You travel north across The White Sand River for lengths coming across two palm trees which have grown only a few feet from one another. Oddly they are unaccompanied by any source of water. Curious, you walk towards them and step between the two trees when soon you are engulfed by a sudden white fog you curiously hadn't seen ahead. It encircles you, impairing your vision and mysteriously leaving only your own body visible to yourself. A slight fear touches your heart, however, standing still would lead to your eventual demise; so you begin walking blindly ahead. Within a few moments the mist dissipates leaving you at the shore of a river. Lush grass and wild flowers blanket the shoreline, trees are tall with thick trunks; their leaves and limbs wave in a gentle breeze. In the evening tiny glows of light hover about giving a fanatical and ethereal feel to the river. Inviting and beautiful you may decide to seat yourself beneath the shade of a blossomed tree to rest looking over to the sparkling waters of the River of Lethe. Be careful however, an extended visit may rob you of your most precious possessions as it seats you in its pleasures. You will begin to forget all that occurred before your visit, of acquaintances, and old friends....and eventually your own name.
A word to the wise, it would be in your best interest not to follow anyone into the river. Beautiful maiden spirits swim about beneath the surface and at times play about the immediate shoreline, beckoning you with sweet whispers to their homes below. If they manage to pull you sweetly beneath your soul may be lost to the River of Lethe forever.

******************************************************

The water trickled and flowed as it always did down the river, simmering in the sunlight, and reflecting light off onto nearby trees. Just below the water's depths, the faces, and bodies of many enticing females, swam and bounced, occasionally rising from the depths at the water's edge to look for any would be prey. "Like.. I tell you, Joseanne, there hasn't been anyone come to the river in like.. Forever." One of the maiden spirits said to the other, as she flicked her hair back over her shoulder. "Not since that horrible monster showed up anyway. I'm telling you, its getting harder and harder to meet any cute boys." With a sigh, the water spirit sat just inside the water's edge, her golden mane falling down over her slim neck, as a red headed spirit lifted herself from the water and sat next to her.

"There there, Rosey, I'm sure someone is bound to come by anyday and slay that horrible hairy beast that keeps shedding in our water. And then we can lure the brave man into the water." She giggled as she finished her sentence, Joseanne's mind playing with the many ideas that filtered through her mind. When a sudden howl peirced the nearly silent air, and sent birds scattering in all directions, the two maidens looked at each other before diving back into the water, and down into the depths with the rest of their people. They all floated, just off the bottom of the water, staring up through its crystal-like purity, waiting to see what would happen next.

Soon they could hear the sounds of barking, and thudding of hooves and padded feet as they made their way closer to the water. With out warning the sun seemed to be blotted out, but a greater light shone down upon the maidens as a Unicorn leaped over the river, only to be followed only a second later, by the sillouette of 'the beast' its long fur, encrusted in dried blood, and dirt, its wings spread out to help it make glide the rest of the way over the river that it could not jump. Then both fell out of sight on the other bank. The Maiden's looked at each other apprehensively, the beast had set its sights upon the most pure animal to walk the earth, let alone grace the River Lethe with its presence?

A horrible roar/howl filled the air, as did the neighing of the beautiful steed, before what sounded like a vicious attack followed, whimpering echoed off the stones that littered the sides of the banks, as well as a heavy thud seconds later. The Maiden's looked at each other apprehensively, could the Unicorn have slain the beast. Where they finally safe? Slowly they made their way to the waters surface, mere inches away from open air, the water began to turn a murky silver which none of the maiden's had seen before. Poking their heads through the surface, they gasped as they saw the beast, a fresh and open gash slicing down over its right eye onto its cheek, ripping the throat out of the majestic unicorn, who's silvery blood flowed into the water.

This was the first chance any had to see the beast up close. It was large and powerful, its grey fur streaked with black, and a long mane flowed down his neck and shoulders. His yellows eyes gleaming in sunlight, blood pouring down his face, as he continued to eat its prey. After swallowing a rather large mouthful, the beast, leaned its head back, from its position on all fours, and howled, two great wings, matching its fur in color, cut through the air on either side of him as they unfolded, causing the Maidens to dive back into the water.

It wasn't often that they took a trip to the Western lands. As a matter of fact it wasn't often that they went anywhere besides the forest surrounding home. but for once her brother stopped worrying about her safety all the time and actually taught her how easy it was to take to their animal form. Being were was one thing, but shrinking down and becoming a mere fox was much different. Thio found that there were so many new scents and sounds, the animal form was somewhat weaker than the were, but stronger than human, and it made things much different than she was used to. It didn't change the fact that she couldn't see, though. Ah well, she was blind all her life and she could stand being it still. Her brother didn't feel the same, instead always wishing he could give her something she'd never had. But Thio had always been more accepting than her brother.

At any rate, the two found themselves in a place unlike any other. They'd heard of how different the West was but they didn't expect this. They had followed the river and the sand, before arriving at, not a beach like they'd assumed, but a lush field bearing a sandy shore. The mist had faded and the sudden assault of new and strange scents caused the younger of the two foxes to ask her brother more questions than he could keep up with. But that was when the sudden and fierce howl and sounds of the hunt sent both of the smaller canines stepping aside and out of the way. "What was that brother?" He didn't have an answer. Thio was the bolder of the two and so she shifted, starting forward curiously until her brother shifted and grabbed her by the shoulders. 'Don't get too close. It's not like anything I've ever seen before.'

The howl caused them both to jump, startled, but it was the sound of wings unfurled that had the girl tilting her head to one side and saying to her brother. "What is it then Rex?" Her brother wouldn't answer, only wished he had brought his sword along with him. Thio only shook her head and escaped her brother's grasp before running to the water side and tilting her head in the direction of the howl. "Hello?"

The werewolf looked up from his kill, his wolf senses going crazy at the scent of another predator. It caused a deep feral growl to escape his mouth as he moved to stand on his rear legs, and stalked around the side of his kill, to stand between it and the newcomer. "Back off! This is mine, My hunt, My Kill, MY FOOD!"Cuan answered in a series of barks and growls as he continued to stand between the werefox he could see, and the second one that he could smell in the area. The Unicorn behind him continued to bleed out into the water, as silver blood covered his mouth.

Cuan could not help but look at the female werefox's eyes. They were clouded over, the obvious sign of blindness. Shaking his long mane, Cuan began to stalk up and down infront of his kill, ruffling his feathers from time to time, as he mulled something around in his head. "If you'll wait till I've had my fill... You can have yours. Deal?" Cuan snapped, as he jerked his golden eyes back to the blind fox. Something inside of him, deep down, seemed to leak back from the months of Lethe's magic working on him. Remembering how the creatures of the woods had raised him, shared with him when they killed, all because he was an orphan, a lone wolf. How could he recieve such kindness and then turn around and be such a bastard to this poor bitch.

Cuan stopped moving. "And you, coward of the pack who the bitch belongs too. You might as well eat as well." Cuan stepped back before turning, returning to all fours as he ripped a rather large chunk out of his meal, and stalked away, sitting near the water's edge as he began tearing at the meat. "....Cuan..." He said his name, or what he remembered his name being between bites of the raw meat, more silver blood pouring down his face as he tore at the chunk of meat. His golden eyes never left the blind fox as he ate his food, as if studying the creature before him before deciding whether or not to attack and kill. His tail slowly dipped into the cool water of the river before he swished it back and forth, sending its refreshing coolness over his body and fur.

Her head remained tilted still, the gesture reminiscent of a curious canine's in itself. But she could hear better and the wind shifted in her favor so she didn't even seem aware of the fact that she was indeed blind. Already her brother had run over, pulling the girl behind him and watching the strange creature at its kill. Inwardly he cursed at his sister for her ways, but he really couldn't stay mad at her for more than a few moments. It was the way of an older sibling to worry for her. Thio couldn't understand anything the creature was 'saying', though its scent reminded her much of her own kind. Had they stumbled upon another were at the hunt? "I don't understand." She admitted, but her brother finally sighed and his posture changed. He had been a were much longer than his sister, and so he understood well enough. After the older relayed to his sister what the wolfish creature had said, the girl nodded in understanding. 'Thank you for the offer but.' He was interrupted by his sister suddenly going fox once more and making her way carefully over the stones. Even blind she managed not to fall into the river.

Resting on a large enough stone to keep her above water she looked in the direction of the larger were. If it had not been for the color of her eyes she could have fooled others into thinking she did have sight. It was thanks to the lycanthorpy that her other senses were strong enough. "That's my brother, Rex. I'm Thio. Sorry for interrupting you. I was just curious. We don't see many others like you where we are from. You're lycan too, right?" Her brother had given up by this point on drawing his sister away. As long as the creature didn't make any move to hurt her Rex would leave them be. He knew far too well by now that once his sister was curious in something, she wouldn't let it alone until she learned all she could.

Cuan's sense of smell picked up something. His instincts were running wild. Rising slowly he sniffed the air, yes, he could smell it now. His yellow eyes looked at the Werefox girl with an insatiable hunger. His eyes then traveled to the brother, yes, his scent was so close to the girl 'Thio's' that it was obvious. "I am not sure what a Lycan is... But if it is an animal on two legs, then yes that would be me." Cuan began to move closer to Thio, walking in a large circle leaving the meat behind. "Go ahead, Thio, eat as much as you want. I will not stop you." Cuan's eyes turned to her brother though, clear animalistic rage in them, as if daring him to take a step before Thio had eaten her fill.

Cuan moved up closer to Thio, from behind, the scent was much stronger now, and he was using his massive frame to keep the other Were behind him. "I have never met another like me. Well, not just like me. I'm a Wolf, while you are obviously a Fox. But it is good to see another." Cuan growled lightly as he came up directly behind her, barely brushing his fur across her. "Especially such a pretty young thing." If his mouth would have allowed it he would have smirked, but instead it all showed in his eyes. His true desire. Slowly he moved away from her, walking infront of her back to the kill, before using his nose to push it over so the stomach faced Thio.

The werewolf moved down to lay by the water again, growling at the Maiden Spirits that were still floating to close to the water's surface for his liking, causing them to sink back down into the depths. He turned his eyes back onto Thio, and watched her, his yellow eyes not leaving her. Her scent was intoxicating, and he loved it. Never before had he desired another so strongly. "It wont bite, I promise you that. And neither will I."

"Well its more than that. It's," She thought for a moment, not sure how to explain it. Her brother called it an affliction, but that made it sound like a bad thing. And Thio was glad for being what she was, though the circumstances that led her to become lycan like her brother, weren't what one could call favored. Even what led her brother to become such was not a happy story. "I don't know how to explain it actually." She admitted, and wondered if her brother could explain better. But she wasn't going to bother him at the moment, because the first time she drew his attentions more focused to her the sooner he would want to leave. And Thio wasn't ready to leave yet, she hadn't even found out what the deal with this other lycan was. Now, Thio was not exactly well traveled, as a matter of fact she lived a rather sheltered life with her brother. Her brother tried so hard to protect her from anything that might hurt her in any way. So Thio was a bit on the naive' and pretty much oblivious side, having no idea what the wolf's sudden intentions had become. Though if she had sight, she might have caught the look on her brother's face that showed he was not happy. For the moment however, the older werefox wasn't going to go on the aggressive side. Though that was only for his sister's benefit, to make this other creature angry while his sister was now separated from him wouldn't turn out so well.

Her ears twitched, following the sounds of the werewolf's movement. When he spoke her head tiled in his direction. She didn't know why he was moving around so, but she wasn't worried. Even if the wolf was bigger than her, the fox was faster. So she had confidence that she could slip away easily if the occasion called for it. While generally speaking Thio didn't eat while she was in this form, and if she could help it the were, the scent of something so different as the slain unicorn was hard for her current animal nature to resist. If she could see his eyes she probably would have had second thoughts, but as it was she could detect nothing amiss. She stood, stepping lightly towards the offered meal. Before her human sense of reason could have her doing otherwise she son found her muzzle covered with the silvered blood and the scent of it obscuring all else. The brother watched on, cautious as ever before a flitting movement at the corner of his eye drew him. Were or not, overprotect brother or not, he found himself forgetting all else, unwillingly enchanted by the nymph's spell.

Cuan's gaze was locked on the younger were girl. His golden eyes seemingly unable to look away as his ears pricked at every sound that flittered by. It didn't take long before a consented sigh escaped his massive wolf frame and he collapsed onto the beach. The golden sand clung to his grey fur, but stood out mostly against the black stripes that criss crossed his body. He stretched his wings out, readying himself for a longer stay in this position until something caught his attention. Singing....

Cuan's yellow eyes snapped over to the brother, who's name he couldn't remember, and wasn't sure if Thio had even mentioned he was there since she had begun talking to him. But he knew that song, the luring call of the Maiden Spirits, who had attempted to drag him to the river's depths, only to have several of their number pulled to dry land. Rising quickly, he ran across the sand and up onto the stones that snaked across the river. Leaping from stone to stone, he slammed his weight into the smaller figure, sending him crashing into the rough sand on the other bank as he turned his attention to the Maidens.

He growled loudly before snapping at them across the top of the water. Opening his mouth, he reared back, allowing the air to escape his long and push through his muzzle, a deafening howl echoeing out over the water, and through the forest. The howl translated to "Mine! My Protection! Pack or No!" The noise traveled far and wide through the magically hidden section of Avalon. Cuan suddenly turned toward the brother. "Rex, Right? Stay away from the water except for short bursts to drink. And do not listen to the spirits, or risk being drowned and left to be devoured by scavengers like Jackyls." Turning his back on the male werefox, Cuan made his way back toward Thio and the Unicorn. Thumping back down where he was before, still keeping himself between Rex and Thio, though now his eyes seemed to be closed in rest.

Even in the midst of lunch, as it were, she continued to listen in to the suddenly calmed sounds of the river. This place was so different from the forest back home, even though there were plenty of lakes and streams there wasn't such a large river as this. The life here was different, much different than that of back home. It made Thio think that she was tired of home and that she wanted to visit places like the West more often. The only place she went to besides home was Avalon City and it no longer held any interest to her. Finally she found that she had eaten her fill, and stepping away from the prey she slowly returned to the rock she'd been perched upon and lounged there, cleaning the blood from her fur.

The elder fox was dead to the real world now, having fallen victim to the water maidens even against his will. Such beautiful songs and such promises, all these things tat made him forget everything that had ever happened in his life, even made him forget the sister he spent his life trying so hard to protect. He didn't even notice the cool of the water at his feet now, as he was lured in, closer and closer to a death he never would imagine. Rex didn't even hear his sister calling for him, as she had just noticed that something was wrong. The splash of water and his sudden silence concerned her as she turned to bound over the rocks, but another sound stopped her.

It was the heavy thud of the two hitting the sand, and a curse from the elder fox caused Thio to pause and simply listen. Her ears twitched rapidly as she listened intently. The brother stared blankly at the larger were, before he suddenly shook his head and realized how close to death he had easily become. 'Y .. .yeah. I don't even know what happened.' He looked at his sister apologetically, before standing and brushing the sand off himself. Thio tilted her head at the wolf's howl, now that she had changed forms she understood it well enough. If she had been human at the moment she would be unable to help herself from smiling at that.

It had been early morning when Kael had first approached the out skirts of the surrounding mist, its tendrils playing invitingly with the morning’s first light. This Kael still remembered, but why he had come in the first place now lied forgotten shrouded by the mist, a mystery that would perhaps never to be remembered. Kael found he could still remember the sensation upon first entering the mist but three day ago. No, not three days, but three weeks, yes he had defiantly set foot in this accursed mist three weeks ago. The days seemed to meld together as night was forgotten. To Kael, with his affiliation to mist and the cold, the sensation had been one of magically induced calm and cleansing, not something to spark alarm and caution in ones self. But Kael new differently now, or at least he did when he could remember. For that was what the mist cleansed you of, your memories, whether the taste of freshly down boar or how to articulate the spoke word, it did not matter, all could fall victim to the mist’s spell. One of the first to be lost by Kael, was his memory into, and therefore path out of, this place. And so he wondered in the hope to stumble across the forgotten exit.

By his second week within the mist Kael had found ways to, if not counter, at least dull the mists devious spell. The first was to fight fire with fire, calling forth his own mist to displace and dilute the cursed one. The second was to forget, hiding your most cherished memories deep within your mind locking them there, for Kael had found that it was the memories most dominate within your mind that were taken first. So now Kael walked alone in a mist of his own devise, without even this memories to keep him company for fear of loosing them.

An overwhelming roar drew Kael out from his mindless existence. To the animalistic tiger part of his mind that had formed dew to his lycanthropy the roar had clearly translated to a challenge, despite neither half knowing the language, whether it had been forgotten in the mist or had never been know made no difference. A challenge meant there was a threat, and his instincts were one thing not even this mist to diminish. Out of all things he was or had been, a lycan, a murderer, a hunter, a lover, only one had always been and always would be, as if it made up his very essence. Kael was a protector. Without though Kael was bounding on all fours towards the threat. Even upon clearing the cursed mists borders, nothing more showed of he that a large quadrupled form scarcely visible through the dense fog that continually washed forth from him.

The large wolf watched as the girl moved forward toward her brother. He watched her feet and tail, making sure nothing would try to burst out of the water and get her. His eyes locked on her, he let his other senses, his hearing, and his sense of smell to detect other presences in the area. A deer was lurking just out of sight on his right. A rabbit and its children were hiding in a hole roughly twenty feet away. And something big was rushing towards the waters edge. His yellow eyes turned toward the north, where the noise was approaching from. The Entrance... wasn't that place like.. a few feet wide? Cuan shook his head as he stood, turning to Thio and Rex he growled before barking a few times. "Get low, get away. I don't know what is coming."

Cuan moved around, putting himself between the foxs, and the sound of something approaching. It outweighed him, by a lot. Most likely bigger, stronger, and new. That was a dangerous combination around here. Spreading his wings he extended the claws he had at the end of his claws, as he began to growl, deep down in the back of his throat. He knew this was going to be something he had never seen before.. well that he could remember. Flipping his main back out of his eyes, he lowered himself down to all fours, as he moved along with the sound and the smell, keeping himself between the thing and the little ones.

Cuan flicked the blood off his lips with the side of his tongue, enjoying the taste as he did so. The werewolf maneuvered around again, keeping his face toward the new comer, and staying between it and the foxs. "Come out, who ever you are." Cuan barked out, hoping that like the foxes whatever this thing was could understand him as well.

With a full belly now she couldn't help but feel a bit sleepy at the moment. She couldn't remember the last time she had eaten so much and the blood of the unicorn was much stronger than any prey she might have caught before. Feeling the need to curl up and rest for a moment she took a quick drink from the river before stepping lightly across the stones again. Reaching the other bank she stepped through the sand before finally reaching her brother, who was waiting for her. he knew better than to reach over and pick her up or anything. Despite his sister's blindness he knew she'd be offended for the help she didn't need anyways. Rex smiled ruefully at the recollection of a few days ago, where'd he'd carried her over an entrenchment despite her protests. She'd actually bit him for that, even though neither was ever truly angry with the other it was an amusement at least.

Thio curled up at her brother's feet, though he only smiled and shifted to the fox as well to lay down beside her. It was so easy to tell that they cared much for each other, they were siblings who got along so well that neither would know what to do if something happened to the other. But that was something only Rex thought of often, he was the worrier of the two. Despite her blindness and her insatiable curiosity that usually got her into trouble, Thio was the calmer.

Just as the two foxes had stretched out comfortably in he sand they were jolted to their feet by the sounds of something fast approaching. They only nodded at the warning bark, despite being lycan they were strangers to this place, both knew it was better to follow the wolf's lead. They stepped further from the river side, crouching in the sand as one watched with cautious eyes and the other listened intently. Of course they couldn't help but wonder. What could that new thing possibly be, and could it be any more unusual than the strange wolf they'd just met?

For better or for worse Kael was not like any of the three other lycan to be found by the river that day. For starters, the root animal of his lycanthropy was one of the big cat, not a canine. Rarer still was that his animal form was that of a white tiger. Unlike the foxes Kael had never been afflicted, he was what was known as a natural lycan, having had instead been born with the so called curse, inheriting it from his afflicted mother. Nor had he ever given anyone the affliction like the older of the foxes. Or more accurately none he a bitten had survived long enough for the condition to manifest. Nor thankfully was he like the wolvern hybrid, stuck in the one form, having long ago mastered his inherent ability to shift between his human, animal and hybrid forms at will. The only parts of him constant throughout, was his mind and his golden eyes, pupils slitted in all but the darkest of conditions. And unlike all three of them, Kael had never understood the canine tongue, having only been able to converse with humans and felines. Perhaps had he known any of this or had understood their words, things may have turned out differently. But he didn’t so Kael reacted as he would against any other hostile animal.

From beneath layers of mist Kael lets out a deep growl, that had any present been able to understand would have translated to: I’m in no mood to fight, now back down. To punctuate this Kael let out a long primal roar, designed to show strength and intimidate the opponent into surrender. Even as his form shifted, hidden by the mist, the roar didn’t quaver. Till at last cutting it off sharply, before he managed to wind himself with the effort. Normally Kael would have remained in his tiger form but he had learnt at a young age, from pouncing of the large eagle of his mountain home, that the long horizontal back made too tempting a target that was too hard to defend against, for it to be practical against aerial foe, which the two wings adorning the wolves back indicated towards. Shacking his head slightly Kael spoke aloud with regret believing him the only one within ear shot who could understand any of it. “Why do I always get myself dragged into these messes?”

Rickshaw Xavier
You Are the dreamer...! And we are the dream!
Rickshaw had been in the area of the River of Lethe for only 24 total hours. The forest was amazing; so very different from the forest he was used to. He had heard of forests like these, called Jungles, but he had never seen one. At the moment, his situation was dire, almost life threatening. The boy was in the river, currently in his hybrid form. His fins that sprouted out of his back, arms, and legs helped him cut through the water. Gils gave him the ability to breathe under water. Powerful muscles that he had developed as a result of the change helped keep him just ahead of the water spirits that threatened his life.

Already had he killed one of their kind, for she had gotten in his way. His razor sharp, almost needle like teeth cut through her with ease, causing her blood to pollute the water. He didn't regret it, nor would he ever. Rickshaw was a very odd lycan, having been afflicted by a pike, a very vicous fish. The one who had bitten him had been stuck in the animal form, cursed and blessed at the same time. The thoughts were pushed out of his mind as he could hear others in the general area, but on land. He didn't venture out yet though, though his fins did help him travel qucikly, cutting through the air as he did the water.

"Stop bothering me you nymphs!" Rickshaw seemed to hiss rather loudly as he turned quickly, his yellow eyes staring the women down. He shot forwards, moving silently and quickly as his teeth ripped through yet another woman. The others screamed in fear and ran, no longer wishing to gain revenge. Rickshaw would have roared in victory, if he had that ability. He slowly moved to the shore now, taking the fin on his back into his body. There was no need for it. The fins on his arms and back of his legs however, he kept out. They were sharp, almost like blades. They were very useful when defending and attacking outside of the water. His teeth remained the same, pointed, needle like and deadly, his yellow eyes looking around. The only elements he was able to control in his hybrid form was his fins, which was fine with him. Rickshaw would keep the needle teeth anyways, they were much more affective.

He now made his way forwards, wanting to find the people he had heard. The howling was a good way to track and he soon heard voices again.

"Is there anyone there?" Rickshaw hissed, not wanting to stumbled on anything to bad, for he was small, but very fast. If the need arised, he could easily escape.

They watched carefully, the two foxes. It was Thio who first caught scent of another something vaguely familiar, that reminded her of not only herself and her brother but the wolf they'd just recently met. Even being in the animal form she could still tell the difference between mere beast and more sentient life. There was a difference between were and animal, she could tell as much. Despite the growls and snarls, the howls of forewarning and of fury, she stood. Much to her brother's whine of protest the blind fox slunk out of her hiding place and crossed the sands. Slowly she picked her way across the beach, mindful not to startle any hidden creatures into swarming off and causing a means to startle the confronting lycans. She stalked slowly, before coming to the edge of the shore, with a flick of the tail she jumped onto a flat stone. The water barely ran past her feet before she had left from one rock to another, and to another, her brother quickly coming up behind. Mindful of the nymphs that even now would try and lure him in he shifted his gaze to the gathering mist.

Thio got quickly to the opposite back, her small form slipping past the winged lycan and standing between the cat and the wolf. Without caution and without concern she stood with a pause to shake the sand from herself she turned her back to the protection of the wolf and faced the tiger. She could understand him, and had heard the wolf's words before. "He's not any threat Cuan." With a twitch of the ear the young were tilted her head upwards, a new scent suddenly making itself know. "Odd." Her attentions were now split between three, as she attempted to halt the conversation between wolf and tiger and to figure out what this new creature was. All she knew was that the scent almost reminded her of her seaside home back in BridgersVille. Hesitating for a moment she changed form, becoming mere girl as she brushed the sand from herself. "I can't talk like that." She muttered, tilting her head slightly to one side. Her brother, still fox, appeared beside her. Thio first tilted her head in the direction of the tiger in the mist. "He was only trying to protect us." She then glanced in the direction of the newest arrival. "There's three of us."

Cuan's head was spinning. All these new scents were attacking his hypersensitive nose, causing him to feel like he was drowning. Then suddenly the fox-girl Thio actually changed into what looked like one of the Maidens. Taken back, he jumped back a little, releasing a low growl. The animal infront of him was big, bigger then he was, and he was pretty sure it was stronger. How he wished he had a pack with him now. This would be so much easier. Then another scent filtered in, adding to his feeling of confusion and drowning. Cuan shifted his gold eyes upon another person, this one with fins growing out of his body. This was getting weirder and weirder by the minute.

All these creatures just kept pouring in. These.. cats, canines, and fish. This was turning into a bad dream for the wolf who had spent so much of his life alone. Raising up on his hind legs, the werewolf shook his head, and spread his wings before turning his face toward the sky. It was time to get things back they way they were. This was his territory, his home, the only place he could remember, and he would protect it with his life. Opening his mouth as wide as he could, the werewolf released another howl. This one echoeing through his race, through the wolf lycanthropy to his very primitive core. The roaring noise, caused the rocks to tremble and shake, the trees to wave and bend in the gust of air that accompanied the massive howl.

Deep within the primitive howl, another looming power of the werewolf creeped into play. Horror, shook with the air, and echoed off of every rock and tree, bouncing through the air like speeding bullets, as the howl continued to spread, causing the river to begin to splash over its banks and sending the remaining Maiden's swimming for cover, as pure horror launched forth from the werewolves jaws.

Finally he began to lower himself back down to all fours, folding his wings in around him as his eyes searched for Thio. "Tell them this is my territory! And no one just runs into it with out permission with out giving something in return!" He understood the fox could talk to these creatures better then he could, and also gave the warning to all three who he considered outlanders, the Tiger, the Fish, and the Brother Fox.
