Klaud needed excitement. He was living death. Doing nothing, sitting alone in a dark cave waiting for the death that would not come became boring rather quickly. He began traveling, moving always at night and wearing his heavy cloak to prevent unwanted troubles. From time to time, he dismissed it simply to see if anyone mistook him for a lowly creature and attacked him. It revived him, fighting. It filled him with vitality and excitement to cross swords with others. However most humans were too weak to aid him towards the ecstasy of battle and thus he found battling hordes of monster more fulfilling. Such ambitions led him to the Ysuelte. The protruding mountains were filled with many powerful creatures such as him. There were many caves inhabit by orcs, goblins and other kinds of monsters that could offer Klaud the satisfaction of battle. From time to time brave warriors ventured into these inhospitable lands in search for adventure, but for now it seemed none had come. Klaud marched into one of the dark caves. The eerie light from his eyes shined in the darkness. Each step echoed through the unknown, without doubt waking the slumbering beast. As he threaded forward, his metal boot crushed a skull, the noise startled him and drew the broadsword known as the Sword of Shah. The blade was almost invisible in the darkness, due to its black steel. When the first Orc came forward, Klaud sidestepped and severed its arm. Afterwards he screamed into the darkness, baring his rotten teeth and challenging anything or anyone to try their luck against him. |
