It has agreed by the staff that Asche has violated the terms of her final warning after her recent rule infringement and is forthwith banned from Avalon in its entirety. Her previous bans had not expired before she re-entered the cbox.

As Asche has shown she is willing to take measures to circumvent bans, we request that you report any sightings or anyone you suspect may be her so we may enforce this ban to full effect.

We do not take site banning people lightly, but it was agreed unanimously by all staff present that it was the correct action to take. We are also aware that Asche is distorting the truth in her defense ( an example is included below ), please do not repeat these distortions and if you have any questions, please ask. We will add the questions asked to this announcement.

Q: Asche claims to have stopped after Den asked her to
A: Not only was the first instance Den asked her to stop after she was asked by both Nay and Morgana to do so, she only stopped after the third or fourth time Den requested and at this point she had already been banned from the cbox about 10 times.
Q: Asche claims that the banning was just a game
A: It was made quite clear that the initial banning was serious and any claim on Asche's part to not have known the reason behind the banning is deceitful. The reason was made very clear. The "game" was basically making a joke of the work required to keep her banned, not the banning.
Q: Is this ban permanent?
A: Yes. Asche has displayed several traits that are not welcome on Avalon, including a disregard for the staff, other members and even acting maliciously towards them.
Q: When did this happen?
A: Asche returned on the morning of 2010/02/26 ( UTC ) while her ( multitude of ) bans, with a duration of 7 days, started from the evening of the 19th and therefore had not expired. After nearly a day long discussion, the site ban was put into effect and this announcement was posted shortly after it was put in place.

Your attention fighter type characters!

The Fighter Abilities shop has been updated with the following changes:

- Fighter Speed and Strength levels have been removed.
- New basic abilities for Fighter Speed and Fighter Strength have been added.
- Abilities that made reference to Fighter Speed / Strength levels have been modified accordingly.
- Shelter and Asylum descriptions now include what the levels mean.
- Bastion has been made into a separate ability instead of an upgrade to Durability.
- Aura of Perseverance is now an upgrade to both Bastion and Durability.
- Minor table code clean-up.

Members who purchased Fighter Speed/Strength Levels may now request a refund from the shop at full price.

This is to officially announce the birth of Auraya

Some of you may have noticed there is a new member called Auraya and those that are new here won't recognise it, nor know of her predecessor so a little backstory might be in order for those amongst us.

A long time ago, a magical being known as Teario decided to create Alphonse, the first AdminBot. Alphonse did lots of helpful things and tried his best to make everyone's lives easier. Unfortunately, a series of Bad Things™ led to the death of Alphonse

Now, a not-so-magical being ( i.e. me ) has been allowed to create a new Bot for Avalon, hopefully doing all the useful things Alphonse did, and then some

She will be open source ( GPL ) and such and I will be happy to hear of any functionality ideas any of you think of that she can do!

Hopefully, she'll be up and running soon so I will keep you all posted

An IC victory made the outcome of this one fairly obvious. However, it ended up being a 2-1 split decision due to some power-playing on both sides in the last few posts of the match. Auto-hits are frowned upon people. Remember that for the final round.

Given that this battle did not finish, it was a close match and difficult to judge. Denthúl managed to come out ahead by a small margin in the end.

Good day, fellow Avalonians

This is just a warning to let you know that tomorrow (Monday 23rd November) at 12:00 GMT, the Cbox will be replaced with another. Once this happens, you will all need to re-register your Cbox names. Aside from that, there should be no other effects for members, so enjoy it as you would the current one.

Additionally, with the new Cbox comes a new Cbox moderator: Nayéla. She'll be helping us to keep the Cbox a pleasant place and a great experience for all members, so congratulations to her!

'Wyvern' has been removed from shops due to redundancy. The 'Greater Wyvern' has been renamed to just 'Wyvern'.

Further description has been added regarding size and capability of these beasts.

Dragons have been clarified as to how their 'breath' works. The effects is the same as the Draconian Breath spell in shops for ease of use. Also, new icon yay.

Prices have been edited to suit these changes.
