The Last Flame
|
Fire. Water. The two main elements that were part of the boy's life. A father of flames and a mother of the sea, Sinurith was stuck in between. His sister, Lharnia, had already chosen her path, to follow in their mother's footsteps and become a famous female pirate. Sinu was different. He did not know yet what he wanted to be, secretly he wanted to become the Guardian of Fire, inherit the title and powers from his father, but on the other hand, he loved the sea. They were opposites, fire and water. Like sugar and salt, love and hatred, sorrow and happiness, but in those cases one was 'good' and the other was 'bad'. Neither fire nor water was 'bad', one who held powers of either element could be corrupted but that did not make that element 'bad'. Sinu thought that a child as young as him shouldn't be worrying about such things. Now at the moment, Sinurith was walking rather hesitantly towards the Temple of Dragons. He was planning to visit the God of Dragons, just...because he felt like talking to someone about his 'problem'. Sinurith was a short boy for his age, short and thin, he had a disease that nobody knew how to cure. He easily got tired and was extremely weak, vulnerable to diseases and sicknesses. He was the spitting image of his father, dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, even the same slightly crooked smile, and the flicker of his eyes. Just like flickering candle flames. He stumbled along, pondering on what to tell the God of Dragons, about his unexpected and unannounced visit. The boy advanced, travelling slowly and unhurriedly, he was slightly in awe of this God of Dragons, and was frankly said, afraid of him…and his power. He had heard relatively little from his father about the God, even after having pestered him. But Sinurith also had another reason why he was in awe of the God, he himself owned a dragon.* A small, metallic one, who he had named Hopea Lohikäärme**, and had received from his mother's ex-friend, Sayle. The story of how he had got the dragon was one he did not like to talk about, for personal reasons. Dragon (instead of repeating such a long name, Sinu's dragon's nickname was Dragon), sat on his shoulder, humming gently. The metallic dragon was incapable of speech, but was a very intelligent one. Very soon Sinurith was facing the gates of the Temple. He had not, fortunately or unfortunately, met any big dragons, and had arrived upon the God's doorstep unharmed. Sinu’s steps faltered, as he looked at the corridor stretching before him. Neither Sinu's mother nor father knew he was here, and Sinu preferred that it was like that, even Lharnia, his twin sister, did not know. He was hoping that the God of Dragons would be outside, since he wasn’t that keen on entering. With a last look over his shoulder, Sinurith walked through the gates that looked like a dragon's mouth, and into the mouth of the dragon. He had now entered the domain of the God of Dragons, and was at his mercy. <ooc> *: I have not bought this dragon, (well I could buy it but it's only been in one other RP, and this will be it's last RP). Also I have not bought the dragon because it really is Sayle's (he gave it to Sinu IC). So yeah... **: Hopea Lohikäärme: Silver Dragon in Finnish. |
