing him down a bit. He jumped over a boulder, landing on top of two of the undead warriors. One was stomped, the other stabbed in the back of the head. He skidded to a stop not to far from the combatants. This is what he saw. A woman flinging some ghost sword at an armored man, most likely the zombie leader. He looked closer and saw a boy with a katana standing near the other zombie slayer, who looked female from his point of view.

He waited were he was, ready to beat off any zombie stupid enough to get close to him. He would let opening blows be traded and then step in.
