The two guards let go of him from her verbal nudge and his own shrugging off their hands. He looked at the now dispersing crowd, the excitement over, looking back at her, he drew in her eyes. He had taken her life away twice now, this time, though, it was totally different. He had shut her body down, basically killing her, and then renewed her life again with his magic. This time, magic saved her, not killed her, however, did it work. The smell of demon no longer cursed the air, and he took a seat again. His face was flushed from the effort, he had called his magic for many things before, rarely to help someone in such a direct way, though. He found that it took a whole lot more energy when it was to help someone, because you didn't have the addrenaline anger lent. He didn't bother asking if she was okay, she looked like she'd never been better, if a paler in places.

He thought something looked different in her eyes after that, though, when she had opened them, it looked totally different from when she had been sitting there. Annoyance, hate, disinterest, were all gone now, or at least it looked like it. A new found grace also touched her body he thought, more womanly than before. He thought it was much more tasteful than before, now, anyway, from the change of expression alone, he knew she was better off. "You look beautiful, by the way. Did I tell you earlier?" He asked, smiling gently. His hands rested on the table, no longer tapping, calm, crossed. The demon, be it gone or not, was weaker, it was apparent in her face, at least now she could give it hell. Ironic how the phrase seemed to fit so well to the situation. His smile turned to a grin when finally, the last person watching, walked away, he wondered what this new person he was looking at would be like.

death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
Helgrind watched as the two men let Aenarion go and moved away from the scene. The feeling of happiness was slightly more dominant now that the demon was weak. It felt like this was just some dream of what she wished to have happen, and everything had worked out as she had wished it to. Aenarion looked to be rather tired after the magic he had performed and the old side of her being a more kind and caring side made her wonder how he was. Helgrind was, now that she thought about it, more grateful for what Aenarion had done for her than she could be for any other beings in this land.

The sudden change in attitude had brought out a new Helgrind, a more stable and kind hearted one, but the memories and realization of what she had done in the past was still there, imbedded in her mind. Helgrind tried pulling herself off the floor so that she would be seated at the table. She attempted to pull herself off the ground and failed the first time but managed on the second, just. Aenarion's words startled her and she was rather baffled on how she should reply at first but without really thinking she spoke. "I can't remember and thank you. It’s not a comment I’m too used to" she said, a weak smile that she could not hide made its was onto her face. The demon's soul tried to peak again but his time it was not going to win, not now and not ever again unless the situation got out of control. Helgrind mentally flattened it, and weakened it further so that it would have to try harder to take her over once again."That spell that you used... its an intriguing one." she said quietly, still smiling, but only slightly.

He took her slight start with his grin. Good, he thought, at least he wasn't drolling on about something she'd heard too much of already. "The spell? Yes, it was an invention of mine, basically, it strikes, your nerves feel like lava, not blood, is running through them, and then that saps the warmth from your body. Then, it quickly freezes, and your body stops moving from the lack of blood circulation. However, it only lasts a few moments, due to the fact that your body will gradually warm to room temperature, and your blood will be able to move again. It is fascinating, I agree, you have no idea how long it took for me to get the calculations just right." He told her, even though he was pretty sure she was just saying it offhandedly. If she was interested, he'd tell her what it was all about. He had to admit, though, for a moment, he had thought about sucking the life from her and then giving it back, without the daemon. It had certainly been an option that had passed through his mind.

He was taking a liking to this new side of her, much bright, more cheerful. Not only that, she carried herself differently, like a woman. "Well, I am about done with my meal, and you've said you need nothing from me, so I think I will be on my way." He said, standing, pushing the chair in, and then taking a low parting bow. However, when he had taken a few steps, he decided, well hell, she travels, I travel... "If you have nothing better to do, though, you could come along with me. I am in need of something with decent cooking skills, I usually just eat fruits I find along the way, and very, very stale biscuits. Not to say I don't get good meals every now and then, just saying.. Well, yes.." He told her, not exactly knowing how to go about it. He had never really officially asked someone to travel with him, afterall. "Besides, I could use someone around that matches my dashing charm with her beauty." He said smartly, chuckling afterwards.

death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
Helgrind listened intently as Aenarion spoke about the spell. Magic had always intrigued her, but she was always unwilling to learn how to perform it. Her parents had been excellent spell casters, but they used it for their on evil purposes, and Helgrind had many times watched them perform heinous crimes using magic to help them. It made her feel awkward to have to remember such memories and it was for this reason that she was reluctant to learn about it. When Aenarion had finished speaking Helgrind nodded slowly, still smiling. It was interesting for her to know what her body had just been through. So much had happened in such a short period of time. “Wow, I’m sure it did take a long time.” She said more in a whisper to herself than towards Aenarion. She imagined that one would have to be very skilled at magic to be able to create such a spell.

A short while later Aenarion mentioned that he should be leaving. Helgrind felt almost reluctant to see him get up and take a bow before moving off. She watched him depart and felt her heart begin to sink. She rather enjoyed his company, and was more than pleased to have had a chance to talk to him and was grateful for what he had done for her. Helgrind’s expression dropped to one of loneliness yet again as Aenarion began to walk away in his direction of travel, but her spirit was uplifted when she heard his voice again and saw him turning around again. Helgrind could not help but laugh quietly the same smile crept back onto her face. She saw no reason why she should not accept his offer. Cooking was not exactly a strong point for her but she knew how to prepare a few good meals. Besides, it would give her something to do, and she did miss having someone who she could talk to freely and without having to be careful about what she said. The next thing that Aenarion said made Helgrind feel rather awkward. There was no doubt in her mind that he was charming, but it just made her feel awkward about answering. Disregarding the last statement and her own thoughts, Helgrind got to her feet and staggered a bit, still not fully recovered. “It would be a real honour to travel with you, Aenarion. But I have a few things I need to do in this place before leaving, shouldn’t take too long though. All I need are a few supplies that I had come to get. Perhaps we could meet at the edge of town in a short while?” she enquired, slowly walking over to where Aenarion stood, being careful not to fall. Her legs where still rather wobbly but she was beginning to feel more stable with every step she took.

He smiled and nodded his head thoughtfully. "Yes, that will do, I will meet you when you are done." He told her, and watched her walk passed him. He slipped three coins into her pocket before walking the way he had been going. Now that she was away though, there would be none of that walking. He disappeared, turning briefly into black smoke before it was wisped away by the wind. He was in the void, now, his home, practically, however, the homey feeling was quickly gone when he stepped back out of it again, now standing alone, staring at the town behind him. There was a broken down building nearby, a sign of the towns age, and the fact that some of the outskirts had been abandoned. He drew in his magic and threw it outward towards a piece of rubble that stood up to his knees, and drew it to him. The tall elf then sat down on it, crossed one leg over his knee, and waited patiently. The sun beamed down on town, and him, making him feel good, he always did love beautiful days.

He wondered what it was that she had to get, supplies, sure, but what exactly? What would make her go out of the way to this far off place to get supplies? He knew that he came here on mercantile business, having something that seemed to be worthwhile, he came to this town. They were probably not caught up on news, and he assumed that he could make a good profit off of sales here, due to the fact that they aren't really trading with anyone. It made him more comfortable, anyway, to have a bag of coins attached to his waist. It was always good to know that he had money if he had need of it. His smile slowly began to fade as he saw clouds on the horizon, oh well, he thought, rain was good too. Sure, it blotted out the sun, but it was a chance for renewal for all things that gow. His smile returned, and he began to hum, his eyes on the watch for the beautiful sight coming his way.

Helgrind
death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
Helgrind was satisfied by his acceptance and began to walk in the her own direction, turning around after a short while to check which way he had moved off in but he was already gone, disappeared. She was rather surprised at first but shook her head and walked off in the direction of the market. It was only by chance that she was here in this town. She had never heard of it before. After a short walk she came to the market place. It was not too crowded so it would be a quick job. Helgrind had always been stingy about spending money so only spent it when necessary. She had originally planned to buy the supplies that she needed for her travels, but now had to just expand her spending allowance just a bit because she was travelling with Aenarion. It brought a smile to her face to think that she had someone to travel with, normally she was always on her own and travel was a tiring affair, but not now, it would be more exciting for her this time around, she was sure of it.

Looking about she finally found a stall at which she could buy some dried and pickled meat and bought just enough to last. On reaching into her pocket she found three coins that she had not had before and presumed it was Aenarion's doing. She frowned and put them back. There was no way she was going to use them so she was going to give them back to him. Helgrind did not like to accept money, preferring to work for it where ever possible. She wrapped it carefully and placed it in a bag that she kept on the one large pocket of her cloak before going in search of a stand that selled other supplies like fruit and vegetable that would not go off too easily.

Once she had finished buying all that she and Aenarion would need, Helgrind made her way out of town. The sky had begun to darken as rain clouds shielded the sun from view. The elf had always enjoyed the rain and night more than anything, especially the smell that was given off by the surroundings because of the rain. Once she had reached the gate leading into the town, Helgrind looked about for signs of Aenarion, and eventually spotted him sitting on a pile of rubble from an old abandoned building. She made her way over to where he sat, noticing him staring at the surrounding skies. "It's wonderful, isn't it?" she said quietly, once she was a couple of meters from where he sat. "Nature has the most spectacular way of working... And..." she reached into her pocket and drew out the coins she presumed he had placed in her pocket and handed them back to him. "Here, I think those belong to you..." she said, smiling looking out over the surrounding areas and at the approaching storm.

Aenarion, always the expert rogue, replied with a totally straight face, and was almost offended. "Me? Are you crazy? I might have a few coins here and there, but that much to throw away? No way! Whoever gave it to you must have been worried about your health after what happened. Probably wanted to help pay for any health expenses, you know." He told her, closing her hand around the coins, turning away without so much as a smile on his face. He began to walk away, towards the gate, sensing the rain coming closer. "We are going to make a strange pair. A blood elf, which have been known to be called sun elves, and a night elf, which have been known to be called moon elves." He told her, assuming she was next to him or behind him. We was not used to traveling others, and hoped that she did not have any direction to go to, he had a tendancy to just turn up where he needed to be, afterall. A traveler? Perhaps. A merchant? Yes. He was weary of the woods sometimes, however, especially just outside of towns, bandits had a tendancy to keep their areas of ambushing near towns. Uncreative folk, bandits.

He ran a hand over his fresh shaven head, it was a new look for him, and felt funny. Never had he cut his hair so short, however, with coming into the type of weather after coming out of a cold mountain, he had decided to shave his head to help the adjustment. He had also freshly shaven his face, and, all in all, the big elf thought that he at least looked decent. Afterall, in time, his hair would grow back, besides, nothing was wrong with not having long hair. He remembered a time, when he was much younger, when he did not care for his appearance. He had learned the hard way that to look good and proper at least rendered some respect. Respect meant you get prices easier, more jobs, and the list just went on on how it benefited you. However, he couldn't really say he spent an hour a day in front of his reflection adjusting everything like some people did.

Helgrind
death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
Helgrind looked at Aenarion with a rather suspicious look as he gave his reply. He seemed to be rather taken aback almost to the point where Helgrind felt rather bad for having accused him. But what she could not fathom was why a passer-by would want to help her, especially with the amount that she had found in her pocket. But then, why would Aenarion have helped her. Aenarion closed her hand around the coins as he gave his reply and Helgrind saw no point in arguing. Being argumentative was one thing that the demon had made her, and it found strength in it, and if the elf was going to defeat the monster inside then she would avoid it as much as was possible, even if she disagreed with something.

She returned the coins to her pocket as Aenarion got to his feet and began to walk away. She walked quickly so that she was next to him before slowing down to his pace. The dark clouds where approaching a bit faster and the smell of rain was in the air. It was such a refreshing smell. As she watched the storm clouds, as well as where she was going she heard Aenarion speak again. A small grin came to her face. "Well, there where no rules that where written saying that a blood elf and a night elf where not allowed to travel together, where there?" she said, looking over to him, seeing him run his hand through his short hair. "That’s a good look for you by the way..." she said, looking out again and at the tree line.”So, are we going through the forest, around, or have you something else in mind?"

"Bald?" He laughed, I am glad someone likes it, anyway. Also, no, but there were also no rules stating you had to know where you were going if you were going some place, either." He said to her, he had left most of his weapons in the void, along with his armor. No problem, he thought, afterall, people wanted to deal with people with weapons a little less than someone they suspected to be a merchant. "Either way, I am going to go ahead and say lets go through the trees. Takes less time, a tad more dangerous, but, an adventure would be wonderful about now." Said to her. Falling uneasy with someone on his left side that would be going many miles with him. However, he knew he'd grow accustomed, not only that, she was an elf, though, they had centuries. He did, however, wonder what she could contribute to the adventure. He took notice that she carried more packs with her than he had seen originally. Big packs, too. He let her get in front of them and took about two thirds of them off her small shoulders and put them on his own. Instead of holding them with his hands, though, he just let them rest on his shoulders by the strap.

He wondered what was in the packs, they seemed far too many to carry mere supplies. However, she was a woman, and they tended to plan for any occurance. Both a curse and a blessing, however, he did not mind, nor did he say anything about the matter. The slower to him, the better, as long as they eventually got wherever they were going. Not only that, but as supplies ran out, they would be able to carry more things to sell at the next town or city. He certainly had not thought about that in his travels. The idea of simply using pouches and magic had sufficed. Along with the many caves that people stayed in. It was actually a suprise, how many people traveled, he figured that nearly every cave had been inhabbited at one time or another. They all left their small marks, and many made it more habbitable, such as a hole in the ground for storiong water, or some other sort of thing. It was genious what some of these people came up with. He took part in the decorating, too, though, like leaving books at some, making something to leave behind. He had come into contact with a trail of someone doing such a thing. He left dolls at each one, the man did, and Aenarion had responded by taking the dolls to towns and giving them to Children. In their stead, he left books. However, either the man settled down, passed away, or he simply hadn't crossed trails with him in awhile.

Helgrind
death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
A small laugh escaped Helgrind as Aenarion spoke. Bald was the only way she had seen him, and she could not remember how he looked before. It really did not matter. She looked ahead as she listened to what he said. Her face set into a more neutral expression as they continued. It was strange being around someone, but it also made her feel more content knowing that she was not alone. She looked across to Aenarion as she heard him speak again. An adventure would be enjoyable. She felt that she would be able to learn much from him. She was still very inexperienced, even after all the years that she had lived. Helgrind had always enjoyed learning new skills and things from other people, especially from those who where experienced in many situations. "Aye, no objections." she said quietly, watching the tree line. The sky had darkened quite a considerable amount by now as the dark rain clouds approached.

Helgrind had not noticed Aenarion slow down but rather worried when she felt the weight lifted off her shoulders. She had grown so accustomed to having the extra weight on her back that it was strange not feeling it. She turned around, walking backwards now; she looked at Aenarion for a second. "You know, there was no need for you to do that. But thanks anyway." she said, a neutral tone to her voice, before turning around again, facing forwards and slowing down to his pace. She was not really like other woman. Helgrind never really cared to pack in case of emergency. Instead she had always just made do with what she had with her at that particular time, which was normally not much, but over the last couple months she had gathered quite a few things that seemed rather valuable. Most of the stuff had come from her parent's home after she had killed them. Her shoulders dropped at the memory. If there was one thing she regretted it was what she had done. It was not like her to be revengeful naturally. She had proved to be her parents daughter by doing what she had done, and it hurt to have to admit to such a thing.
"It's ironic how our paths crossed again." she said, the tone of her voice a rather solemn one as she tried to get her mind off of her current thoughts.

"Sure it is, I am carrying my load. Plus it would be strange going up a hill and having to slow down because your carrying everything." He told her, once again letting his hand rub his head again. It felt funny, and probably looked funny. It did not feel like normal skin, his scalp, it felt more like rubber. As they entered the forest, they were not a moment too soon. Rain began to pour on the trees, which, while clinging to most of the water, let droplets hit them. He resigned himself to getting wet, and was all together glad he had not worn his robe today. Wearing something that got extremely wet and heavy would have been difficult, and simply impractical for him. He could have, however, used the hood from it to keep the rain off his face. But oh well, at least one of them liked being in the rain. "Can you fight?" He asked suddenly, wanting to bring in some conversation to their travels. Sure, she could kill, but, could she fight. It was one thing to kill someone, and then quite another to be able to defend yourself. Most people wouldn't randomly attack anyway, bandits normally try to simply steal and get away, rather than to harm someone.

"Just wondering, of course, if not, I can probably keep us safe for the most part. I am sure, though, that an elf of the night is very good at stealthing out of dangerous situations." He told her, wanting to be sure she knew he didn't plan on just jumping into trouble. He wouldn't do anything to intentionally put her in harms way, nor anyone else, for that matter. It was in his instinct to use his sharp tongue on those that had thick skulls. Most of the time, it didn't matter, most of the time, you could run away. However, there were those times where people would force you to fight. He just wanted to know that, if she was backed up into a corner, would she be able to handle herself?

death is always welcome to those who have felt it...
There was little chance of her slowing down too much while going up hill, even with all the packs. Helgrind had had to do so before, with heavier loads than she had with her this time. She was more fit than most, and she could endure pain and hardship more than most. She kept quiet the rest of the way and as if on queue, it began to rain as they entered the forest. Helgrind looked up at the sky and closed her eyes, enjoying the few drops of water that managed to get through the thick tree canopy. It was wonderfully cool; so relaxing. She looked forwards again and continued walking, looking ahead of her, a slight smile creeping over her face as about the forest. Helgrind kept looking ahead even when she heard Aenarion speak again. "Of course I can fight..." she said quietly, looking about the forest at all that grew and looking for anything that might seem out of place. The next thing that Aenarion said made her feel rather frustrated. She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself, and just because she was a night elf did not mean that she always managed to evade danger. When the demon had been in control she had often times just kept moving in the direction she had been going, not bothering about the dangers that potential threats caused and had eliminated them as she went. It was thanks the demon that she knew how to protect and defend herself better than she had before.

Helgrind knew that she was probably over reacting to Aenarion's words by feeling frustrated and irritated, but when others made her feel weak or defenceless then she got angry. However, despite the way she was feeling at the moment she forced smile and nodded.

"Of course." He said as if he'd forgotten she knew how to do things he'd actually never knew she could. Though, he had to hand it to her, being a woman and defending yourself in this world had to be hard, not only that, but an elf. It seemed to him like even demons and vampires were more accepted than elves were. But going beyond that, she was a woman, and a prime target for bandits, considered weak in mind and strength. He of course, knew this wasn't true, afterall he had been captured by one. Plus, he'd been married and had daughters, marriage is a thing you do when you call a person your equal. Now, however, he was in love with someone else, how he missed Mira, he wondered what she was doing day by day. He sighed, rubbed his bald head again, and looked at her almost rosey cheeks, wether from anger, outrage, or whatever, he was not sure. He also acknowledged her smile and nod with his own, it was fine to vent, as long as you didn't let it dampen your day, afterall.

The clouds had rolled in upon them, rain dripped onto them as they stepped into the trees. The water cascaded down the leaves as the pace increased ever more. He began to wonder if it had been a good idea to march out today, afterall, as great as rain was, he found that he enjoyed it much more when he wasn't in it. The mud would be the worst part of it all, and the morning chill he always had, with the prospect of being damp? That did not sound fun at all. No, not fun at all. However, at least he could suffer with someone who suffered little, he hoped.

Helgrind let out a sigh and kept walking after hearing his reply. Her frustration disappeared as fast as it had come as she felt the cool water trickling down her face. "You’re not too fond of the rain... are you?" she said quietly, looking in Aenarion's direction. The dark clouds, as well as the tree canopy blocked out most light from reaching the ground, as well as some of the rain that fell. The only sound that could be heard was that of the rain hitting the leafy tree canopy. It caused a fresh smell to be diffused form the surroundings which made it feel more alive than when it was dry. It was this that kept the elf happy. She faced forwards and walked at a slower pace than before. She could feel the water soaking into her boots and clothing and cooled her down. "Perhaps we should find some shelter just until it stops raining so hard"

OOC: It sucks and is short, i know. Sorry, mind= dead...... :(
