Invictus couldn’t help but feel, over anxious about seeking out another that was almost similar to him. A Vampire, but a Dragon, it reminded him to much of his father all those years ago. Invictus had not thought of his father, the Anthro Dragon that gave him much of his strength. It had been his mother, an Anthro Cerberus that had givin him his speed as a human. Together with the will of the Gods on his side, he had blazed a trail of destruction across Avalon. But he fell out of favors with the Gods, and he was finally defeated by an unknown being. His entire army crushed in what seemed like a single heartbeat. As he had died, he had called out to the gods for help, but they cursed him. The Gods of Avalon layed their hands down upon the dieing man, and cursed him with the Unlife of a Vampire. How badly Invictus hated them for that. In his rage he began stalking the nights. He killed thousands before he came across his first bride, Mara. She had been a peasants daughter, to be given away at her wedding the next day. But his own unhappiness lead to his turning her into one who feeds on blood. His first Childe, his first Bride. After Mara he grew tired of the endless killing, wanting to return to the flesh and blood of mortality. He began searching for a cure, capturing and torturing the vampires of other order’s to tell him their secrets. It was during this desire, this longing to become mortal that he took his second bride, another girl, this one of a more noble stature, who had meandered into one of Invictus’ feedings. Caleel, was her name, and she was just as beautiful as Mara was. Toward the end he began to see vampirism as a very different thing. It was not a way of life, but a hurdle one must jump to ascend beyond mere Vampirism. One who managed to cover the hurdle would have evolved into something far different than either Mortal or Immortal. Something that could stick its middle fingers up at the sun and scream aloud such obcenities as to make a priest die of shame. For over nine thousand years, his three brides ran the Coils of the Dragon, which were taught to the members of the Ordo Dracul. The Tier of Blood, of Beast, of Fire, were the the ones most predominantly taught. But the Ordo was to be kept a secret, orders from Invictus himself. But after being attacked in the open by the Children of Lilith, Invictus wasn’t taking any chances, if it could stop what he assumed was about to happen, he would open the Ordo to the world and let them join him. He brushed a stray stand of black hair out from in front of his golden eyes. Fifteen thousand years and he still looked like a nineteen year old. Even his brides looked older than he did. He was wearing a black coat that reached down to his knees, which was pulled over a white button up shirt. His black pants fell straight at his sides, and fell over the top of his black boots. Two fangs extended over his lower lip, but they were hardly noticeable to the passing person. He drummed his fingers lightly on the rock beside him, hoping the one known as Sujin, had gotten his letter from the wolves he had sent to him. |

Sujin didn’t like the fact that this person, who ever he was had set up a meeting in the one place Sujin hates to travel. The Dead Magic zone, a place where beings such as himself are weakened, not because he cannot use spells or anything of the sort hell Sujin had no spells his magical prowess was as weak as only an apprentice mage. However, Sujin’s racial origin… his entire self was that of magic, so entering a zone such as this only allowed Sujin to draw life from his human side. Distasteful to be so weak it was strength of mind body and soul where the only things Sujin cared about… and to be in this predicament gone against every principle that was he. This one however, this one had gone through great lengths to meet Sujin. For what reason he had no idea, Sujin did not know this person and he highly doubted he knew him. Perhaps knew of the immortal but didn’t know Sujin as a person. With a heavy sigh, Sujin stood on the very outskirts of the zone where the green grass meets its end turning to black dust just before him. Already he can feel the zone zapping his ever present strength. This would be a long day…. A very long one indeed. However, in the back of his mind… Sujin had found a new place to train… this very zone would probably help the fang dragon on his quest to surpass perfect. Yes… Sujin has found weakness in himself so it was only right that he find a way to purge it… to turn it to ash. Finally, Sujin took a step inside the zone and instantly felt himself weakened. On his back Infurnus fell instantly, Sjach’Sone and its chains felt slightly heavier than normal. Groaning Sujin hefted the massive blade up over his shoulder, perfect way to start training. A walk from his current spot over to this Invictus, with his rather heavy sword on his back this should help him get use to the weight outside of having his draconic strength to lift the damned sword. Standing upright the sash about Sujin’s leg flapped only slightly due to him walking and the sword hidden by it knocking about. Black was his color of choice, a finely quilted shirt that had no sleeves for his upper body baggy cloth pants for his lower body, his left leg covered with the sash stated beforehand. His left arm is also covered in the same material in the same baggy fashion that his pants are. Both hands however have a glove that extends up to his elbow. Finally his eyes was on the person that brought him here, this person… who ever he was… he would have to give Sujin a damn good reason to be out here like this! |

Invictus watched the Fang Dragon come towards him. Much like himself it seemed, the more animalistic parts of him had faded in this place. Dragon and Cerberus both seemed to have fled from the Vampire’s veins, but he was not one to wear so much heavy clothing. Instead he wore a black leather coat, reaching down to his knees, a white collared shirt beneath this. The shirt was tucked into a pair of black pants, that fell loosely over his black boots. Strapped across his back however, was a weapon that weighed him down, greatly. Having never felt the full weight of the sword before, it did seem like a big much now that Invictus had to carry it without any additional strength than his Vampiric half. Not even the Transcendence had prepared him for this place. But with a shake of his head, Invictus ran a hand through his hair. Extending a hand toward Sujin, when he grew close enough. “And you must be the Fang Dragon Sujin, I have heard so much about. My name is Valdimius Invcitus Plasmisius Dracula. But please, call me Invictus.” The leader of the Ordo Dracul fell back slightly from the Fang Dragon, and bowed slightly. “It is an honor, and a pleasure to finally meet you.” He was almost afraid he could not rise again from bowing. It seemed any thing he did in this place needed extra effort. Invictus thanked the gods he had not decided start the Ordo Dracul way out in this horrible place. But this would be another Coil to add to the Dragon, and Invictus would learn that one as well. "As two vampires, both in charge of something we hold deal, I though possibly we could work together toward our causes." Invictus hoped this Sujin, would agree to this. In all honestly Invictus did not want to handle what was coming alone. He had already seen, and felt, what the mere scouts of the Dark Mother, could do. And it would be unfair of him not warn other's. |

A hand was extended to Sujin, everything the immortal was was tempted to leave the hand hanging in the air. This one had brought him way out here for no real reason it seemed, if he wanted to meet Sujin why not in a tavern or something? Why in the world would one willingly go to such a place as this, minus the fact that Sujin wished to train here to purge the weakness of his human side in his near perfect body. Infurnus was heaved around and the tip planted into the ground, as such the blade stood easily taller than Sujin. Using the sword as a wall the young immortal leaned against the blade, and respectfully took the hand before him, this one has not proven that he should get the warriors embrace like most others Sujin meets. This one called himself Invictus, his hand released and he fell back to the rock he was siting upon before Sujin walked up to him. He opened his mouth again and spoke, said it was an honor to meet Sujin. That threw the fang dragon for a moment, he had no real reason to be honored to meet him. Sujin did not fight him, and he did not seem to wish to fight now. Shrugging Sujin continued to lend an ear to this Invictus, then he spoke once more... calling Sujin a vampire. That honestly caused the hybrid to take a step back pulling the blade from the dirt. Honored to meet someone and yet he knew nothing of Sujin, not a damn thing. Another question filled his mind, what was Sujin in charge of? Did he speak of the tribe? Bad move this one made... there is no way he could have known he was the head of his tribe, spies in the mountains would have been dealt with quickly.... this one seemed to think he knew too much for no reason at all. “First... I am no vampire.. I am a Fang Dragon. Second, it would be wise for you not to assume so much about me, I have no cause to fight for... I have people to fight for. I keep my people safe, thats that.” Sujin was obviously annoyed, yet respectfully he would attempt to listen to this ones full explanation to why he was summoned. “Speak your peace.. I'll hear you out.” |

The ancient vampire looked at the Fang Dragon with eyebrow raised. He had never expected his words to be taken so rudely. "Yes yes, of course, a Fang Dragon. How great an insult it must be to be reminded of times past." Invictus looked at Sujin still, his white hair blowing around his head, as the tattoo of the cross under his eye gleamed slightly. His gold eyes with their red spark did not blink at the movements of the other. His hand did move to his own sword though. He pulled it from behind his coat, and slammed the tip into the ground. Its black steel matching his own coat. "I brought you out here for a reason. Well, several reasons. You might not like to admit it, but our blood does flow through your veins. And I do not know, but it is possible our father's could have belonged to the same clan. I have the blood of Dragons in my veins." The vampire moved from the sword and the rock and took off his coat, throwing it over his sword, and rolling up his sleeves. "I came to ask for you assistance in a possible problem we might be experiencing soon. You see, I dont know how much you know about Our History, but there is a Vampire older than any Sire. From her spawned Vampirism, Lycanthropy, Incubi and Succubi. But a group of younger vampires attacked her and her eldest Children, slaying them, and began claiming themselves as the Firsts." Invictus wiped his forhead, and continued to look at Sujin. "I was attacked earlier by her children, returned from the Underworld to wipe out our kind. And most likely she will go to the Goddess of Vengeance for assistance in Our destruction. Whether help me, or shun me. I am merely here to warn you, from what I hear of your fighting prowess, you seemed like a shining example of what Our people can become. And I refuse to see us wiped out because some ancient hag holds a grudge." |

Sujin sighed and snickered a little, rude Sujin was but he spoke the truth. Times past is nothing to remember... you never look back because once you do you blind yourself to the future. Sujin knew this lesson well, and never looked back... there was however a time that he would have looked back saw where he came from and drew strength from it. That time however has passed... Sujin was no longer the broken man he once was, he was no longer split in half... This person that stood before Sujin now did not understand Sujin enough to ask for such Aid. In truth Sujin wasn't the type to help anyone, the fang dragon was a strong believer in the will of fire, in one personal strength and in the strength of a collective people. “The blood that runs through my veins is my own. I share my blood with no race in particular, I am the only one of my kind... however I admit that there was a time that I was proud of my vampirisim. That time however has long since past. If you come to ask for aid, then ask me as a person don't attempt to appeal to something that is no longer there.” Sujin spoke with a relative calmness, the blade that rested at his side in his hand was again heaved up into the air resting on his shoulder. His annoyance had weakened in the past moment, but it was still however there. This woman he spoke of... this mother, she seemed to be the type that would burn everything to ash for a wrong that was done to her so long ago. In truth Sujin slightly leaned on her side.... its possible that her honor was damaged and her flame desired there life. With a shrug Sujin answered him once more. “This... person this Mother... she and I have no power, So this does not concern me. Know that I will not fight against you nor for you. I want nothing to do with this problem. If you people are too weak to allow your flame to burn strong enough to consume this mother... then you do in fact deserve to disappear.” |

The transcended erupted in laughter at the last comment of the Fang Dragon infront of him. "The Dark Mother is not powerful to stand against the Ordo Dracul. You must understand though, that power is not everything. I will fight for what is mine, not for all that is Avalon. Mine is Mine, Hers is Hers, and Yours is Yours. But, Me and you might have moved beyond vampirism. But there are others, weaker than ourselves. Those who would look to us to save them from a problem they did not start. You would condemn thousands of innocents to their demise, merely for the sake of proving that you are above them?" "Let me ask you something else, Sujin The Fang Dragon. What happens to those who have gained the power they seek? Do they not want more? If a person created to destroy kills one, do they not seek to destroy all? Isn't there someone you wish to protect? There is always that one person that catches our hearts, and holds it for all of time." Invictus had turned to the side, his eyes watching Sujin from the side, as he aimlessly kicked the black dust with his foot. "She wont stop Sujin. She and hers wont stop until everything is burned to ash. We understand this, but I refuse to accept being burned for the actions that I did not contribute to. If you're willing to roll over for the Dark Mother, that is yours and yours alone. Meanwhile, I will do what I can to stop her, and Protect what you would not give a damn about." Deciding to change tactics the Transcended looked back, shoulder's squared as he looked at the Fang Dragon. "I ask you, from one Dragon to Another, aid us before it is to late. Even I am not so strong as to be able to defeat the Dark Mother and a Goddess. We must work together for the Good of all things, or else we will be nothing but dust blowing in the wind of change." |

“You don't get it do you? I care not for you are anyone else for that matter. Everything outside my world does not matter to me. This dark mother has an vendetta against the vampiric kind, oh well... if a vampire is too weak to defend against this mother then it deserves to die. Let its fire be snuffed out by the darkness. I am above no one, I care not for titles and rank... its the strength of a person that carries them through everything... anyone has the ability to reach perfection... its all a matter of if they wish it.” Sujin was again getting annoyed, This Invictus was really pissing the young immortal off. Then, he dropped the p bomb, asking if there was anyone Sujin wished to protect. “No you really don't understand. I don't give a damn what happens to vampires, humans, anyone outside of my tribe I could care less for. If they cannot survive then they don't need to. If they have no strength to fight then so be it. This Dark mother can ravage the land of Avalon, ravage your race.. destroy the world as we know it! I will not care, for my tribe will continue to stand strong. This dark mother will not have the strength to stand against me... even with the help of the Goddess Kioku.” Strength Sujin had, and so did his people... every ounce of himself would be given up to protect his people. Goddess or not, Old Vampire or not.. none of them will stand in the wake of a fire meant to consume everything in its path. Sujin was that flame.... and if the Dark Mother challenged his power he would destroy her and every single one of her children. “If you don't have the power to stand against them both... then get stronger. Don't ask for help... get it your damn self! Hmpth... weakness... the good of all? To hell with all! I'll watch them burn before I lift a finger to help 'all' so... pick yourself up and head back to your allies and grow in strength... don't expect aid from me. Pretend I don't exist and we wont have any problems.” Sujin groaned and turned on his heal, his body already getting use to the weight. Sujin had no need to lend his ears to this nonsense anymore... challenging his very self Invictus was... Sujin had half the mind to destroy him right then and there, but he respected the fact that he wanted to protect his people... that single strand was the only thing that saved his un-life. |

A smirk crossed the face of the transcended, as he bent down, scooping the black dust up in his hands. "Perfect? You are far from perfect are you not Sujin?" He blew the dust around in the air, before dusting it off his hands. "In this place, in this black dust, you are barely more than human." But ofcourse the Fang Dragon had been right. And at that little outburst he sounded so much like Invictus' father. He refused to let the Dragon walk away now. "You remind me of my father, Sujin. An Anthro Dragon, who died fighting something more powerful than he was. I learned from that mistake, as possibly your children might one day learn from you. There is always something stronger than you." Grabbing his coat from his sword he threw it on quickly. Taking a small pouch from one of the pockets he bent over, scooping the dust inside its container. "You make me think of the old saying. It is not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. But we know better Sujin. You can fight till your at the point of breaking, and continue to fight further. But if you just don't have what it takes to win, than your going to end up flat on your back with a sword rammed through your heart." He put the pouch in his pocket, and looked at the Black Dust still on his hand. "But perfection is something all beings strive for. Even the Gods strive for it. But we with immortality on our side, will be the ones who will one day obtain it. Or it could be just the opposite. It could be our Immortality keeps us from reaching it. But whichever it is. We will keep on searching, and we will hunt for it forever. I will tell you something my father told me, since your about to leave, like he did the last time I saw him. 'Do not expect the Keys of Life to be handed to you because you are the best. You will recieve what keys you are best given, by those who know best.' Sujin, if you wish to leave that is your right. But if you choose to stay, I would like to ask you what you might know... about Lazarian Tepes. My Father." As he finished his comment he put his hand to his mouth, breathing in the dust, before licking his hand clean. |

“Ah but perfect I am… the perfect fighter in any situation I am guaranteed to come out on top. Why is this you ask? Because my fire, my inner flame burns brighter than anything… and to be perfect… to be the best you must learn that its not always about winning… you learn from losing as well. So… if you wish to test this ‘barley more than human’ theory of yours… test me now and I’ll cut you down where you stand.” Sujin turned completely around Infurnus whipping about at the same time, even though he hadn’t much strength compared to normal, his right arm visibly flexing as he began to bring the blade around in attack position. This one continued to test Sujin, and continued to feed his fire, weakened or not if Invictus continued to go down this road he was… Sujin would cleave the damned vampire in two. Infurnus was ready to fight; he was not dead, just sleeping. Sujin could feel his brother within the blade despite the fact that this place drained all magic from anything. Invictus just kept pushing and Sujin had a thought. Why not fight the man here and now? Sujin was a warrior first after all… and knew that his words would never get his point across like his sword will. Yes… if this Invictus really wished to do as he said… then he would understand what Sujin was about with a fight… “Draw your weapon, and fight me now. If you wish to prove yourself fight me.” Infurnus was brought around to his left side blade held backwards, while the handle was gripped in both hands. This was his time, he would prove to Invictus who he was and what he was about, If possible Invictus would be able to prove the same. |

With a heavy sigh Invictus dropped his coat from his shoulder's, and removed his shirt. He tossed the two onto the rock he had been leaning on, and grasped the sword that was still stuck into the ground. How long had it been since last he had used his sword for fight. Eight, Nine thousand years? He twirled his sword in his hands, even with his weakened strength he still had over fifteen thousand years experience with his weapon. Well, seven thousand mostly, the last eight spent sleeping deep beneath his old castle as his brides had built a city nearby. "So you wish a fight Sujin? Very well, than we shall dance, here in this land that never lives." The Transcended lunged forward, moving with the speed of the Vampire he had fought so hard to shake from himself. This land had brought him down from transcended, but he was still more than human. The bladed edge of his sword had been sharpened into hook-like spikes some ages after he had died. But even when they had just been small edges it had felt like it was sawing at his rib cage when he had been forced to pull it from his body after he had awakened in his coffin. His death was something he didn't care to remember, but it crept back into his mind now, driving him forward. His father, and himself, had been slain by the same being, a person that Invictus could not bring himself even now to hunt again. The fire burned in his eyes as he remembered the day his mother, in her cerberus form had run his own sword through his chest. Indeed, even facing the Fang Dragon before him all he could think of was the pain that wound had caused, more than any he had felt before or since. Not only the physical pain, but the emotional as well. "Mother...." He said in a voice barely audible. The pain and raged that fueled him seemed to give him an escape from the area they were in. Indeed it could possibly be the remants of his human life that caused his adrenaline to soar. He came down upon Sujin with all the force he could muster, his arms bulging as his ancient dead heart beat once more... |

Invictus had decided to honor Sujin’s request. His coat and such dropped as the jagged blade was pulled from the dirt. This would be the perfect time to see exactly what Sujin’s weakened state could do and what the immortal could do to improve it. The vampire lunged, a sneak attack. Sujin, although human he was still a barbarian, and any warrior knew it was near impossible to catch one off guard. With a mighty step the young immortal stepped forward brining Infurnus up in a defensive pose simply parrying the blow. As a barbarian, Sujin still had super human strength, it was still however not even a fraction to his original strength, but it was enough to keep Invictus at bay. But for the first time, Sujin noticed that his arms where actually hurting from swinging the blade around. A heavy sigh was heard as Sujin quickly brought Infurnus down again while stepping forward once more into Invictus. This was unheard of and unorthodox for someone with a larger sword to step in to attack. But that was of course Sujin’s entire fighting style. To be random and fight off instinct, but still a warrior… Sujin could feel some of Invictus’ emotions though the first strike… he was lost and in pain… confused. More though… Sujin needed more to understand this one. Sujin ducked and brought his shoulder into Invictus’ chest while at the same time bringing Infurnus around to cleave him in two. Skill Sujin had very little, but Sujin was still a great fighter, able to battle off pure instinct and get by. But these fight… Sujin was fighting to understand someone, and understood that it would take more than just his instinct to battle him… he needed emotion as well. |

Invictus had just barely been able to block the barbarians first sword swing. But the fight was not the only thing on his mind. Images of his father and mother rushed through the Vampire's head as he raised a knee in reply to Sujin's ducking. His sword swung downward hooking the massive sword within its hook like teeth, meaning to hold for the moment. Memories flooded him, his parent's talking about him, about them. His mother's funeral when he was ten. The reign of his father before his death by his own dead wife. Invictus felt the agony tear at him as he fought back against the Fang Dragon, he unhooked blades and swung down up on the dragon before twisting the blade above the ground and rising with it once again. The image of his mother flashed into his eyes, and he was blind to the area around him for an instant, causing him to back away from the Dragon before him. But he returned with renewed vitae as the blood inside him churned and boiled, pumping through a heart that had not beat in over fifteen thousand years. Rage filled him, consumed him, and the fire inside him burned and grew with each passing moment of anger that fed it. Hatred and rage filled him as his sword moved through a dance of time. Barbaric swam into fencing, fencing arched into the skills of the east, the east became the west, and the west became barbaric once again. This was not a struggle to prove himself to some Fang Dragon, this was more than that, a chance to prove to himself he was better than his past. |

Sujin continued to feed off of this ones aura, absorbing everything he possibly could. Invictus was a troubled one, a very troubled one but such was normal. Sujin despite having a very good childhood he too was always troubled. It may not have been to the degree that Invictus has suffered, oh no… that would come later much later. For now, Sujin intended to listen with his heart… feel the very rage that leaked from this ones form, the sadness… the fear all of it felt so close to home so near his own sorrows… his own betrayals his own trials. “COME! SHOW ME WHO YOU ARE!” Sujin roared, pulling Infurnus down along with the blade that was not attached to it as his shoulder was knocked back by a knee. Instinctively Sujin held Infurnus with one hand keeping the toothed blade at bay. With his free hand came forth the chains that bound Sjach’Sone. Although these chains had no power Sujin quickly whipped them around to wrap around his arm while grabbing the second blade simultaneously. The hooked blade was unlatched and blasted back down towards Sujin. Defensively Sujin raised the dormant dark sword in his off hand parrying the sword. Sujin took a step back to get a little space and just as he stepped back the tooth sword grimly smiled at Sujin before coming back up from the ground around Sjach’Sone to tear into his flesh once more. With a heavy strain and an impressive display of barbaric strength, Sujin whipped Infurnus around knocking the sword away. As he did such Sujin allowed his entire body to spin, using the momentum Sujin allowed Infurnus to come up and rest upon Sujin’s shoulder, Sjach’Sone with its tip in the dirt the chains that bound it void of any magic energy only dangled around his forearm. Invictus suddenly backed away from Sujin for a moment. It mattered not, for Sujin continued to learn more and more about this one. “In a way he and I are the same… born of the same steel yet forged of a different flame.” Sujin said to himself then spoke aloud. “Yes… I’m beginning to understand… you past… your past has troubled you for a long time.” Sujin started, his body still in a position to strike if need be. “But you must not look into the past! You say you wish to push your people beyond perfect well you can’t do that with your eyes behind you! You look to the past to see the future, but you must look ahead! Face your fear, use your hatred your anger! Become more than what you are. Tis not the race that defines the person! You… what you do your actions and how you decide to live your life decides who you are!” Sujin spoke, his voice dripping with the wisdom of ages… intelligent Sujin may not have been, but he was damn sure wise. |

Indeed Sujin was correct; this was pointless looking into the past for strength. As important as his mother was to him, she had stopped being his mother the day he had attended her funeral. His eyes turned on Sujin, this time not burning with the wrongs of the past, but driven with the need to becoming stronger for the future. Here in this place the two were becoming stronger, even if they did not notice it. He had viewed the world as ever changing since he had become a Vampire. He had changed, the world had changed, how could he not let himself see that even his mother was possible of the same fate. The world was chaos, no matter how ordered it appeared, Chaos reigned supreme. Change was, is, will be the way of all things. Even Lilith would have to see the way the world had changed, and new Vampire’s had emerged, stronger than the ones who had sired them. “The future once terrified me, Sujin, as did the past. But all things change, even us immortals are not doomed to the fate of Stagnation if we do not let ourselves. The past can not change, but the future is ever changing, with each decision we make, with each choice presented to us, we change the future.” The Transcended felt his heart stop in his chest, and for but a brief minute he missed the feeling of blood running through his veins. He had taught his Brides to never view the past, to keep focused on the future, and here he was, a hypocrite, preaching what he himself would not practice. Even should his mother still live in this world, she was not who she once was. The pain in his dead heart began to subside as he flicked the white hair from his face, holding his sword in front of him and pointing it at Sujin again. “Let say we finish this, Mate. As Kindred, we owe it to ourselves to never stop what we start.” He turned the sword back in his hands, this time keeping his mind to himself he approached Sujin slowly, moving slowly until he was within sword strike with the Fang Dragon, and began moving around him, foot crossing foot, hoping the Fang Dragon would continue to the fight. Invictus had never had so much fun, and it seemed to him only right to finish something he himself had started. “Just so you know, Sujin, It is nothing personal.” |
