How she managed to make her way here is anyone's guess. A somewhat young girl, travelling alone, with a rather large sword strapped across her back. It's a wonder she can even carry the thing, much less use it as any means of defence. She climbed up the slope, slowly, though eventually made her way up. Taking a second or two to catch her breath she gazed down into the crater. Arcaine was somewhat taken aback by the sight before her. A temple? Here? And she could have sworn she just saw some manner of dragon within the ash. Of course that may have just been a result of her somewhat overactive imagination getting away with her but ... no. Arcaine didn't really think that was the case.

She shook her head, like she was trying to clear it. Running a hand along the hilt of the sword behind her, as if to comfort herself? Hm. Maybe. After a few moments she started making her way down the cliff. Slowly walking, taking great care not to slip in the ash, Arcaine caught sight of something out the corner of her eye. She quickly turned her head in that direction and in doing so nearly missed her footing. Arcaine took a deep breath, as she looked around. She stopped breathing though, at seeing a dragon. She'd never seen one before. Arcaine had seen picture of them but never one for real. In a word, Arcaine was amazed. This was an even more awesome creature than that phoenix she'd seen a few short days ago.

Ok. So here she was. Staring at a dragon and .... maybe it isn't such a good idea. Since she knows nothing of dragons how is she to know whether or not the great beast will try to ... eat her or something. Or what if this was the creatures terratory? What Arcaine did know of animals was that they didn't like people in their territory. The dragon might even attack her. But would it really? So far it hadn't....

Seth stood in the mouth of his Temple, watching as Chiarore skirted around the young woman that precariously descended the slope of the ash covered crater. Ever since Seth had become a God Chiarore had become different, shw now fet it was her job to defend the Temple from all strangers.
Now she was staring down the girl who had the unfortunate pleasure of running into the Dragon God's very own Dragon.
Seeing that Chiarore had finished sizing her up and was growing so she would be able to swallow her in a single mouthful Seth stepped out from the shadows of the Dragons jaws and began walking up the side of the crater. Chiarore had lazily oppened her jaws and was about to lunge the girl and devour her.

"Chiarore, down. She cannot harm me." He said, stopping Chiarore in her tracks.

She looked at him dissapointed that she had been stopped. She turned and stalked away, probably going in search of a meal befitting a Dragon.

Seth looked at the girl and wondered why Chiarore had acted as she did, she seemed no older than he, she looked alot younger in fact. She was unarmoured but carried a rusted blade upon her back.
"What brings you here mistress of the rustly blade?"

Arcaine was beginning to think that she would have rather not seen a dragon up close and personal .. now. As it moved closer and seemed about ready to attack or whatever, Arcaine quickly put a hand to her weapon. Though she didn't know how well fire would be against a dragon (probably not too well), Arcaine was never one to just give up without a fight. Stopping just short of drawing the blade, at the sound of a voice. As the creature stalked off, Arcaine twitched her fingers along the hilt of her weapon.

"Chiarore?"

Arcaine mentally shook herself, and took a moment to start actually breathing normally again. Her hand twitched along her weapon once more, and she finally dropped it to her side. Seeming to relect on that question for a moment, she only gave a shrug.

"I ... uh. Don't know."

In a word, she was lost. However Arcaine was not going to openly admit that. She still has her pride. Not even nearly being a meal for a dragon (though a small one no doubt), would make Arcaine admit her own shortcomings.

"Well If you don't know why your here then you probably don't know where you are, or who your talking to. Well I shall enlighten you. Firstly you are in the ash laden crater of Fryan mountain, once dormant volcano. You are standing outside the temple of the Dragon God, Setharoth Rendra. Which then brings me to introducing myself. Setharoth Rendra, God and true Pyromaniac." He said, offering his hand in a gesture of friendship.

All that was true, though Arcaine would not admit to it. She never did find out the name of this place as she travelled through it. Actually, Arcaine wasn't familiar with very much of Avalon even if she has lived here all her (short) life. Because of circumstances beyond her control, Arcaine took to wandering aimlessly about like this. She does have a goal in mind for herself though, however no one knows what it is. She understood little of gods and all that, having never met one nor really heard much about them. Most of that was just because her father never taught Arcaine of such things. But it was the pyromanic part of the introduction that gained Arcaine's attention the most, and caused her to decide to introduce herself as well.

"Arcaine Wolfe. I'm just an aimless wanderer at the moment. It's not as impressive an introdction as your though, but it works."

He smiled at arcaines comments on his introduction and was intrigued by this girl.

"Well simple introductinos are often the best. So you wander aimlessly not knowing where you go. Do tell are you hungry?" He asked, motioning for her to follow him into the jaws of his temple.

Once inside and feasting upon a simple meal of salted meat, cheese and bread Seth finally realised what intrigued him about Arcaine.
"You're of the fire element aren't you?" He said.
Whilst not thinking, a small stream of flames flowed from the fingers on his right hand.
"I am too. How well can you handle your element though?"

Having nothing better to do, Arcaine followed. Waiting a moment, Arcaine answered.

"Sometimes I know where I am going, sometimes I don't. I don't actually have a real destination in mind. But I didn't have anything else to do so I took to wandering. It's not like I had anything tying me down anyways."

A small shrug of indifference was given at the last statement. Arcaine was so interested in looking around the place, that she barely heard the other question. It looked even stranger from the inside than the outside, Arcaine thought. Her attentions were quickly brought back at the question.

"Yeah."

Arcaine crossed her arms in front of her, thinking about the second question for a moment. How well could she handle the element? As long as she had the sword she was pretty good with it. But without the sword ... that was another story entirely.

"It depends."

Seth rose from his seat and smiled at arcaine. In his mind a plan formed.
He reached behind him and called up a fireball. He threw this at Arcaine and waited to see if she could catch it, or even deflect it.

Arcaine quickly drew her sword at this, fire licking across the blade as she brought it in front of her. As the fireball hit the weapon, both flickered a second and then the sword absorbed the fire that had just been thrown. Arcaine took a step back, not quite certain what that was for.

"I think .... I would like to know what that was all about."

Seth smiled again, she was quick enough to whip out her own firesword and absorb the attack.
"That was to see whether you could so much as deflect a fireball. You have some control of your element, but you have so much more potential." He said, turning and dissapearing into what seemed to be the wall, but on closer in spection was a very well hidden door.

He emerged holding light scale mail. He threw this at Arcaine.
"Put it on, it should fit. Don't worry its light, and very manueverable. It's made from dragons scale so it will deflect fire. It makes training less harmful." He said, turning on his heel and heading once again out through the Dragons jaws.
He turned ten paces from the jaws, the first of his twin fire blades drawn.
"Are you up for a little intensive training?"

..."Potential?"

No one had ever told Arcaine that she had potential in much of anything. It was not even a word that her father had used when he trained Arcaine to actually use a sword. Taking a step backwards, Arcaine caught the armor thrown at her. Looking it over for a moment or two, she looked back up at the comment.

"T-training?"

It took Arcaine a few seconds to figure out what was going on here. Giving a sort of mental shrug to herself. Might as well. It had been awhile since Arcaine actually trained in anything. And never had anyone actually taught her to use fire. It was something she learned herself through trial and error.

"Ok."

She took off her jacket, and tossed it over the back of a chair, walking down the hallway (or whatever it was) she managed to get the armor on. Arcaine never actually wore armor before, and had really expected it to be quite uncomfortable to wear. It wasn't though, Arcaine thought it kind of strange but shook the feeling off.

"Training, intensive ... Yeah sure."

Seth stood ready, one blade drawn, his sword pointed directly at Arcaine. He let the energy flow through him as his heartrate quickened. His blood carried the fire that was in his every cell. The wind around them blew quicker, the wind picked up and swept the ash around the crater. It blew the dirty blonde streaks of Seth's hair into his eyes. The flames leapt up through his body and into his voice.
Within his eyes the flames grew, they reflected the fire inside. The air around them now blew faster, whipping Seth's hair around.

Seth closed his eyes and within his mind the ancient words of fire that were burnt inside him. The words flowed from his mind and escaped his barely parted lips. In the ash a circle formed and within the grooves flames moved like liquid to create a ring that would be their arena. Seth oppened his eyes and stepped within the arena.

"Now Arcaine, how do you wield your blade?"

Arcaine raised a hand, sheilding her eyes against the wind and the ash whipping about. This was something she'd never seen before; quite an interesting sight to see. When the wind finally settled down, Arcaine brushed a strand of blue hair away from her face; tucking it behind her ear. She'd raised her sword to matched Seth's.

"I can't explain how I weild my blade. I just do."

She was unphased by the fire surrounding. It was her own element, even though her control over it was not so great. She was still young though, so she would always have plenty of time to learn more.

Within the ring the man that was now worshipped as a God stood facing the young girl that had wandered to his temple. They matched each others pose, both holding their burning blades in front of them. It was almost like they were the same. Almost. On one side you had a revered warrior of flames, and on the other a young student of the flames. They were alike in many ways, and in others so different.

"That is like all of us, we cannot explain how we do what we do, we just do. What I meant was how well can you wield it?" He asked, the corners of his mouth turning upwards into a gentle smile.

Seth stepped forwards and brought his sword down upon Arcaine's. Where they met the fires clashed and sparks flew.

Arcaine, she was not new to swordplay. Ever since she was much younger she'd been taught how to weild a blade. However, her father; her teacher, he never thought Arcaine would actually use the skills he'd taught her. But Arcaine always knew what good it would be. Dispite her age, she knew much of the world; the ways of it. Though she has only been wandering alone for about a year now, she'd learned more than most her age actually did.

She easily blocked the other sword, and couldn't help but smile at the sparks flying. Perhaps, most people would have been phased alot more by fighting a God than Arcaine was. But she was never one to care much about a person's standing, social or otherwise.

"I weild it pretty good."
