Sujin smiled, he had succeeded in understanding the man before him. Such was an easy task, a warrior’s heart was always exposed when in a fight, and Sujin just wished he could have learned more. It mattered not though for Sujin knew all he needed to know. Now it was time for Sujin to show Invictus who he was, what he was about and how he received so much strength in so little time. This is where Invictus understands why Sujin cannot and will not join this Clan of his… This clan, and Sujin joining it would mean the end of something, but Sujin didn’t have the sight to see what it meant the end of.

“Nothing personal eh? Heh… since I have seen into your heart its time you see into mine.” As Sujin said such, he himself dug deep into memories…. Memories he wished never happened. First massive burst of happiness and other such emotions caused Sujin’s natural aura, his natural ability for flame began to show although extremely dampened from the environment but still it was able to be felt. Sujin’s eyes glazed over as he looked up at the reawakened man before him, his face painted with a look of happiness and excitement. Most berserkers could only tap into rage… while Sujin could tap into other emotions for strength as well.

Invictus circled around Sujin, but it wouldn’t last for Sujin attacked almost instantly Brining Infurnus around in a sharp sweep to the knees in a full 360 degree spin. His off hand brought Sjach’Sone and as it whipped about it too was aimed for his chest. Images of Sujin’s childhood flowed though the river that was his mind. First a picture of his mother… a woman by the name of Sable, a paladin of the old order she was a tall woman, well built and stern. Loving however, but very strict full of rules and such, never allowing Sujin to be what he could be for fear of what he was… how much power his small frame housed. Then, there was his father. A tall dark figure, constantly cloaked in an aura of darkness his body draped in black, a vampire... This was a man that commanded respect and would get it with a simple glace. But, despite all this, he was extremely happy go lucky… childish almost. He was the total opposite of his mother though, always wanting Sujin to become more than he was… to become strong to protect what he believed in to fight for what is right in his mind.

Constantly Sujin attacked his swings wild and dangerous yet precise and deadly. Sujin’s happy rage continued to fuel his onslaught of blows. Every single strike held memories of happiness Sujin shared, from his childhood to the training he did to become a Dragon Tribe member, all the way to the happiness he felt when he was in love.

A simple turn of the sword in his hands and Invictus blocked the attack from the two swords, using his strength to hold them at bay as he felt the emotions coming from Sujin. The tattooes on Invictus' chest began to burn as the two of them began moving their swords forward and back in their fight. Invictus refused to fall to Sujin's attacks, blocking and moving as he could to stay away from the blows. But he was also slower now than he expected, three times the larger sword gashed his side, and twice the smaller tore into his chest.

But Invictus refused to submit to the pain, and began moving into an assault of his own. The tattooes of his father's draconic tribe blazed in the heat as the sun began to pour down onto the two fighters. Invictus willed away the pain of the sun, refusing to stop the fight even for the burning sores growing, etching out his back. He twisted his sword, between that of his opponents, trying not only to counter the blows, but hopefully strike the Fang Dragon before him.

The happy memories flushed over the vampire, showing him the man he faught. No, he was more than a man, much more. And but he fought as only a barbarian. In a clash of blades Invictus spoke. "So you have awakened me, let me awaken you. This place brings down our magic, brings down what we think we are. But we are who we are, our strength does not rely on magiks of any kind. Have we both not fought for what we have? You are a Fang Dragon, you fought for the strength and speed you possess, not through the ideals of magic, but through the flames that swallow a warriors heart. We are playing by rules we have not agreed to, Sujin. I don't want to know I fought you at your weakest, I want to know I fought you when you were fighting at your strongest!" With a heave of all that he was Invictus pushed his blade against those of his opponent.

Invictus held his own, only being cut every now and then, while at the same time, counterblows and such continued to rip into Sujin’s skin. The toothed blade smiling with a venom that was the young immortals blood. Yet Sujin felt no pain, for in a berserker’s state, nothing mattered but the opponent and Sujin knew his opponent was just before him lashing out with everything he had to keep Sujin’s thundering rage at bay. However, the happiness soon faded, until darkness swept over Sujin the face that was painted on his face faded and a look of sorrow appeared.

That love faded into hatred, as his first love was taken from him. Her soul taken by a great demon, the later years of his life where filled with hatred as he trained not to protect like his father said to do… but for vengeance. In that time, Sujin gave up his very Soul… his humanity to save his loved one. As such… his love came back to him. But Sujin left her to hunt this demon… to fight him once more to take back what he had stolen. Sujin hunted this demon for years until he found him…. Fought but didn’t defeat him. On his way back home he got a message from his love… and she had turned on him taken his Soul for granted and using it to control his people to fight Sujin.

Enraged Sujin continued his onslaught, the hatred pouring from his frame as Flashes of chaotic energy, crimson energy pulsed and exploding from ever blow that connected. Sujin was blind to everything but that rage. Flashes of empty eyes black sockets full of a black flame. Weakened he was but the Chaos inside him… his purest form leaked from Sujin in flashes as he continued to attack absorbing every blow given while at the same time unleashing blows of his own. Anger was his fuel now, and it would continue to be his fuel until this very memory was ended.

Kanta sent ever warrior, ever child, ever woman to fight him as Sujin scaled his mountain home. Fighting off his very people, every person he was raised with until he finally met the person that sent his people upon him. Roaring his voice cracked and leaked a primal rage as Sujin dug deeper into his well of power and memories. Remembering his flesh searing and burning as her holy blade sunk itself deep inside his stomach tearing flesh from bone as Sujin stepped into it… ripping her wings off and throwing her off the mountain that Sujin offered as her new home. Pain… Sujin felt actual pain to do such to a woman he honestly loved, a woman he gave his very Soul to keep her aive.

The sun burned on Invictus' back but he continued to throw off the searing pain of his flesh. Continued to push away the wracking pain as Sujin continued to eat away at his flesh with his swords. It seemed with this last flood of memories that Invictus was beginning to see the similarities between himself and Sujin. The fang dragon had begun pushing the transcended back, but Invictus dug his heels into the ground and began to fight back, no longer content to be drowned by images of the dragon's past.

He himself had monster's in his own past, in his own mind Invictus could see every face, and every moaning scream of pain, as over twenty thousand men and women, and even one donkey, were placed upon the spikes that made up the forest outside of his Castle Home. Each of those screams had brought him pleasure, now they added to his torment, and longing to become something more. To have their lives he took truly forgotten, but as a weapon to drive him forward. Invictus' fangs began to slide down, as smoke began to rise from his back.

He was beginning to feel less human, less attached to his body. But inside, the beast he had long ago taught to heel was roaring with anger, the transcended was sliding back down the coils he had spent ages learning. This place was draining him greatly, but he would push forward. "Death and betrayal are parts of life, Sujin. It is the Change that lives within our hearts, that constantly morphs the future. Love can change to hate, and vise verca. What once was warmth can become the freezing bitterness of ice. You understand this, and use it. But still you can learn MORE from it, Even now we are changing, every molecule of our body forcing us further than we should be able to go. Change is the fruit of the chaos of this world."

The rage, hate and anger soon subsided… his face again void of emotion. Sujin had stopped his attack, his body slumped over leaning on his two swords heaving as his wounds of torn flesh and the like began to heal. Heaving Sujin stood up to his full height once more both swords held out in front of him. Sjach’Sone dropped to the ground along with the chains as Infurnus was again gripped in both hands. His body was void of emotion until another wave of energy shot from his body. The aura only reached out an inch or two before being absorbed by the area around them, the black dust absorbing everything Sujin exerted.

A tear dropped from Sujin’s eyes as memories of his mother’s death filled his new found action. Sadness that he knew… he knew his mother would die sooner or later. But Sujin did not expect it to happen so soon! He didn’t want her to go! But she left him… alone in the world… while his father ran away… unknown to anyone of his location. Sujin was alone for the first time in his life, and it took the young immortal a long time to remember that in truth he wasn’t. Yes, his mother was dead and his father gone, but that didn’t mean Sujin had no one to turn too.

Sujin struck with carelessness, random blows coming from everywhere uncaring how the sword was swung. In truth Sujin did more damage to himself than he did to his opponent. But Sujin was grieving… and he didn’t care what he was doing, he just wanted it to stop. But… just as quickly as the sorrow swept over his body, something else came over Sujin. Something completely different yet all the same, unbridled emotion the lines that defined rage from calmness, happiness from sorrow all of the lines where blurred. Sujin was himself again… which a true embodiment of fire was, understanding that everything has a purpose… that even in death new life came. Sujin knew that in his mother’s death… his new life had begun… the life where he had no Soul was over.

“You see? This… This is why I cannot and will not join you. You have the strength in you to do what you need to…. Look into yourself for power neither the past nor anyone else. Fire is my element and my way of life… I have no reason to step into this war of yours.” Sujin nodded… extending his healing aura outwards to engulf Invictus. The Sun visibly searing his flesh… ah… the greatest weakness of a Vampire. Sujin wouldn’t let this one die like that though… oh no… this one had an unknown future ahead of him… power that dwelled within him just waiting to be unlocked. “Well… come! Show me what you have learned!”

The vampire smiled, his adrenaline really getting a kick in now. The wounds on his back and flesh had healed quickly thanks to Sujin. And now he wanted to see what Invictus was truly made of. He took a moment to clear his mind, before pointing his sword in front of him again. "Sujin, it is an honor to fight someone as wise as you. Perhaps there is still more I can learn from you."

Raising his sword in his hands, it suddenly felt lighter, Invictus' eye teeth began to lengthen, becoming half as long as his canines. He brought down his sword with all the strength of a Vampire, but there was something more entangled in it. Invictus' draconic blood seemed to have merged with that of his Vampiric half, and the two came upon Sujin as one. Invictus moved with the grace of the ages he had lived, while striking with the speed of the vampire he was, and the strength of his Draconic lineage. The twin blades of his rivet edged sword hummed as they moved through the air, lashing out like a snake at a would-be attacker, as if extensions of Invictus' own fangs.

He moved with reason, with logic behind ever step as he continued to push his body forward, not willing to step backwards anymore. The Fang Dragon wanted to see what the Transcended was capable of, and he would show him exactly what that was. His gold eyes became ringed with red veins, as the outline of his pupils became green. "Move forward, never backward. Remember the changes of the past, learn from them, but never dwell. Use now, this time, the present to move into the future, with every step of your being have purpose behind it. And unleash the power sleeping within."

“Ah shut it with the honor crap and give me ya best shot!” Sujin crouched low, Infurnus bringing brought around in a purely offensive stance. The tassel on the back of the blade began to spin, continuity spinning despite the fact that there was no wind about. This was a sure fire sign that Infurnus was channeling Sujin’s energy. The four crystals that are inlayed in the hilt began to glow as Sujin poured his newfound energy into the blade. As he did so, an instant heat wave washed over the entire area. Groaning a flash of scales shot across Sujin’s face his eyes constantly shifting back and forth between crystal blue and fire red.

His power was extremely dampened in this area, but Sujin did have the will power in fact to draw upon his inner strength every now and then. His power may have been weakened, but Sujin himself was far from weak… he had enough fire within him to handle anything given to him. And what was given to him now was a vampire by the name of Invictus. As the blade shot forward Sujin growled and roared taking a mighty stomping step forward shattering the earth beneath his foot bringing Infurnus upwards blocking the sword with rather ease. The fang dragon’s draconic strength returned in that one moment, and would return in glimpses every now and then.

One thing however, would obviously be a little too much for Sujin was the fact that Invictus was moving about a lot faster than Sujin could in his current state. The young immortals saving grace would have to be his quick reflexes and his agility. After a moment or two Sujin stepped backwards Infurnus raised again this time over his shoulder… dodge and counter… it would be his new game plan for he was too slow to keep up with Invictus… it made him laugh, to be too slow. Now he knows how others feel when they fight Sujin… to be too slow to keep up. Such a thing was new to Sujin… and an extremely valuable learning experience.

Invictus moved to continue the assault. He could see the fang dragon was moving slowly now, and even now the toll was beginning to set in on the vampire. He could not remember fighting anyone for this long. It was something purely out of his character in the past. Usually it would be a simple fight, one person going down to the other, whether in death or in shame. But this Fang Dragon was pushing Invictus to his limits, limits the vampire was determined to shatter. His dragon and vampire blood pulsed in his veins, bringing out something in him he had never felt before. Was it this place, or merely the presence of being so close to one who shared these same blood ties?

No, something inside Invictus told him that this could only go so far. He had glimpsed the abilities of this Sujin before in the fight. The Fang Dragon could come at him with something completely new from the defensive sword stylings he had now. But Invictus continued to push forward, when the time came he would react as he could, and never back down. This was the way his mind was working now, planning ahead would get him killed. Now was what he had to worry about. Every ounce of his being drove him forward, swung his sword, first diagnally from left to right, before arching in the air to return from the other direction.

For now he felt like the serpent, striking searching for an opening to attack the person who would attack him. The feral beast inside him howled with rage as he pushed forward, seeming to want to join in the fray, but Invictus kept it back. This was no time to lose his head over a fight. To do so could be his own death warrant. "So tell me Sujin, what do you know of an Anthro Dragon named Levethian?"

Sujin had to admit, this one was strong but even Sujin in his weakened state still had an advantage. Endurance, Sujin has the endurance to make a work horse seem like a lazy drunk. The Fang Dragon has been training since he was old enough to wield a sword…. The warriors of his tribe are all known for there amazing endurance, strength and agility along with a natural hardness to the elements and magic. It seems that this is what it would come down to… who could last longer? Would it be Sujin… or the new upstart Invictus? Only time will tell… and the both of them had nothing but time being immortal and all.

Sujin watched as Invictus ran though random things in his head; he could feel the very gears of the mind working. This one was thinking too much, but then again perhaps thought was what kept him alive. For Sujin it was pure instinct and gut feelings, never really thinking ahead just reacting when ever possible. Such was the way of Sujin, the way of any barbarian. But this one had skill, as he came forward attacking striking his blade out in a swift dancing like motion… much like the way Lain used her double bladed sword to fight. Sujin knew what to do with a warrior like that… for if he tried to counter Lain would only counter his counter which would end up getting Sujin sliced up.

A diagonal Slash, Sujin built up strength and leaped backwards landing a lot harder than he normally would however he had to quickly side step as the blade whipped around once more smiling as it came at Sujin in the opposite direction. The blade however frowned as it missed Sujin’s flesh once more. Countering Sujin brought Infurnus off his shoulder down in a sharp vertical slash curving near the end of the slash. As he did such Sujin stepped forward again then over using the momentum of the heavy blade to come around again in a horizontal slash. Heaving upwards Sujin again allowed the momentum to carry his body up and into the air hoping to deliver a knee to Invictus’ chin. “Nothing… couldn’t tell you a thing… I know no vampires outside of you and very few others.” Sujin said his voice grunting from the swing of his blade then trailing off as he sailed through the air.

The vampire was taken offgaurd by Sujin's attack, having been lost in thought. He felt the slash of steel on flesh, tearing at his skin, before again the steel of Sujin's sword embraced his skin. The force lifted the vampire from his feet, only to be met with a knee to his chin when sent him sprawling across the dark dust of the place, sliding backwards before finally stopping.

He stood, shaking his head as he looked at Sujin, "My father was not so weak as to become a Vampire. He was a great warrior, a Dragon no less. But I know nothing of his lineage, only that it flows through my veins." Invictus stood, dusting himself off, stretching out his muscles as he ignored the wounds on his chest. A cloud covered the sun, allowing him some more protection from the hated orbs rays. "Perhaps on another day, in another place, our swords will cross again." Invictus sheathed his own blade, realizing that this was no place for him to fight the Fang Dragon.

He wiped sweat from his brow, as he reached for his shirt with his free hand before sliding it on his arms, leaving it unbuttoned. The tattooes on his chest, still clearly visible. Over his coat he tossed on his coat, hiding his sword from view within its depths. "Sing again to the sun tomorrow, our flames will spread across our lands, and all will know who reign." Invictus said in what to the humans would have been ancient draconian, even though for Invictus it seemed as if he had just learned it. One of the few things his father had tought him to say if ever meeting a dragon.

Like a train wreck, Sujin landed all three attacks. Sujin must have in fact thrown Invictus off, knocking his concentration out the window. That tactic almost always worked when fighting someone that depended on its opponent’s movements to strike at all. Sujin landed behind Invictus shouldering Infurnus once more. As he did such he looked down as the sliding vampire made his way near his feet. Soon however he arose to his feet, defeated he looked. It baffled Sujin… his fire was still burning inside him how could he be done now? Then Sujin remembered… this one was a vampire… and the sun was out.

Shrugging Sujin continued to hold his ground. As he spoke of his Father… then he recalled the name. Levethian, if anyone would know about this dragon Sujin knew who to go see. Unlowan Darastrix would know of this Levethian, if he was of dragon kin. Sujin knew he would meet this one again… so he made sure to remember to ask the dragon god once he retuned home of this persons father. With a half sigh and a Shrug Sujin respectfully nodded to the man leaving his presence. “Yea… and you better not bring me back to this damned place!” Sujin growled playfully.

Turning Sujin caught wind of the tongue of dragon kin. Draconian, with such, Invictus disappeared from view. Smiling Sujin turned to the ground picking up his word and chain from the black dirt. Reattaching the blade to his hip Sujin hefted Infurnus off his shoulder and began swinging it around, mimicking a dual between two people… Sujin would stay here for a time, to train his body some more… for he still felt tiered and weakened while swinging Infurnus about in a form that had extremely limited access to his normal strength. Like he said only a few hours ago… he intended to surpass perfect, and he couldn’t do that until every single weak link in his mind body and spirit was found and tempered to match the strength of the rest of the chain. For anyone knows… a chain is only as strong as its weakest link… and Sujin refused to be weak.
