Gauldoth catiously made his way into one of the many entrances that led into one of the many caves that held the sea dragons and their young. He carried with him two buckets, each filled with fresh fish. Gauldoth had little experience with sea dragons. He was used to the large sky dragons. With their briliant colors and their massive wings. The kins of dragons who shot fire from their mouths and burnt any being to a crisp, those are the dragons he had come to love and respect. He had only seen a few sea dragons in his lifetime, and although he was impressed with them he never really got interested in them, untill now. As long as his calculations were correct there would only be one or two adult sea dragons per cave, thats just how big the cave was. But when he actually saw the sea dragons he had to stop and admire their beauty for a moment. There were two of them, and they seemed to be a size and a half larger then the sky dragons. There were also some little dragons, the offspring of the larger. They all seemed to be sleeping, so Gauldoth made his way towards the closer one, an aqua who seemed to be a female. The other was white and he couldn't tell which gender it was from this distance. |

Hidden among the nest of young dragonlings, Maleficius rested contentedly as the he and the sea dragons slept off the feast they had consumed a few hours before. It had been a wondrous buffet of sealife, with immense fish, giant squids, sharks, even a young whale, all eaten raw using only your teeth for utensils. The family had gathered around and regaled Mal with tales of the deep oceans and fearsome battles in the deep powerful roars that were the ancestral draconic language. The children had asked him to join there games and races, and with childish subtlety let him win each one. Mal knew that they would do this all again, too. Not out of fear, or duty, but because they loved him. They worshipped him. Because he was their god. The stench of advanced decay drew Mal out of his slumber. It was distinctly out of place, and it worried him. He carefully extricatet himself from the pile of sleeping dragons to search for the source of the stench. Almost immediately he spotted the figure of a man near the entrance of the cave. At first, Mal could not understand how the stench was coming from the man, but as he moved mal got a better view. Rather angry at the unwanted trespasser, Mal moved to stand in the man's path. He growled, a warning for the man to stop, then in an irate snarl he said: "What buisness do you have here, corpse?" |

Gauldot stopped for a moment before he had relized what had happened. Did the dragon talk? but this was no dragon, it was, odd. It had scales and wings, and a long spikey tail. It has a red orb for an eye, yet it stood on it's hind legs, roughly nine feet. What was this being? He wasn't entirly sure he wanted to know. He kept his hood over his face and simple said "giving the dragons a small snack" before moving around the creature and moving towards the nest. Under normal circumstances he would have attacked the being, but he didn't want to be on bad terms with the dragons. He set down a bucket of the fish in one of the nests, and set the second bucket within the second nest. Usually one wouldn't smell the rotting flesh, it was something that went with the spell he had cast all those years ago. But when the flesh got wet it could be smelt faintly, but in the cave it seemed it could be smelt from everywhere. He would dry off before long, but for now he decided to sit on a rock and await the wakening of the younglings. |

Maleficius was watched the man walk past him, place the buckets, and sit himself down upon the rock with a growing sense of affrontment and irritation with the unwelcome intruder. Apparently, the man had barely noticed him, much less acknowledged his question, and that sort of careless ignorance was gravely insulting to Mal who was used to people at least showing some semblance of respect. Growling, Mal strode over to where the man sat and clenched his hand around the man's throat, lifting him into the air. Mal pulled the man close to him so their faces barely a few inches apart, His hot, smoky breath blasting into the mans face with each exhale. Angrily, Mal snarled at the man: "Perhaps you didn't hear me the first time, so now I'll make myself perfectly clear. You are not welcome here. It would be in your best interests to leave, NOW." From behind Mal, a low rumble emanated from the white dragon, their equivalent to a yawn. The dragons were finally waking up. Turning his head to look at the dragons, he spoke to them in the draconic language. He asked them if they knew the man he held in his hand, and as expected they replied they had never seen such a reson before. Nodding to himself, Mal instructed the dragons to keep away from the buckets of fish, and told them that he would deal with the intruder. He turned to face the man again, and smiled darkly. " You mande a mistake in coming here today, POACHER. I will make sure you live to regret it.... For a while." |

(you do know that is powerplaying, don't you?) Gauldoth laughed as the man, beast, picked him up. "you don't know who you are dealing with, do you?" he said with a laugh as he reached out with his left hand and pushed himself away from the beast. He loved the left side of his body, at times. Although it was undead and rather revolting, it was three or four times stronger then his right, and his right was rather strong as it was. "i was simply feeding the dragons fish, whats wrong with that? Dragons are amung the worlds most intelligant creatures, i thought it would be best to be on friendly terms with them. Then, if a war was to start, i wouldn't get eaten alive by them. Plus, i wish to learn more about them. By giving them food it proves that i do not mean them harm and come in peace, i thought you'd be able to figure that out, you seem to be, well, at least part dragon yourself" Gauldoth said as he sat on the rock. This being really didn't pose much of a threat. What was it going to do, burn him to death? He had escaped a fire before, and would escapem one again. If the being wished for hand-to-hand combat Gauldoth was ready, he had an advantage with the strength of his left arm. |

((OOC: Well, technically I dont think it is, because I never actually posted that you did anything. However, I can see your point and cheerfully apologise.)) Maleficius raised an eyebrow as the man pushed himself out of his grasp, and began to justify his actions. Mal had half expected this to happen, for in his experience those people who are firm in the belief that they are in the right are far less likely to argue and rationalise than those who are not. Despite this, Mal felt that it would be unsporting to attack him without at least rebuffing his excuses first. " Very well then, an intellectual debate. You sir, state that there is absolutely nothing wrong with feeding dragons fish, correct? And of course you provided numerous reasons to justify your case, and even resorted to base flattery to try and get your point across. However, what you have not taken into account the other side of the matter, that which I propse to be the correct one. Let me tell you how I see this situation: you are an unknown human who has snuck into a dragon's lair while they were asleep, which evidently points out that you have no prior relationship with these creatures, or alternatively a bad one. Also, it is evident that you have some skill in the necromantic arts, as evidenced by the left side of your torso. Finally, there is the somewhat abstract but entirely valid point that, among the human community, particularly the magical elements thereof, the dragon's body is a valuable commodity. Scales, teeth, blood... all of it has great market value in human cities. From these pieces of information I am able to deduct that the most plausible reason for the fish is that it is poisoned or cursed, and that you are either looking to sell the resulting "harvest" or to use it for your own magical means. This of course is an offence that I consider to be extremely heinous. Normally, the means of proof of this theorem would be simple: I would merely need to force feed one of the offending items to your own self and observe the effects. However, considering your current...physical state I'm afraid that this method isn't an option. So unless you can think of another way to defend your actions, I belive I will be forced to consider you as an enemy and act accordingly..." Maleficius drew his broadsword and rested it's point against the floor."...which returns us to uor prior situation. I suggest you think quickly...or run even quicker." |
