The Roc tore through the clouds swiftly, a loud shriek erupting from his beak. His body titled and his direction shifted, sending the massive bird below the giant masses of water vapor. The earth far below was black, a giant wasteland. Close behind followed another massive creature, a wyvern of great size, even larger than that of the Roc. Its jaws snapped at its prey's tail, the razor sharp mangled rows of teeth aiming to tear the bird apart. One chance missed and the hunter fell back, putting some distance between the two. The Roc wasn't alone though as someone rode upon his back, though tiny compared the two beasts he was still a large man with a sword almost as large in hand.

"C'mon!" Codrus yelled, peering back over his armoed shoulder at the wyvern. A wide grin was spread across his face, the warrior finding enjoyment out of this little chase. Completely unexpected as it was, he welcomed it. Just another way to pass the afternoon. The god wasn't aware of another small problem though. Here he thought, in case he did get into a pickle, he could easily bail himself out with a few words. For the time he was safe...aslong as he kept away from the earth, kept off that black dirt. Codrus wasn't paying mind to where they had flown and was increasingly unaware of this growing problem as the Roc was chased downwards, growing ever closer.

The wyvern let out a thunderous roar as it soared down at the large bird. Codrus lifted his sword over his head, ready to fend off their attacker. That was until things changed quite suddenly and the Roc jerked up. Unable to change direction quick enough, the wyvern crashed into its prey and sent them tumbling towards the ground. They were met with a giant crash, a massive dust cloud enveloping the bunch. Codrus rolled over and over across the earth, letting out several 'umphs' until he came to a rest face down in the dirt. For a moment he sat still then coughed, tilting his head to the side and spitting out dust. "Son of a..." The warrior pushed himself up, groaning a bit as he got to his knees.

"That hurt..." Codrus shook his head and looked over at the fallen flyers. He brought a foot forward firmly and stood up, stumbling backwards a few steps. "Quite the mess, aye aye." Codrus cracked his neck, "Oi!...That feels better." That was completely unexpected, but nothing he couldn't handle. Though it looked like his companion was out for the time. "Now...where am I?" The question was finally asked and he looked around, completely lost.

Azure stood there watching the fight come to a conclusion with the roc and wyvern falling to the deaths. He had watched the whole thing since it had come to the dead magic zone. The place he commonly called home. He took a look at the person emerging from the tangle of bodies and sneered. This one smelled of blood, and lots of it. He didn't like it, not at all. He finally found a place of peace and now someone comes bringing a fight.

He took a step forward and fell from the cliff edge. The air rushed about him before the loud earth shaking and stone cracking could be heard and felt. The dust swirled as he stood. The dust was a perfect cloak as Bashfear the Hellbound came sliding outta his sheath mounted on his back. soon his arm was back as he threw bashfear. The sword whirled swirling the dust as it flew towards the intended target. The sword soon fell and the point sunk in, the sword cut the earth before sliding to a stop in front of the warrior. He soon came out of the dust Graveclaw in his hand. Both sword were huge swords. Bashfear was close to 8ft in length and Graveclaw reached 7ft.

"This warrior is the dead magic zone, home to cut throats and bandits, or to people who want to be away and don't want their peace disturbed." He spoke with a venom lined tongue. He was very pissed off right now, he had been enjoying the peace. Now since it was ruined he may as well kick the person out of his place of meditation. "Now if you would care to leave before i force you to." His grip tightened on Graveclaw as he walked forward so he was right beside the black sword bashfear. He didn't like to fight much any more. His blades though loved it, sometimes though he agreed fighting was fun. Only though when he had someone he thought was a good opponent. He hadn't found one though to call a rival.

He free hand drifted to Bashfear's gold and blue wrapped hilt. His grip tightened as he pulled the blade free of the earth it had been dug in. He held the Bashfear, whose black depths seemed to shimmer red, and Graveclaw who seemed to shine in the darkness of the Dead Magic Zone. Azure was more then willing to kick this man's ass out of the dead magic zone but both his blades and his mind told him this one would be a rival in strength. Bashfear put images into his mind of wanting to spill his blood as well as Graveclaw. He pushed the images away as he stood there waiting to see what would unfold.

Azure sheathed Graveclaw and held Bashfear in his hand, held out far from his body in a ready position.

Things had changed quite suddenly, from a fun chase through the skies and then he was here, having crashed landed in one of the most desolate of places. Codrus hadn't felt the change yet, but he would soon. The large warrior walked over to the pair of fallen flyers, a bit of a limp in his step though he paid it no mind. His concern was more his companion. The Roc was still breathing from what he could see, merely knocked out for the time. On the other hand, the wyvern had it worse off. The god's sword was impaled through the beast's chest. "Hmph....served it right," he said as he stopped next to the corpse. Codrus leaned over, looking underneath the creature for a moment. He placed his hands on its shoulder and pushed up. To his surprise it didn't budge as easily as he had thought. The warrior backed off for a moment, head tilted slightly in confusion.

Codrus looked down at his hands, a pondering gaze in his eyes before realization hit. "I'm just me again..." Now that he concentrated he could feel the void. Most of the power was gone. He was still a god in a sense, he just lacked the ability to draw from that power. His strength was several times greater but now it was back to normal, how it was before. The task of moving the wyvern wasn't such a simple matter anymore. He didn't know what could of done such a thing...not like there was a soul to ask about it either.

With a grumble he went back to retrieving his sword. It was a great deal harder than it should of been but eventually he moved the heavy bastard enough to where he could dislodge his sword from its body. "Such a bloody mess." Codrus swiped his heavy blade to the side, flinging off the beast's blood. Then he brought it to rest on his shoulder. Now that he had his weapon back he returned his attention to the lands that surrounded him now. Somewhere he was certain he hadn't been.

"Hmph?" Codrus's question was answered when someone suddenly appeared. The warrior held two blades, both of length as great as Eversor, his own sword. He cocked an eyebrow at the stranger. "Ya threatening me, lil' one?" Codrus turned his head and spat a bit of blood to the dirt. Seems his lip got a tad busted up in the crash as well. He raised his left hand from underneath his cloak, making a 'don't know' sort of motion, adding a shrug of his shoulders as he started forward, "I don't think I feel like leaving quite yet, nah...Why leave when I got an ass here who wants to get this here hunk of metal placed through their chest? Answer me that, why don't ya?" Codrus wiped his lip with his free hand, stopping approxiametely fifteen feet away from the warrior. The god waved for him to come, "I didn't get to finish me last fight how I wanted anyway."

He sighed, things turned out for the worst like always. He cracked his neck and let out his cleansing breathe. he may as well fought, bashfear was pushing him even worse then any other before this man. He himself began to want to fight, the man seeped power, and it was damn time he got off his ass and fought someone. "Fine then you walking treetrunk, i'll just cut you down."

His sword shifted grips again, bashfear went to his left but still held outwards from him. He spun bashfear once remembering the balance and weight of bashfear. He smiled a toothy grin. He began to walk calmly foward. The walk went to a sprint as bashfears point fug into the ground and was being draged, the rut was deep and trailed behind him like a snake. He was soon in striking distance when his sword swung up in a vertical left to right angled slash. He was already spinning using momentum to carry the blade. His blade carried from the spin in the same angled left-to right vertically angled blow.

He abruntly place his feet to stop as he came around in the third spin. He jabbed his sword point at the man's chest. Azure new he was fast, and strong enough to swing his sword with the skill he did. All thanks to the muddled blood of his. Before the blow was finished his sword stopped abrubtly as he shifted and brought his sword into a horizontal slash. His method of fighting...wel they're wasn't any style or grace to it, but it worked for him. After the last part of the slash he backed off abit. He drew forth graveclaw and smiled.

He was wanting to see what this man could actually do without any henderment to his swings. Some thought it was stupid, but he like to be able to calculate his oppenents strength before he let loose. Teh blows he just struck out were ment to pord him to counterattack so he could gain a measure of his oppenents skill and strength with that big blade he wielded.
